I waited on the front porch as Lucas's car pulled in then parked in the driveway. A smile coming to my face as he came out of the car and rushed over to me.
He picked me up and kissed me hard. Simply announcing that he missed me.
"I missed you more." I said. My hand finding it's way to my stomach.
As i was greeted with the biggest hug from Ethan.
I hugged him tightly. "Tell me all about my favorite boy." I said.
And i listened closely as Lucas wrapped his arm around me.
While we made out way back inside our home.

Our first meal back together as a family. Was pizza ordered in. Sides and dessert. I just listened to Lucas and Ethan recap their weekend together and to my surprise i agreed to come along next time.
Brooke Davis in the wilderness without make up or wifi. And sleeping in a tent. Stranger things have happened. I'm in. There has to be a reason Luke is so drawn to it all.
Afterwards we ended up in the living room watching Disney Plus. Until Ethan fell asleep.
Our lives had become polar opposites then we had ever known.
There was something comforting and safe about it.
Once Lucas had brought Ethan into his room and tucked him in.
He rejoined me downstairs.
"You look tired. I can handle clean up." Lucas announced.
"I look bad.?" Brooke asked.
"Never. Just like you haven't been sleeping." Lucas replied.
"Well i haven't really and waking up at various times of the morning. Before and during work."
"Morning sickness. Is every day sickness. For me at least." Brooke said.
Lucas gazed up at her. "Morning sickness. You're pregnant.?" He asked.
"I am with our twins." Brooke announced.
"Oh my god. Brooke. This is everything we've wanted. Hoped and dreamed for."
"I love you so much." Lucas said. The emotion in his voice thick.
"I love you too." Brooke said.
Lucas wrapped his arms around her.
She kissed him hard.
"Let's go to bed. Without our clothes." Brooke whispered.
Lucas took her hand in his. And lead the way to their room.
Brooke locked the door. As Lucas picked her up.
She wrapped her legs around him. As she kissed his neck.
Brooke tossed his shirt off. Running her hands on his bare chest.
"You are so beautiful. I couldn't be more in love with you."
"And i want to show you exactly how i feel." Lucas said.
Felt him lift her blouse and slowly pull down her skirt.
Her heavy breaths. Turned to moans and groans.
Once he removed her bra. And covered her chest with kisses.
From her neck down her stomach.
He was taking it slow and she wanted the same.
When Lucas reached to turn off the lights. Brooke stopped him.
"I want to see everything. Kiss. Touch. All of it." Brooke announced.
Lucas nodded his head in agreement.
He hadn't expected her to take control. But minutes later.
She had on his back. With no layers seperating them.
"Brooke!" Lucas called out. Burying his face in her chest.
He ran his hands through her sweat soaked hair.
He slowly laid her back down.
Brooke was clawing into him. He knew her body in ways no other man could ever compare.
"Lucas!" Brooke called out softly. As she felt pleasure consume her.
Lucas soon followed. Laying beside her.
Brooke cuddled next to him. She felt so at peace and in love.
She wanted this moment to last.

In the morning. Brooke awoke to the aromas of breakfast food. So sure it was a dream.
She awoke slowly. Smiling happily.
"Good morning Mrs. Scott." Lucas said.
"Good morning Mr. Scott." Brooke replied.
"Yum. Pancakes. Eggs with ham and cheese. Sausage patties."
"I'm hungry. And i think these babies may have my love of anything delicious." Brooke said. As she started eating.
"Well it's good i plan to cater to you're cravings and body aches."
"We're in this together." Lucas stated matter of fact.
Brooke sighed deeply. "I want to talk. I need to tell you some things about the pregnancy. Are you free for lunch.?" She questioned.
"For you i am. Do you want to meet at my office or somewhere else.?" Lucas asked.
"The River's edge. We need a quiet place to discuss this." Brooke replied.
Lucas didn't like the sound of this but he agreed. Knowing this was a moment to step up and he would.
Awhile Later
"Two BLT's with two orders of fries. Iced tea and some black and white cookies." Lucas proclaimed.
Brooke smiled up at him. "Sounds great. But i need to get this out now before i lose my nerve."
"The doctor said i have a delicate womb. Which basically means. There is a level of risk with this pregnancy. As the pregnancy progresses. Something could go wrong with me or the babies."
"She wants me to have no stress and eventually i'll need bed rest."
"Something could go wrong." Lucas said.
"I pushed for this. I was so hell bent on having biological children."
"Well that's it then. Work will be on hold until the pregnancy has ended. I can write anywhere. That's the last thing on my mind." Lucas stated matter of fact.
"I wanted this too so much. These babies. Half me and you."
"All i can focus on is bringing them into the world."
"Ethan is going to love them and be so protective."
"There is no one to blame. This is just life Luke."
"I want to live in the here and now." Brooke proclaimed.
Weeks Later
Brooke's eyes filled with tears as she saw their babies on the the ultrasound screen.
Lucas's heart filled with love and protection
The morning sickness. Ligament pain. The weight gain and exhaustion. Was far from easy and with an active curious 5 year old it drained her energy.
But seeing her 10 weeks old babies on the ultrasound screen.
She knew it was already worth it.

The couple got multiple copies from their appointment.
"Am i showing yet.?" Brooke asked. When they got back into the car they drove over in.
"Yes. And i love watching you're body transform." Lucas replied.
"I'm already starting to not fit into my clothes." Brooke said. With a smile.
...
"Look at you." Lucas said. Leaning over to kiss her her 12 week baby bump.
Brooke smiled. "Glowing and growing." She replied.
He leaned over to kiss her. She turned away.
"You brushed you're teeth. And put on cologne." Brooke said.
Lucas knew at this point given him looking into pregnancy. That she was sensitive to smells.
More bathroom trips then before and not interested in touching.
All apart of the process. They were just in the starting stages.
"Do you want me make breakfast or pick up for all of us.?" Lucas asked.
"Pick up. Anything sweet or savory from Karen's. A large ginger tea."
"I'll be in the bathroom. Again. Can you get Ethan up and ready for school.?" Brooke asked.
"I've got it." Lucas said.
"I'm moody and can't make up my mind." Brooke said.
"You're going to giving birth to two Scott babies. I can handle a few months." Lucas reassured her.
"We should tell Ethan about the babies now. It's going to become more obvious and i've been all the place." Brooke announced.
As she got out of bed and raced towards the bathroom.
...
"Is momma sick.?" Ethan asked. As he followed his dad's lead into the cafe.
"No not exactly. Momma and I will explain it to you after you get home from school." Lucas explained.
"Brooke isn't feeling well. I'll send her a get well card from me and Julian.?" Peyton said.
"You're the mean lady." Ethan said.
"E. Why don't you go and pick out some delicious treats we can home to momma." Lucas instructed.
"How Brooke is feeling and what goes on with my family. Is no longer you're business or concern going forward."
"Brooke doesn't want or need you in her life. And i let our past blind me to the person you become. I've come to the conclusion."
"Life is better when we aren't living it together in any way." Lucas proclaimed.
