Gouhou Drug/Legal Drug/Drug & Drop is the property of CLAMP. As you probably saw from the summary, I've been following this series for a long time. I even wrote a fanfic here back in 2004 about it. I love this series and the lore, and it breaks my heart that it's gone on two hiatus's that have each lasted for a decade. I would love to see CLAMP finish this series once and for all, and I can imagine that many people like me hate being left hanging like this. So this fanfic is essentially how I would finish the series.

I hope you enjoy.

Once in a Lifetime Encounter

Prologue

She was about to leave for work when it happened. The kitchen was clean, and the vacuuming had been done. The apartment was clean and quiet. Nothing was out of place or out of the ordinary. It felt like an ordinary late morning.

She never saw it coming.

She swung her purse onto her shoulder when she heard her doorbell chime. Her stomach immediately knotted, but she shook the feeling off. She was home. It was daylight. Everything was fine. "I'm coming!" she called, and headed towards the door. As she was about to leave anyway, she slipped off her slippers and fitted her feet into her heeled shoes as she unlocked her front. "Please excuse m—"

The moment she cracked her front door open, whoever was on the other side threw it open violently. Her eyes went wide and she tried to scream, but a black gloved hand shot out and grabbed her throat. Her scream gurgled as the hand squeezed, silencing her.

The hand was attached to a large man dressed in a black trench-coat and he was wearing a white mask. An expressionless mask resembling a Noh mask. She did not know the man, but she knew who he was. She knew who he was associated with.

The man still held her by her throat as he forced her backwards away from the front door and back into the apartment. She was still wearing her shoes, and he was wearing his. More people dressed in black wearing masks flooded into her apartment; she counted five more figures, all of them bigger than her. She thought she saw a splash of white behind the black, but the hand around her throat squeezed again and she looked towards him. He continued to push her backwards until they were in the kitchenette.

One of the masked intruders moved ahead of them and pulled one of the chairs at the dining table out. She was then thrust into the chair with such force that it nearly toppled over. But it remained steady and she was let go. She clutched at her sore throat and she coughed, tears stinging her eyes from the pain. A little bit of fear, but mostly pain.

"Himura-san."

She quickly looked up at the man who had grabbed her. The six intruders dressed in black dispersed around the apartment, opening the doors to all the rooms. She thought she saw a glimmer of white again from the entryway, and she craned her neck to look—

"Himura-san," the man said again. His voice was void of emotion, but there was a dangerous edge to his tone. She looked back up to him. "Is he here?"

She stiffened as her throat cleared, and her eyes went wide. No…!

"Your little brother," the man clarified. "Is he at school?"

Her response was a very quick nod. "There is no one here," one of the intruders announced as they returned to the kitchenette. They took positions near the sink and the cupboards, watching her.

"He cannot help us anyway," the first man said. He looked at her. "Do you know why we're here, Himura-san?"

Her breathing evened as she stared up at the man in silence. After a few moments she lowered her hands and settled them into her lap. She said nothing.

"We are here to ask you a question," the man said. "A question we have asked you before. A question you will not answer. We were being nice before when we asked you, Himura-san. We will be nice but one more time.

"I'm going to ask the question again," the man continued. "I will only ask the question nicely once. Once I ask the question, if you refuse to answer we will continue to ask it. And every instance that you refuse to answer this question, we will make things very unpleasant for you. We would prefer that things not become unpleasant. Do you understand, Himura-san?"

She noticed movement again near the entryway. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and her breaths quickened. She didn't know that this would happen. If she had known…

But I wouldn't have known because this is MY future.

"Himura-san." An emotion finally rose to the man's voice. Impatience. She looked at him then and he leaned over her. "I will ask the question now."

She knew what the question was. It was a question they had asked her before when they had harassed her in the past. She gave them no answers then. She would give them no answers now.

It's a question I cannot answer anyways.

The man leaned in closer, his mask almost touching her face. She could not look away. When he asked the question, she could not contain the dread that surged inside of her. Because she knew nothing but bad things followed the question.

"Where is Kudou Kazahaya?"

You know how long I've been following this series? I remember a period where a portion of the fanbase was convinced that Tsukiko was Rikuou's ex-girlfriend, and that they couldn't be siblings because Kazahaya already had the "sibling dynamic" with Kei. Some fans had this idea that Rikuou was in to older women. Geez, now I feel old.
