Percy had a very peaceful and colorful wake up call as Nico rang the bell to the quarters a hundred times. Percy and Poseidon both had the same messed up hair when the opened the door to see Nico and Hades standing there in plain shirts and shorts.
"What?" Percy and Poseidon asked in annoyance.
"Party starts in 30 minutes. Get ready." Nico said, tapping his watch.
"Right." Percy said "Good morning to you too." He said to Nico and Hades before he went to take a bath.
"Just hold on a minute." Poseidon grinned and pulled out his phone and snapped two photos before Hades had time to process what happened.
"Delete it." He said
"Nope. Long time since I'm seeing you wear shorts. Perfect blackmail material." Poseidon shook his head and he went into the other bathroom.
"Oh well." Nico snickered at Hades.
"Come in." Triton gestured to them. He had sent Amphitrite too hang out with Annabeth for some bonding time seeing that she was Percy's girlfriend.
They waited for 10 minutes before Percy came out of his room in the middle of the process of putting on his blue shirt.
"I should wear blue or white?" Percy asked
"Jason's wearing white." Nico informed. Percy nodded and put on his blue shirt. They waited for five more minutes before Poseidon got ready as well.
"Come on. Only fifteen minutes more." Percy said. He and Nico raced out of the quarters with Hades and Poseidon following them. Percy and Nico might just have broken the bell to the Zeus quarters by the number of times they rung it.
"Guys. Chill." Thalia said as she opened the door, shaking her head
"You literally do the same thing." Nico pointed out. Thalia smirked.
"Are Jason and Zeus ready?" Poseidon asked. Thalia nodded.
"Yeah, we're here." Jason said with a grin.
"Lets go." Zeus said as he came out of the quarters.
"Right." Hades said.
Percy, Jason and Nico kept looking at each other and then at their parents as they walked to the party.
"Lets hope it goes well, eh?" Nico muttered to Jason and Percy who nodded in agreement.
"Lets not jinx it." Jason said. Percy nodded at that.
They heard the music before they saw the party which was quite loud.
"Well damn, they already started." Percy said with a raised eyebrow.
"Wow. This is set up well." Jason said as they reached.
"Aphrodite and Dionysus' parties are always like that." Zeus told him.
"What about Hermes and Apollo's then?" Nico asked
"Those are about the best club parties." Zeus answered
"Oh nice." Nico nodded.
"Lets goo!" Percy whooped. Nico and Jason grinned as well.
Percy was glad that there were snacks because he tasted almost every single snack.
"Dude, take this." Jason said, giving Nico and Percy a cigarette roll which was stuffed and was a snack.
"Put it in your mouth and lets click a selfie." Jason grinned. Nico and Percy chuckled and did as Jason asked.
The two of them put up the two fingered sign and grinned with the roll in their mouths and Jason clicked the photo. The music changed to Animals my Maroon 5.
"I hate the music video." Jason shook his head
"Not exactly the most pg 13 one." Percy agreed
"Why are you guys standing here?" Nico asked Poseidon, Zeus and Hades
"Then what are we supposed to do?" Poseidon asked
"Do whatever you want." Nico said.
"All right." Poseidon shrugged and went off somewhere. So did Zeus. Hades just went to the bar.
"Hey, are you free tonight?" a girl's voice said to Percy. Percy turned to look at her.
"I'm sorry?" he asked
"Are you free tonight?" the girl repeated. She was obviously into Percy.
"My apologies but I'm not." Percy said with a nervous chuckle. The girl looked disappointed and moved on. Nico and Jason looked highly amused by this and burst out laughing as she left.
"Shut up, you two. You're going to have deal with it too." Percy said. That made them keep quiet.
"Didn't think about that." Nico admitted. Percy smirked.
"What a song." Jason commented as Beautiful Mistakes started playing.
"Oh dear." Nico pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Why don't we just try to enjoy ourselves?" Percy suggested "Y'know drink some soda. Dance." He said
"That's a good idea." Jason suggested.
"Don't forget to take pictures of us." Percy said. Jason and Nico nodded.
Percy, Nico and Jason jumped onto the bar stools and grinned at Hades who was there as well. The three of them ordered virgin mojitos.
