A collection of FAKE drabbles to go with my Torchwood drabble collection. They'll probably be mainly Dee/Ryo and I've rated the collection T to cover anything I might write. If you've read any of my Torchwood drabbles, you'll know I live for variety and anything goes, though my writing is primarily on the fluffy side.

1002. Weeds

Title: Weeds

Setting: After the manga.

Summary: The flowerbed was looking great, but now there are weeds growing all over it.

Written Using: The dw100 prompt 'Fourth Doctor Titles', using The Seeds of Doom.

"What they hell are they and where're they comin' from?" Dee could scarcely believe what he was seeing. Seemingly overnight, the flowerbed he and Ryo had carefully dug over and weeded was suddenly a mass of tiny green plants.

Ryo smiled wryly. "They're weeds most likely."

"But we pulled all the weeds out!"

"We didn't get the seeds out though. They can survive in the soil for months, even years, until they're close enough to the surface and conditions are right for them to germinate."

"That's SO not fair. They're so tiny it's gonna take forever to pull them all out. Maybe we should wait until they get a bit bigger."

"The longer we wait the more there'll be, seeds don't all germinate at the same rate, but don't worry, you won't have to pull them by hand; getting rid of weeds is what hoes are for." Ryo handed his lover one of the implements. "Just be careful around the plants we put in."

"Won't the weeds just grow back again if they're left lyin' on the ground?

"Probably, or more will come up, but regular hoeing between the plants will keep them down."

"Weeds, prepare to meet your doom!"
