Mostly will be Tris's Prov
The next few days, we mostly stayed in our apartment, only going out to meet everyone at the café for dinner. "Hey Tris, I know you're not feeling well, but we don't have a lot of food right now, I was going to go shopping this after, lunch..." We ended up going to the café, and sitting with Caleb and Chris, who if I was being honest, were totally smitten with each other. Chris took counter intelligent.
"Hey, can we sit with you guys?" I asked, as Eric smiled. "Eric, Max needs to speak to you urgently..." One of the other Dauntless leaders, I think his name was Jericho said. "Of course, sis. Sit." We ate lunch chattering about, the upcoming meal with our parents. "Hey, Tris, are you alright? You look a little pale..." Caleb asked. "I'm sure she's just missing her honey." Chris teased. I said "I'm fine" I lied simply. Eric came over, tapping my shoulder. "We need to go to abnegation, now..." I got up, as I told Caleb we'd be in touch. Eric then took me a to our apartment, where we packed a few things. "What's going on?" I asked, as I sat on the bed, putting things in a bag.
"Your parents called Max, specifically requesting you and I to come. I don't know all the details. Apparently, your parents were vague when they called." I nodded, as we went to where they kept the cars. "This one is ours." he said, unlocking one of the cars. "That one next to us is Max's. Only me and him have access to the cars, but seeing as you're my beautiful, sweet, sexy wife... You have access too." I blushed. "I won't be driving for a while... Not with my arm like this... or my leg..." "It's okay we have time." Eric said, as he sat our bags in the back seat, before opening my door and helped me in. "Thanks babe." I said, as he helped buckle me. "Thanks. I seriously don't deserve you."
He got in and drove to the Abnegation sector. "This is a secret passage way, no one knows about it apart from me, and Max." Eric said, as he parked. I unbuckled as, Eric got our bags before he helped me out. "Which one was your house?" I took his hand, leading him to the house. "What's Dauntless doing here...? This is a peaceful place..." I looked to them before I said "We received a call, so we're just here to investigate. I promise." That eased the other leaders, as I opened the door to my parents' house. "Mom?! Dad?!" I shouted, as I looked through the house.
"TRIS!" I heard Eric call as I entered the living room. "Thank god." Mom and dad said, with relief. "Hey. Are you all alright? You left a vague message with Max..." "We need protection... For the entire faction... The factionless... Have been making threats... Personally I think it might be because of Marcus... But we're not sure..." Mom handed me letters as we sat on the couch, Eric and I read the notes, okay, well Eric read them while I tried to combat the nausea. "Beatrice, are you alright?" My mom asked, causing Eric's eyes locked on mine.
"Morning sickness that bad again?" He asked, as My mom said "How far along are you sweetie? I have something that could help..." I took a deep breath, and said "What did Marlene say when she did the ultrasound?" Eric said "Marlene said she was just turning 19 weeks..." My mom said "Well there is some good news, it does get better. I just hope you don't suffer with the morning sickness the entire pregnancy... I know some people that's happened too..." I groaned. "No... Please... No... I don't want to have it the entire pregnancy..." Eric chuckled, and said "I'm sure it won't be the entire pregnancy... But do you want to try what your mom has?" I said "Frankly right now, I'll try anything..." My mom smiled and went to get it.
Dad, Eric, and I started talking about the plan of action, by the time mom returned with the medicine and a drink for all of us, we had a strong plan. I took the medicine and leaned against Eric. "So, you think the faction less will be targeting us versus the other leaders? But why us?" Eric said "Unfortunately, I think whoever is leading them, might want revenge since you two are the reason why Marcus is dead…" I said "Four mentioned… Oh Crap! I think I know who's behind these death threats… and if my hunch is correct… She'll stop at nothing. Four's mother left Abnegation and is hiding amongst the faction less… Marcus helped her fake the death…" My parents drew in a deep breath. "That would explain why we thought we saw her yesterday… So, what's the plan of action now?" Mom asked. I looked to Eric, who said "I'm going to call Max, once we get settled, and see if we can send some dauntless soldiers over and investigate, but is there a safe house we all can stay till we sort this out?" They shook their heads. "Okay, that's fine. Let me see what Max says, and we can go from there." Mom and dad nodded and said "You both can stay in Tris's old room. We'll let you guys get settled, while we get dinner ready." I smiled, as Eric got out things and helped me to my old room.