"Why are you not dancing, uncle?" Percy asked Hades, leaning behind Nico.
"I could ask you the same question." Hades replied amusedly
"Fair enough." Percy chuckled. "Cheers." He grinned as his virgin mojito got ready.
"Cheers." Hades chuckled. The four of them clinked their glasses and Jason took a picture with one hand.
"Wanna dance, guys?" Jason asked.
"Oh yeah." Percy nodded.
"I'm good." Nico said.
"Come on, man." Percy said
"I'll join." Nico said with a smile. Jason and Percy grinned and nodded and ran off into the crowd.
"Seriously though dad, why don't you dance?" Nico asked
"I don't feel like it yet. Maybe when you join in, I'll come along." Hades shrugged
"Where are Poseidon and Zeus?" Nico asked in confusion as he looked around.
"Well, don't they seem to be enjoying." Hades said with a raised eyebrow and an exasperated sigh as he pointed to the two of them who were…well…flirting with the girls.
"Righttt." Nico said. "What about you?" he asked Hades.
"I'm married." Hades stated. Nico internally grinned.
"Ah right." He said with a nod.
"All right. I'm gonna go dance." Nico said some time (which included guys and girls asking Nico out) when Percy and Jason were gesturing for him to join "Wanna come?" He asked. Hades shrugged and got up.
"Guys. Eyes on your dads." Nico said quietly to Percy and Jason.
"We know what they're doing." Jason sighed. Percy shook his head and sighed as well.
"Thought that instead of staring weirdly we could just dance. Don't worry, we've told Hermes to keep an eye on them." Percy muttered to Nico who nodded.
The song Arms Around You came on after an hour or so and Jason and Percy groaned. Nico and Hades looked at them in amusement.
"I miss Annabeth." Percy muttered and just went and stood in front of the bar and ordered a Pepsi bottle. Jason joined him a few moments later. Nico and Hades were behind him and were chuckling.
"Jason misses Piper." Nico grinned
"Figured." Percy nodded.
"Percy and Annabeth love this song so much." Nico informed Hades.
"Well, that's nice. You dance to it?" he asked Percy
"Sometimes, yeah." Percy admitted
"Its something worth seeing, to be honest." Jason said.
"Thanks." Percy said
Nico checked his watch.
"Damnn. We've been here for almost three hours." Nico said. Everybody's eyebrows shot up.
"How many people crushed on you though?" Nico then teased Jason and Percy.
"Don't ask." Percy sighed.
"Red alert. Red alert." Percy said, shaking Jason. Jason saw what Percy was gesturing to and his grin slid from his face.
"I'll be back." Jason said, running to Hermes to tell him that they should probably go back now because things would go really bad if what was going on progressed and Hera found out because Zeus was about one step from having another huge fight with Hera about him cheating on her. Hermes nodded and went and did his thing. Jason sighed and went back to the bar and quickly ordered some cold water. Hades raised an eyebrow and gave a light chuckle.
"Wanted water?" Percy asked Jason with a raised eyebrow.
"Don't say it, Perce." Jason sighed
"I could've given you water but whatever." Percy said. Jason just sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He thanked the bartender for the water. Jason drank some water and splashed his own face with some of it.
"That's better." He stated
"Always is." Percy said, leaning against the bar.
"Weren't we going?" Nico asked
"Hmm yeah. Hermes is talking to dad though. Lets just wait for their conversation to get over." Percy said, drinking his pepsi. Percy had given a nod to Hermes as Poseidon seemed on red alert as well.
"How are you so relaxed about this?" Jason muttered to Percy
"Trick's to not freak out. Makes things worse." Percy answered simply. The guy could not look more relaxed, leaning against a bar and drinking his pepsi but honestly he was a bit worried.
"Five more minutes then." Hades shrugged and ordered a drink for himself as well.
Five minutes later, Hermes, Zeus and Poseidon came and joined them. Apollo came two minutes later.
"Party's gonna be till the evening." He informed
"I don't think that we can stay till then." Nico said, tapping his voice.
"True." Apollo admitted.
"Lets just go." Jason sighed.
