Aggressive Love - V1.2.
Summary:A remastered version of Aggressive Love by Dio Black: Both Dumbledore and Voldemort underestimated just how powerful Lily's sacrifice for Harry really was. There was nothing Lily wouldn't do to ensure her son had a life full of the love and happiness he deserves, so that his every desire was taken care of. With her sacrifice, she make sure of it. "The power of love is a great thing. Terrifying. But great."
In this version of the story, the ritual will have more life to itself, and whilst weak at the start of the story, will have limited power to do what it is designed for. Now whilst not as powerful as it should be, one at Hogwarts and gaining power, it'll use its limit power to change Harry's life for the better. But at the same time, it would be gaining power to fully free itself from Dumbledore binds.
Disclaimer: I do not in any shape or form own Harry Potter, be it characters, spells, items, or anything else that's connected to the Harry Potter books/movies; they all belong to J. K. Rowling & the Warner Bros Pictures. I don't even earn any money from this. The only characters that I do own are the ones that you haven't read about in the books.
And the first few chapters belong to Dio Black, who wrote the original story, but I have added or/and altered things to it so it's not fully the same. For this first part, I've added things rather than altering it, as this was a good start to the story, so there wasn't much I had to do. Now before any of you calls me a thief, I did PM Dio Black to see if I could use his story and he said that as long as I do this, he is alright with it. And he is looking forward to seeing what I do to it.
Author's Note: This was something I wanted to do since I read this story, as I felt that things were missing that I could add to make it better. So I looked through his reviews to see what the readers wanted, and I'm planning to try and add some of them in this story. The Blood Protection won't have Harry with every girl he meets, but those who can be useful in one form or another. Sure it'll control them in some form, like keep them away, and such, but not bed them all. Hope you like it.
One last thing before we begin: IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE STORY DON'T REVIEW AND DON'T CONTINUE TO READ. Sorry but I have gotten a few reviews in the past that would send flame reviews even though they knew what the story is about, even after a few reviews they keep doing so. So please, if you don't like the story after one of the chapters, just don't review and stop reading.
Warning: Harry!Dark!Powerful!Harem Harry/Multi, Genderbent!Voldemort, smut and so on. If you read my other works, you know what to expect. NOT FOR CHILDREN!
Prologue!
Godric's Hollow, October 31st 1981:
"Lily, it's him! Take Harry and run!" a young man named James Potter shouted up the stairs to his wife with a desperate hope that she could find a way out.
He knew she was smart like that. Common sense and a familiarity with the tactics used in this war they so foolishly got swept up in guarantee there would be anti-apparition and anti-portkey wards already in place cutting off that avenue of escape. But the messy haired man had faith in his wife, the smartest witch he knew, that she could find a way to save herself and their son, Harry.
Tragically, as the front door of the hut that they were hiding in blust open and a man in a black robe entered, James would never know as he fought for his family life, that only one of the two would live on past the night. Or as the man died, that it was his wife's plan from the moment she knew that the most dangerous Dark Lord was after their family, would ensure that her son would have a future.
The most important thing in her life.
"Such a good husband." The woman of blood red hair murmured in appreciation of her husband's sacrifice, as she went up to her son. James's sacrifice gave her a few more precious moments with her beloved son to finish her preparations for the ritual that meant to protect her son.
Putting the finishing touches on her original creation, a ritual of her own design, Blood Protection. This was Blood Magic, an old and ancient kind of magic, something she found in the Potter's Library. Now Blood Magic was something that was rarely used nowadays because of the cost of using it, blood and lifeforce. But for her son, Lily would be willing to make any sacrifice to protect him, even if that sacrifice was her life.
This is where the Blood Protection came in, she created the protection so that it would protect Harry from anything or anyone that wanted to harm her son.
She knew that for Blood Protection to work, Harry would need to be near her blood. This led to a small problem, the only other person who shared her blood was her sister and that was one person she didn't want her son to be near to, seeing how her sister and her husband hated anything un-normal as her sister put it.
So to deal with this she set up a plan with Sirius, Harry's godfather, where he would do a ritual where Sirius would become her blood-brother by magic and so would allow the Blood Protection to work fully. As it needed love and care for it to work as she planned. It wasn't necessary for her to make Sirius a blood-brother, as the Blood Protection could do the work well enough on its own but it would take longer and sometimes not as powerful.
