A/N - I'm backkk. Here's a whooping 12k+ words. The reading continues from the next chapter.
"There is no way any of us have such voice tricks." Poseidon protested talking about himself, Zeus and Hades as Aphrodite pointed out that having the same voice, if Percy, Nico and Jason can sing that well then so can they. The said three younger gods hadn't got up yet and nor had Apollo or Hermes or Rachel. Nobody could blame them for being that tired.
"I mean, I can sing quite well." Hades shrugged
"Lucky you then." Poseidon said dryly
"You just have to try." Demeter said in between.
The younger gods all woke up in another fifteen minutes and the whole discussion was still going on when they came out rubbing their eyes and they seemed to have their own conversation as they walked towards the others.
"I brushed, took a shower and I still feel like a dead man walking." Nico grumbled.
"You always feel like a dead man walking." Percy said and then yawned. "I wanna sleep." He said.
"I told you so." Nico sighed and yawned.
"Coffee?" Ares called out to them
"Yes please." Came the content groans from the six as they crashed on to the chairs and rested their heads on the back.
"Well, you guys are tired." Zeus commented
"We stayed up till 4am every day for a week without resting in the rest of the day. So yes." Jason said and groaned as he closed his eyes.
"Wake up, Jason." Percy sighed
"Here you go." Ares said, setting the coffee mugs on the table "Aunt H made them." He added
"Of course she did." Nico said and picked up a mug.
"You guys were seriously amazing yesterday." Amphitrite said.
"Thanks." Percy smiled. Triton grinned at Percy which immediately made the younger god realize that something was up.
"Speaking of being tired, it was kind of weird not finding you guys in bed with a note saying that you were in the Apollo and Hermes quarters." Triton said nonchalantly and smoothly.
"Oh yeah. About that." Persephone looked at Nico, Percy and Jason
"Yeah. About that. Well, we decided that we should probably sleep in the Apollo and Hermes quarters for more planning and stuff." Nico said smoothly even though that was not the reason at all. Triton raised an eyebrow and winked at Nico as he leaned behind Persephone's back who was nodding.
"Well, anyways. We have work to do." Jason said as he got up. The other five nodded to everybody with a smile and they retreated to their planning place. Thalia, Ares and Aphrodite got up and joined them as well.
"Well, aren't they some busy and hardworking people." Demeter remarked.
"They certainly are." Chiron said with a small smile.
"So now that we know that there is some progress, we need to come up with another function idea." Nico stated.
"Well, you guys did real well to be honest." Thalia said
"Thanks sis." Jason smiled.
"Look at this point we know that they are starting to have some old feelings return, we don't know if they will still act around their spouses as loyally once their old mistresses are in front of them." Aphrodite stated
"If you're suggesting that we somehow get their mistresses on Olympus then that is not possible." Apollo replied
"He's right. And even if we wanted to, we couldn't. Only Aunt S is alive." Jason stated with a poker face
"But maybe we could use dreams." Aphrodite suggested
"Not at all. That's manipulative and kind of cruel. I don't think its about reigniting their memories for their old lovers but about making them fall in love with their spouses again. By manipulating their dreams, we're manipulating them by making them go back and not move forward. We are in no way doing that." Percy said sternly. The younger god had been quiet since they started, listening to what Aphrodite suggested but he wasn't going to let this idea be implemented.
"He's right. We can't do this. It's not a good idea and I agree with his reasoning." Hermes said. Aphrodite opened her mouth to speak but closed it and nodded.
"All right then." She said
"So now what?" Thalia asked. They all thought in silence.
"Maybe a show. Each one representing how they first met or fell in love?" Apollo suggested
"How will we find out about such ancient events?" Jason asked, tilting his head
"What do you have a god of time for then?" Percy said, brushing his pants as stood up. Everybody grinned.
"Wait, you can seriously tap into the past?" Hermes asked in surprise
"Yeah. Apparently. Discovered it when I was focusing on something while talking to Clarisse and randomly shot back to a time when Ares and Aphrodite got together." Percy said "Lets not even go there." He shook his head. Everybody burst out laughing while Ares and Aphrodite grinned sheepishly.
"Here's to some moments I wish I probably didn't see." Percy said as he settled down on the beach sand while the others sat around him. Percy closed his eyes and Nico and Jason looked amused.
"He looks like Doctor Strange just without the whole green thing going on." Jason commented.
"I heard that." Percy said and then a small smirk appeared on his face as sea green vapor surrounded him.
"I shall take that back." Jason said solemly
"Okay, so I'm able to see the scenes. I remember Mr.D telling me that there is some way that I can capture them so I'm going to do that for reference." Percy said, eyes still closed and the focus lines still on his forehead.
"I'll do Hades and Persephone first." Percy stated.
"So, the main thing is there when the kidnapping happened." Percy said.
"Then Persephone falls in love after all the difficulties." Percy summarized. Nico chuckled and noted it down.
"We already know how they fell in love to be honest." Jason said with a slight smile.
"Very romantic." Percy said with a smile. He told them the rest of the story and then once he was done he swore.
"I just reached a not PG-13 scene. Help." He squeaked. Everybody burst out laughing. Percy opened his eyes and shook his head.
"Shut up." He said which just increased the laughter and Percy soon joined in.
"By the way, I've captured the scenes." He said. Everybody nodded.
"I have an idea for these two. So we can make a video out of these and show it in a similar surrounding with like a virtual screen kind of 3D surroundings and it could be a 4D show so that they can experience it again." Nico stated with a pencil between his teeth. Everybody nodded in agreement.
They carried on for some time as they figured out the exact scenes. Poor Percy had a traumatic experience visiting his dad's love life but they had no other choice and desperate times call for desperate measures. He knew for sure that no kid knew about their parents' love life as much as him and his friends. Dam.
Once they were all done, they sent out the message of the event being the next day and in the meantime the elder gods were asked to spend time with their spouses in a special place so of course for the sea couple, the place was the water of the beach, for the sky couple it was the rooftop of the highest building of Olympus and for the Underworld couple it was a garden. For once, there were no arguments on what one might call a date.
It was as if the planners were sort of like the game makers from hunger games or like people who did everything behind the scenes kind of like masterminds except that they were doing something good and not planning a robbery or a death match.
"How are you doing?" Percy asked Poseidon as he ran into his father.
"Depends on what way you're asking." Poseidon said amusedly.
"Any way. Is the answer different?" Percy asked with raised eyebrows.
"Not really, no. I feel great." Poseidon said with a smile.
"Well, that's great. I think I already know the reason why but I'm still going to ask. What makes you so happy dad?" Percy chuckled.
"Things are going well with Amphitrite just like the earlier times. Its been ages since things went this smoothly." Poseidon sighed.
"That's good. That's good. So you're love's been reignited?" Percy asked, feeling uncomfortable even talking about this but that was his dam job at the moment. Dear gods.
"You could say." Poseidon answered with a grin.
"Good to know. Really." Percy grinned back and fist bumped his dad and went and dove right into the beach water for a swim. Poseidon chuckled as he watched his son swim. He really did owe a lot to everybody planning what they were doing. He knew that all six of them felt that way. It had been eons since they had been more than just a married couple and fallen this deep in love. It felt good if he was being honest and he blamed himself for why it went wrong and he knew so did his brothers whether or not they would admit it to anybody or even to themselves.
