Warning: Slight spoilers for Lucifer Season 6. There is one big one, but nothing plot related, kind of.
The Empire State Building
"What do you mean that Olympus is closed?!" Percy said.
"I'm sorry sir, but Zeus has closed Olympus until further notice. There's nothing I can do for you." The guard said.
"Thank you anyway." Percy said.
Percy turned around and let the smile fall from his face. He started to walk out of the Empire State Building. Zoë followed closely behind him. Her hands twitched, showing her frustration.
Percy started to monologue in his head, nodding along as if he was saying, "Be like that."
They exited the building and entered the light of his creation. It didn't blind them. In fact, they looked straight into the sky, right where a floating mountain sat, hovering above the city.
Percy looked at Zoë, and motioned to the floating mountain. She said nothing, but her smirk said it all.
Within a few seconds they were on Olympus. Percy put Zoë down and retracted his wings. They looked around. The streets were empty, and quiet. None of the braziers were lit, and the place felt abandoned. It felt like the entire mountain was holding its breath, waiting for something terrible to happen.
They shook it off and walked up the street to the throne room. The massive doors were closed, no difference there, but they were locked. Percy sighed and Zoë backed up.
Percy placed his hands on each door and got ready. He pushed with all his strength. In hindsight, probably not a great idea since both doors broke under the force, turning into nothing but sawdust and splinters.
Percy shook his hand, before looking at the gods of Olympus. Zeus looked pissed about the door, while Hera looked unbothered. Poseidon looked happy, while Ares also looked pissed. Apollo looked like he was about to invite Percy out to a bar, while Hephaestus looked at him with no reaction, but seemed to be gazing intently at the smashed doors. Maybe he could do that thing he had wanted to do for a while now. Hermes looked on with confusion.
Most of the goddesses looked on with the same expression, disinterest. All except 2. Aphrodite, who looked like she was planning on getting Percy into her bed. And Artemis, who was looking at Zoë with excitement.
And of course Hestia was in the middle, also looking happy at seeing her favorite angel again.
It was almost Zeus who spoke first, but Percy beat him to the punch. "Terrible reception you have. I mean, trying to tell me that Olympus was closed, when the doors to the throne room are so easy to break."
"Olympus IS closed, and you shouldn't be here."Zeus said.
"It'll be quick, if you help me out here."
Zeus sighed. "What do you need?"
"Jurisdiction to do whatever I want in your neck of the woods."
"WHAT! NO! DENIED!" Zeus said. "And besides, you interfered without permission last time!"
"Last time was different!"
"How?!"
"I was in a body created by Poseidon, giving me permission-"
"And then you lost that body!"
Percy glared at the king, before responding in a frosty tone. "If you would let me finish my fucking sentence, you would hear that I was given jurisdiction by Hestia to fight in the war. With that ended, I need jurisdiction again!"
"And what about your precious wife, huh? How about those years she spent with the hunt? Where was your permission then?!" Zeus said, smugly. He smirked, for he knew he had one. Or, so he thought.
Percy turned to Artemis. "You accept girls of all kinds into your hunt, right?"
Artemis nodded.
"So a demon wouldn't be a problem?"
"Theoretically no."
Percy nodded, before turning back to Zeus. "And if Artemis accepted that demon into her hunt, that means jurisdiction has been given. So why in Hell, can I not have jurisdiction now?"
Zeus' smile faded. "You can't have it!"
"Give me a reason why!"
"YOU CAN'T HAVE IT!"
"AND WHY NOT?!"
"BECAUSE YOU'LL OVERTHROW ME!"
Percy's face hardened. "You're telling me. That the reason I can't go rescue my daughter, is because you're scared to lose power?!"
Zeus' face turned to one of shock, and maybe, just maybe, fear.
"You have a daughter?" Apollo asked.
"Yes, and she is currently missing. And if your stupid father won't give me jurisdiction freely, I'll just beat it out of him." Percy's burning hands revealed just how much anger was brewing.
"WAIT!" Hera yelled. "You're a deal maker right?"
Percy's hands stopped burning. "Yes, why?"
"What if we can make a deal?"
"What if we could?" Percy muttered. There was no telling what the gods would want in return for his request, but honestly, it couldn't be worse than what already happened. "What would you want?"
"I'll grant you jurisdiction, if you join some demigods on a quest."
"That can't be it, what's the catch?"
"The quest is actually two. We need someone to unite the Greek and Roman camps, so you'll be at Camp Jupiter. They'll have a quest to defeat a giant. The second quest will have you and 6 others travel to Greece to defeat Gaia."
"Gaia?"
Hera nodded.
Percy considered the deal that he was offered. He would have to fight giants and the Earth itself. But he would get the chance to rescue his daughter. What a coincidence, that his daughters kidnapper is the same deity that the gods need him to defeat. But what would Zoë do? She wouldn't sit idly while her daughter was in danger.
"Let Zoë be one of the six and you'll have a deal." Percy decided.
Hera looked around before nodding.
"Alright, I think we're done here then." Percy said, before walking out of the throne room. Zoë followed closely behind him.
"Are you sure this is the best course of action?" Zoë asked.
"I fear it's the only one we have."
Percy looked over the railing at the city below. A year ago in this universe he had stood here and given the demigods the idea to hold Manhattan. It looks like they had rebuilt the city quickly.
The fact that it was only a year in this universe kind of blew his mind. It had been thousands of years for him and his family, since time moved faster in their universe.
"I know, but I can't help but feel that bad things are going to happen." Zoë said.
"I feel it too."
"You don't know?"
Percy shook his head. "It's like I have the general idea but the details are hazy. The actions, the events, they aren't there; I only know the feelings."
"It's killing you, isn't it?"
"I mean, a little yeah. Hardship on the horizon, and I have no expectations, or ideas to go off here. It's like I'm blind in an eye."
"Well, whatever it is, I'm sure I'll be there with you."
Percy smiled, I'm sure you would. Let's just hope that the first quest doesn't take too long so I can deal with Miss Earth."
"Maybe the universe will give the Devil his due." Zoë said, smirking.
Percy shook his head. "Dad jokes are my thing. Literally."
"Don't you have something to be doing now?"
"Well, I'm sorry, someone happens to be distracting me." A smile was on both of their faces.
"Well get to it, it's our daughter on the line."
Percy kissed his wife, before backing away from the railing. He turned around and ran towards it. He jumped onto it and pushed off, flying into the air. He unfurned his wings and took off towards the Roman camp.
"I'm coming Rory. Dad's coming to the rescue."
A/N. Well, I'm back on my bullshit. PtDA has a sequel, and I hope it dosen't fuck up the ending of the last one. I also hope this story doesn't end up like shit. I don't think it will, but hey, there's always a possibility.
So, we pick up either a year, or thousands of years later, depending on how you want to look at it. Their daughter has been kidnapped by a minion of Gaia, and now Percy has to go rescue her.
Percy and Zoë's daughter, Aurora, or Rory for short, is the same one from the show. (Just you know, with Zoë as the mother and not Chloe.)
Thoughts?
