A/N - Aaand off we go
"Yes! Back to Percy's pov." Leo cheered. The demigods snickered. Percy groaned.
"Hey, you got a good break of one book." Jason said
"And I also got a whole five books on me excluding the Greek gods and Greek heroes." Percy reminded him.
"Okay yeah. That's true." Jason admitted.
"I'm just here for the weird descriptions." Travis snickered. Everybody nodded. Percy shook his head.
"If you're here then can I leave?" he asked. Everybody burst out laughing.
THE SNAKE-HAIRED LADIES WERE starting to annoy Percy
"Snake haired?" Artemis said
"Yep." Percy answered.
"Luckily not Medusa." Annabeth grimaced.
"Oh yeah. I would have found it really annoying to meet good old Aunty Em again." Percy agreed
"Ah good old burger lady." Grover snickered. Everybody watched the three of them in amusement and Poseidon sighed and shook his head.
They should have died three…heads in Tilden Park.
The demi youngers winced.
"Ah. That is soo annoying." Leo groaned.
"I imagine it would be. It's going to be really hard to keep killing them again and again." Aphrodite shook her head
"And I think that you still have your Achilles spot in the book." Ares added on to Percy who nodded.
"That's a good thing and bad. Good thing is that even they won't be able to kill him easily. Bad news is that it could be hit by mistake." Rachel shook her head.
No matter how many times Percy…re-forming like large evil dust bunnies
Everybody snickered or burst out laughing.
"And this is why Percy's pov is the supreme one." Connor snickered
"The descriptions. Chef's kiss." Travis grinned. Percy winked at him.
"And somehow they're always at the tensest moments. I have absolutely no idea how your brain even manages to think of such descriptions while you're fighting." Triton chuckled and shook his head.
"We've been trying to figure that out for ages." Beckendorf told him dryly but his face was filled with amusement. Percy was just grinning in the middle of all of this.
"Apparently, his thoughts are just as moody as him." Clarisse stated. Percy snickered.
He couldn't even seem…stay dead longer than that.
"That is way too short. I mean they're monsters and they probably have super speed and catch up easily even if you run." Thalia shook her head
"That's true. But the good part was that even they weren't able to kill me." Percy shrugged
"If they would have then I would got you back from the Underworld so that I could kill you myself." Annabeth said. Percy grinned at her.
"Noted, milady." He said with a bow. Everybody laughed and chuckled good naturedly.
"How can you literally turn almost every dialogue into flirting?" Thalia shook her head
"Its not flirting, Thals. Its called being charming." Percy said with a grin.
"Whatever." Thalia said with a playful roll of her eyes. Everybody snickered at the two of them. Honestly, their cousin banter never stopped but they were still always the first one to have each other's' backs.
The past few days…splattered with monster slime
The funny and light atmosphere went away almost immediately as they head the situation that Percy was in.
Poseidon suddenly felt extremely hungry and sleep deprived along with being covered in slime.
"Hera was the one who took the memories right?" Dionysus drawled. Percy nodded.
The sea gang glared at her.
"Sleep deprived huh?" Nico asked with a small grin, trying to lighten the mood
"Yeah. Again." Percy snickered
"All teens are crazily sleep deprived." Nico chuckled.
"Facts." The demi youngers nodded
"Honestly, you don't have your memories and you're still able to remember that a Jack in the Crack burrito was a new personal low." Chris snickered
"Hey, those are important to remember." Percy grinned. Everybody managed a snicker or chuckle.
He'd only survived this long…sure the gorgons would find a way
"Don't be so pessimistic." Aphrodite chided.
"I was being realistic." Percy said
"I can't disagree with that…" Aphrodite said, tilting her head
Where to run?... weighed on Percy's chest.
Poseidon exhaled as he felt despair ring through him. Though Percy was a god now, he didn't want his son to feel unhappy…ever.
Something told him he'd been…could remember from his past.
Annabeth turned a bright red color as she heard that. Percy gave her a slight shy smile.
"Soulmates." Silena chuckled.
"No doubt about that." Aphrodite smiled.
"Nope. Seriously, even I am saying this. I mean, I cannot but help remember that awkward kiss for me which Percy gave Annabeth at the place where the rivalry started." Piper smirked. Percy and Annabeth turned even redder.