This whole incident was not only bringing them closer to their spouses but also to each other. It had been millennia since the three had actually felt like brothers and actually talked without starting tsunamis or crashing planes or causing an earthquake in Los Angeles. Instead of feeling like three different kings, they had started to actually feel like brothers. Their kids got along so well that they would be ready to give their lives for each other without even a second thought. It was quite interesting but as the others had pointed out multiple times that their children were quite like how they used to be before all the rivalry had come into play and they had drifted apart.
Every time Poseidon had seen their children interact like he and his brothers used to, he used to feel a pang of nostalgia hit him. It was something that they all wished they could go back to without any of the grudges and any of the pain.
And now every time he even saw Percy and Annabeth interact, he would miss how he and Amphitrite had used to be. This reading gave them a second chance and mending many relationships that had got lost to time and he wasn't going to let go of this chance he had. None of them were. They were going to live like they hadn't in the longest time he remembered.
The planners sat in the area that they had chosen for the show. Hermes had enlisted the help of the Stolls and the Apollo kids who worked on the videos while the others worked on the setting up of the screens and atmosphere. It took them several hours to come up with the perfect songs and setting. They were awake almost the whole night as they did all the editing and finished with the screens and atmosphere. It wasn't even that they wanted to sleep because all of them were enjoying this as well as spending time with each other and getting closer. By then end of the day, Ares and Percy were literally walking with hands slung around each other's shoulders talking like best buddies.
They all went and collapsed on the mattresses and beds in the Apollo, Ares and Hermes quarters which were currently joined and everybody was snoring in less than 5 minutes.
The next day, there was a rush among the planners. They tested everything out and made some last minute changes. Rachel recorded them and all the crazy things that they were doing such as Nico and Hermes had got Percy high on vodka and Percy was totally out of sorts and had started dancing around a pole which made everybody laugh till their stomachs hurt and they still didn't stop. By the time they were breathless, Percy passed out.
"You guys are something else." Jason shook his head but even he looked amused but bad for Percy nonetheless. Percy woke up in an hour and grumbled when he found out what had happened.
"You just asked for revenge." He said to Nico pointing a chip at him threateningly.
"Looking forward to it." Nico smirked.
"First we've got a function to host." Aphrodite stated. Everybody nodded and soon evening fell. The couples arrived just on time and were guided by the planners into their respective areas for their shows.
HADES AND PERSEPHONE
Hades thought that it was rather beautiful what the planners had done. The amount of reminisce that he felt from just one video was marvelous and extraordinary and it told him one thing for certain that he could love no other like he did Persephone.
He and her had watery eyes halfway through. Their eyes were glued to the screens but their hands had found each other till then. Hades was aware of his heart beating faster than it had in a long time and nothing felt better than that to him.
There were certain moments that they both chuckled and laughed but it was good natured and he knew that they both felt that all they wanted to do was go back to that time but they knew that they couldn't do that. However they knew that they could bring it all back and that was exactly what they were going to do.
The planners were not spying or looking at how it was going inside. They felt that it was all too private for them to intrude on with even the slightest action even if it was just looking but they felt that even that was too intrusive. They had chosen specific scenes that showed just how beautiful each relationship was. All of them had actually felt emotional while they edited and set this up because it hurt their heart to see what it used to be and what it had turned into. It just increased their determination to make it even more special than ever.
Once the couples came out, Percy and Nico were playing a soft melody on their guitar and stopped once they came outside. They went and smiled but nobody said anything. Everybody could see that all the couples were lost in the memories and they could all see the determination on their faces to bring back what was lost.
The next 2 months were spent without any function at all. The planners had started noting down details for the wedding. The big day came after three months when everybody was extremely sure that the couples were head over in heels love, even more than the past. The planners received huge praises.
"We did nothing. They love each other and nothing beats that. All we did was give a nudge. It was all upto them and that's what made them stronger." Percy said to the camera when Rachel asked him how he felt about it all.
"He's right. It was all them." Apollo said to the camera as well.
One day, the planners approached the spouses and told them that there had to be a formal proposal. Like the whole getting down on one knee thing.
"We need rings." Rachel said, bouncing.
"You bet." Percy said.
"I will make the final rings so they are special." Tyson said. Everybody agreed that the final rings should be the best ones and if Tyson made the proposal rings too then everybody would expect the best rings ever so they went to the ring shop for the proposal rings along with their parents.
"Dad, I think this one is the best one." Thalia suggested as she pointed to a silver ring with flakes of gold and a diamond.
"Agreed. Matches Hera." Jason nodded.
"Hmm. I think its good." Hazel says as she leans over to see it.
"Right." Zeus nodded.
"Fuckkk. This is good." Percy grinned as he points to one with a blue sapphire which seems to glow in an aquamarine shade.
"Language son." Poseidon chuckled. Everybody laughed.
"Such a beautiful and creative way to express admiration." Triton commented.
"Eh. Not really that creative." Percy shrugs with a smirk. Triton chuckled.
"It is quite good." He said. Poseidon nodded in agreement. Hades on the other hand didn't need much help picking out a ring, being the god of jewels.
"This one." The Underworld gang said in unison as they gestured to a ruby ring and they grinned.
"Well that was quick." Percy smiled. The shopkeeper chuckled as well as he pulled out the three chosen rings.
"We'll buy them." Nico said as Percy, Nico and Jason walked up to the shopkeeper.
"Well, then there is a special discount." The shopkeeper, Ethan, smiled.
"Huh?" Jason asked with raised eyebrows.
"As in. It's for free for you all. Its just the least that I could do for an event as big as this." Ethan said, rubbing the back of his neck shyly.
"Are you sure?" Hazel asked.
"Of course." Ethan smiled.
Percy looked a little uncomfortable like he always did when people would say its free.
"All right." He smiled finally. As he took the rings he kept 50 drachmas on the counter. Ethan's eyes went wide.
"But its free." He said
"It's a tip, mate." Percy smiled "For your service.". Ethan smiled widely.
"I certainly have heard right about you all." He said. The members of the house of heroes smiled while their parents looked proud.
"Okay. So rings. Check." Hazel said, ticking off the rings box. She had prepared a list being the organized person that she was.
"What next?" Jason asked
"I believe those would be the decorations." Nico said amusedly
"And the tuxes." Percy added
"But don't they come after the proposal?" Thalia asked
"We need them for the proposal too." Percy reminded her
"Hmm. I'd say that depends on what clothes they want to propose in. The ring's the main thing to be honest." Thalia said.
"True. What do you guys want to propose in and how?" Triton asked the big three
"Uhh." The three of them said in unison and their kids face palmed.
"Right. So without decorations and tuxes it would seem more natural." Thalia summarized
"That would be better, I believe." Hades nodded. The other two look like they agreed.
"Well then. It has been decided. Here are the respective rings. All the best." Nico grinned and everybody walked to their quarters. The planners just went to the Apollo and Hermes quarters and collapsed on the beds for some rest.
In the meantime, the big three searched for their spouses.
HERA AND ZEUS
Zeus found Hera in a thick garden area. He smiled and walked toward her. She turned and smiled at him. It was quite amazing to have her smile at him instead of scowl at him after millennia. He wished that it had always been like that but then again he hadn't exactly given her too many reasons to smile at him.
"Hey." He said as he sat down beside her.
"Hi." Hera replied.
"What are you doing here?" Zeus asked her casually
"Just missed the fountain." Hera answered with a small smile. Zeus followed her gaze and saw the fountain that the two of them had had Hephaestus make to commemorate them together.
