Seeking Friends

Preparing herself as she looked through the binoculars at the base, the rain made it difficult, but it was still possible to see enough to tell what she was looking that. She immediately spotted an obstacle, the bluff she was on led down to the flat section of ground that reached the fence of the camp, but outside the camp, at the other end, was a watch tower, with a marine present there using a search light.

'Great, I'll need to take this guy down if I'm gonna get into the camp. What else is there?' She wondered.

She continued to look around, noting a few guards around who were following their patrol routes, she knew she couldn't see everything here, but she was getting a good view, especially of three things which worried her.

'AA Guns, that's gonna make Terry's job much harder unless I do something about them.'

Finally satisfied with her observations, Abby drew the gun strapped to her side and checked it was in good condition and ready.

"Tranquillizer gun?" Abby mused over the Codec.

"Well, these guys are technically our allies, US marines after all." Joel confirmed.

Abby grunted. "Could've done with this in Outer Heaven."

Joel sighed. "We discussed that Abby, those guys were terrorists, these guys…"

"Both are people, Joel. Killing should always be a last resort, only when all other possibilities clearly won't work." Abby shot back.

Sighing again Joel replied. "We're not arguing this Abby, just...get on with the mission.

Abby scoffed and began to move closer to the watch tower, doing her utmost to stay out of the search light.

She reached the watchtower and moved around behind it, where the ladder was, she stepped back until she could see the marine clearly and took aim. She squeezed the trigger and the dart hit the guard who grunted and staggered, trying to turn but then slumped down and was out cold. Now was her chance and she made her way over to the fence, she checked carefully and noted there were no guards nearby as their patrol routes were taking them elsewhere. She checked the fence and as expected, in a place like this that didn't see regular checks and maintenance, she saw part of the fence was broken, it was enough for her to push through and finally duck down behind a crate. She was having to be even more careful due to not having her sneaking suit. Her only chance was her dark clothing.

Abby looked at the nearby building and considered. 'Should be an equipment shed...might be useful, might help with those AA guns...I counted three but according to the schematics Joel was able to get, there should be four.'

She figured she'd find the last gun once she checked anything she needed. So, taking care to avoid any of the guards Abby slipped over to the equipment shed and slipped inside.

"Abby, what are you doing?" Joel demanded over Codec.

"I'm searching for a few useful things Joel, I'm not after lethal weapons don't worry." She said with a smirk. "Let's just say that Terry will have an easier time when I'm done...but it will make a lot of noise."

Joel grumbled and then seemed to make up his mind. "Alright, just don't do anything until you're going to extract, alright, we can't take any chances."

"I got it."

With that Abby found what she needed, C4 charges.

With the charges stashed as securely as she could, and her tranquillizer gun at the ready, Abby slipped out of the equipment shed and looked around, no sign of any guards nearby and so she began to move quietly again. She was not going for the outdoor prison she had seen yet, she was instead going to each of the AA guns. Each one she noted was guarded by two marines, once more taking advantage of her dark clothing and the heavy rain, she slipped up close and tranquillized one of the guards while using her CQC skills to subdue the other. Once each was out cold Abby moved them as far away as she could and then set up the C4 charges on the AA guns, keeping the detonator handy but not yet primed.

'Almost there, I'll worry about the last one when I get a chance...first, to the prison, find Yara.' Abby told herself.

She couldn't believe what she was seeing at this camp, there was no way anybody would accept the conditions here, it was small wonder if was treated as a black site.

"This is beyond being unacceptable Joel." She growled. "These monsters should be destroyed, this whole place wiped off the map...this sort of thing-"

"Is how we keep ahead of our enemies. It's a necessary evil-"

"No it's not." Abby growled. "After seeing this, all I can say you've got no business calling the Outer Heaven Soldiers terrorists, this is real terrorism right here, at least those guys treated their prisoners like humans."

Joel just grunted. "We're not here to discuss this Abby, get on with the mission and find Yara, she at least has a semi-confirmed location."

"Fine, fine...but I'm starting to question why the hell I should not use lethal force here. US Marines or not, their actions are a disgrace to that fine group."

"These guys are just on loan to the base and don't know what's really going on here." Joel said sharply. "The people who really run it are in charge of that sort of thing, the treatment of prisoners and such."

"Oh and just who would that be?"

"According you, a real terrorist." Joel snapped.

Abby growled at that and immediately shut off her codec, she was not going to let Joel get away with that comment, but first she'd deal with her mission.

Still disgusted however she took great pleasure in disabling any guards that so much has crossed her path, ignoring Joel's attempts to contact her. Nevertheless she stuck to mission parameters, avoiding detection. Finally, she used her CQC to choke out the Marine guarding the prison yard perimeter and knocked him out. She then began moving amongst the tiger cages where prisoners were held, anger boiling in her stomach at the way these prisoners were being treated. It was then she finally found the cafe she was looking for as she saw a certain person sitting in the cage, forlorn.

"Yara." She breathed as she knelt down.

Yara looked up, eyes wide, she couldn't believe it.

"Abby?"
