Mean girls don't grow up

They just get older.

When you spend years trying to be invisible eventually you become that way. And people forget you're even there. But Peyton knew i was there. She wanted to hurt me with her words and she did. And the worst part is. I don't think she cared at all. Ethan thought to himself.

"My Scott men are home. After breakfast you're dad and I want to talk to you." Brooke announced.

"I'll take this into the kitchen. What do you think E. Milk or juice.?" Lucas asked.

"Whatever. I'm going to eat breakfast in my room. Taking two desserts from the box then placing them on his plate." Ethan announced.

Brooke looked to Lucas.

"Alright honey. Just don't leave crumbs. Afterwards come downstairs. We'll be waiting in the kitchen." Brooke replied.

And with that Ethan went upstairs.

"We can just eat in the living room. Less walking plus i'm sure you're hungry." Lucas said.

"What's going on with him.?" Brooke asked.

"I don't know. I went to answer a call outside and when i came back and picked up our order. He was just different." Lucas replied.

"Now i'm worried. And concerned." Brooke admitted.

"I am too. But the doctor said you need to stay calm. We ran into Peyton. I made it clear to her that i no longer want or need her in my life and of course she didn't react well to that but it's the truth."

"I can't care about her anymore it costed me enough last time plus i don't know who she's become." Lucas explained.

Lucas sat down beside her and opened the dessert box.

Brooke picked out a muffin and Lucas put a donut on her plate.

Brooke took a bite then soon finshed one.

Lucas ate and watched as Brooke's gaze lingered on the stairs.

"You can have more if you want." Lucas said.

"Honey come sit with us." Brooke called out. Once Ethan reappeared.

"We have exciting news to share. Hopefully this will be something you get excited about and look forward too."

"I'm having twins. You're going to be a big brother."

"Daddy and I are so happy and have wanted this for a long time now." Brooke announced.

"Can i get my book bag and lunch box from my room.?" Ethan asked.

"Sure. I have you're lunch ready to go." Lucas replied.

I want to say i feel bad but i don't not really. Or at all.

Lucas all of a sudden wants nothing to do with me and i'm supposed to just be okay with that.?

No. He hurt me. He choose her. Why should i care about hurt feelings or broken hearts.

"Why did you say all that stuff to that boy.?" Julian asked. As he entered the nursery.
