Rozemyne was very confused.
One moment, she was reading a new book she had found in her library, the next she was standing in the middle of a poorly lit room on top of a magic circle, with a small kite shield sporting a deep green Feystone strapped to her arm.
Had someone kidnapped her? If so, how?
She was pretty sure she would have known if there was a method for summoning an individual against their will without a magic circle at the individual's location.
Perhaps someone repurposed one of the Feybeast summoning circles in order to work on individual humans.
Well, it wasn't like she was defenseless.
Rozemyne prayed to Schutzaria to shield her from harm… only for nothing to happen. That made her worried, but she was still able to summon her schtappe and produce a barrier with it, throwing back the men surrounding the barrier, revealing them as people who held ill intent.
Rozemyne was immediately put on guard against them, before she looked to see who hadn't been blown away, and blinked in surprise.
There were three young men in the circle with her, each of them being a different kind of pretty boy. A young man with a lean build and short black hair, a taller guy with beach blond hair and an athletic build, and a boy with lighter blond hair who looked like an honor student.
All of them were dressed in modern era clothes.
It was while Rozemyne was puzzled about this that one of the priests wearing white robes came forward and bowed towards them from the edge of Rozemyne's golden dome.
"Please, summoned heroes! Please save our world!"
Rozemyne couldn't believe it! She'd been summoned to a fantasy world of swords and magic!
…Wait…
Honestly, after her first time suddenly waking up as Myne, dying in a rundown house at the edge of a slum, she became really disenchanted to the whole 'suddenly finding yourself in another world' thing.
'Come on! I had finally got my library city going! Why did you have to summon me now!?' Rozemyne screamed internally, though she didn't let it show on the surface. On the surface, she was the calm and collected noblewoman, her noble's mask not portraying anything going on underneath.
She was putting on a performance that would have made Rihyarda proud as she followed the priests in order to meet with the King of this country.
She knew they held ill intentions for her, or at least, for someone who was summoned, but she didn't exactly have many options.
If she ran off now, she'd be left alone in this world with no knowledge of her surroundings, no money and no one to lean on. She'd be more helpless than Myne had been lying dying in her bed.
She'd need to stick around until she got her barings.
After they arrived at the grand hall, they were met with Aultcray Melromarc XXXII, the King of Melromarc, who explained to them the current situation.
The 'Waves of Calamity' had come, and so they had summoned the four Saint Heroes in order to help put a stop to it.
Looks like Rozemyne couldn't get away from the title of Saint even in this world. She supposed she should just be glad that Hartmut wasn't there to try to spread her legend across an entire second world.
…The sudden realization that she was cut off from her retainers and family struck her like a brick.
Hartmut, Rihyarda, Damuel, Angelica, Cornelius, Philine… even Ferdinand. All of them. All of her supporters and family were all in an entirely different world. A slight flicker of unstable mana shook Rozemyne as her emotions went out of control for the slightest moment, but this mana was immediately absorbed by the Legendary Holy Shield, preventing her from accidently crushing everyone in the room with her moment of weakness.
She recovered in time to find the other three heroes complaining loudly about how being forced to work for free was unreasonable… which nearly gave Rozemyne a heart attack.
Did these idiots not know that you had to give face to the nobility!? Were they trying to get them all killed! By the Gods, they hadn't even kneeled before being told that they could stand!
Even commoners who didn't know the exact movements knew that they had to at least make the attempt!
"Please have peace. A kingdom does not make its people shoulder hardships without reward. Nor do they make them shoulder them alone unless it is absolutely necessary. I am sure that we will have much support from Melromarc in completing this task." Rozemyne said, giving the boy's a gentle smile, which caused a few blushes.
"It is as the young lady says. Melromarc will provide what support it can in order to assist you heroes in overcoming this challenge." The King said with a nod.
After that, they were asked to introduce themselves, going from left to right, meaning that Rozemyne was to be last.
"The name's Kitamura Motoyasu, I'm 21 and a college student."
"Amaki Ren, age 16. I'm a highschool student."
"My name is Kawasumi Itsuki. I'm a 17-year-old high-school student."
The three gave their names in such a manner that Rozemyne was half convinced that the guards would step forward to start an execution, but the King only rolled his eyes.
Perhaps this King didn't care about maintaining his image in court as much, or the country just needed heroes enough to put up with people like them.
Even so, Rozemyne had been drilled on how to give a proper greeting to royalty.
"Your Majesty, I am overjoyed that our threads of fate were woven together on this day, as ordained by the King and Queen of the Endless Sky. My name Rozemyne Tochter Linkberg Adotie Alexandria, Archduchess of the Library City of Alexandria and Warden of the Eastern Seagate of Yurgenschmidt. May I pray for you a blessing to commemorate this meeting?" Rozemyne said with a smile that could have gotten approval from even Ferdinand.