"Wait wait. Hold up. Where?" Travis asked with a grin.
"Should I tell them?" Piper teased Percy and Annabeth
"Maybe not in front of our parents. We'll tell you later." Annabeth said. The demi youngers nodded.
"Yeah-yeah. Maybe-maybe not in front of our parents." Percy said, his voice cracking. He cleared his throat. It had been three dam months and all their voices were still cracking. It was way too much at first and it was getting slightly better by now. Dionysus had said that it was going to be like that for some time now.
"As you wish." Piper grinned
"Why can't they tell us?" Athena asked curiously
"Athena, I think that our childrens' private life is their private life and not exactly our business." Poseidon said with a slight glare. Then he smiled at Percy and Annabeth who gave him grateful looks.
Athena scowled a little but didn't argue. She gestured to Chris to continue reading.
His memory of her was frustratingly dim.
Poseidon felt the despair be replaced by frustration and he sighed as it felt like he was trying to grasp something that he knew he should know but he just wasn't able to find it.
"That sounds really annoying." Persephone shook her head
The wolf had promised he would…Salt water was the best
"It hurts bad af if you put it on a deep cut. That's why I said no to it when you wanted to put it on your stab wound and your scars." Will said to Percy who nodded.
"Will said 'af'. Guys, we're making him lose his innocence. Can we please let at least one person be innocent?" Thalia groaned dramatically. Everybody burst out laughing and Will rolled his eyes playfully.
"That's not going to happen, really." Lee snickered
"And he lost it a looong time ago." Michael grinned
He'd discovered that two days ago when he had strangled a sea monster in the Carquinez Strait.
"I probably would've used a weapon." Triton said weakly.
"Yeah, why strangle?" Artemis shook her head
"Didn't have a weapon and the skin was too thick." Percy explained.
"Ah." Artemis nodded
"Damn, you're strong that you strangled it." Triton shook his head. Percy shrugged.
The end of his journey was close…crunching leaves, hissing. Gorgons.
Everybody groaned.
For the millionth time…demigod stink was hard to mask.
The demi youngers burst out laughing. Grover was snickering.
"Very very hard. Especially for you." He said, gesturing to the big three kids.
"What about now?" Thalia asked curiously
"Its much stronger but its much more powerful for everybody so the monsters automatically back away just like for all gods." Grover explained.
"Ah that makes sense. And its relieving, really." Jason chuckled. The demi youngers nodded.
"The scent is basically what smell you leave behind when you teleport as well. Like for D its sour grapes, you guys have your own scents and it does tell monsters that there is a god there." Hephaestus explained
Everybody nodded.
He scrambled to the west side…managed to get himself cornered
"Oh great." Triton groaned
"Now, according to my calculations, its crazy Percy idea time." Nico informed
"Hey. It works." Percy defended himself.
"Because its crazy." Nico said with a grin. Percy shrugged.
He scrambled to the west side...He had to check out that tunnel.
The Romans nodded.
"And there we will be!" Frank said with a bit of faux cheerfulness but with a genuine grin to know Percy. Percy snickered and winked at him.
He needed a way down…Panda Pillow Pet (as seen on TV)
Everybody chuckled.
"Now I know what to get you for your birthday." Jason said with a grin. Percy nodded.
"I hate Octavian." He muttered. The ones who knew what happened, snickered.
And a Swiss army knife…would serve as a parachute or a sled.
"I mean you could always-" Travis started with his troublemaker grin.
"You better not finish that." Katie said with a groan but she knew he was going to. Travis grinned at her.
"You could always roll the camping roll and control the water to make it a booster and shoot down the hill and hug the pillow pet on the way down." Travis suggested. Katie groaned. Percy laughed.
"I wish I had thought of that." He said
"Please don't give him ideas." Triton pleaded to Travis who snickered.
That left him two options…More? He'd lost track
"I'm sorry?" Poseidon asked "How many months again?" he said
"Two." Chris said, reading the text and nodding. A dark look fell over Poseidon's face which nobody liked. The sea gang were the only ones who weren't intimidated.
He'd found himself in the…barefoot, freezing, and confused.
"Excuse me?" The demi youngers and sea gang growled.
"You left him barefoot and freezing." Poseidon growled at Hera who winced under her brother's glare.