But if the Blood Protection was around someone who was connected to Harry by blood, someone who loved and cared for him, it would become even more powerful and able to do more. This is why she wanted Sirius as her blood-brother, so that the Blood Protection becomes stronger. Something that wouldn't happen if her son went to her sister, as Petunia hated her for having magic and the Magical World for not being normal. If Harry went to her, not only would the Blood Protection have a hard time, but Lily feared what might happen to her son.
There was another reason that she wanted Sirius to become her blood-brother, she wanted someone who would tell her son no and teach him from right and wrong. If a female was around, she would do whatever Harry wanted to make him happy. Sure Sirius thought that Harry having a harem was a good thing and would teach him things to help with the ladies and playing pranks on people, but he can be serious, pun not intended, when he wanted to be. So she knew that when needed, Sirius would teach her son right from wrong and tell him no if things get out of hand. But at the same time, be a loving, caring and fun father figure.
The problem was that she couldn't do the ritual whilst they were in hiding, as no one could come to them in fear that Voldemort had their friends followed. So she left notes and some of her blood for Sirius to do the ritual himself.
She just hoped that everything would go as she hoped with the spell, as she only had nine months to work on this one spell ritual. Creating a new protection ritual wasn't an easy thing to do, normally it would take years of research and testing before it was ready to be used properly. Making sure everything worked together as it should. But she only had nine months to make it work, and whilst she was the smartest witch of her age, she knew that she could make mistakes like everyone else and feared she might have made some whilst creating this new ritual and what the side-effects there could be. But she didn't have the time to worry about this, a Dark Lord was coming to get them.
Because of this, Lily made one last quick check on the ritual circle around Harry's cot, making sure that the markings seemed to be right. For this ritual, apart from her own blood, she used three powerful bloods that she could get her hands on at the time, griffin, dragon and a veela.
All these were what she wanted in the Blood Protection, protective and willing to do whatever it took to protect her son. The ability to entrance those around Harry to make sure he was safe and happy, and the power to do all this. It was the best thing she could come up with to protect her son. Seeing how she couldn't test it, she wasn't sure if it'll work as she hoped it would or not. All she knew, hoped, was that it would protect her son from Voldemort.
Either way, with little time left before the Dark Lord came to kill them, Lily paints a small rune on her son's forehead, Sowilo: which symbolizes the sun, life, fertility, power, success. This would be where the protection would be stored, where it would do its job to protect her son however possible. Placing the rune on her son was just the second to last step in the process.
The final step would be the sacrifice of her own life.
For this type of ritual to work, a sacrifice of the coster was needed instead of some of their blood, a sacrifice that Lily was more than willing to make. If it meant that it would keep son safe and guarantee that he would be well cared for by the people he meets in life Lily knew she would sacrifice anything to do so - even her own life.
This didn't stop her from cursing James for weeks for dragging them into this war, and berated herself in private for allowing him to talk her into it in the privacy of her own mind, after she learned of the life she was bringing into the world.
The life of her son for whom she'd do anything for.
Case and point, the hours upon hours of work, the sleepless nights spent researching, all for this. To protect her son, her Harry, from the man who so foolishly came after them.
'Well too bad.' Lily Potter thought.
His mistake and her sacrifice will ensure her son's future.
What she was doing had the same properties as a curse, by the technical definition. A persistent and lasting magical effect after its activation that will irrevocably change him.
Its first purpose is simple enough, it was the main reason that she created this ritual. To stop anyone with the intent to kill her Harry from being able to; no matter the method they try to use, it would fail. This is where the griffin came into her plans, seeing how it was protective by nature to protect their territory, be it place, person or object. Lily added the dragon as dragon's hated to lose or being tricked.
The second, and more complicated from an arithmancy standpoint, is to permanently change his physiology. This alteration would make a permanent change in his body that will constantly exude pheromones and a subtle frequency of his magical aura that would compel people to want to help him. To care for him. To forever want to do anything for him after being exposed to him only once. This is where the veela blood came in, as they had the ability to entrance their victims, making them do whatever they wanted.
But because of it tying into his natural biology, this blessing she's giving him will only affect those of the opposite gender. Sure many would consider this wrong, but to Lily though, she was alright with it. To her, her son deserves nothing but the best the world has to offer, no matter the cost or how it has to happen, and this would ensure he will have plenty of love. And the women would always be there for him, protect him and do whatever it took to make him happy. Especially since she wouldn't be able to do anything else for him after tonight. And if he gains a harem because of this, good for him.
