There's nothing like a long hot shower to clear your thoughts, however something didn't add up. While attempting to remember anything that could have led to this point, vague memories of my life would flash into my mind. Learning to ride a bike in front of the Aspertia Pond and nearly falling in. Getting stuck in detention for bringing in a box full of weird blue tadpoles and letting them loose in the classroom. Camping out on the cliff side outside of the city.
These memories felt nostalgic yet blurred like the edges of a worn photo. The harder I focused on the memory the more warped it became. A ringing brought me from my shower thoughts and alerted me, to what I assume, was the doctor signing out Buneary. Changing into a simple brown t-shirt and a loose pair of Jean's, I went to get my small rabbit friend.
"Greetings!", Nurse Joy said with a smile, "I see you managed to find something from the lost and found."
Her smile dipped and she leaned close to whisper, "You cleaned up good, honestly I was worried when I saw you walking beside Manae."
The shirt was a little smaller then I would like and the pants a bit too big, yet I didn't want to stare a gift horse in the mouth.
"So about Buneary?", I asked.
"Oh right, just a moment.", she said while reaching for the unmistakable purple ball, "He's good as new but I would recommend waiting a day before battling."
The nurse handed me the masterball and with a click out came Buneary stretching on the counter. The rabbit nodded at the nurse, glared a bit too long at the pink blob monster, and sprunged onto my head. Buneary began scanning the room for any more opponents which was the sign to hold the little guy still.
"Thanks for the heal and uhh…," I chuckled out, "This is free right?"
The nurse giggled and waved her hand, "Not unless you broke something.", her face took an inquisitive look, "You didn't right?"
"No…", the word dragged itself out my mouth as I glanced at the rabbit.
A smile returned to her face, "Then you got nothing to worry about. Remember to drop the keycard later when you're done with the room."
I bid farewell to the nurse and exited the building, yet I saw no sign of Manae and had no clue where I was. Before I had a chance to ask for directions a hand grabbed my shoulder.
"Excuse me sir.", the voice drawn on, "I'm going to have to ask you a few questions."
"You said the pokemon center was free right?", the tourist trainer Zack asked.
Monferno tugged at my pants with a grin in his usual peppy manner, "Mon, mon! Fue ferno! Fue fue fue."
While Manae was busy with the tourist, I scooped Monferno onto my shoulder. He stuck his hand out awaiting his reward and ignoring the bruising on his forehead.
"Maybe we should take care of that.", pointing out the injury on his head. Monferno shook his head with fervor and flexed his arms to prove his argument. I decided to humor him and gave him a puffin, "I'll use a potion after lunch then."
The tourist went back into the pokemon center Buneary in hand. Manae turned to address me, "So you are going to stay here a little longer right?"
Sparkles filled her eyes as she was going to rattle on Eterna's must see sights when her Poketch rang. Her excitement mellowed as she answered the call, "Hello Manae speaking…yes…his name is Zack…yes he's safely arrived at the…yes…I'll be on my way."
Manae hunged up the Poketch and did a slight bow, "My apologies, I must be going now. If you see Zack tell him I said good bye. Oh and remember to take in the sights!"
I saluted Manae and patched up Monferno who was wiping his hands on my shirt. A glare got him to stop and nervously chuckle before I returned him. "A good walk around sounds good actually."
"Look I'm telling the truth, I just woke up and found myself…", a slap ended my train of thought. I bit my lip holding back the urge to yell and stared back at the bowl head douche. "Seriously that's what happened!"
The bowl head scowled as he nursed his hands. He nodded to the small gray humanoid and walked out of the room. The gray humanoid cracked his knuckles and, with a grin, landed a blow on my bruised body before following bowl head.
"Probably should've gotten Manae number.", I coughed out, "would've been helpful 'bout now."
The zip ties dug into my skin as I struggled against them and the colors of the room began to fade as I tried to catch my breath. As my light headedness began to intensify and my fight for conciousness was about to end, a strong bitter taste made me gag. The disgusting flavor jolted me back up and i took notice of another bowl head, yet rather then the tall if skinny douche, it was a shorter woman with a weary look on her face.
She held a some kind of root looking vegetable in her hands and spoke slowly, "We need you in good health so if you would."
She shoved the disgusting root to my face. I bit into the root and tossed into across the room. Her expression did not change and she pulled out a pokeball from belt. From the red flash came claws that slashed at my face.
"Meoooow, glam.", cried something as my eyes were shut tight.
"I'll give you a head start.", coldedly stated the bowl woman.
Pressure was released from my wrists and ankles as I heard footsteps walking away. I scrambled to my feet and opened my burning eyes. Aderanlin surged through me, as though my body reacted to the opportunity that presented itself before me, and I booked it
No sooner did I exit the room did an alarm go off. Various bowl heads spilt out from the rooms darting the hall. Their attention focused solely on me. I dashed opposite of the mob, ignoring the burning from my face, and nearly reached the end of the hall. More bowl heads came from in front with shouts to stop. I braced myself as I rammed into them shoulder first, knocking them into one another, but was tackled from behind. The force sending my head hard into the floor.
The bowl mob gathered around me to ensure my capture. There hands held me down as a yellow, spoon wielding fox stood over me. A wave of nausea over came me, the feeling of dread sent shivers down my spine, and warped memories flooded my mind.
"Ka…da…bra. Ka…da…bra. Ka…da…bra.", chanted the fox. My mind flowing with the rythem and my vision slowly fading.
"Discharged!"

Note:
And so we have someone playing the hero with the last minute save.
Funny enough the previous chapter was supposed to start with Zack's questioning. Honestly I cannot say I won't write plot conveniences if it pushes the plot.
Regardless, I thank you for the review on the previous chapter though I would advise keeping expectations low, I am just casually writing this after all.
Catch you next time.