"Its beautiful really." He said. Hera nodded in agreement.
"I wanted to ask you something." Zeus said, his nervousness returning. Hera raised an eyebrow questioningly.
"Are you happy? With me?" he asked. Hera looked taken aback by this question. After all he hadn't asked her that in ages.
"Yes. Yes, of course. You're my husband, are you not? And yes, I do love you." Hera answered. Zeus felt a sense of relief wash over him.
"I know I haven't been the best husband but give me a chance to change myself. A chance to show you that I truly do love you and that I always have. Please make me the happiest god in the world and marry me." Zeus said as he got down on one knee, holding the ring and looking up at Hera who looked shocked. Her eyes were a little watery but she nodded.
"Yes." She said. Zeus grinned and joined Hera back on the bench and well…
Apollo's door was bombarded with doorbell noises which of course resonated to the entire Hermes and Ares quarters due to being connected and there were the sounds of multiple groans and few thuds indicating that some people fell off the bed. Nico rolled out of bed, his head messy. His hair was stuck up in multiple places which made it look like a bird's nest. He opened the door to see the big three standing there.
"What happened?" he asked sleepily and in half a growl. He hated waking up in the middle of his sleep.
Hades looked amused and Poseidon and Zeus looked at each other with raised eyebrows. He really was Hades' kid by looks and actions.
"They said yes." Hades explained. Nico's sleepiness went away in a second.
"WAKE UP!" he shouted in the quarters
"DEATH BOY!" Came the scream of a very angry hunter named Thalia.
"What the actual fuck? I was freaking sleeping. You're going to give me a bloody heart attack." She said as she stormed angrily towards him with her crackling with electricity.
"Chill out, Pikachu. They said yes." Nico explained.
"Who the fuck said yes?" Thalia asked, her brain still not completely awake.
"Bruh. Hera, Persephone and Amphitrite." Nico said.
"Oh. Oh. Right." Thalia said and then turned around and saw the big three for the first time who looked about ready to burst out laughing.
"Sorry." She mumbled.
"Why do you hate me so much, Duskull?" Percy grumbled as he came at the door.
"Y'know. I cannot keep telling this to every single person." Nico groaned.
"THEY SAID YES!" he shouted in the quarters. There was a second of silence before everybody could process what happened and then the quarters filled with cheers that could rival the dauntless…well maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration. No cheers could rival the dauntless.
"Time to plan a wedding then." Hermes said with a wide grin.
The big three, Nico, Jason, Will, Percy, Hermes, Apollo and Ares went to the tuxedo shop while the ladies went to shop for wedding dresses. Thalia had come with them because she was never going to wear a bridal dress unless it was for Annabeth's wedding and even then she would contemplate it. No guarantees. She was just going to wear a tuxedo because why not. Annabeth had gone instead of Thalia but she wasn't too happy to hang out with Hera. Thalia had been asked to be the bridesmaid but she had politely said that she had to mostly work behind the scenes.
"What about blue?" Triton asked Percy, Poseidon and Tyson
"Dark blue." Tyson said. Percy nodded in agreement.
"What do you think, dad?" he asked
"Hmm. Gray isn't my thing. Blue's good." He said
"That's good then. Lets try them out then." Triton said. The four of them searched the row of the blue tuxedo sets and picked out their sizes. Percy's tux size was literally one size bigger than Poseidon and Tyson's was another size bigger as he was a cyclops.
"How tall are you guys?" Triton said in amazement to them
"I'm a cyclops." Tyson shrugged with a toothy grin
"I'm just 6'7, dude. Height did increase after turning into a god though." Percy said
"Just?" Triton shook his head "You're taller than me and 2 inches more than dad. That's all there is to notice." He pouted. Percy grinned and laughed.
"Short gang. #YouandNico." Percy grinned.
"I HEARD THAT!" Nico's voice came from the other side of the shop. Everybody burst out laughing.
"Glad you didn't add me in it." Poseidon said. Percy grinned. "Missed the chance."
"Lets try these out." Poseidon chuckled in amusement. The four of them went into separate trial rooms and came out 5 minutes later. Percy and Poseidon looked exactly the same except for the obvious differences such as the facial hair and the height.
"Damn. You look good." Triton said to the two of them.
"So do you." Percy said to Triton and then grinned at Tyson.
"You should wear suits more often, brother." Percy said to him. Tyson grinned widely at him.
"I think that too." He said
"This looks perfect, dad." Triton said to Poseidon. The other nodded with warm smiles. Poseidon grinned.
"I agree." He said. The others chuckled.
THE SKY GANG
"Crème" Zeus picked.
"Crème." Jason and Thalia confirmed
"That is perfect." Hermes and Apollo nodded.
"I mean, not my favorite color but the best tux choice at the moment." Ares shrugged.
Zeus had the best men but then again, he also had the most number of children present there. He had asked Dionysus as well but he said that he was going to be in charge of the drinks and help in the seating. Zeus had a feeling that it was mostly to avoid spending time with Hera due to old rivalries. He had asked Hephaestus but even the blacksmith god had said that he wanted to mostly work behind the scenes. Zeus had planned to talk to him and Dionysus after the wedding.
They all tried the suit on and it came out perfect as well. The tux was crème while the shirt was white with black pants and a black bow. Thalia had decided on crème pants instead of black because she felt that crème suited her better.
HADES, WILL AND NICO
"Black?" Hades said
"Definitely." Nico nodded. Will nodded as well. Hades, Nico and Will high fived and took their respective suit sizes. Hades had chosen Will to be his second best man as he was quite fond of the god of the heart and so was Persephone and he'd started feeling just like a part of the family to them. Hades and Persephone were just placing bets on the marriage date now. He was pretty sure that Poseidon and Amphitrite were doing the same for Percy and Annabeth.
"Absolutely wonderful." Will said as the three of them tried it out.
"Best color ever." Hades nodded.
Nico, Will and Hades clicked a selfie while the other gangs did the same.
"Memories for life." Nico said with a smile.
"Indeed." Hades said returning it.
"You nervous?" Nico asked Hades
"More than ever before. Perhaps as much as the first time me and Persephone got married." He answered
"Beautiful." Nico said
Once they were done with the tux shopping, everybody had decided to go out for some food because it was supper time. Most of the time was the younger generation of gods talking to their uncles and learning more about them and they all had some good laughs with absolutely good natured conversation.
"Please tell me that we're having a bachelor trip." Hermes said to the three elder gods.
"Fuck yeah!" Ares shouted with a beer bottle in his hand with a grin.
"Just voiced our thoughts, mate." Nico said as he shook hands with Ares. Will chuckled and everybody else laughed.
"Hmm. A bachelor trip…maybe we could have a bachelor day instead." Poseidon suggested
"Sure." Apollo said with a grin.
"Then…tomorrow?" Hades asked. Everybody nodded.
"You wanna come with us, Thals or go with Hera and all?" Percy asked.
"Well…I'll come with you guys only if you want me there because like you said it's a bachelor trip." Thalia said
"Oh come on now. You're as much as a bachelor as we are. So its your choice." Percy said with a grin.
"Then I prefer to hang out with you guys." Thalia grinned mischievously. Everybody cheered.
"Well then, that's set." Zeus said.
The next day, the ones going on the bachelor day got ready and so did the ladies for their own day.