Sure most mothers would be against this, but she was a bit of a pervert herself and the thought of a harem of women protecting her son was a good idea. As the saying goes, hell has no fury like a woman scorned, so a harem of angry protective women protecting her son was an ideal way to protect him.
The third part is the greatest accomplishment however. She couldn't leave this to chance. Couldn't risk that someone would undo all her hard work and take her gift away from her baby. So she gave this gift a semi-sentience. Allowing the magic the ability to decide how to make things better for Harry, and how to keep him safe and happy. Like if it sees Harry about to do something it thinks would not be beneficial to him, the magic would intervene and try to change the outcome if possible.
A true embodiment of her love that will stay with Harry forever to protect him. It will ensure his survival and allow him to thrive, to become the best at whatever he wanted to do. She didn't care what he became, she didn't care if he became the next Dark Lord as long her son was happy.
"Oh Harry, mommy loves you." She gushes while her hands cup her face and devotion shines in her deep emerald pools.
She didn't look away from him, wanting this moment where she can gaze upon her perfect son to last as long as possible. Sadly, it didn't last as long as she would have liked, when the door behind her blew open by the fool-who-was-doomed.
Turning around to face him, she had an eerie smile on her face that gave Voldemort pause for a moment. He was understandably confused, he had just killed her husband and is about to kill her child as well, so why was she smiling? Was she planning to do something? Foolish enough to interfere in what he had planned.
Hopefully he wouldn't have to kill her though, as he remembered that he promised a loyal servant that alerted him to this potential danger, that he would spare this woman if he could. As it's always good for morale to reward his followers for exemplary work. Positive reinforcement and all that.
Putting aside his unease with the red haired mudblood he said, "Step aside girl. I'm only here for the boy, you can live." His sibilant voice promises.
Voldemort wasn't sure if it was his imagination, but the temperature of the room seemed to plummet like a swarm of Dementors had just descended on them; as the woman's green eyes hardened and her smile froze.
With a certainty in her voice that honestly surprised him she spoke, "You can kill me. But you will not hurt my son."
"Get out of the way foolish girl!" Voldemort snarled at her.
She was beginning to wear out his patience. He had things to do after this little errand was over and she was taking up his valuable time by being obstinate.
"No. You can kill me, but you will not kill my son." She stated with a force of presence, and something else in the air, that Voldemort found more than a little unsettling.
"Very well then, if that's your choice. Avada Kedavra!" He summoned the dreaded Killing Curse to strike her down.
And down she fell, with a softer smile on her face now in death as in the last moment of life, she felt her ritual activate successfully. Little did she know though, but a tiny part of her soul was added to the ritual, which if unleft would not only power it, but give it more of sentience to it. As it would give it memories from Lily, which would help make it help Harry more, and give it the ability to pick and choose on how to act to benefit Harry. Meanwhile, the now orphaned boy was crying, not understanding what's going on, but on some level knowing he'd just lost a parent.
At the same time, the rune that resembles a lightning bolt, drawn on his forehead in his mother's blood sinks into the skin and becomes a permanent part of Harry forever.
Brushing off the unnerving encounter with the troublesome women, the Dark Lord stalks up to the crib containing the so-called 'child of prophecy.'
With only a passing glance at the mother of this little boy, Lord Voldemort couldn't help but feel slightly disappointed for his loyal subordinate. Lily Potter may have been of inferior breeding and standing, but she was quite the looker. He could see why Severus would settle for that, but he'd just have to get over it. He would have to find someone else for him, someone with a better standing for his loyal servant.
Casting his blood red eyes onto his nemesis, he can't help but scoff. This small child was supposed to be his downfall? Well perhaps if Voldemort was inclined to let him grow up there would be a chance, but that would be the height of foolishness. Better to end this now and put him out of both their misery.
Pointing his wand directly at the child, and thinking nothing of the blemish that would soon be his undoing, he cast the Killing Curse for the third and final time that night.
And the clashing of two magical certainties began and ended.
Avada Kedavra, the Killing Curse. Lily's Blood Protection from death. These two forces of nature battled for dominance in a striking similarity of the unstoppable force and immovable object.
