Chapter 49

What a few days it had been. So good, actually, Liv, Chloe, and Fitz decided to stay an extra two days in Santa Barbara after their little excursion to Disneyland. There was no rush to get back to Rutland and Chloe enjoyed having her own room now that Sparks and his family went back to their home.

Lara and Bryce were on facetime with Chloe, and she was going on and on about the trip to Disneyland. "it was fabuwous mom and dad, the pwincesses were so nice to me. They can't wait to meet Awissa and Bwianna." Chloe was talking about all the interactions she had with the characters.

Liv gave an elbow to Fitz. "Imagine that the little one had a good time without throwing anything in the fountain."

Fitz just smirked at her. He leaned over to her ear so only she could hear. "Keep being a wise ass, I'll get you back in the bedroom." He pecked her neck and looked at her, knowing he was not playing fair.

Her hormones were in overdrive, Fitz knew that. She couldn't remember a time since they began making love him having to stop her from wanting it so much. She laughed right back at him. "Oh yeah, seems like you can't handle me lately." She winked and threw him a kiss.

Chloe handed the iPad to Fitz. "Daddy has business with you." She turned to Olivia. "Can we go watch some video from Disneywand pwease Wivvie?"

"Sure can Little Princess, then right to bed. We'll be heading out early tomorrow to do some Santa Barbara shopping." Liv reminded her.

"I am so so happy we decided to stay extwa time. Gewwy and Wucinda are so so nice." Chloe looked over at Fitz. "Tell my daddy good night."

In a bit under a half hour, Chloe had fallen asleep, her headphones on as she watched the video of Disneyland. Liv left the earphones on, figuring she would go back and take them off before her and Fitz headed in for the night.

Gerry and Lucinda had gone to their neighbor's house. It was a beach community get together, kind of a mini festival. They so wanted Fitz and Liv to go, but Liv just didn't have the energy after walking in the parks for two days.

Daisy was at Fitz's feet and Liv plopped down next to him on the couch, leaning back with her head against his chest. His arm immediately went around her, and they interlocked hands. Fitz had the Giants game on mute, and they were looking at the screen.

She felt Fitz rub his lips through her hair, his breath on her neck. "Did you enjoy your time here Liv?"

"So much Fitz. It's been amazing. I can't wait to get home and spend time with mom next. She'll have stories for you like your dad had for me. Although I didn't have passes to a beach you know."

"Oh, come on, I'm sure I'm going to find out things I'll be surprised with." He kissed her cheek. "How are you feeling? Not much morning sickness?"

"No, I mean I've felt nauseous here and there, but thankfully, it's good. Lucia said that's a sign I'm going to have a rough third trimester if the first was easy. I do hope she's wrong."

"Whatever it is, I'll be here for it all Livvie." Fitz rubbed his thumb over the top of her hand.

She switched so her head was now resting on his lap, and he looked down at her. Her hand went to the back of his neck and pulled him down for a kiss. "You have taken the best care of me." Fitz's hand was now under her shirt, rubbing the smooth skin on her stomach.

"Are you feeling better about the scars? My father asked about them when you were in the water, he thinks they're pretty impressive, Lucia thinks they are just pretty. She told me how gorgeous you are."

"Aww, she's so sweet." Liv took a deep breath. "I'm still afraid of how they will look with the big round belly, but I'm focused on getting back, having the ultrasound, and moving forward." She paused. "Fitz?"

"Huh?" He was looking at the game. "What is it, Livvie?"

"Have you ever told your father about your episodes? Does he..?"

"No!" Fitz cut her off. "Sorry, I didn't mean to get loud. I'm just not ready for him to ever see me in that state or try to imagine me in that state." Fitz looked away, not at the TV, just away.

"Hey." Liv sat up now and faced him. "They are a part of you, just like my scars are a part of me."

"I know, but." He just shook his head. "Can we just not?" Fitz looked back at the television. "Ha! Serves you right!"

Liv looked to see what he was talking about. Trent was up and he struck out with the bases loaded. Liv even gave a chuckle. "I say two years, tops, if that, this guy has left in the majors. What a waste of talent."