"...You are an Archduchess?" The King said, seeming surprised. "You seem rather young."
"I will admit that I will not be of age until my next Summer. That is when I will be turning 15. But we are not able to choose when our people need us, only whether or not we answer, and I could not turn a deaf ear." Rozemyne said, trying to sound noble.
Really, Ferdinand had explained to her that if she accepted the position of Archduchess of the former Ahrensbach territory, she wouldn't have to marry the Prince and she'd be allowed to build her library city, and no one would be able to stop her.
"I was very fortunate to have many talented retainers who helped me perform my duties. Without them, someone like me would have never been able to lead her people."
"You're only 14?" Motoyasu said in surprise. "No offense, but you look really mature for your age."
"I see that as a complement." Rozemyne almost broke character, happy to hear people calling her mature for her age.
It had been a few months since the blessings of the Gods had caused her to grow from 4'3'' all the way up to 5'4'', making her above average height for a Japanese woman, not that she was a Japanese woman anymore.
With her long, silky, dark blue hair tied up with the rainbow stone hairpin that Ferdinand had made for her, and the white and gold dress that had been prepared for her by her sister Tuuli, she looked gorgeous.
Well, obviously. Her body was modeled after that of a literial Goddess.
The conversation moved on, telling the heroes about their 'status menus' and explaining to them that each of them would have to go on their own separate journey to level up, since their Legendary Weapons would interfere with each other.
Rozemyne hadn't been much of a gamer in her previous life, preferring to spend her time reading light-novels. Spending a hundred hours grinding out levels in a video game would have gotten in the way of her reading, but she wasn't unfamiliar with the concept of stats and leveling up.
She was VERY concerned though, as she looked at her stats page.

Oh gods, her MP was insane!
Not that it was anything new.
The main problem was that she wasn't sure how level ups would affect it. If it was just +2 or 3 every level it would be fine, not even noticeable, but if it increased based on percentages…
There is no way she'd be able to control that much mana!
"Now, go and rest. We will call for you when the welcoming feast is ready." King said, getting up from his chair and heading out.
Some attendants came to the four years, ready to lead them to their quarters, but Rozemyne asked for something different.
"Does this castle have a library?"
Rozemyne let out a squeal of delight as she saw it, a large, full library, packed with books that she had never read before.
Her sudden uncontained delight shocked both the Heroes and their escorts.
"Thank the Gods, I was afraid I had ended up in yet another world without books!" Rozemyne cried as her mana started to go out of control, causing her to become enveloped in the golden light of her mana, her eyes turning the color of rainbows.
Everyone went into a panic, not sure what to do about the sudden surge of mana, as Rozemyne lifted her arms into the usual 'V' shape and stood on one leg. "Praise to the Gods!" She cried from the depths of her heart.
…And nothing happened.
The suddenness of the nothing shocked Rozemyne out of her book induced trance and she stood there puzzled. "That is odd."
"...What the heck was that!?" Ren shouted, confused by the display of magic power.
"I was trying to bless this library, but for some reason, the Gods did not answer my prayer." Rozemyne said with a troubled look before realization came to her. "I see. The Gods that made my old world are not the same as the ones that made this one. They can't hear me here." Rozemyne said, saddened.
As much trouble as Rozemyne always got into because of the Gods jumping in to answer her unintended prayers, being cut off from them felt weird.
"You alright?" Motoyasu asked her.
"I will be fine. It is just that I spent several years acting as the High Bishop of a Temple, praying to the Gods daily and offering them my mana." Rozemyne explained. "For them to be unable to hear my prayers is going to be something that will take some getting used to."
"You were a High Bishop?" One of the escorts asked, surprised.
"Yes. I was until I became the Archduchess of Alexandria. After that, I passed the responsibility on to my younger brother. He's only nine years old, but he is a good child who is putting his whole heart into it." Rozemyne said proudly. "But that is enough of that. It is time to read."
Rozemyne walked into the library and selected one of the books off of the shelf, carefully bringing it to a nearby table and opening it to the first page… after which her bright expression fell. "I… I can't read it."
It hadn't occurred to her, since she had been able to speak to them just fine, but she must have been speaking an entirely new language. A language that she didn't know how to read.
She turned her head to one of the attendants who had been guiding them. "Go and fetch someone who can teach me how to read."
She was not going to let such a small stumbling block get in her way. She'd overcome far greater obstacles for the sake of her books.
She swore to herself that she would be able to read any of these books by the end of the week, and nothing was going to stop her!