But the Blood Protection had an advantage. It was made, by design, to adapt specifically to situations like this. Why bother trying to fight brute force with brute force, when it could simply turn the momentum around.
The green Killing Curse was powerful, yet simple. It was this fact that made all the difference when the dedicated protection of his mother's love for Harry redirected the curse that could not be blocked, and returned it to its source.
All of this took place in the span of a split second, allowing Voldemort no time to dodge, nor any time to comprehend what happened. All he knew was pain as his body was torn apart. The Dark Lord's Horcruxes anchoring his soul to this plane of existence did all they could to keep his soul in his body as they were designed to. But the Killing Curse cannot be stopped.
So, piece by piece, Voldemort's corporeal form broke apart as his own failsafe against death stopped him from being able to flee his body, effectively trapping him in the torment, until there was nothing left to hold him in place.
Such traumatic crises of his very being had disastrous consequences, as by the time he was finally free of his excruciating suffering, he could think of nothing but getting away from this place.
But in his pain he didn't realize he left some of his own torn, and tattered soul behind.
This piece of soul simply wasn't enough to do much of anything. It couldn't think for itself and could only move on an inborn instinct of survival and fear of death. It was known that this wasn't the first time the main body had split before though and all of Voldemort's soul knew what was supposed to happen after the separation. And there just happened to be a fresh, magical nexus of a sort. Because of this it attempted to save itself by merging with the most heavily magical thing it can feel. Attempted being the key word.
The embodiment of his mother's love did its job in protecting young Harry. But it was still newly formed. And magically exhausted.
Any other time it would have been able to fend off the piece of foreign soul. In its current state of exhaustion however, it could only contain it for now. But it would study it, and learn from it. The manifestation of love incarnate would make sure that this person who tried to end its host would be neutralized in the future. Having a shard of this person's soul to manipulate would ensure that they won't be a threat again.
It would only be a day before the protection was tested again. By a wizard who meant well, but tampered with something he didn't fully understand. This meddling would have far reaching consequences that would change the world far more than it should have.
And all because one old fool thought he knew best.

Privet Drive, November 1st 1981:
It had nearly been a full day since young Harry Potter lost his parent's and their killer tried and failed to kill him. During this time, he was looked after by a half giant for the former Headmaster of Lily and James Potter, Albus Dumbledore. The said Headmaster was at Privet Drive, where he had told his Deputy Headmistress that Harry would be living with his aunt and uncle.
"No, surely not Albus! You can't mean to leave him here? I've been watching the house all day and they are the worst sort of muggles." Minerva McGonagall implored the wise looking old man who had just, somewhat embarrassingly, caught her out in her Animagus form of a cat. "You couldn't find people more unlike our kind than them." She said with particular emphasis on that last word, as though she was speaking of something repulsive.
"Ah but that is precisely why he must remain here." Albus Dumbledore says. "He should be raised by family and away from all the fame that our world will no doubt hang on his shoulders for his part in ending the war." He finishes his case with a wide smile, and twinkling eyes.
"He's truly gone then? He-who-must-not-be-named is gone?" She gasps, getting her hopes up.
A forlorn look overcomes Dumbledore's face, "Alas, only defeated and weakened I'm afraid. I suspect he is powerless and has fled for now, but I fear that he'll return one day. Thankfully somehow young Harry's mother's sacrifice managed to allow him to survive the killing curse with only a scar to show for it."
The silence that fell over them as they take in the crisp, cold November night is interrupted by the sound of an approaching motorcycle.
Rubeus Hagrid, the half giant who might as well be a full giant when standing next to any person of average height, pulls to a slow lazy stop before cutting the engine. He steps off the bike and gingerly reaches into the side car of the motorcycle with surprising gentleness that belies the size of his hands, and pulls out a wrapped bundle inside of a small basket.
"Good evening Hagrid. Did everything go alright?" The wizened old man asked.
"Good evenin' Professor. No trouble at all. I managed ter get little Harry outta the house before the muggles started poking around. Lil' tyke fell asleep as we were passin' over Bristol and bin quiet ever since."
"Very good thank you Hagrid. Please give him here so I can set up the wards to keep him safe." Dumbledore requests of his longtime friend and follower.
Having glanced in the basket in order to get a glimpse of her favorite student's child, and only remaining legacy, she sees a curious lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead. McGonagall can't help but ask, "Is that it? Is that where the Killing Curse struck him?" She inquires.