Liv's head fell to Fitz's shoulder. She felt herself drifting off with the sound of the game as background noise. She didn't want to fall asleep there, but she was just so tired. Thank goodness she didn't go back to the bedroom. While Liv was asleep, the beach community was calling it an end to the night with fireworks. Fitz jumped at the sound of the first one, not expecting it and his mind went elsewhere to drown it out.

Fitz sat in the dark cell. He hadn't seen light for a while now, he wasn't sure how many days, but it had to be more than two. He wondered where Mike had gone. Having nothing at all to do, he sat on the dirt floor against the dirt wall and thought of the beach outside his home.

He closed his eyes and he saw the blue waves crashing into the ocean. Fitz could make it real enough to reach his hand out and think he was touching the cool water. He looked to his right and saw Steph, his high school friend crash down off his surfboard from the big wave he tried to ride.

"Hey Steph, do better man." He called out to his blonde haired buddy.

"You do better Bruh." He held up the surfboard challenging Fitz. Who was Fitz to ever turn down a challenge?

Fitz opened his eyes. He saw nothing but darkness. He swore he heard some Arabic dialect screaming outside, but he calmed himself and closed his eyes again. He wanted to be back on that beach.

In a swift, one run motion, Fitz swooped the board from Steph's hands and belly down paddled it out further to catch the incoming waves. Up and down went the surfboard until Fitz saw the wave coming in.

Feeling that cool water splash his tanned body, he stood up quickly on the board. Just barely in time, his board got the top of the wave, and he balanced himself. Momentarily he went into the wave and brought the board back up.

From his view, the wave had a few more feet and it would be a clean surf. Once he rode it out, he put his belly down again and paddled to Steph. "Lucky son of bitch." Steph said to him.

"No, not luck my friend, all skill. It's all about confidence." He smiled at his friend.

"Yeah, you motivated, let me get the next wave." Steph said, but Fitz held him back.

"No, Steph, look at the clouds. We need to get back to shore, the thunder will begin soon."

Steph looked back at Fitz. "Hey man, you alright? Fitz, you ok? Why are you sitting in the ocean? Fitz, man get up." Steph was screaming now over the loud booms of thunder. But it wasn't thunder at all.

Fitz opened his eyes again. This time he was in the corner of the dirt cell covering his ears. He could feel his body shaking, shaking and he couldn't control it. No good thoughts could control the sounds he heard from outside the cell.

"BOOM, CRASH, BOOM, BOOM" It was automatic rifle fire, it was bombs, it was screaming, there was death, Fitz could hear there was death, what was going on?

Suddenly his cell door opened. The light blinded him. He held his hand up in front of his eyes, and he heard someone scream in English, "get the fuck out of here, it's going to blow."

Fitz couldn't move, he was sweating, he was squinting, and the heat of the sunlight that just came through the door froze him, ironically.

Liv heard the door open, and heard Lucia give a small shriek. "El asunto?"

Gerry ran towards the corner of the living room. Liv raised her head, which was resting now on the couch, quite confused. Daisy was whimpering a bit and nudged Liv's hand, giving the indication this had just begun.

Liv looked over to the corner. She heard a boom in the distance, and then looked over at Fitz. "Jesus, Fitz." Liv jumped up, getting in Gerry's path to him and sat next to him and cradled his head. "Fitz." Liv whispered, "It's ok." His hair was already drenched in sweat.

Liv heard another loud boom. "Lucia, go check on Chloe, please, make sure she doesn't walk in here."

Lucia nodded with concern and went towards Chloe's room.

Gerry got down next to Liv. "What is this? What the hell is happening?"

"Gerry, please." Liv tried not to sound rude. "Just give it a few minutes. Are those fireworks?"

"Yeah, it's for the festival, we came back wanting to know if you wanted to watch them with us.." Gerry stopped. "This is PTSD?" He was pointing to Fitz.

Fitz's eyes were distant, not looking at any of them, just his hand on Daisy's collar and his head in Liv's chest. Liv tilted her head to his. She looked at Gerry. "Please Gerry, just let me help him through this, then I'll have all the answers for you."

