A fool's campaign, an opportunist's crusade, an adventurer's grave. As the last holdout against an incomprehensible evil, the Glytan estate does not inspire hope. But, the men and women who trudge its streets need not hope, but purpose: driving the corruption back from these once-lush lands, now soaked with all the spoils of war, both terrible and glorious.

An estranged sibling's disappearance inspires a once prominent knight to search for his missing family. A small hamlet serves as his only clue and last hope. Within, hideous abominations, twisted mazes of bone and rubble, and the knight's own sanity claw at the depths of his mind, ready to break. Only time will tell if his fragile form can endure... in the Darkest Dungeon.

After battling the evil forces of the ruins, Junia confesses her love for the Crusader, but can romance truly blossom in the nightmarish realm of the darkest dungeon and can the two lovers keep their forbidden relationship a secret?

Dismas and Alhazred are sent to kill another testament of the Ancestor's crimes. The Ancestor's sins seem to have no end to them. One head gets cut off only for another to replace it. Answers to the eldritch truth only go so far.

El Abuelo is the most notorious of crime bosses, and it falls to Special Agent Reynauld Maurouard to take him down. His only lead: Dismas, an ex-bandit whose outfit was in the mobster's hire. Things go downhill from there. [A modern day SWAT AU]

When he wakes up in a clean bed in the sanatorium, he finds a pair of flintlocks and a rosary lying on the night stand next to him. Not that he has the slightest idea where he is, or how he got here in first place. As he tries to gather himself, a group of people wearing unfamiliar faces enter the room. They tell him this place is called the Hamlet, and that his own name is Dismas.

The new Lord of his family's venerable estate must restore the honor of his line and destroy the horrifying abominations set loose by the mad folly of his ancestor. Gathering together a group of unlikely heroes and mercenaries they must delve deep into the dark abyss and battle creatures out of nightmare. But the darkest dungeon of all is not one made of stone or iron bars...

The Houndmaster looks for a missing man. The Leper looks for a woman. The Plague Doctor has come down with an unnameable illness. The Jester will do anything for her. These desires and the full Moon pull the heroes towards the cove.

She is the proud Heiress to a disgraced family name and some ratspit hamlet in the last forgotten corner of the world. They are the fools who pick up a burden that is not theirs to bear, for the promise of gold and a chance at redemption. (And Dismas thought the worst that could happen was for the local tavern to be out of quality booze. )

Otherworldly corruptions taint this place. Monsters, horrors, and blood soaked superstitions. In this land of darkness and death, perhaps carnal attraction and social biases can give way to something more. Perhaps redemption?

My experience in Darkest Dungeon, as told by the writing of the various men and women of the campaign.

Travelers reflect together on what would possibly drive someone to be desperate enough that they willingly crawl through the most horrid places imaginable.

"The Hamlet gathered the desperate, the humble and the devoted. . Wanderers from all sides, carried by an ill wind, bringing bad news, or a spark of e indigent and the faithful came in numbers, banding together to brave the perils of the journey. The fools who tried to reach the Estate of Malemort on their own were never seen again. Until now, apparently."

Very short story about the middle part of an expedition. I wrote this in a flurry of inspiration a few years ago and never did anything with it. Errors and poor writing abound, but I'm happy with it. It stands on its own and is considered complete.