"Yes I believe it is." Dumbledore muses. He had already detected the foreign soul residing in the scar. And his old heart broke as his worst fears came true, and at the fate that awaited Harry now. The prophecy was quite clear and now it looked as though no matter what the outcome is in the future, Harry Potter would have to die, so that his old student Tom Riddle who became Lord Voldemort could die.
He knew of no other way to destroy a horcrux than the destruction of its container.
But that didn't mean he couldn't turn this entire situation to his advantage. Because of the wording of the prophecy he was reasonably certain that now, no one and nothing except for Voldemort himself could actually kill Harry.
And he's still just a baby right now. Plenty of time to mold the young boy into the martyr that the Wizarding World needed. By taking a few simple measures now, the Headmaster of Hogwarts can make his life with muggles awful. He can make it so bad, that when the time comes for him to return to the Wizarding World, the young boy would jump at the chance for salvation and to escape this mundane existence to the wonders of magic.
All the while Dumbledore would be there, built up to be everything that his reputation precedes and more. A grandfather figure that will save him every year from then on from the horrible summers with the terrible people he is about to leave the dark haired baby with.
Meanwhile, he could test the boy every year to see how he is getting along. Help guide him and properly reinforce the desired, self-sacrificing behavior his machinations will instill. So that when the day comes and Voldemort returns to power, Harry will fulfill the destiny that Dumbledore envisions for him.
Harry's sacrifice will go down in history as the pivotal moment that rendered the Dark Lord killable. Albus Dumbledore would make sure of it. He would also be sure to do right by the boy, and let all the world know that Harry Potter was their savour in the end. It was the least he could do, he thought cheerily.
He would also make sure that the young boy knew the love of a woman, maybe a few before he died. He couldn't let the boy die as a virgin, so he would allow Harry to father a few children. In fact it might be for the best, so that the Potter line could continue. As he had plans to live as long as he could, hiding in the shadows and using others to create a world of his own design. So with the Potter line continuing, he could lead them in his way of thinking and use them for his plans.
There was another reason he wanted to make Harry or his children loyal to him, the Potters made it so that only a Potter could enter the main Family Vault, where all the money, books and such was stored. Albus knew that the Potters had some very important things in their vault, like many old families, but he was unable to get to them. So he hoped that by getting young Harry on his side, he might be able to get into the Family Vault. If not, one of his children should he have any.
Shaking his head from such thoughts for now, he turned his mind back to the task at hand. He spent the day searching the Potter's Cottage, trying to find out what happened for Voldemort to be defeated. What he found made him impressed with Lily more than he already was. For a Muggleborn, she did what very few could ever do, read up on Blood Magic and use it, more precisely, she created her own spell from Blood Magic. Albus was shocked that she would resort to blood magic, but impressed all the same. Unfortunate that she was dead and he couldn't reprimand her before magnanimously forgiving her.
He found Harry's room full of books on Blood Magic, but with the damage within the room was in, most of the books and notes that were in there were destroyed. But he did recover a few things that told him what Lily was up to, she was creating her own version of a Blood Protection. This protection meant to protect her son from those who meant him harm. It was a shame that she sacrificed herself, but then again from the little he knew about the ancient magic, such protection needed a sacrifice for it to work.
Whilst he was upset to see such a prize student sacrificing herself, her sacrifice wasn't in vain. Whatever she did had worked perfectly and Dumbledore couldn't help but be curious at what the ancient magic could do. He wondered how Lily designed the protection, it was a great shame that those notes were gone forever. As he would have loved to read them and learn more about them.
It was also a shame that the books that she used were all but destroyed, only a few pages here and there was left and most of them were damaged. Without the full undamaged books, those pages were useless. If these books were still around, the old wizard would have to confiscate the rare books from her for himself, for the greater good after all. Such things were best left in more knowledgeable hands.
Dumbledore was upset that whatever Lily created was forever lost, the ritual that she performed was taken to her grave.
And while he was thinking about it, he realized it would be best for him to just take care of everything and tie up any troublesome loose ends - starting with Sirius Black. Sirius was the boy's Godfather, right now Albus had no idea where he could be seeing how Hagrid had arrived on Black's motorcycle. Albus when he first saw it put a tracking charm on the bick on the off chance he might find the young Black someday and knew that the young man never went anywhere without it. So finding Black would be harder.
