These are but tiny 100-word snippets of their lives, told one a day, every day, in 2023. Newest chapter: Mina Ashido is a vivacious hero in training. 196. Izuku Midoriya (Deku)

A.N. — Izuku Midoriya, it's your birthday (and Lemillion's, but he has to wait till tomorrow). It's a shame his birthday falls on a Saturday this year, 'cause traffic is always down on weekends. But having the main character might mitigate that. Happy birthday to someone who I will never, ever call Deku willingly.

196. Izuku Midoriya/Deku

He didn't regret inheriting All Might's quirk, but Izuku still wondered if he could've become the first quirkless hero. Would a lack of support structure and everybody doubting his dreams have conspired to keep Izuku downtrodden and defeated, or would his analytical mind and endless determination to save people have carried him to victory? He'd never know, but in the darker moments, he hoped.

One for All had brought Izuku power, but not always that long-sought acceptance. He trekked a torturous path so nobody ever had to endure his childhood. Izuku carried a legacy, while carving a new one.