THE LADIES DAY
"Well, this is going to be fun." Hazel said with a smile. Annabeth was still not too happy to be here but at least Amphitrite was here. Annabeth had near begged Rachel to come. The oracle was reluctant at first but due to much badgering she had agreed to come or rather she didn't want Annabeth to be all too miserable on the trip. Rachel knew that Annabeth got along great with Amphitrite and she liked Persephone but Annabeth and Hera didn't have the best track record so that was another one of the reasons that Rachel was going. To maintain peace.
Annabeth whistled and a limousine raced out of nowhere. The driver was no other than Leo. The guy was ecstatic as soon as he heard the offer of driving a limo. Now she was concerned that Leo was going to break the speedometer but at least nothing dangerous for them anymore.
"Got drinks in the back, ladies." Leo said with a grin putting his sunglasses a little down and peeking from above them. "Enjoy." He said as he put them back with that same grin.
"He's only here because of the limo isn't he?" Hera asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes." Hazel said with a fond chuckle.
"I wonder what drinks." Rachel said "I'm pretty sure I'm going to need them." She muttered under her breath. Annabeth heard it and snorted.
"What?" Amphitrite asked amusedly.
"Nothing." Annabeth said quickly. Amphitrite chuckled and the ladies climbed in the back. Hera, Amphitrite and Persephone grabbed wine. Rachel grabbed the Red Bull.
"This should do." She said with a grin.
"Pass me the Monster." Annabeth sighed. Hazel innocently just took the Pepsi.
Leo, had his own party going on in the front. He had music blasting and the divider was soundproof so all the more better. Then he had some mountain dew with him as he drove around Olympus. He never knew it was that much fun to be a limo driver. Especially in his own customized limo.
He couldn't hear anything the ladies were saying behind but he did seem them laugh and talk when they would get out so he assumed that things were going well.
The whole day spend ended at around 6pm and Leo was kind of glad for that because he was tired. He saw the ones gone of the bachelor trip come back at around the same time as well. He hopped out of the limousine and went and gave Percy their own handshake and fist bump.
"The coolest limo driver ever!" Percy hooted. Leo laughed and grinned.
"Well, I got to go. Can't leave them stranded. Won't really be stranded but like-" Leo said. Everybody laughed and he winked and went back to the limo.
After everybody freshened up, the planners went to the workshop where Tyson had started a sketch of the rings so that they could decide on the designs. The three couples had left the designs upto the planners because even they wanted to be surprised and Tyson wanted to give it to them as a gift.
Tyson had come up with three designs. One for each couple and he showed them to the planners. Tyson explained the ring designs because they were just looking at the picture.
"For Amphitrite, I thought that I could make a copper color ring with touches of blue in the band which would make it look like flowing water. The ring could turn into a wave pattern when Amphitrite enters Atlantis. The jewel could consist of the water swirling inside a blue translucent sapphire. So if anybody would look on it from outside then it would look like water swirling inside the jewel which is like her. The sapphire would have some pearls and the copper color around it which makes it look like a crown as well." Tyson said with a wide grin.
"That sounds amazing." Triton said
"I know right." Percy grinned.
"For daddy, I was thinking a copper band but it looks like a ring made out of water. Once he enters the ocean then it would be translucent and would like it was swirling around his finger. It would start flowing like waves. The copper would only be there for support on land but it would still look like a ring made out water however in the sea the water of the ring would automatically take shape or the ring and would flow like a wave. Once the two rings would come together then they would glow and combine the mood of the two. The currents of the seas would either get calm or not based on the combined mood. So its like 'one calms the other' or 'stronger together and harder to break' concept." Tyson explained
"Its perfect." Percy said with a wide smile
"It sounds awesome, Tyson." Apollo said in awe and with a warm smile. Tyson grinned toothily.
"Right. Now for Uncle Hades, I was thinking a pitch black ring made with obsidian but with some effect, it glints red like a ruby and 'Βασιλιάς του Κάτω Κόσμου' meaning king od the underworld etched on it with a grayish color. For Persephone, the ring could be the same except the stone could be a ruby and glinting black and the etching could be 'Βασίλισσα του Κάτω Κόσμου' meaning queen of the underworld. When the two rings are kept together. One on top of the other then they would merge and form a glass rose which is half black and half red which is the color of their stones. There would be an etching on the rose which says 'Πάντα και για πάντα' which is always and forever. Kind of like the two halves of a whole thing." Tyson suggested
A smile tugged at Nico's mouth and Hazel smiled brightly.
"I've never heard anything more perfect." Nico said.
"Or thoughtful." Hazel smiled. Tyson blushed and grinned.
"For Uncle Zeus and Hera, I thought about gold bands and for Hera it would have a diamond. Their vows would be etched into the rings and once the two rings would meet then the vows would glow and holographics of their most beautiful moments would lightly glow against the rings. Then the holographics of some of their most beautiful moments spent together would reflect and glow lightly on the rings. It's the 'my most beautiful moments were with you and you only' concept." Tyson explained.
"You're amazing, man. I love it!" Jason grinned widely.
"Darn right." Thalia smiled. Tyson whooped.
"Well, then, lads, let him get to work on it." Hephaestus chuckled. The others nodded.
In the next week, Tyson was done with the rings while the others had already started discussing and planning the wedding. The best men were working on their speeches as well as helping the others decorate. They had to start coming up with the guest lists as well and also what they could do to make it special. Then they also had to come up with games for the time after the wedding. Percy had gone through a few sleepless nights thinking whether he should invite his mother but he decided against it. He couldn't and didn't want to do that to Amphitrite. He just couldn't. He loved his mother a lot but he loved Amphitrite as well.
They were going through multiple websites to see how some weddings took place and were trying to brainstorm ideas. The lights of the Apollo, Hermes and Ares quarters would be on the entire night. If anybody wanted to sleep then they would go to the room with the soundproof lock. They would take a nap for some time and go back to work after freshening up. It felt like a good change to all of them compared to getting up and getting ready for the reading. Also, all of them were hyped for the wedding not just because it was a big day but it was also because they would get to see their parents the happiest. Nico, Hazel and Percy were more hyped than the others because Tyson was too busy at the moment. Triton had been there to see a lot of Poseidon and Amphitrite. Jason and Thalia were hyped too but they still weren't on the best of terms with Hera and hence their happiness wasn't exactly doubled. Hermes, Apollo and Ares were glad but again mostly like Thalia and Jason.
Percy, Nico and Hazel were mostly the happiest because they had got close to their stepmothers and they had started treating them like parents itself and none of them had actually seen their parents truly happy and they couldn't wait to see them like that.
Though they were all working their butts off, they were also having the time of their lives behind the scenes.
Percy, Jason and Nico were cheered into performing different songs. The three of them had sung You and I by One Direction with Percy doing the high notes. Then they did Where do Broken Hearts go as well.
Then they would all act crazy half the time and would have their own parties in the night after they finished their work or they would have movie marathons. Behind the scenes was certainly fun.
Then came the big day. The planners woke up super early and immediately got to work. The rings that Tyson had made were absolutely magnificent and had turned out better than even he had designed. Once the three gods and their spouses woke up, the first thing they saw were their childrens' faces which gave them quite the shock to wake up properly.
Thalia, Hazel, Rachel and Hazel quickly took the ladies to other rooms while the others stood their grinning at their fathers who were rubbing the sleep from their eyes. They weren't completely awake so it was absolutely amusing to watch them.