"I saw a lot of girls and a few guys coming towards you guys." Apollo chuckled at Jason, Percy and Nico
"Can't help it. We're just that charming." Percy grinned
"Yeah but you just talked." Hermes nodded.
"Because we're taken, mate." Nico said with a chuckle
"Say that in a British accent." Apollo suggested. Nico repeated it in a british accent and everybody gave him an approving look.
"Well damn, that was an A grade." Percy said
"Mr. Nico di Angelo has passed the accent test with full marks!" Jason declared. Everybody laughed at that.
"So that didn't go well." Percy deadpanned as he collapsed on a couch in the secret hideout that Nico, Jason, Thalia and Percy had built. Well, one of them… This one's location was known by Hermes and Apollo as well. They had another hideout which only the four of them knew about.
"No shit, Sherlock." Nico sighed "I mean it didn't go well for you guys. I went great for me." Nico added
"Honestly, we need to figure something out." Jason cut in.
"Should we call Hermes and Apollo?" Percy asked "To discuss or something." He said
"Yeah. Most probably." Jason agreed. Nico called Hermes and Apollo who teleported to the hideout.
"So…I've told Aphrodite and Ares and they just kind of shook their heads." Hermes said with a bit of amusement.
"Not funny, Hermes. If things go as they are, then we're all going to be in trouble." Jason said.
"Yeah. We're going to have to get Aphrodite and Ares here then too." Hermes sighed
"I'll get them." Percy volunteered and disappeared into mist leaving behind a scent of sea breeze.
"How does he do that whole mist thing?" Jason shook his head in awe
"He's just learned it." Apollo chuckled.
"Yeah. Like the Underworld people have shadow travel, the sea ones have mist travel." Nico explained.
"And what about the air people?" Jason said
"You have airplane travel, no?" Nico said with a smirk. Jason threw a cushion at him. Hermes and Apollo laughed.
Percy teleported back with Aphrodite, Thalia and Ares who plopped down on the beanbags after looking at the place.
"Hazel?" Jason asked
"She's busy…" Percy sighed
"So what do we do?" Percy asked Aphrodite.
"Now that we know what we're dealing with, we can come up with the functions." Ares stated
"Right. So we're supposed to start from the point where they could cheat on their wives to the fact that they won't cheat at all. That's a complete 360 if I've ever heard one." Jason deadpanned
"That's not the case for me at least." Nico said
"Yes but the functions are going to be the same." Aphrodite told him.
"Right. We're going to have to figure something out. We didn't even tell Amphitrite or Hera yet and we aren't going to either. I don't even want to imagine how bad Amphitrite might feel." Percy said and then groaned.
"Ironic of me to say that." He added. Thalia chuckled dryly.
"I think she's about ready to adopt you. She technically already has." She said. Percy chuckled.
"Maybe we could do something from our dads' point of view." Percy said, sitting up.
"Uhh what?" Hermes asked
"He means that you do something that our fathers would have done to the ladies." Apollo explained.
"Yep. Maybe we have a party kind of, y'know. Like. It starts off with the concert in which we kind of sing or something from our dads' pov and style and then later on it could turn into a party? And for the songs, they could be any sort of relationship songs and everybody watching or dancing could tell us the songs too?" Percy suggested
"I can imagine that. It would be pretty good. It's a party and I think that it would give the six of them a good wave of nostalgia." Hermes said thoughtfully.
"So we could even look like them." Nico added
"You three already do." Apollo pointed out "And sound exactly like them so its going to be even better." He said
"We're clean shaven though." Jason said
"Grow a beard then." Thalia said "Like the stubble like our dads have." He said
"Right." Nico said with a slight grumble.
"Hey. At least you're going to have increase your height that day." Jason said. Nico grinned at that.
"Forgot about that." He said
"Right. Lets keep this as a surprise. Wanna prank Annabeth." Percy grinned. Thalia snickered.
"This is going to be fun." She said
"I think the behind the scenes is going to be real fun as well. We could have Rachel help us out with it." Jason said "If they want, of course." He said
"She wouldn't have a problem." Nico chuckled and gave a call to her.
"Told ya." He said as he cut the call.
"Where do we do all the rehearsals and all then?" Jason asked
"We have a place." Ares, Apollo and Hermes said unison.
