Chapter 14
authors note : I think this has less to do with Peyton having feelings for Lucas and more to do with Peyton wanting to get under Brooke's skin. Peyton has happiness and stability in her life. She knows that Lucas given his history wants bio children. She knows that this whole infertility issue is a raw nerve for Brooke and she is aware her pregnancy is hard for Brooke to take.
"I want a child with you and i don't care what it takes for that to happen." Brooke announced.
"We need to put a pause on this. This fertility medication is causing you all these emotional side affects. The injections cause soreness amongst other things."
"This process is supposed to bring us closer and it's pulling us apart." Lucas proclaimed.
"You don't understand. I smile and bare it. I avoid it."
"She was able to get pregnant just like that. You could of had a couple kids by now if you would of just went back to her." Brooke proclaimed.
"You were so in love with her. The only reason you didn't get back together was because of me."
"Just admit you regret it. She was you're true love and i got in the way." Brooke said. The emotion in her voice thick. Unable to look him in the eyes anymore.
"That's not true. I'm happy for her and Julian. But i have my home and life with you. That's enough for me. I promise you that." Lucas proclaimed.
"Until it's not anymore. You'll let go. And it'll be on me. For not leaving you alone from the start." Brooke said. As she got out of bed and headed for the shower.
The expression on Lucas's face softened. He needed to relax on needing a baby now. It had become a fixation and that was affecting every aspect of their relationship.

Weeks Later
At 17 weeks in. Peyton couldn't go anywhere without people reaching for her belly. And asking about her pregnancy. She was on a high she had never experienced.
She had her husband who was catering to her every need. Her work was thriving and their daughter was growing and thriving so far.

"We're going camping!" Ethan announced.
Brooke smiled at him warmly.
"Just me and dad. He used to do that with his dad grandpa Keith." Ethan explained.