"That is fucking creepy. Please stop staring at me like that." Hades grumbled to Nico as he got off the bed which led to Nico laughing his head off.
"You do remember today?" he asked with a raised eyebrow
"I mean, of course it isn't the day that I've been looking forward to weeks maybe millennia. No, I don't think it is." Hades replied sarcastically. Nico bit his lip to stop from laughing. His dad certainly was cheeky during the morning. He knew just where he got his sassiness from. Damn, he owed his dad for that.
"Well, that's good. Take a bath then." Nico stated.
"I'm getting there, Nico." Hades grumbled as he got up.
"You're doing great." Nico said with a grin
"I know." Hades answered equally cheekily.
Oh didn't the two of them love these interactions. Yes, they did.
Once they three gods were ready, their groomsmen gave them their tuxedoes as they put on their own. Then they gave them the basic instructions and they nodded. By now the three of them visibly looked nervous.
HADES, NICO AND WILL
Will had been helping with some final guest details and helping out with the music speakers as his dad was busy with groomsmen duties.
"Ah. Here you are." Nico grinned at Will
"Here I am." Will grinned back. The two of them put on their suits and gave Hades his tux. After the basic instructions, he looked nervous which the two of them noticed.
"There's no need to be nervous, sir." Will said gently
"Dad." Hades corrected without hesitation but he didn't notice it. It was like it came out naturally. Will looked beyond shocked and so did Nico but they bit it down and focused on the situation at hand.
"Dad, Will's right. I know you're probably nervous right now but once Persephone walks down the aisle, she's all that you're going to think about. And if you're even the least bit worried about her saying yes then you need not be. She is definitely going to say yes because she loves you just as much as you love her." Nico said meaning everything he said
"Exactly. I've seen it. We've all seen it and we all know it." Will added. Hades looked much better now.
"Thanks guys." He said
"No need to thank us." Will smiled.
"Oh and yes, by the way you are my son." Hades said to Will whose eyes went wide and Nico turned bright red.
Nico went to the Poseidon quarters for a few minutes. He knocked on the door and Percy had opened it.
"How's your dad doing?" Nico asked
"Nervous." Percy chuckled.
"Yeah, mine too." Nico said
"Even Zeus." Percy said
"Well damnn." Nico grinned. Percy chuckled.
"Have you been to see Annabeth yet?" Nico asked
"I can't. Remember?" Percy sighed
"Oh yeah." Nico said "Don't worry, at least even you'll see her coming down the aisle." He said. Percy brightened up at that.
"Can't wait." He said. Nico grinned and went back to the Hades quarters.
And then it was time. It was time for the event that they'd all waited and worked for to start. Apollo, Ares and Hermes finished some last minute work and they were all set. All the guests had arrived and were equally as excited. Guests from all around had come. From Atlantis, from Olympus and the deities from the Underworld.
Then the groomsmen got the grooms up on the aisle and all the guests broke into wide smiles. The three of them looked visibly anxious yet excited to see the three ladies and the groomsmen just smiled at each other.
And then it started. The music began to play as the first bride that was Hera walked down the aisle. Hera was walked to the aisle by Rhea who had a broad smile on her face. The bridesmaids were Hebe, Piper, Eris and Eileithyia, all of whom looked elegant and beautiful.
Zeus couldn't take his eyes off Hera and it wasn't just because of her being beautiful but also because of the love they shared. Jason had smiled at his dad and then turned to look at the bridesmaid and he took a sharp breath as he saw Piper. He was already smiling but just then his smile grew broader.
Zeus and Hera looked at each other and it was as if everything else had vanished except them and they were still together. Hera went up to the aisle and stood in front of Zeus hand in hand.
The next bride was Amphitrite. She was walked down the aisle by Delphin who had taken on his human form who had the proudest look on his face. The bridesmaids were Annabeth, Rhode and Kymopoleia. Even good old Kym had agreed to wear a dress. She, Jason and Percy were on good terms now. Amphitrite's dress shimmered like water behind her just as Hera's had shimmered like air with shimmers of gold.
Poseidon sucked in a breath as he saw her. He eyes were fixed on her and hers were fixed on him. Both of them had started to have lightly watery eyes and Poseidon smiled. Percy, Triton and Tyson had the widest smile on their faces as they noticed the two of them.
Percy's smile only grew wider as his eyes met with Annabeth's. As soon as he saw her, his eyes got all watery as well. She looked absolutely gorgeous and he couldn't wait till she walked down the aisle and he looked at her with one of the most adoring gazes ever.
Amphitrite went and stood in front of Poseidon as the two of the stared into each other's eyes.
The third bride was Persephone whose dress shimmered like black waves and had touches of red as well. The bridesmaids were Hazel and Hecate and she was walked down the aisle by Thanatos. In normal circumstances, it would be Zeus instead of Thanatos but Zeus himself was standing on the aisle.
Hades saw her and his face turned absolutely spellbound. He couldn't take his eyes off her. His eyes shimmered with happiness and he looked absolutely mesmerized with watery eyes. Nico smiled and so did Will. The planners exchanged proud smiles and looks. Eros, himself, looked as he was going to burst with the amount of love present in one place. Everybody had chosen him to be the officiator for obvious reasons.
The best men stepped up and handed over the rings with the widest smiles ever. Tyson looked excited for the reactions when they would see the rings. Zeus and Hera's eyes went wide as they saw the ring and they looked at Tyson who smiled at them.
Poseidon and Amphitrite gasped when they saw theirs.
"Beautiful." Amphitrite murmured and the two smiled at Tyson who grinned toothily. Hades and Persephone had the exact reaction as Poseidon and Amphitrite.
Eros recited the vows.
"Do you, Zeus, king of the gods, take Hera, the queen of gods, to be your wife again?" he said
"I do." Zeus stated with surety. Eros did the same for Hera.
"I do." Hera smiled. Everybody grinned. Eros smiled.
"Do you, Poseidon, king of the oceans, take Amphitrite, the queen of the oceans, to be your wife again?" Eros asked
"I do and I always will." Poseidon stated. Percy, Triton and Tyson grinned and chuckled. Eros did the same for Amphitrite.
"I do." Amphitrite said with a light blush. Poseidon grinned and Percy, Triton and Tyson fist bumped quietly. With the same smile on his face, Eros went onto Hades and Persephone.
"Do you, Hades, the king of the underworld, take Persephone, the queen of the underworld, to be your wife again?" he asked
"I do. Now and always." Hades said without any trace of doubt but with just a smile. Eros did the same for Persephone.
"I do. Always." Persephone said. Everybody grinned.
"You may now kiss the brides." Eros declared. The grooms leant forward and kissed the brides sweetly.
"By the power vested in me, I, Eros, god of love, now announce you all husbands and wives." Eros announced loudly. Everybody erupted into loud applause. The planners cheered and everybody else whooped and shouted in joy as they celebrated. The three couples leant their foreheads against their spouses. The planners hugged each other.
Everybody rejoiced and celebrated and soon they went onto the reception. The planners made sure everything went smoothly. Percy and Jason jumped up onto the stage once everybody took their seats. The couples sat in the front.
"Hey guys." Percy grinned. A cheer rose from the crowd and Percy chuckled.
"Today is one of the biggest days ever and I think we all agree now, don't we?" Percy grinned. A louder cheer rose from everybody.
