As forecasted, rain had arrived at the valley again, casting its watery downpour on everything beneath. This spared me on having to water my crops… which was important because Clint was currently working on my Watering Can. As I stretched my arms, petting Pippin as he stood by my side, I noticed that I had more mail. Amongst the flyers from JojaMart and Pierre's, was a ominous black and blue letter.

Opening it revealed a strange and almost mythical yet distinguishable English and it read:

To the Farmer.

I have noticed that you were poking around in the old community center. Come to the tall tower in Cindersap Forest. I believe someone like yourself want some answers about the stranger goings on in this Valley, as well as the solution to your…

Rat Problem…

Rasmodius.

P.S: My tower might smell funny… it's just my work.

I scratched my head in confusion so I went down south and into the charted forest where, along the way, was a strange cart parked some ways before the Tower. Upon closer inspection, it was towed by a rather large pig with these comically round glasses and a red velvety Fez. It oinked as I touched it curiously, grabbing the attention of the owner within the carriage.

"Good Morning, stranger! Come to see my wares? I run the Travelling Cart and visit town every Friday and Sundays. I got all kinds of useful stuff to sell… some of which may come in Bundles… hehe…"

There was quite a vivid selection of goods on offer; Wines, Flowers and even some strange red seeds. Amused by the selection, I paid the healthy sum and took one such sample of the exotic seed.

"Now, these are special seeds. Not everything can be grown in the Season. This one has to be grown on the first day of Fall so make sure not to forget. I promise you it'll be worth it in the end. So, I'd keep it in storage for now.

Thanks for stopping by!" The woman explained.

Well, since I bought my first strange item from the cart, something tells me that she might be of use some way down the line and so, I continued on with my trek through the woods and made my way to the foot of this crooked tower.

Inside was a strange mystical aura. On the left was a great big cauldron bubbling away some ominous ooze, on the right were anagrams of magical proportions lay drawn on the floor, the air smelled of a strong musky moss and tomes lay open across the floor. In the centre of the room however was a man drenched in a great dark cloak and a tall hat.

"Ah, you read my letter… thus I am glad to be your acquaintance. Allow me to introduce myself.

I am Rasmodious, proprietor of the Arcane Arts, Guardian of the Magical Realm, Master of Dark Magic, Alchemist of all things Potions…

… You get the idea.

Come, Come…closer…" He asked and I nervously neared. He looked to the strange glyph on the floor beside him and clicked his fingers, upon which another one of those sentient apples glow within the epicenter of this magical system.

I don't know anything of this valley but to realise that this place was more than that of my perfect 'utopia', it really does speak for itself.

"Now… as you may have seen… these creatures are guardians of the forest. They go by the name of the Jumino. A small sentient race whom harbour great powers of the trees. Why they inhabit the local Community Center remains to be uncertain. I have reached out to them but I have had no response.

Maybe some deep resentment or old rivalry, that I cannot be certain… then it brought me to this." The Wizard spoke as I was led up to the brim of the huge bowl gushing away the mysterious concoction within.

"What about the Tablet? I saw it in some alien language in the center." I spoke.

"Tablet? Hmm? One moment…" Rasmodius responded and, in a finger click, he vanished in a speck of light, almost making me fall into the soup. A few minutes later and he was back through the door and joined me back at the Cauldron.

"I read the note… very peculiar…

We, the Junimo, are happy to aid you. In return we ask for gifts of the valley. If you are one with forest magic then you will see the true nature of this scroll."

The man leaned further into the bowl and smelled the various scents permeating from the goo.

"One with Forest Magic…

AHA! That's it!

This potion, I have been brewing, has been packed with ingredients in the Forest. Robbie, I must implore that you drink the contents if you have any hope of understanding their language." He answered quite abrupt, giving me quite a shock.

I leered into the soup and questioned the validity of it. Now, of all the drinks I had, this was the most suspicious… Could I really drink this stuff without dying from poison?

Though, if I hope to bring serenity back to Pelican Town… one has to be brave, I suppose.

I took the wizard's vessel and scooped a good amount inside. Even then, it still bubbled and popped in an untrusting fashion yet, after a good amount of hesitation. I gave up and slugged the whole thing down and my face just swelled. I gacked, coughed from the sheer rancid assaulting taste and lurched over as my stomach coiled in pain. Then, my vision began to fade as swirls of emerald green surged from the corners and peeled in front. I was obviously hallucinating and the experience was really unpleasant. However, as it subsided, I felt renewed and feel a little stronger… maybe I was destined to use the magic after all.

"Excellent work, my boy. Now that you have tasted the true essence of the forest, you should be able to decipher the language and figure out their requirements." Rasmodious spoke in acclaim as he leaned down to my height. "You might be what Stardew Valley had been needing all this time. For now, leave me to my studies… and you certainly have lots of work to do." The Wizard said, ushering me out of the door and leaving me to the outside.

Well, time to go visit the Community Center and I headed up there, feeling the rain patter on my head as I snaked through Cindersap Forest and into Pelican Town before sheltering in the Center. I went back to where the Tablet where, rather magically, it transformed before my very eyes. I was simply astounded with it all and now all the gibberish suddenly became readable.

Inside, were a bunch of pages that, once flicked over, were quite special. On it were various sockets. The engrams on top depicted faint images of the things that would go into them. If the Junimos wanted to receive a gift then it's likely through this means that they'd receive it. This particular tablet focused mainly on things found on the farm; Crops from my fields and various items that populated the ground. With this new mission, I got to make sure that amongst my yield, I gotta keep some set aside for when the time comes to donating these to the Community Center.

I later left the building and dived a bit more into the Mines, going as far as the 10th floor and managed to procure a rather vivid purple crystal… two in fact. One of which could go to that Museum Guy. Therefore, I headed down to Gunther and presented my findings.

"Great George, these be Quartz and Amethysts and such fine specimens too. You got a good eye finding these little blighters. Keep up the good, my dear boy!" He spoke heartedly and I left the man be so to give Abigail that crystal that she wanted so much and that was on the bridge, looking over the river past the JojaMart.

"Hey, Robbie… do yo- Wait… is that?" She went as I offered her the gemstone and she coo'd in awe and gawked through its glassy surface. "It's… beautiful. I can't believe you went out of your way to give me this. Thank you so much~" She went and headed inside Pierre's.

I felt a little warmer inside and started to feel a bit closer to her. Perhaps I might see to a future in the family after all.

With a giddy smile, I headed back to bed… hopefully, my Watering Can should be ready by then.