"Common place?" Jason asked.
"Yeah." Ares, Apollo and Hermes nodded with a small smile, remembering when they all used to hand out there. Maybe it had been too long since they'd acted like brothers to each other.
"That's cool." Percy said with a smile and got up.
"So we can just make a stubble appear?" Jason asked
"Yes. You should probably keep it on for a few days to get used to it. Don't worry, you'll look exactly the same even after you've removed it. Nobody will be able to tell that you even had a stubble." Hermes said
"That's good." Nico said. He closed his eyes and pictured facial hair similar to his father's. The three of them didn't have to change anything except add on the facial hair because they already looked and sounded like their fathers. Nico opened his eyes and touched his cheeks and chin and he started scratching the hair. Nico had increased his height as well to about a bit more than 6 and a half feet. Hey, his dad was tall.
"This is soo weird. I don't like it." He said. Jason and Percy opened their eyes with stubbles appearing on their faces as well and their tattoos turning invisible and even they went cross eyed to look at it. The others stared at them open mouthed.
"What the-" Ares asked with wide eyes.
"What?" The three of them asked in unison.
"Stand together." Hermes said
"Why?" Percy asked.
"Just do it." Hermes requested. The three of them sighed and stood together and slung their hands around each other's shoulders for the picture. Apollo looked like he was going to pull a Triton and pass out at how the three demi youngers looked. There was absolutely not a single hair or a single note in their voice that could tell them apart from their big three parents.
"Look at this." Hermes said, showing the three of them the picture.
"Holy-" The three of them said in unison.
"Oh, Annabeth's going to freak." Thalia grinned at Percy. "In fact, Will and Piper are going to freak as well." She said.
"That's going to be quite funny, if I'm being honest here." Nico said with a snicker.
"I am not so sure." Jason chuckled.
"Lets go." Apollo managed and once they stepped out from the room, the room locked and turned invisible.
"That's amazing." Ares said, impressed.
"Thank you." Hermes said with a bow which made everybody laugh.
"I'll make the announcement of the function to the others." Aphrodite said with a glint in her eyes.
"I'm gonna go scare the crap out of Triton." Percy said with a mischievous grin and mist travelled, leaving everybody chuckling. Triton was sitting on the beach with his legs (his merman tail was only when he was completely underwater) in the water.
"BOO!" Percy shouted and tackled Triton from behind.
"What the fuck?" Triton managed in surprise. "Wait. Dad?" Triton asked. Percy just decided to play along.
"Yeah." He said.
"Oh." Triton said "Are you okay?" he asked. Percy burst out laughing, not able to hold it in any longer. Triton's face was priceless.
"Its me, man. Percy." Percy said.
"Now I really really mean, what the fuck?" Triton asked in shock.
"Just grew a stubble." Percy said
"You did just that and you look exactly like dad. Wow." Triton shook his head. "This is so weird." He said "And cool." He added. Percy nodded.
An hour later, Aphrodite called Percy because they were all setting up the place. Percy teleported there and dam, wasn't it a whole party for the planners. Apollo, Hermes and Ares had got three large speakers outside and had put on some pretty awesome songs. The day was windy and it had gotten dark which just added to the mood.
"So we start with the lanterns." Katie instructed and then jumped a little when she saw Percy, Jason and Nico.
"Surprised anybody yet?" Nico asked his cousins who shook their heads.
"Only Triton." Percy said "He's not going to say a word." He said with a grin. Everybody chuckled. Rachel's jaw hit the ground as she looked at the three of them.
"Damnn." She said.
"Exactly!" Apollo said in the distance. Everybody laughed and chuckled. Everybody vibed to the songs and put the lanterns on.
Rachel had started recording and all. The others had just started getting all goofy and enjoying. Percy and Nico had wrapped a bunch of fake vines around their shoulders and their hair had gotten wild because of the wind. Rachel turned the camera on them
"What are you doing?" She asked with a grin.
"Party time!" Percy shouted with a grin and did a backflip.
"You look high." Rachel snickered
"I do? The wind's good. Makes you feel good. And hey, function at our home." Percy grinned.
"Heck, why not." Rachel shrugged, gave the camera to Jason, grabbed a fake vine and wrapped it around her shoulders as well.