"This day is rounding up to be one of the most exhilarating ones ever in the best way ever but the good news is that it isn't over! We have a good program planned for you all. We're going to be starting with the best man speeches." Jason grinned. Everybody clapped.
Jason jumped off the stage as Percy would start with his speech.
"For those of you who don't know me, my name is Percy Jackson and for those of those who do know me…I apologise. My full name is actually 'Percy Jackson-would-you-like-a-drink'. For those of you who I chat to in the bar later, I'd appreciate it if you could use my full name. "I'm so happy to preside over the only five minutes that the bride didn't plan…Of course, I'm only joking. She went over the speech with me half an hour ago in the bar."" Percy grinned. Everybody laughed and Poseidon shook his fondly.
"About that, congratulations dad and Amphitrite. I am so freaking happy for you." Percy said. Amphitrite and Poseidon smiled.
"The first thing apart from that I am going to have to say is that dad, you're really lucky." Percy grinned. Amphitrite chuckled and so did everybody else. Percy just put his hands in the air. Poseidon fake pouted at Percy.
"I didn't really know where to start so I thought I'd trawl the internet. After a couple of hours I'd found some really, really good stuff. But then I remembered that I was supposed to be writing a speech." Percy grinned with a sheepish look
"Firstly, I think that the best moment to actually and truly roast the groom aka my dad is on his wedding day." Percy grinned as he walked on the stage. Everybody laughed especially Zeus and Hades who cheered.
"Now, before I start, my friends have asked me to request that, for reasons of health and safety, none of you get up on top of the chairs and tables during my standing ovation." Percy grinned.
"Sucks, I know." Percy shrugged but then sighed dramatically.
"I do have to say that though that dad just how lucky you are. You will go to your honeymoon with a wife who is loving and caring and how lucky you are as well, Amphitrite because you get to leave here today, having gained a beautiful outfit and a bouquet of flowers!" Percy grinned. Everybody burst out laughing including Poseidon. Zeus and Hades were the ones who were laughing the most.
"I agree." Poseidon nodded.
"See, there we go. Me and my dad, well, we share one single brain cell which coincidentally is the only one that we both possess. So we basically share our only brain cell which we keep passing around in conversations and arguments." Percy informed. Everybody laughed and cheered again.
"So you know what this means. It means that we share a bond. Now jokes aside, we actually do and we always have whether I have been aware of it or not. Its always run in our blood and in our heart and it runs both ways. With everything that has been going on, I've come to realize that it runs much deeper than I ever thought. Its as if, if he's happy then I'm happy but if I'm upset then he's always there." Percy said with a warm smile.
"And I don't know how to say this but I love you, dad and I would do anything to just see you happy because you deserve it." Percy said
"Oh and by the way, Amphitrite, I always wanted you to know just how much I am grateful to have a step mother like you. Just how much I am grateful that you gave me a chance. That you accepted me and I could never ever forget that." Percy said with a watery smile which Amphitrite returned and nodded.
"But that's enough from my side. I love you both so much and don't ever forget that." Percy said and jumped down the stage and he, Triton and Tyson were enveloped in a hug by Poseidon and Amphitrite.
Nico walked onto the stage with a grin similar to that of his father's and that was when Hades knew that this was going to be quite the roasting at least at the start.
"Loyal, caring, sincere, honest, a great man… but that's enough about me, I'm here to give a speech about dad aka the one and only king of the underworld aka senior death boy!" Nico announced. Everybody laughed.
"I'm his favorite son. Yes, his only son but that doesn't matter." Nico introduced himself and the laughter increased.
"I can only say in my defense that dad and I share the same sense of humor so if this speech is in anyway unfunny, please feel free to blame my father." Nico clarified with a grin.
"The couple have asked that I don't talk about dad's mishaps, mistakes, embarrassing moments or ex-partners. So thanks for listening everyone, that's it from me!" Nico said with a grin and bowed. Everybody burst out laughing. Zeus and Poseidon were clapping and Hades was making a playful finger gun at Nico.
"But anyways, it's been a wild ride of relationships between me, dad and Persephone and it quite literally goes from being a dandelion, to having a zombie chauffer and to being ready to do absolutely anything for each other." Nico said with a smile.
"I wasn't always happy to be a son of a god but now. Now I am proud to be called a son of Hades and to stand here giving a best man speech for my dad." Nico said with a chuckle.
"In all seriousness, dad, it makes me one of the happiest people ever to see you truly happy. And by truly happy, I mean the happiness that makes your entire soul happy, the one that even just a small smile makes you feel like you're floating. And to see you as happy as that makes me just as happy because you deserve it, dad. Nico said with a smile.
"And now lets move onto Persephone." Nico said with a grin and everybody laughed "I'll be nicee." He said, dragging the 'nice' which made it even more hilarious.
"I remember the exact moment that I knew that she was going to say yes again. A few days ago, it was a cloudy day and me and Hecate, we were talking. Persephone walks in and looks a bit flustered. Hecate asks her, 'what were you upto?'" Nico asked with a perfect imitation of Hecate as he looks on the side.
"And she goes 'uhh work' and then in walks dad and me and Hecate, we look at each other and say in absolute unison. 'Hi work'." Nico grinned. Everybody roared with laughter including Hades and Persephone.
"The looks on their faces were priceless." Nico informed with a smirk.
"Persephone, you're amazing and cool and I appreciate it a lot when I'm a person." Nico said. Persephone chuckled.
"I'm grateful to you and you make my dad happy in way that I never could and probably don't want to either." Nico said and smirked. Everybody burst into laughter and you could see the pride on Hades, Thalia and Percy's faces.
"So that's all for me and now I'm gonna give the mic to Jason to roast my good old yet youngest uncle." Nico stated and jumped off the podium with a grin. He gave a hug to Hades and Persephone and stood next to Percy.
"Hi everyone, I'm Jason. I'm here to tell you about dad and how truly special, talented, good looking and uh sorry dad, I'm struggling to read your handwriting here." Jason said as he pulled out a paper and pretended to squint to try and read it. Everybody laughed and Zeus chuckled.
"The handwriting is quite bad." Hades called out. Zeus looked at him with a mock offended expression. Jason chuckled as he continued.
"I'm going to keep this speech like dad – short and not very funny." Jason said with a wink. Zeus so nearly pouted at Jason.
"I shall ask you two to do a small activity." Jason said to Zeus and Hera with a mischievous grin so that gave Zeus a feeling that what was coming next was going to be quite the hilarious thing. Hermes had given Jason this idea.
"Hera please put your left hand flat on the table. Dad please place your hand on top of theirs. Enjoy this moment dad because it's the first and last time in your marriage that you'll have the upper hand." Jason said with a cheeky grin. Everybody burst out laughing and cheered including Zeus. Hera chuckled.
"So true!" Poseidon shouted
"I could say the same for you, uncle." Jason said with a wink. Poseidon and everybody else laughed again.
"Anyways, time for the truth." Jason stated
"So dad, I wasn't too fond of how our relationship was at the start but then I realized why you did what you did…at least most of the times. I think it was eventually what had helped me be a leader in the sense of how you had to follow your own rules so that others would too even if they didn't like it. I think that now we've actually got real close and that's one thing that I always wanted and it delights me beyond belief to get that. We've reached such a point in our relationship, that it makes me happy to see you happy. It still makes me happy even at the little moments when you might be proud of me but mostly it is when you are truly happy because you deserve it." Jason said with a smile. Zeus smiled and it might just have been years since anybody had seen him smile that much.