Gerry covered his mouth with his hand. Liv could see tears building up in his eyes. "What did I do to him?" He whispered, now rubbing his forehead as he stood up, still looking down.

"Get me a cool cloth." Liv instructed Gerry, as another firework boom went off. "When are the damn things going to stop?" With each sound, Fitz would fall right back into fear mode.

Daisy nudged Fitz's hand and Fitz grabbed her collar as Liv hooked under his arm and stood him up. She motioned to Gerry to stay out of sight and was able to guide Fitz to the bedroom. Liv grabbed the cloth as she passed Gerry.

Slowly, she got Fitz down on the bed and the fireworks were in the finale mode, loud consecutive booms, and Liv held Fitz's head close to her chest, rubbing his hair with the cloth to try to soak up the sweat. She was trying desperately to hold back tears.

"Fitz." She whispered. "Fitz, think of the beach, ok, remember when we made love on the beach. Honestly, that was my best time here in Santa Barbara, making love to you on the beach. The waves, the sound of them in the backdrop as I felt you inside me." She stopped. Feeling his body calm a bit, and the shaking begin to subside, Liv noticed the booms had stopped.

Fitz slowly looked up at her, still sweating and giving off a few more shivers. His head tilted and rested on her shoulder now as she rubbed his bare back. "I remember feeling so scared, which I had no right to, scared to take off my top, and you put an end to that."

Fitz was just listening now to her soothing voice. It was at that moment that Gerry stopped by the door. He didn't mean to eavesdrop, but he was so touched by the love Olivia had for his son. He just listened along with Fitz as Liv spoke, her voice such comfort.

"Right, Fitz, you knew what I was trying to get away with. No way you were letting me off the hook without showing you my bikini top." Liv took a sighing laugh. "You do that to me Fitz. You make me love the body I have grown to hate. Your words, your love for me, they bring out an acceptance in me I never thought I would have." Kissing the top of his head now, she could feel how relaxed his body had become. His hand reached up slowly and caressed her cheek.

Without looking at her, he said "You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, Livvie." His breath was shallow, and his words seemed weak, but he was coming to. Slowly, he was coming back.

"And you are the bravest, most gorgeous man I have ever known. Think of that beach, Mister, think of the time we spent there. I didn't even know about Club Fitz T then, right, but I earned my platinum I would say." She smiled now and let the quiet of the room overtake them now.

When he finally looked at her, she cupped his face. "Better now?" Her eyes were dancing with his now. They were so blue, so innocent, it looked like he was trying to apologize with them.

"You didn't do anything wrong Fitz."

He leaned in and just kissed her. Liv let her lips fall into his. When he stopped, he rested his head on her chest and closed his eyes.

This time he saw the clear blue water, but he was standing in it. It was calm now, not too many waves, and he turned towards the shore. Fitz saw her now; he saw Livvie standing in her beautiful bikini top. He didn't see her scars because they weren't there.

He drifted more into his peaceful sleep now. "They aren't there anymore Fitz because you took them from me. You made me realize they don't define me." He put his arms around her and carried her to the calm ocean blue water.

They laughed and when Fitz placed her down, she pointed. He looked out to the ocean and saw a family of dolphins jumping in and out of the water. It was finally calm, peaceful, and Fitz fell deep into his sleep.

Liv walked out of the room. Gerry was on the couch now with Lucia resting on his shoulder. Liv took a seat across from them. She took a deep breath and began to tell them about the episodes she had witnessed.

"The first was soon after I met him, but he never told me why. Then, our weekend at the cabin over the holidays we confided in each other what we had been through. Before he told me his story, he had one. There was one more, after I told him I was pregnant."

Gerry just stared at the floor shaking his head. "I had no idea." He whispered.

"No one did, Gerry, and only a handful of people know about them. We've talked to someone this is very normal for what he went through. It's PTSD, and it will be with him for the rest of his life."

"Eres tan Buena con el" Lucia said through her tears. "Fitz is lucky to have you."

"We take care of each other. I wish I could take the memory of those two years away, just like he wishes he could take the pain of my accident away. We both know that can't happen, so we love each other through it."

"What do I say to him tomorrow?" Gerry was concerned.

