ON THE WAY BACK, HAZEL TRIPPED…but she took a spill and scraped her hands.
Hades grimaced a bit in pain as he rubbed his hands on his pant leg which came off to be a little stained with blood.
"You okay?" Nico knelt next to her…number and the words u.s. treasury.
"What on earth?" Connor asked with his mouth wide open.
"It could've been buried or dropped years ago." Hazel sighed.
Nico shook his head…It was too horrible to consider.
Everybody shook their heads at the frightening and disturbing mental image.
"It should sink back underground…nothing was left but a scar of fresh dirt.
Everybody's mouths hung open. Hades gave a small smile to Hazel.
"Damnn." Travis muttered.
"That sounds so epic!" Connor grinned widely.
"It wasn't that epic." Hazel shook her head
Nico's eyes widened…good to surprise him for a change.
"Honestly, I find your powers super cool." Nico said with a smile. Hazel grinned at him.
Inside the camp, horns blew again…hundred pounds of other equipment.
"Now, that sounds really lit." Pollux grinned and high fived Dakota.
If you were out of shape…with a dozen medals pinned on his chest.
Everybody rolled their eyes at the mention of the former augur.
"Never met anybody as annoying as him." Nico shook his head
"I hate him." Tyson nodded.
"Agreed, big guy." Percy sighed.
Hazel was still seething from his…so she could hit him in the face with it.
Everybody looked at Hazel in surprise and then cheered and grinned widely.
"I would pay to see that." Jason grinned. Hades chuckled at Hazel.
"You're not the only one." Nico said and looked proudly at Hazel
She ran past Reyna, who was cantering…Technically, she wasn't late.
"Now, that is the logic that all the geniuses use." Leo nodded and grinned at Hazel who chuckled.
"I mean, technicalities." She said
"Exactly." Leo said.
Nico joined Percy Jackson…embarrassment rippling through the legion.
"I don't think that there was any point of it." Pollux shook his head
"True." Reyna admitted "But it was the customs… Stopping them after so long didn't seem right." She said
Reyna brought her pegasus to a halt…The other legionnaires snickered.
Frank turned a little red.
Reyna motioned the senior officers forward…What better recommendation could you want?
"Exactly!" The Greek demi youngers shouted.
"I'd like to see him carry a goddess while being chased by gorgons and being sleep deprived, frozen and hungry. The guy would pass out and be dead." Castor wrinkled his nose.
But Octavian's family had been sending…"He saved my life!"
Percy smiled at Frank.
"Anytime." He said
Immediately there were shouts of protest…like he might die of embarrassment.
Ares felt Frank's embarrassment and squeezed his shoulder.
"See. That's the exact kind of crap that doesn't happen at Camp Half Blood. Everybody is treated with respect. Here's its all about rank." Clarisse said angrily, in defense of Frank. Yeah, she got the honor and war part but the rank part was really frustrating.
"Its not crap. Its customs." Reyna said with a slight glare. She respected the daughter of Ares. Admired her bravery, even but she still did not like to listen to such blunt forms of disrespect to the Camp Jupiter customs even if she was a hunter. She understood where Clarisse was coming from and hence wasn't too angry.
"Well, then maybe its time to change them." Clarisse said, returning the slight glare.
"Clarisse. Reyna." Percy said a little sharply. Reyna and Clarisse stopped arguing. Everybody looked at Percy in amazement. He rarely…very rarely, used his king authority and only when it was very necessary. He had everybody's respect for that and when he did use it, nobody would go against it.
"Please have a peaceful discussion instead of a heated debate. It's a custom they follow. It might not sit well with the customs and approach we have but they have a different way. We should respect it just as much they respect ours." Percy said to Clarisse.
"True." Clarisse admitted. Percy was still the old Percy. He would first stop it from going too far and then sort it all out.
Hazel couldn't leave him hanging…Another loser for the Fifth.
"Last person, I'd call a loser." Jason snorted
"This is going to be good. Got popcorn?" Travis asked Connor who conjured some.
"Can't wait to see what Percy does to the others in war games." Connor grinned.
"The three of them are going to destroy the others." Michael said gleefully
Frank pounded his shield against the ground…Here we go again.
"I'd be more excited if I were you." Castor grinned at Dakota who grinned and winked back.
"I'd be more excited if Percy could've told me exactly what he could do." Dakota pouted at Percy who grinned back at him.
"A magician never tells his tricks." He winked and kept a finger to his lips. Everybody laughed while the demi youngers nodded in agreement.
"My cohort has spoken,"… she was glad to be done with him
"I'm sure she was." Percy said to Reyna who chuckled.
"No doubt." She said
Skippy spread his beautiful wings…not for Roman legionnaires
"I have a horse who I wouldn't exchange for all the pegasi in the world." Hazel beamed
"He sure knows a lot of swear words." Percy said "I love him." He grinned. The ones who knew who they were talking about burst out laughing.
"Centurions," Reyna said…"That took guts, standing for him."
"Hmm. I'm pretty sure that the five of us would do that for each other." Percy said, referring to the big three kids
Thalia snorted. "Cousin, we'd give our lives for each other." She said. The five nodded.
Hades, Poseidon and Zeus looked at each other with wide eyes but sighed and nodded with a small smile. Wouldn't they give their lives for each other too?
"There's no doubt about that." Annabeth said to the cousins.
He had never called her Sis before. She wondered if that was what he had called Bianca.
"No." Nico said, looking Hazel right in the eye. Nico's eyes had deepened to a dark brown that looked almost black once he had turned into a god, matching their father's. But like him, Nico could also convey a hundred things with his eyes. Right now, all Hazel saw was him promising that she was his sister. Hazel smiled at him and Nico grinned then and gave her a side hug.
One of the guards had given Percy his probation…"Hungry? Let's eat."
"Pretty sure that I lost all my appetite." Percy chuckled dryly.
"No, you didn't." Poseidon shook his head. "I can feel it." He said. Percy grinned sheepishly.
"Sort of forgot that you could feel that too." He said. Poseidon chuckled.
"Chapter's done." Jason said
"I'll read." Castor said