"And Hera…I don't have a mother. My aunt is the closest thing I have but so are you. I'd like to create a relationship like a son and a mother and one which goes deeper than just being your champion. You're my step mother but I want to treat you like you're my mother and I'd appreciate it if we both give each other that chance. I'd like you and dad to be the people who I would come to when I have to ask if my hair is fine for a date. I'd like you to be the people who would tell me if I've left my dirty laundry on the floor or if I need a haircut. I'd like it all to be like that. Of course, if that's fine with you?" Jason said truly with a smile. Hera, for the first time in ages smiled warmly.
"Of course." She said. Jason grinned widely.
"Congratulations to both you and I'm undeniably happy at this one moment! I would like my brothers and sisters to come up to the stage so we can together toast the three happily couples!" Jason shouted as he announced. Everybody cheered. The best men, Thalia, Hazel and all the children of the couples came up onto the stage and grabbed some glasses as they toasted the three couples. Everybody cheered at the top of their lungs and applauded loudly. This moment was the only event that Percy, Nico, Jason and Hazel had agreed to alcohol. Luckily it was champagne.
Then Percy and Ares grabbed two champagne bottles as the others went down and asked the people to move a little behind. The two cousins grinned at each other and popped the champagne bottles as it sprayed and they whooped. Everybody else cheered. This had to be the loudest and most enthusiastic crowd ever and they all loved it.
"Now we've got a performance by Jason and Piper!" Percy announced
"What's the topic about, Perce?" Apollo asked in the second mic as the two of them were on the ones who were announcing all the performances
"Well, Apollo, it certainly is special. Giving away the story might be a bit of a spoiler." Percy grinned.
"That's fair." Apollo grinned.
The two of them jumped off the stage and the lights went dim. It was already night and even the lights were switched off. There was only enough light to barely see Jason and Piper in color.
Jason and Piper walked onto the stage. Piper had temporarily adjusted her hair to be the same color as Hera and being Aphrodite's daughter and a goddess, she was able to lightly alter her basic appearance. She was in her white dress while Jason had kept a light stubble again and was in his suit. The two of them looked exactly like Hera and Zeus. What made it better was that Jason even sounded exactly like Zeus and Piper was close to Hera's voice as well.
"They say that soulmates have one heartbeat rhythm. They share it as they indirectly share everything. Even when they are apart, their hearts beat as one, never fading. Today, we share a story of another set of soulmates who've been through different stages of love." Percy's voice rang through. Everybody was silent as they pondered and thought about what he said.
The effects were being handled by Hermes, Apollo, Tyson and Percy whereas the music by Apollo, Will and Nico. So maybe this song was from all of their sides.
Jason and Piper stood at a distance with their backs facing each other. They had the head mounted mics which would sometimes vanish when they would want the mic which they could hold in their hands and the music started.
"Heartbeat
Heartbeat, heart-heartbeat
Heartbeat, heartbeat
Heartbeat, heart-heartbeat." Their voices echoed in unison.
"I saw you talking on the phone. I know that you were not alone." Jason sang, turning around and gesturing at Piper.
"But you're stealing my heart away. Yeah, you're stealing my heart away." Jason said, putting his hands on his chest and then acting as if he was taking his heart and then pushing it towards Piper with a dreamy look in his eyes.
"You're acting like you're on your own but I saw you standing with a girl, ooh." Piper said, turning away and pointing accusingly at Jason as she moved a little towards him and he moved a little back.
"Stop tryna steal my heart away. Stop tryna steal my heart away." Piper said, rolling her eyes but still looking at Jason who looked at her with the typical Zeus smirk when he had tried to make Hera fall in love with him. The head mounted mic changed into the hand-holding mic.
"I don't know where we're goin'. I don't know who we are" Jason sang as he walked towards Piper.
"I can feel your heartbeat. I can feel your heartbeat." He said with his hand on his chest as he stood in front of Piper with his knees a little bent. The place where his heart was started beating in a dark blue and spread to the rest of his torso which looked as it was the reflection of something through water.
"He said to me." Piper sang
"I can feel your heartbeat" Jason continued, looking Piper in the eye.
"Running through me." Piper sang and just as she did, the place on her heart started beating in a purple shade and spread to the rest of her torso with the same effect as Jason's.
"Feel your heartbeat." Jason sang with the same look as Zeus as he moved back.
"She said." Jason then continued
"I can feel your heartbeat." Piper sang as she moved forward to Jason who moved a step front as well.
"She said to me." Jason sang and moved a step front again.
"I can feel your heartbeat." Piper sang.
"She said to me." Jason sang as he held one hand front.
"I can feel your heartbeat." Piper sang as the effect on her beat just as her heart.
"Running through me." Jason continued, stepping closer to Piper.
"Your heartbeat, feel your heartbeat." Piper continued as she looked Jason in the eyes with a dreamy look.
"Maybe it's the way you move. You got me dreaming like a fool." Jason sang as the mic for him changed back into the head mounted and he kept his mouth next to Piper's ear as he sang.
"That I could steal your heart away. I could steal your heart away." He sang as he moved slightly away and put his hands on his heart.
"No matter what it is you think." Piper said, moving forward as she rolled her eyes at a smirking Jason.
"I'm not the kind of girl to blink and give my heart away." She sang as she pushed Jason back on the chest. Jason went backwards and put his hands on the back of his head but then grinned as if he had a challenge now. Everybody hooted and wolf whistled especially the ones who knew that this was exactly what happened with Zeus and Hera. Zeus and Hera on the other hand were smiling and reminiscing.
"Stop tryna steal my heart away." Piper said with a grin.
"I don't know where we're goin'
I don't know who we are" they sang
""I can feel your heartbeat" Jason sang, keeping a hand on his heart which was still beating with the glow.
"He said to me."
"I can feel your heartbeat"
"He said to me." Piper sang
"I can feel your heartbeat." Jason continued, his eyes locked with Piper's.
"Running through me." Piper sang. The two of them gestured as if they pushed something towards Hera and Zeus. Then Hera's heartrate popped up in the air as a holographic image. It'd been Will's idea and being the god of the heart, he was able to pull it off. Everybody smiled.
"Heartbeat, feel your heartbeat." They both continued
"She said." Jason started
"I can feel your heartbeat"
"She said to me"
"I can feel your heartbeat" Piper sang
"Running through me." Jason continued, both their hands on their chests and then they made the same gesture again and Zeus' heartrate popped up as well, completely in sync with Hera's. Their rhythms matched as their hearts beat in perfect rhythm. The glow on Jason and Piper's chests grew ever stronger. Zeus and Hera looked at each other lovingly while the others gasped and hooted and cheered.
"Feel your heartbeat." They continued.
"Stop stealin' my heart away
Stop stealin' my heart away." They sang. Jason kept his hands on an invisible glass wall with Hera on the other side. He started hammering it as if to reach through her but he couldn't.
"Stop stealin' my heart away
You're stealin' my heart away." They continued. Jason then turned around and the two of them stood with their backs facing each other with a glass wall between them, indicating the tough phase of Zeus and Hera's relationship.
"I don't know where we're goin'
I don't know who we are." They sang as they both slid down that invisible glass wall onto the stage and sat with their backs still to each other.
"High above the stars (the stars, the stars, the stars)
(Heartbeat, heart-heartbeat)
(Heartbeat, heart-heartbeat)." They continued. At one point Jason would look back when Piper wasn't looking and then the other moment Piper would look back when Jason wouldn't look and yet the glow effect continued to beat.