"Mom and dad haven't changed a thing I guess…" I commented as I sat on the bed, taking his hand in my good one. "Hey, I'm sorry, you have to stay in the 'stiff' house… I know it's not going to be fun for you." Eric laughed and knelt in front of me. "Are you serious? I married a former stiff, and she's the best damn part of my life." I blushed red. "I love you, Eric Coulter." "And I love you Beatrice Kyleigh Prior Coulter. More than ever." He kissed my lips once before calling Max, as he sat beside me.
"Hey, Max, yeah, we're here and settled… More of the story is, Four's mother's still alive, and she is targeting the Priors for killing Marcus… Apparently, he just abused Four, and not his wife. I don't know why his mom chose to join the factionless. Is there any way you can send Dauntless soldiers over to the faction less and deal with them? Tris and I want to stay at her parent's house to protect them… thanks Max. We'll check in soon." He hung up and started unpacking.
"Eric? Beatrice? Dinner's ready!" Dad said entering, without knocking. "DAD! What if Eric and I were in the middle of… Marital exploits?!" I said, flushing with embarrassment. Dad laughed and said "Sorry, I keep forgetting that you are a married women and that I need to knock." I stood for a moment before I stumbled a little. "Hey, whoa." Eric said as his arms slid around my waist. "I'm okay. Just got up to fast." Eric said "well let's keep an eye on it… let's get you some food." We joined my parents in the dining room and ate dinner quietly. "Beatrice, are you not hungry? You've hardly touched dinner..." My mother commented, causing Eric to look at me. "Oh, on the contrary, I'm hungry..." Eric said "Her dominant arm's the broken one, usually someone has to help her..." Eric helped me out, after dinner I said "If it's alright, with you I think I'm going to lie down... I'm getting a little bit of a head ache..." Eric said "Go on honey... Go lay down, I'll be there soon." I smiled as my mom and dad said "Go on, let us know if you need anything." I returned to the bedroom, picking up my phone, seeing a bunch of missed calls, from Max.
I dialed the number back. "Hey Max, it's Tris... Yeah, we're fine, we were just eating dinner and didn't bring our phones... Wait... What? Yeah Of course, I understand completely... Umm, Tell Caleb, and Chris to come here to our parents, we may need the extra hands... Thanks Max. I'll let Eric know. Stay safe, Max." I hung up before stepping out to the others. "Tris, I thought you were going to lie down?" Eric asked. "I was, but we missed a bunch of calls from Max..." Eric came over to me, wrapping an arm around my waist. "I called back, and he let me know, the factionless are already planning on attacking abnegation tomorrow, or tonight... I told him to send Caleb and Chris, because we'll probably need the help, and I also told him I would let you know..." Eric said "Okay. Thanks honey. Now go lie down. I'll be there soon." He kissed my head. I nodded, and returned to the bedroom, changing best I could do, before I laid down, closing my eyes, to try and ignore the pounding headache. It didn't take long before I felt a pair of arms around me, and strong hands resting on my belly. "MMM." I moaned, snuggling into his arms. "Sleep now, Tris. I've got you." I fell asleep against his chest.
In the morning I woke before Eric and managed to dress. "MMM Morning Trissy." Eric said as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. "Morning..." We went out to the others. "Morning Caleb. Morning Chris." I greeted them in the kitchen making breakfast. "Morning." Mom and dad joined us, and we ate. "Eric, Look..." I pointed to the window, seeing a face staring directly at us. "Natalie, Andrew, get down." Eric instructed, quietly. "Caleb, Chris, follow." I ducked with my parents. "Shh stay quiet." I heard glass shattering, before gun shots. "Stay down. Do not move until one of dauntless comes back." I whispered getting up and moving towards the others. WE shot all the factionless, before Eric and I knelt down to start cleaning the glass shards.