"Well, they're crazy. Moving on." Jason said from behind the camera and walked around.
Eventually, they had finished setting up the place. Nobody came to this place but they still used the access card to lock it. Apollo, Ares, Aphrodite and Hermes helped Percy, Jason and Nico make their stubbles invisible so it would be a surprise to their families.
Percy kept his finger to his lips at Triton with a grin as he walked inside which left the other members of the sea crew to wonder what it meant. He grimaced a little at seeing his dad and Amphitrite but wished them a good night.
"Looking forward to the function tomorrow. Wonder what you all have planned." Amphitrite said with a smile to Percy.
"Should be fun." Triton said "Though even I don't know what's up. Only some of it." He said with a snicker as he looked at Percy who grinned at him.
"Yeah. You guys should enjoy it. Hopefully." Percy said to the sea gang.
"Its in the evening right?" Poseidon asked. Percy nodded.
"Yep. 5pm onwards. Sets the mood in the night and evening." Percy said.
"Agreed." Poseidon nodded with a chuckle. They said their good nights and went to their rooms to rest for the night.
There was barely any rehearsal to be done. Nico, Jason and Percy had a great stage presence and they'd done one song for practice to see how easy it was to go into the big three's point of view which proved to be extremely easy for the three younger gods. Hence, the function would take place tomorrow.
Nico, stood knocking at Percy's door along with Jason and Thalia. Poseidon opened the door and raised an eyebrow and they came inside.
"Is it on soundproof lock? His door?" Nico asked Poseidon who nodded. Nico and Thalia grinned at each other.
"Guys-" Jason started but Nico and Thalia had already taken off to the soundproof lock and deactivated it. They conjured a microphone and did the most cousin thing that they could do.
"JACKSON!" They yelled into the microphone. Then they heard the sound of a body falling on the floor which was Percy falling off the bed and a groan.
"Screw you guys." Percy grumbled as he came outside with messed up hair.
"Hey, I tried to stop them." Jason said but even he was grinning.
"You okay, Perce?" Nico teased. Percy held up the three fingered okay sign before he closed his ring and little finger and flipped off Nico and Thalia who burst out laughing.
"Good morning to you too." Nico choked out.
"Such a pleasant way to start off the morning." Thalia continued.
"Glad you find the company of my middle finger enjoyable." Percy responded which just increased the laughter.
"Anyways, Aphrodite and all are calling us." Jason said.
"Right. Lemme brush." Percy sighed.
The planning gang had a good recap session and some final touches and just a song or two to just check out the way the three of them were able to do the POV's which were amazingly convincing.
"Honestly, this is going to be fun." Jason stated. Everybody nodded in agreement.
"I'm laughing internally at the reactions that they're going to have." Ares chuckled.
"Ah. You laugh." Percy said to him with a raised eyebrow and a tease tone.
"I do not." Ares played along. Everybody snickered.
They had a quick brush up and joined everybody in the dining hall for a brunch. Evening came before they knew it and Percy claimed that he had nothing to do with it.
Percy, Jason and Nico had disappeared into their quarters and then occupied the Hades quarters to get ready. Jason had put on a light blue shirt with white shorts and a watch of the same colors and white shoes. Percy had gone with a Hawaiian beach shirt, khaki shorts, blue shoes and a blue watch. Nico, of course, had gone with black shirts, black 3/4ths and black shoes and black watch. He'd tied his hair back in a ponytail like normal. Nico put on another black ring on his ring finger.
"Wow. We look like our dads." Nico stated with a slight cheeky tone as the three of them looked in the mirror.
"When they were younger." Percy said
"They were in a stomach." Nico deadpanned
"I meant when they looked 18." Percy rolled his eyes.
"I have loved you since we were 18!" Jason shouted not trying to sound good as he sang. Nico smacked him upside the head in a friendly manner and the three of them burst out laughing.
"Should we take our guitars?" Percy asked Nico
"Couldn't hurt but I don't think we're going to need them much. We could just make them appear if we needed them." Nico replied. Percy nodded in agreement and shrugged.
The three of them just waited for Apollo and Hermes to inform them when the function started. They came about 15 minutes later.
