Normally, Dee and Ryo only arrived on the scene after a crime had been committed, when a body was discovered, or someone reported a break-in. This time was a little different; a robbery had been attempted, but the would-be thief hadn't gotten very far and had been forced to call the police to rescue him. Dee found the whole situation very satisfying.

He grinned up at the skinny youth. "See, this is what happens when ya decide to begin your life of crime by breakin' into a place with security. Ya might want to re-think your life choices; somethin' tells me you're not cut out for this line of work."

Ryo had to bite his lip to keep from laughing.

The thief was in a precarious position. One foot tangled in the barbed wire that ran along the top of the chain-link fence, he was dangling upside down inside the compound, three huge Rottweiler guard dogs sitting on their haunches beneath him, waiting patiently for him to fall.

"Just get me outta here!" he wailed. "Please! I swear I've learned my lesson! I'll never break the law again!"

Ryo turned away. "I'd better find someone to call off the dogs."