"He had to reach the Roman way." Hera defended
"To be honest, even we don't end up in those conditions." Dakota frowned. Poseidon shot Hera a glare which clearly said that it better not get worse but Hera's reaction might have made him realize that it did and the already dark look on his face, darkened even more.
And then the wolves came…the smiley one—Beano.
Percy's cousins snorted and Annabeth chuckled while the other demi youngers just shook their heads fondly. Percy grinned sheepishly.
"There isn't a gorgon named Beano. There's Medusa, Euryale and Stheno." Athena said.
"I meant the last one. Stheno. I'm dyslexic so I read it as Beano the first time." Percy answered.
Okay, her name wasn't really…he'd thought it said BEANO.
Everybody snickered.
"Beano the gorgon." Travis announced. The laughter increased.
She was still wearing her…writhing nest of bright green snakes
There were some shudders.
"Gross." Thalia said, wrinkling her nose
"You don't say." Percy said with a raised eyebrow. Thalia stuck her tongue out at him.
The most horrible thing…little samples looked perfectly fine.
Everybody snickered.
"Oh that must be a pain." Nico nodded sagely.
"It was. It actually was." Percy said, shaking his head
"You could tell her to take the samples and-" Thalia started but then stopped herself. "Never mind." She said sheepishly. Everybody burst out laughing. Zeus looked at Thalia in amusement and Artemis looked proud. Percy and Nico gave her thumbs ups.
Stheno just kept toting them…They were indestructible
"Thanks for the advice." Connor grinned.
"We will make sure to follow it." Travis nodded
"Not during fights but in general, even I want one." Percy said. The three of them looked at Leo expectantly. The son of Hephaestus was grinning.
"I can do that." He nodded.
Annabeth and Katie shook their heads fondly.
"Try one?" Stheno offered…kill you on an empty stomach."
"That's…weird." Chris said with a raised eyebrow
"Monsters are weird." Clarisse snorted. Chris laughed.
"That is true." He said with a smile.
"Stheno!" The second gorgon appeared…Percy and bared her fangs.
"She sounds much more serious." Grover said
"Probably closer to her sister or something. Like Chris said, monsters are weird." Annabeth shook her head
Except for her hair, which was…My name is DIE, DEMIGOD SCUM!
"Hello, die demigod scum. Its not a pleasure to meet you." Leo said cheerfully. Everybody snorted and snickered. Percy grinned and winked at Leo.
"You've led us on quite a chase…he'd be tumbling through thin air.
Everybody tensed again. The sea gang took in sharp breaths. Percy, Frank and Hazel were the only ones who were calm.
"Look, ladies, we've been…giant bronze tusks. "Can we?"
There were some snorts of amusement.
"She seems more interested in marketing than killing you." Chris snickered.
"No!" Euryale's red eyes bored…It's your fault!"
"Its not my fault that she's slow in reforming. I mean, I sure am glad though." Percy shook his head
"You could always send them to Tartarus to join their beloved sister." Connor suggested
"I'm trying." Percy sighed "They won't stay for their reunion for more than two hours." He said. Everybody couldn't help but snicker at the way the two of them were talking.
Percy didn't really get that…barnacle-encrusted god from five thousand years ago
Poseidon put on a faux hurt expression.
"Barnacle encrusted?" He asked, with a mock dramatic offended hand on his chest. Percy grinned sheepishly and the sea god chuckled.
"You're rubbing off on him." Ares said to Dionysus with a smirk
"It had to happen someday." Castor chuckled. Percy grinned at Dionysus who raised his eyebrows in amusement which was basically like a grin.
But he did believe it…shouldn't I be petrified by now?"
"Ooh. Don't mention that to them." Hermes grimaced
"Why?" Silena asked
"They hate that they cannot turn people into stone. They want to look like Medusa." Artemis explained
"They are definitely strange." Silena shook her head.
"It's a trend for monsters." Beckendorf chuckled.
"Heroes!" Euryale said with disgust…sister can turn people to stone.
"Well your sister also scre-" Nico started but stopped.
"Don't even go there. Please." Percy pleaded. Nico snickered.
"No really. Don't go there. We're all going to have to take a break to drink water and then to throw it all out." Annabeth agreed.
"Okay yeah. That's true." Nico shrugged.