"Caleb, Chris, Go to mom and dad." I said as I put a big shard in a bag. As I picked up another and dropped it in the bag, I let out a cry of pain. "OW." Eric took my hand in his, resting it on his lap. "Hang on..." He tied something around my arm, restricting the blood flow to the wound. "There. Caleb!" Eric called. I looked at my hand. "Eric, I'm so sorry..." I started, as I felt tears spring to my eyes. Eric gently wiped them. "For what? Getting cut? For crying? Damn it Tris, don't even think I'm mad about any of this. You are the strongest women I know." Caleb approached and said "Damn it. Tris, Go and sit on the couch, Chris! Mom! Dad!" I obeyed, as Eric came over, stroking my hair from my face. "It'll be alright babe." Chris, mom and dad all appeared quickly. "Oh Dear." Mom started. Eric said "Alright, we're going to need to tag team. Caleb, you, dad and Chris, finish cleaning the glass and try and figure out a way to fix the window. Mom, you and I will tend to Tris's hand." Mom nodded and said "Let me get a few things first. Let's get to work." I leaned my head on Eric, as he said "Shh. It's okay. I'm right here."
Mom and Eric cleaned my hand. "That's really deep..." Eric whispered to my mom. "I know... I can stitch it up here but I don't have anything to numb her hand..." Mom whispered back. Eric looked to me, before saying "Tris? Would you be okay with doing the stitches here?" I nodded, as I felt Eric slide behind me, and wrapped his arms around my waist, his hands resting on my belly. Mom started stitching up my hand, surprised by refusal to flinch.
Once she finished, she wrapped my hand up and causing me to curl up into Eric's arms. "Shh, babe. It's okay..." He rocked me back and forth. "I'm sorry, it's going to be okay." I snuggled against his chest, "I've got you baby, I got you." He whispered. "I feel like I'm a coward..." "You're not, honey. Believe it or not, I've actually cried too, it doesn't mean your weak, it's just what we tell the initiates. I can tell you before you became my co head leader, and my wife, I cried in the office." I smiled a little. "SO you don't think I'm coward?" I asked. "Never, babe." I smiled as I felt his lips on my head. "Tris? Why do I get the feeling like you are losing your self confidence?" I looked to Eric, and said "I think I'm just feeling really self-conscious... I mean, I have a broken arm, and leg, a cut up hand, and a huge belly..."
"You really think you're not beautiful?" Eric asked, causing me to remain quiet. "Tris..." Eric moved and knelt in front of me. "That is ridiculous. You've never been more sexier. The fact you're carrying a little baby inside you, makes your all the more beautiful. I've never seen a pregnant who has looked sexier." I smiled. "Thank you, You always know what to say to make me feel better." Eric kissed my head, as I said "Oh! Eric, feel." I moved his hand to my belly, where there was a firm kick. "Whoa... Was that the first time?" I said "It was the first time it was that strong... I thought I felt flutters, but these were very distinct." Eric kissed my lips before laying his head on my belly. "Hey there little one... or little one's. I'm your daddy. I love you so much, and I can't wait to meet you." He kissed my belly.
"Eric? Tris?" Caleb asked. "Hmm?" Eric said looking up. "The four of us are going to step out, to get material to make the window. Would you guys be alright?" I nodded, as Eric said "We'll be alright." We stayed the rest of the day, and enjoyed a meal, mom and dad getting to know Chris, and even Eric a little more. "We should head back to Dauntless..." Mom said "No, please stay, the night, You guys are exhausted." I looked to Eric, who locked his eyes on mine. "If you want my opinion Eric... I think we should take them up on the offer... I mean, I am pretty tired, and look at you, You are exhausted!" "Then it's settled. Tris and I would be honored to stay." Eric grinned, as Caleb said "Chris? How do you feel?"
Chris said "I'd like to stay too. I'm exhausted, and look at you, you're exhausted too." "Then it unanimous! Caleb, Chrism You can take his old room, We trust you both." Mom stated as Eric said "Thank you, I know I speak for at least Tris, and myself, when I say that we are incredibly grateful." "We are too." Caleb said, as we ended up entering our rooms. I quickly showered, and got dressed for bed. "Let me check your hand." He said, as he sat next to me, I put my hand on his lap automatically. Eric looked it over, gently and re-wrapped it. "It looks like it's just fine, but I want to keep it wrapped up to prevent infections." I nodded, as I laid on the bed, while he went and changed, before he wrapped his arms around me, as we drifted to sleep.