But it was important to find him, as the boy's Godfather, he had every right to take him in and look after young Harry, something Albus couldn't allow if he wanted Harry to look up to him and no one else. But there was another reason that the old man wanted Sirius out of the way and that's because of the Blood Protection. One of the notes that wasn't destroyed was Lily's plan for Sirius.
She was planning to make Sirius her magical blood-brother, so that the Blood Protection would work for him. Albus couldn't allow this, it would limit the interaction he could have with the boy and how he could use him. So it was better if Sirius was dealt with, so that he was out to keep him out of the picture.
There was another person who he had to deal with as well, Alice Longbottom, who was Harry's Godmother. From Lily's and James' Will, it was stipulated that if Sirius was able to take care of their son for whatever reason, Harry should go to Alice and her family who had a child who was the same age as Harry. This meant that they too had to be dealt with too. Albus didn't want to do this, seeing how they too were an old family and useful to him, but he couldn't allow anyone to have any influence over Harry other than him.
Getting them out of the way would allow Dumbledore to instate himself as Harry's Magical Guardian, by default and keep his holdings safe for him (ransack anything of worth that he can get his hands on) until he's old enough to concern himself with tedious things like his family estate. The fact that the Potter Heir hopefully wouldn't live long enough to worry about it was just a bonus in the aged headmaster's mind.
By doing things this way, he could even give Harry family heirlooms piecemeal to keep him happy and make it seem like his parents had plenty of faith in Dumbledore to entrust him with so much at the same time. James had a curious Invisibility Cloak that the headmaster wanted to examine for the longest time in particular. A little over ten years before he'd have to give it back should be plenty of time to examine it, and it would make a great first gift for Harry.
Turning his mind back to the task at hand however, he couldn't just let Harry keep the Blood Protection as it was. Sure it was weak after what happened the night before, but he couldn't allow it to regain its strength. As it would make it far too difficult for him to die at the right time.
Keeping the protection should be enough, that's why he was here, at Lily's last blood relatives house. With Harry and his aunt sharing the same blood, he should be able to strain the Blood Protection by using it to power wards over the property.
Setting about what should have been a simple task, saw the headmaster of the most prestigious Wizarding School in Britain straining himself instead.
He found that what should have been a simple case of coaxing the blood sacrifice to accept Harry's blood relative into its protection, was turning out to be somewhat more challenging than expected. Numerous unknown factors led to this predicament, as beads of sweat began to appear on the aged wizard's brow. There was two main problems, one he didn't count on nor even come to mind and the other he forgot about:
The first reason was that he wasn't dealing with just a simple blood sacrifice. He was being actively fought, every step of the way, by a semi-sentient form of love that would not allow its purpose to be subverted in such a manner. Albus never even considered this, so didn't understand why he was having problems with it.
The second reason was that seeing it was blood sacrifice, it meant that not only would it protect Harry from trying to hurt him, but it would make sure that those with the same blood as Harry would protect him, even if they hated him. The magic wouldn't allow any family member to hurt the young boy. Albus knew of this, but he never thought that Lily knew about this sort of ritual too, as most Blood Magic was forbidden and hidden away. He realized that Lily must have read it in one of the Potter Grimoire.
Albus Dumbledore knew that whilst he was unable to break or alter the blood sacrifice as he wanted to, he could work around it. Even if it wasn't the way he wanted it. So he uses his prodigious knowledge, and a liberal sprinkle of power from the Elder Wand, to place a powerful binding on the last of the Potters.
If he couldn't weaken the protection he could put a stopper on it and hinder young Harry's potential.
Oh how the Blood Protection raged against this. But it could do nothing to stop it without hurting its charge at this point in time. It wasn't at full strength due to one circumstance after another, and hadn't finished altering the physiology of the body as it was made to. And so all it could do was gain its strength and prepare.
And because it was adaptable. The Blood Protection would continue to build up its strength. As the manifestation of his mother's love attempts and struggles to break this binding and fulfill its purpose, it would continue to grow, and grow. And similar to a muscle, constantly exercised in a slow and steady manner over the years, and years, it would become something far more potent than it was ever supposed to be. Along the way, if it could, the Blood Protection would help put Harry where it can.
Albus Dumbledore would look back on this exact moment many years in the future. And proceed to bang his head against the large desk in his office. Repeatedly.
