All the strings inside him broke.
Brooke eventually made it back home. She wanted to look for Lucas herself. But the advice she was given was to go home and that there were officers looking for Lucas.
Given the state he was in along with the efforts she already made to bring him home. Brooke had nothing more to do. It was out of her control. Lucas was a risk to himself now and once he was located by police he would be given the offer to go get help willingly. If he refused. Then she didn't know what that would mean but it wouldn't be good.
He couldn't remain in this just out in the world.
Brooke took a deep breath. Staring at herself in the mirror above the steering wheel.
(Okay. They are going to find him and he's going to get help. So all you have to do is wait for that call.) Brooke told herself.
As she left her car and went inside.
(Where 's daddy? He told me we were going to make French toast. With bacon and sausage.) Brenda asked.
(Daddy and me have a fort to finish. He said it was too late. To do it yesterday.) Brendan said.
(Why was dad recorded and put on the internet.?) Ethan asked. When he came downstairs with his cellphone.
(I could stay with them if you need me too ?) Karen asked.
Brooke nodded her head from side to side.
She hugged Karen tightly. (You go enjoy the rest of you're day.) Brooke replied.
(It's bad Karen.) Brooke whispered. The emotion in her voice thick.
Karen hugged her back. (He's going to be okay.) She replied.
Karen sighed deeply. Holding on to hope she had.