"Let him come talk to you. I'll talk to him in the morning. Besides the fireworks tonight, there could be other triggers. Honestly, I thought the room may have been a trigger, but it wasn't We just don't know."

"Daisy is trained to help him?"

Liv shook her head. "I don't think she's trained. I think she's accustomed and knows when he's in distress. Before I came along it was just him and her. I know Sophie was a witness to one, Bryce too. Sophie knew why, Bryce didn't. He went through a lot of this alone."

Gerry rubbed his eyes and Lucia rubbed his back. "No es tu culpa" She comforted him.

"Lucia is right, Gerry, it's no one's fault. Just don't make a big deal about it, ok." Liv gave a yawn. "I'm going back in there with him. Could you two just"

Before she could finish Lucia chimed in. "Don't worry about Chloe, we'll take care of her in the morning."

''Gracias." Liv walked over to Gerry. She gave him a hug. "He's happier than I've seen him spending time with you these few weeks, this means the world to him." Without looking at him, Liv went to the bedroom and joined Fitz in sleep.

Fitz blinked his eyes open. The sunlight was shining into the room, but he couldn't move. Liv had her arm hooked around him much like an anchor holds a boat. They were lying facing each other. Liv was soundly sleeping, but the grip her arm had around his body, he couldn't move.

It was as if she was holding him from a danger she saw and didn't want him to see. He rubbed his eyes and thought back to last night. He froze, then looked back at Olivia who hadn't moved. His dreams. Then he thought of the first boom of fireworks.

"Shit" he whispered, or so he thought. "God no." He closed his eyes.

Liv opened hers the moment he closed his. "Fitz?" Her arm still locked securely around his body.

"I had an episode, didn't I? Did my father see it? Judging by the way you have me arm locked, I'm thinking yes."

Liv finally let his body go, and she explained everything to him, including how sad and guilty his father felt. "It's important you have a long talk with him, maybe go on the beach and do it."

Taking Chloe to the playground beyond the beach. We should be back in about an hour. The text came into Liv's phone, and she turned to Fitz.

"We have an hour. Your dad and Lucia took Chloe to the playground."

"How bad was it?" Fitz was rubbing his hand now through his hair.

"It was intense, but you got through it."

He looked back at her now. "Only because of you Livvie. What would I do without you?"

She rubbed his cheek gently. "Well, you'll never know now, will you?" She pulled him down for a kiss.

He stopped and looked at her, putting his hand under her shirt. "One hour?"

"One hour" she nodded, smiling.

Her shirt was off in no time, and Fitz was gently using his tongue to circle around her nipple. Her breasts were becoming a bit tender and Fitz could feel that. Without even looking up at her and feeling Liv's hands grasp his head, rubbing his hair, his hand went down and removed her lace underwear she was wearing.

His tongue continued on her nipple, and Liv closed her eyes, he made her feel so good. You wouldn't think he was so paralyzed just a few hours ago. She felt his hand reach the top of her clit, and her legs began some movement with the bolt running through her body.

Still using his one finger to circle her juices around, he raised his head and kissed her hard and long, as her arms wrapped around his shoulders, pulling him into the kiss and he heard her moan in his mouth.

"My favorite sound, Livvie, when I weaken you." He smiled and within a second, his tongue overtook where his finger was, and he was swirling around her entrance before going fully in.

Liv's body arched, as that sensation ran through her, and he worked his magic with is tongue. "God Fitz." Her legs now, seemingly on their own, bent at the knees and her hand rubbed his hair.

His two hands gripped her thighs as if to pull her closer to him, thinking he could get any deeper than he was. Liv lost all control and Fitz heard her heavy breathing as she moaned a low moan, and with his eyes focused on her gorgeous face, Fitz saw her head turn and her body weaken in orgasm.

Tasting her for a bit longer, he pulled his boxers down and before he entered her, he moved her head so they were eye to eye. With so much longing in his as he was looking at her, Liv took a moment to try to relax her body.

"I love you so much Livvie." He used one thrust, and he was deep in her.

"Ahh, Fitz." Her legs wrapped at the ankles holding his body hostage right where he was.

