Stay
Chapter 48
Authors Note : I have alot more I want to cover in this story. We've only just started with growing up with these kids.
I spent 3 weeks in mental mental health treatment center.
I probably should of done that a long time ago. But I didn't want to admit how bad and dark everything had gotten so I focused on what mattered more to me instead.
Eventually everything I wasn't dealing with came out. And I look back on it may and realize I would of regretted making that final choice.
Brooke was there when I went in she told me to take care of myself.
She would handle life and the kids. She told them I set away for business.
When I got back they didn't question it to my relief.
They were just happy i was back in town. And were glued to my side which I expected.
But I knew eventually they would have to go back to their lives.
In the meantime I planned to enjoy my kids. My boys we went back into our regular bonding activities.
It's in therapy before what happened recently. Did I come to grips with the reasons why I created this space between me and Brenda.
Which thankfully was no longer a reality.
She had memory of me keeping her away.
I loved my mini B. I did tea parties. Dress up. It she wanted to dance I would.
That little girl had my heart and she knew it.
..
(I should get back to my house. I can't stay away for any longer.) Lucas announced.
(Luke there is no reason to rush out of here. You've only officially been home a week.) Brooke replied.
(You let me stay in the guest room. I haven't done anything to do with work since I got out.)
(I'm back in therapy. I'm taking the needed steps to rebuild my life.)
(I'm okay. I don't need you to worry about me.)
(I'm not you're responsibility or burden.) Lucas said.
(You're not a burden. We're family. We're parents to the most incredible kids.)
(We're so much more than exes. That's so boring.)Brooke proclaimed.
(And life with you is anything but. Brooke Davis. Saves people.)
(And loves them with everything she has. Meeting you was the best thing that's ever happened to me.) Lucas stated matter of fact.
Brooke swallowed hard. The expression on her face softened.
(Just stay another week. There's nothing waiting for you at that house.) Brooke insisted.
(You're so eager and bossy. If you want me to stay just ask.) Lucas replied.
(It's not that simple. We've gone through so much. I wouldn't of made it without you.)
(I wouldn't of wanted to live and experience life with anyone else.) Brooke replied.