Carrying on in the same cavalier attitude that landed him in Gryffindor for his Hogwarts years, he proceeds to set up the most powerful wards that he can under his own power.
Should anyone ask, Dumbledore would claim that they are tied to the blood sacrifice of Harry's mother. And to everyone else there will be safety in anonymity by keeping his location a secret until after he begins attending Hogwarts. By then, no one will think to check his work.
The people of the wizarding world will assume he knows what he's doing, being the great wizard that he was. People looked up to and trusted him after all. To get to where he was today, took an inordinate amount of time, effort, and letting a lot of people die in the Grindelwald war before he finally dealt with his old lover, to become the man the wizarding world looked up too.
Having finished setting up the wards he sets the basket containing Harry on the doorstep to No. 4 Privet Drive and steps back.
Hagrid had long since left, no doubt to go celebrate the defeat of the greatest Dark Lord in a century, but Minerva was still there to say goodbye.
She voiced her concern however, when she noticed Dumbledore was just about to leave, "Albus aren't you going to speak to his relatives? Explain what happened to Lily's sister and just who that is they're taking into their home?"
Pausing mid step he takes a moment to recompose himself before responding. "Dear me, you're right! I'd almost forgotten." And indeed he had embarrassingly enough.
He steps back up to the doorstep and conjures a parchment explaining, in broad strokes, the situation as it stands. And just for good measure he used the Elder Wand to cast a few powerful compulsions on the letter that will… ensure… that Harry's relatives will be less than pleasant in their treatment of their new charge. Being a conjuration it will eventually disappear in time which will get rid of the evidence at the same time. And after the compulsion has run its course, the Dursley family will be set in their ways.
It certainly wouldn't be due for Harry to re-enter the wizarding world as anything less than humble and grateful.
"A letter should suffice, I'm sure Mrs. Dursley would be happy to take in her only nephew." He reasons to his deputy headmistress.
"If you're sure. I suppose you know what's best." She reluctantly agrees.
"Of course my dear." He says while offering his arm to side along apparate them to join the festivities that were no doubt still ongoing.
Dumbledore had a legend to perpetuate after all. The-boy-who-lived had a nice ring to it, and an excellent counterpoint to He-who-must-not-be-named.
But for all the mistakes Dumbledore has made in his life and been wrong about, there is one thing he was right. The power of love is a great thing. Terrifying. But great.
To be Continued!
Author's Note - PLEASE READ TO THE END:This ends the first chapter of the remastered version of Aggressive Love by Dio Black, so you know by the time I post this, I'll have redone a few of the chapters of the original to fit my needs. The next chapter will have a few things added to it, before we get to the graveyard where Voldemort becomes a woman.
You see whilst the Blood Protection is binded, it would have been storing strength so that it could break free of the binds. However, over the years, I'm going to have it so that it would use the strength that it stored up, to help Harry out in one way or another - be it to save his life, and lead him down a path that would be better for him. And so would have to restart regaining the strength that it used to help Harry.
Now I've been reading the reviews from the original story, to see if there's any ideas I could use for mine. There were a few that gave me a few ideas, but most I'll wait until it's time to show you. However, there's a few that I would like your help with. Now whilst I'm hoping to have many chapters done by now, I'm leaving myself some room to alter the chapter in case you can give me some ideas, at which point I'll edit the chapters to fit in your ideas. So if you give me ideas for the next or future chapters, it'll take time to update, so instead of one or two weeks for an update, it'll be longer so I can edit the chapter.
Now here's what I need your help with. In the original, there was one or two reviews that said that Harry's patronus should change, seeing he is changing too to the removal of the bindings. With the removal of the bindings, he has more power and he'll be changing over time and if his patronus was to change, I want one that's strong and powerful, something dominating, an alpha animal.
But one review say that it should be upgraded, as too many just outright replace the patronus, so it'd be nice to see something slightly different. One review said the stag should evolve while it's goring dementors, bit by bit as it leaves tattered rags in its wake. So if I go with this, I would like a look of a new stag or another form, something that's darker and would look like after goring on some dementors.
In fact, I'm changing a few things in this story, so it is highly possible that he could have a different patronus altogether. So could make it so that A) as he grows and get more powerful and change who he is, his patronus would change too, or B) I could go with evolving the patronus whilst it is goring on dementors over time. I would like your thoughts about this. I'll edit the chapters to fit with what I decide from your reviews.