He didn't mind at all, as he slowly penetrated more into her. His lips just above hers. His breath beating down on her mouth. "So. Much." He whispered deep and low, and he brought his lips down to hers, continuing to push into her softly.

Her body was becoming weak again, and all she could do was move in rhythm with him. Feeling her weakness, he rolled her around, so she was on top and he grasped her hips, moving her on his dick and watching as she used her hands to feel her breasts.

"Fitz." She whispered, and her body went down. His thrusts continued until she felt him empty inside her, and she buried her face in the crook of his neck. "Fitz, I love you." She breathed deeply into his neck.

They showered quickly together, and Liv got ready to go on the shopping spree with Chloe and Lucia. "Remember," she rubbed Fitz's back. "Be honest with your dad. I believe he's been honest with you."

Chloe broke any awkward silence there would be in the room as Fitz and Liv walked out. She ran to Fitz and he picked her up mid run, rubbing her nose on his. "Good morning, Fitz and Wivvie, the pwaygwound was so so fun. They have a mewwy go wound, it spins so so much. Gewwy was spinning and spinning me." She giggled.

"This is our last day here Chloe," Fitz gave her a small peck on her cheek. "Have the best time shopping with Liv and Lucia, ok."

Chloe clapped her hands as Fitz put her down. "I can't wait to buy so so much. Evewything will say Santa Bawbawa, right Wucia."

"Si Galinda." She motioned to Liv and just like that the ladies were out the door, leaving Gerry and Fitz to have their talk.

Fitz looked at Gerry, a bit tight lipped. "So I heard you saw me at my best last night huh?"

Gerry put his head down. "Fitz, I, I just don't know what to say. I should've known it wasn't just over because you came back."

Fitz shrugged. "It's not something I publicize. Want to take a walk with me on the beach?"

Gerry paused for a bit. "Do I need a membership?" He smiled.

Fitz gave a relaxing laugh back. "Ha, real funny, Dad." He opened the door and father and son walked and talked for well over two hours.

Fitz left nothing unsaid and even though they spoke in length in DC, here it was different. Gerry learned of his son's fears, his seclusion, and his episodes. He agreed with Gerry how lucky he was to have someone like Olivia in his life who accepted him for what had happened. Not only was there acceptance, there was unconditional love and protection on Liv's part.

"I must say I was very spectacle of Natalie, and I thought Mellie was right for you." Gerry watched as Daisy retrieved a ball before it went in the water and returned it to Fitz.

Fitz tossed it farther up the sand away from the water as Daisy ran for it. "It's Daisy's fault I even met Liv at all. I mean I am sure we would have met up eventually, but the timing was perfect, at a time when she needed me more than I needed her. Then we just bonded from there."

"Well, no doubt the fate Gods were acting in your favor. I am so happy for you, son, but most of all I am so proud of you. You made it through what many would never be able to." Gerry stopped. He looked out to the ocean and kicked a bit of sand. "You're going to be an amazing father, certainly better than me." He took a deep breath.

He put his hand out to Fitz, who went to shake it, but was pulled in for a hug. "Thank you, Fitz, for not hating me or giving up on me." He gave a pat to his back as he stopped and took the ball from Daisy.

So not to show Fitz he was crying, Gerry knelt to pet Daisy. "And thank you girl for taking care of my Fitz, you're a good girl, huh?" Gerry rubbed Daisy's gorgeous coat and tossed the ball away.

It was a bittersweet goodbye The month Fitz and Olivia had spent in Santa Barbara was wonderful. Witnessing Fitz's life before his captivity is something Liv couldn't begin to explain. She had met teachers and childhood friends that brought out so much more she needed to know about the man she would marry.

On the plane ride home, Chloe was talking about all the things she couldn't wait to show off to her sisters. Midway though a sentence, it grew quiet and Chloe had literally talked herself to sleep. Fitz and Liv were on the long seat on the plane and their hands were interlocked as his head rested on hers.

"Did you like Santa Barbara?"

"Loved it Mister. We have to get the whole Rutland crew out here soon. "

Fitz rubbed Liv's stomach. "So many things happening in the next few months." He took a deep breath.