"I'm pretty sure that Nico was the one who got you all dirty minded." Frank said in amusement.
"It was mutual." Nico said with a smirk.
Hermes, Apollo, Ares and Dionysus burst out laughing as they realized what Nico was about to say. The others looked a bit confused but decided that it would be best if they didn't ask.
Well, I'm sorry to disappoint…That was Medusa's curse alone.
"Oh, I'm not disappointed." Percy said, shaking his head
She was the most hideous…I was the most hideous."
"They want to be ugly?" Piper asked
"It's their one true wish." Aphrodite wrinkled her nose
"Quiet!" Euryale snapped…remember any dip in the Styx.
"You took away his memory of his Achilles spot." Poseidon said to Hera in a way too calm voice which was much more deadly. The goddess shuddered.
"Hera, we don't pray but my suggestion to you would be that you pray to whatever being you do so to that Percy doesn't calm to any harm due to your tactics otherwise no being whosoever is going to be able to help you." Poseidon growled. The color drained out of Hera's face and she shuddered. Poseidon slung an arm around Percy and smiled. Percy returned it.
The others were a little intimidated if they were going to be honest. The demi youngers always knew that Percy got the extra intimidating side of from his dad and that just sealed it a 100% but they were relatively less intimidated because they were all mad about the conditions that Percy was in almost as much as Poseidon.
"How could you make him forget his Achilles spot?" Annabeth shook her head in disgust
"That has nothing to do with the Roman way." Athena agreed. Percy gave her a surprised look but Athena just nodded.
"Yeah. Even we don't have such a tough and insane journey." Frank shook his head.
Then again, he didn't remember much…silver platter of free samples. Hmm...
"Oh no. Its time for your insane ideas now." Pollux said to Percy
"They work." Percy shrugged
"Doesn't make them less heart attack inducing for us." Triton protested. Poseidon nodded in agreement. Percy gave the two of them a sheepish grin.
"Reconsidering?" Stheno asked…blood from our left side is deadly—"
"Why would she even tell him that? I mean, I am glad that she did." Travis sighed
"Lets just be grateful that she has 0 IQ." Connor sighed
"You dimwit!" Euryale screeched…would be quick and painless."
"Okay first. I don't care. And second. That's not how I would prefer it." Percy said, ticking it off his fingers.
"Why would you not prefer a quick and painless death? I'm just curious." Persephone asked
"Its not that I won't prefer a quick and painless death, its just that I wouldn't prefer one in which I would go down without a fight. And the one that they're talking about is that kind of death." Percy said, trying to explain. Persephone nodded.
"You can't die now." She said with a smile
"That's a plus." Percy grinned.
"Never mind!" Euryale's fingernails grew…Our patron will reward us greatly!"
"Or hurt you greatly seeing as she has a particular fascination for wanting to kill Percy personally." Nico stated
"Well, don't I feel honored." Percy said dryly
Percy gripped his sword…demigods will be cut down like—like—"
"Wait. Did they just tell Percy the plan because he asked for it?" Zeus asked
"Percy can literally get any information out of anybody by just asking. He just has a different kind of influence." Thalia shook her head fondly.
"Only Percy." Castor chuckled. Percy smiled.
"Percy? You call him Percy now?" Nico asked Zeus who gave a nod. Nico turned to look at Percy who shrugged.
"I asked him to call me that." He said.
"Miracles do happen." Nico chuckled.
"Maybe." Percy shrugged. Zeus nodded.
"Like our low prices at Bargain…"Medusa!" she screamed.
Everybody burst out laughing and snickered.
Her sister Euryale had crumbled…like a snowman un-melting.
"Ugh, not an image I wanted." Katie shuddered.
"Sorry." Percy said
"They're reforming way too fast." Chiron sighed.
"Stheno, you fool!"…and she passed out cold.
Everybody cheered.
He put the platter behind his butt…jumped off the side of the hill
"Ahh." Poseidon said and buried his face in his hands
"That was the only way." Percy said sheepishly.
"Chapter's done." Chris said. There was a note that fell into the book. Chris sighed and read it.
"They say that we have a function coming up. They're going to give the details later." He said
"That's fine." Travis shrugged.
"I'll read." Clarisse said. Chris passed her the book with a smile.