"All ready." Hermes grinned.
"Lit." Jason said.
"Should we just teleport behind the stage?" Nico asked. Apollo nodded. The five of them teleported right behind the stage as discussed of course.
"Right. Let us just make the announcement and you guys can come on." Apollo told them. The three nodded. Hermes and Apollo grinned and went on to the stage.
"Soo, ladies and gentlemen…" Apollo started
"Gods and goddesses." Hermes continued.
"Maybe you should all get ready for a wave of nostalgia!" Apollo announced
"Or a lightning bolt." Hermes added
"Or shadow, perhaps. If that makes sense." Apollo grinned. There was some laughter and chuckles.
Percy, Jason and Nico chuckled behind the stage as well. They'd all decided to communicate with mental messages to keep the sync as a safe bet. Once they got the mental message from Hermes that they could come on now they looked at each other and exhaled.
"Well damn." Nico said.
"Motto of our lives." Percy agreed. The three of them snickered and then put on a straight face while their ribs cracked with the withheld laughter.
The three of them ran out from behind the stage right on to it with front flips in unison and grinned. They could visibly see some people's mouths drop open and a few people actually turned around to see if the big three were still there and almost passed out as they saw that they were.
Percy switched on his mic and chuckled while Nico and Jason grinned as well.
"Funny, isn't it?" Percy said with a small smile "Trust us, we couldn't believe it either. The whole beard part really is the deal sealer." He said. Chuckles rose from the crowd.
"But anyways, this is going to be pretty much a blast to the past about your love and romance lives." Jason said, looking at the big three and their spouses who nodded and sighed.
"So this is how it works. We're going to start off and all of you are going to have to suggest some songs. Any relationship song works." Nico announced to the demi youngers who had now chosen to call themselves House of Heroes and the Olympian gods who nodded.
The music to One Thing by One Direction started and three of them immediately went into character and bounced a little on leg.
"I've tried playing it cool, girl when I'm looking at you." Percy started, coming front with a small smirk
"I can't ever be brave. 'Cause you make my heart race." Nico said, keeping a hand on his heart
"Shot me out of the sky. You're my kryptonite." Jason continued with a small very Zeus smirk as he stepped forward. The others just sort of looked at them in shock. The reality of how similar they looked to their parents and how similar they sounded never really struck them enough and now it was literally as if the big three were performing.
Soon Castor suggested the song Escape by Enrique Iglesias to Hermes who sent across a message to Percy, Jason and Nico. The three jumped with their fingers pointing at the audience. Soon the songs, went from Escape to What Makes You Beautiful to Rain Over Me when Jason actually made it rain over Percy, Jason and Nico and during which the three boys had ended up opening the buttons of their shirts which had just left them to look like they were at a beach which actually matched the setting quite well because the sun had started to set as well. Their hair was dripping with water due to the rain that Jason had created. The others just couldn't help but keep looking behind to see the spot the differences between the big three and their kids and they literally couldn't find one.
When they got to Steal My Girl, Percy and Jason couldn't help but give the barest of smiles as they thought about how the start lyrics were quite similar to their girlfriends but it went well with the mood. The audience had gotten up and started partying by then and soon they would start the DJ music.
After Steal My Girl they literally went on to Pillowtalk by Zayn which was suggested by a smirking and chuckling Leo. The three pulled it off completely flawlessly and it actually was pretty amazing because it was completely evening by now and Jason had created a bit of a drizzle and Percy had increased the tides. Nico had kept shadows deep yet light at the time. The stars were visible but it was a dark night.
By the time everybody had gone into party mood and started taking the drinks, the three took a bow and jumped off the stage with their stubbles disappearing as they gave a kiss to their partners. The performance certainly did have an effect because the three could see their fathers looking…like looking at their spouses.
Aphrodite, Ares, Hermes, Rachel and Apollo beamed at Percy, Nico and Jason who fist bumped each other and the five of them.
That night proved to be quite traumatizing for the big three kids because they were too sleepy to switch on the soundproof and that proved to be quite the mistake as they heard things that they never wanted to in their lives. They spent whatever time was left in the Apollo and Hermes quarters where the two gods had laughed their heads off when the younger gods told them what happened.