"Yeah," Liv agreed. "I texted Huck. He'll be back in Rutland for the rest of the summer next week. I texted mom, she's coming in on Saturday. Before that though, on Friday, in just two days, Fitz…" Liv stopped.

"We find out if we will have a son or a daughter." Fitz said a bit shaky.

"Everything will work out, Fitz. We are heading home, June 2nd at the ballpark, you're honoring the vets. It's all so exciting."

"I love your optimism." Fitz said as he pulled her closer.

"And I love you." She felt his arm tighten around her and she fell into a sleep as the plane cruised, landing down in Vermont before she would wake up.

Max was waiting to drive to the McClellan's to a house full of open arms. Everyone was there to greet the couple and Sophie had made enough food to feed the town. The girls were swimming in the pool and in no time, Chloe was in there with them as the adults talked on the deck.

With everyone present, Abby and Leo, Sophie, Monica and Sam, the ones that didn't know, Fitz stood up. All eyes on him, he took a deep breath. "When I first came here, it was a rest stop. I was looking for a meal and a place to sleep. Now, I call it my home." He looked down and continued.

"Five years after I turned onto the Rutland exit, I met the love of my life and my soulmate. No one knew my full story, well, Sophie did, but no one knew the extent of it and when it came time for it to be told, I was afraid Liv would run." He looked at her as she smiled at him.

"For what I've put her through, for as accepting as you all have been, I wanted to tell you, along with Monica and Sammy, we will be parents in a few short months."

Sophie shrieked, and her hands quickly covered her mouth as she began to cry. She reached across the table and took Liv's hand. "Oh, I am so happy."

"On Friday we'll find out the gender of the baby, but we don't want a bit to do about it. Once we find out, we'll keep it to ourselves for a bit and then we'll get Abby to plan a little something." Fitz looked over at her.

"You got it, big brother." Abby gave a wink.

"Now, if you'll excuse the love of my life and myself, we are still on California time, we are exhausted and we have two days to do nothing before our hectic schedule begins again."

Liv couldn't complain at all about the two days they had at their home in Rutland. Fitz started early the first day, mowing the lawn, no shirt on. Liv went out to the backyard and just sat poolside watching her man in action. She was in her bikini top and bottom, he was shirtless. He was sweating from the work he put in and smelled of grass, but that didn't matter when he joined Liv by the water.

He dove in head first off the small diving board and swam under water. Not knowing at the time he was by her, he took Liv's feet and pulled her in. She went right under and came up, splashing him with laughter. "Mister, you are so going to pay for that." He held her up now, his hands around her buttocks, and she looked down at him. Their eyes dancing, and it was just a moment of quiet when her lips found his.

They stayed in the pool, holding one another, kissing, and splashing. Just two lovers enjoying some alone time together in their soon to be forever home. Fitz, as usual made Sophie's leftovers seem like a gourmet meal as he used the kitchen to heat up the food. After a night of love making, their second day was just cleaning up the house and watching movies on the couch.

Fitz never let Olivia do much. He wanted her relaxing and spoiled, that was it. He was anticipating the ultrasound and the arrival of Maya. Until then he was going to make sure Liv was comfortable and carefree.

"I'll go tomorrow to stock up for the house." Liv said, waiting for the argument.

"I can go in the afternoon."

"Fitz, you can't keep me captive here, sooner or later I have to leave the house."

He took a deep sigh of defeat. "Fine, but no heavy lifting."

"I'm going to get groceries not the actual fridge itself." She bumped her forehead into his as they kissed.

"Well, let's not make you too tired, let me carry you to the bedroom"

She shook her head as he lifted her and they finished out the night with Daisy at their feet and them center in the big king sized bed. Liv was always able to sleep so peacefully in his arms.

When she woke up, Fitz was finally in a deep sleep, not awake before her, and she wasn't in any position to wake him. Despite what he didn't tell her, she knew how nervous he was about the ultrasound and about the pregnancy. She was able to get out of bed and maneuver her way out without waking him.

She quickly got dressed and grabbed her laptop. Once downstairs she facetimed her mother, and a decent time in Paris, it was noon there.

"Look at you glowing my grandbaby's mother to be." Maya said.

"I'm not glowing, you didn't even let the screen turn on, Liv rolled her eyes."

"If I say you're glowing, you're glowing. How was California? Are you stuck up now, totally cool, surf's up and all that." Maya's voice was echoing in her now empty apartment.

"You're so extra, mom," Liv laughed. "It was great, a chance to see Fitz's life before he went overseas. Met a few people from his past, he went flying again which was a major milestone for him."

"Sounds wonderful. And your ultrasound?"

"Tomorrow." Liv took a breath and held it in. "Gender reveal."

"MMM," Maya responded. "I don't need a machine to tell me you're having a boy."

Her eyebrows went down in confusion. "Mom, you just can't be so certain about something like that."

"Watch, Mama knows best. I'm leaving tomorrow night, on an overnight flight and I will see you on Saturday. I cannot wait to hug you and give that belly grandbaby, grand SON of mine a huge kiss."

"I'm heading out now to restock the fridge and get some things for the house. We haven't been civilized in two days." Liv laughed.

"With that fine looking man, I can't blame you." Maya laughed. "Love you baby girl."

Liv grabbed her car keys and took a deep breath. She could remember a time she wouldn't even look at a car, now she was ready to conquer Rutland, one store at a time. She looked at their picture of them Fitz had taken time to hang up.

Gerry and Lucia had taken a couple picture of them in front of the castle at Disneyland and Liv had to laugh looking at Fitz with his Mickey ears on. "Of course, that's the one you choose to hang up." Things were finally calming down for them and she couldn't wait to be his wife and the mother to their child.

First stop, Sophie's. That's the perfect place to stock up on all the essentials and best to get there when they opened. So, at 7 am, Liv headed out the door, leaving Fitz sleeping with Daisy close by.

Joshua Mackenzie couldn't take the strain of his marriage anymore. He tried with Becca, tried for three hard years, but he wasn't husband material. After a loud never ending fight last night, Joshua took his pickup and left the town of Castleton.

On the outskirts of Interstate 4, he found a deserted bar, and he began his drinking at midnight until the bar closed at 3 am. Lying to the bartender that an uber had been called, he staggered out of the bar while the bartender was busy and took off in his pick up.

Joshua pulled over to the side of the road, a small rest area and he decided to sleep a bit. He wasn't a bad man and he just couldn't compete anymore with Becca's ex-boyfriend. He tried, but Becca had run back to him, having been involved in a month long affair before Joshua found out the truth.

This was the reason he took off last night. He couldn't take the hurt inside his heart. He dreamed of Becca as he nodded on and off in the truck, still too drunk even when the morning sun appeared. He woke up, took an old bottle of water from his back seat.

He swished it around his mouth and headed what he thought was north, back to confront his soon to be ex wife. Instead, he headed south, and was on his way through the town of Rutland.

With no customers, Sophie walked around the store with Liv while Liv shopped. After about an hour, Liv was heading to the car as Sophie called on young Greg to help Liv with the groceries.

Seconds after Greg walked back into the store after helping Liv, Sophie heard the blaring of sirens, and loud screech, horn honking, glass shattering, and an earth shattering smash. Looking out the store window, Sophie saw Liv's car upside down and a black pickup truck smashed to smithereens against the brick empty building across the street.

The buzzing in Fitz's dream did him no justice. He was finally dreaming nice dreams. Livvie and him were shopping and although he would never tell Liv, they were picking out boy outfits. Tiny little newborn outfits, one had a shirt that said, "Vermont Lake Monsters."

"Don't even think about it Mister. If it's not Yankees, it's not Lake Monsters." Liv put the shirt back, "so we have to be neutral." Liv picked a shirt out with a pilot on the front flying a tiny plane, and how could Fitz disagree.

Then the buzzing the non stop buzzing. Fitz opened his eyes, surprised to see Liv gone and Sophie's number on display. Fitz rubbed his eyes and laughed. He answered the phone. "Don't tell me, Liv is at your store and has no idea what flavor ice cream to get this early in the morning." She had been craving ice cream.

"Fitz there's been a car accident, you'll want to come quick."