"I can feel it, I can feel it, I can feel it
I can feel it, I can." They sang as they then touched their hearts and then turned around in sync and met each other's eyes. They both shot to their feet. Jason tried to test the wall which had disappeared.
"I can feel your heartbeat." Jason sang with a desperate yet happy look on his face. They way that the two of them had managed to capture the emotions was amazing. Jason looked desperate as if to make it all work and so did Piper.
"He said to me."
"I can feel your heartbeat."
"He said to me."
"I can feel your heartbeat."
"Running through me." Piper continued as she moved towards Jason who moved back.
"She said." Jason continued
"I can feel your heartbeat."
"She said to me."
"I can feel your heartbeat."
"She said to me."
"I can feel your heartbeat."
"Running through me." Jason sang as the two of them moved towards each other. Then a video showed up as a holographic image in the sky.
"Heartbeat, feel your heartbeat, beat, beat
Stop stealing my heart away" They sang. They danced together. The special part was that it was the exact same first dance that Zeus and Hera had on their first wedding. Everybody's mouths fell open at that and the ones who knew that it was Percy's doing chuckled.
"Tell it to me girl" Jason sang
"Stop stealing my heart away"
"Mmm, give it to me boy" Piper continued

"Say it to me girl" Jason sang
"You're stealing my heart away
Stop stealing my heart away (I can feel your heartbeat)

Your heartbeat, your heartbeat" They ended their performance with their foreheads touching together and Frank turned into a cuckoo and flew above their heads just as it had happened in the first wedding of Zeus and Hera.
Everybody burst into applause. The crowd could certainly be louder than the dauntless at times. It was a freaking standing ovation. Zeus and Hera had watery eyes. Hera had her hands on her mouth in surprise. Both of them had found the performance beyond special. The way that it had showed their entire story just before their eyes had been absolutely beautiful, even the tough parts of it.
Jason and Piper got down the stage and their friends came out from the behind the scenes area and grinned at them. Jason grinned widely as he was given a hug by his father.
"It was amazing. It really was." Percy clapped Jason on the shoulder later. Jason grinned at him.
"The wall was your idea and the first dance video was with your help." Jason said to him.
"Nah, bro. The performance was yours and it was awesome and extremely special." Percy smiled. The two of them chuckled. Apollo and Hermes then hopped onto the stage.
"That was absolutely amazing and beautiful. Its quite special as to how it conveyed a whole relationship story in a few minutes and yet it was just as special as the actual one." Hermes smiled.
"Agreed, brother." Apollo grinned "And now we've got a performance by Percy and Nico who are convey a million feelings in just a song as well." He said. Everybody cheered.
Percy and Nico had decided to sing Thousand Years by Christina Perry. Nico said that he'd handle the piano and Percy was going to handle the acoustic guitar while both would focus on the vocals as well.
The performance came out even more beautiful than the rehearsals. It was moving enough then but now that it was truly being sung from the soul without trying, it was even more raw and beautiful. In fact, it was beautiful enough the move all three couples to near tears.
Nico and Percy took a bow at the end of the performance with heartwarming smiles in their parents' directions and once they jumped off, they were taken into hugs by them as well. The audience had been moved to tears as well as they gave a standing ovation and cheered loudly. Percy then jumped back on stage and grinned.
"Now, we've got a special game planned for the three couples." Percy grinned. Will went around and handed a formal shoe for the gods and high heels for the goddesses to the couples. The chairs for the three couples were adjusted so that the partners would be back to back.
"So we all know this game and we might as well get started on it." Percy grinned. He handed the mic to Nico who grinned as well.
"Who's in charge-" Nico started but before he finished all the three gods raised their shoes and everybody burst out laughing while the goddesses nodded. Once Nico recovered from his laughter he continued.
"And that's it. Goodnight ladies and gentlemen." He chuckled. There was another round of laughter at that. Nico grinned and continued. The three husbands grinned sheepishly at their wives who chuckled.
"Who is in charge of the remotes?" Nico asked with a smile.
Hera and Zeus raised the shoe while Poseidon and Amphitrite raised the high heels and Hades and Persephone just raised both. Everybody laughed.
"I can indeed testify to that." Nico nodded at Hades and Persephone who grinned. He then passed the mic to Ares.
"Who falls asleep first?" Ares asked.
Zeus and Hera again raised the shoe and so did Poseidon and Amphitrite while Hades and Persephone raised the high heels. Everybody gave a warm applause mixed with chuckles. Ares handed the mic to Triton.
"Who's the bigger baby when they're sick?" Triton asked with a grin. All three couples held up the shoe and everybody burst out laughing at that and clapped as they did so. The three grooms grinned sheepishly and the brides nodded.
"You have no idea." Amphitrite said. This just increased the laughter and Poseidon turned around to pout at Amphitrite. Triton handed over the mic to Hazel.
"Who's most likely to wake up grumpy?" She asked with a shy grin. The brides held up the shoe while the grooms held up the high heels. Everybody cheered and laughed again. Hazel handed the mic over to Percy.
"Okay, dad and uncles, you might want to say raise up the high heels for the next one." Percy said in a whisper which was intentionally very audible.
"Who is always right?"
The high heels shot up and everybody burst out laughing.
"Good advice." Hades nodded. Persephone nodded in agreement.
Well, that's that. Thank you so much for playing." Tyson grinned. Everybody applauded.
"Well, now we've got one of the most special events of the entire day and no, its not dinner-"There was some good natured and casual laughter there "-but it is even more special. Its time for the first dances!" Percy announced. Everybody cheered.
The stage disappeared and the area cleared and a dance floor appeared, curtesy of Hermes' gadgets.
The song 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias played in the background and as the three couples danced it became more and more abundantly clear that there was no other that they loved as much as each other and that no other could take their places in each other's hearts. The dance was obviously slow and everybody enjoyed every second of it but nobody loved it more than the three couples. They felt peaceful and happy and like Nico had said, the true happiness filled them.
The planners on the other hand stood at the side with the widest smiles spread across their faces. Nico, Hazel, Triton, Tyson and Percy had tears of happiness gathered in their eyes at seeing their parents and uncles and of course step mothers or mothers.
Once the first dance was over, it was just a 'whoever wants to dance can come up and do so.' Everybody was more energetic after dinner and of course some were at the bar.
"Percy Jackson, may I buy you a drink." Annabeth smiled as she leant against the bar where Percy sat. Percy laughed and grinned his troublemaker grin.
"Yes, you may." He said. Annabeth laughed and the two shared a virgin mojito.
Jason and Nico then came to call Percy. The three, Apollo, Hermes and Ares then stood as Corfu by Eric Gemsa started playing and the six of them immediately started the Sirtaki dance. The dance floor cleared immediately as they all laughed and danced.
"Damnn." Hades whistled. Many people joined them and soon so did the grooms. They danced till the entire song was over and they all laughed and cheered and whooped once it was over.
"This took ages to learn." Nico chuckled.
"Yeah, I swear. If one person fell then all of us tumbled down." Jason grinned.
"It takes some time at first but once you know it, you know it." Poseidon said with a chuckle.
The party lasted well until 2am. Ares had somehow managed to get Chris drunk and himself as well. Clarisse had taken drinks as well but not as much as Ares but more than Chris but damn, she had a high tolerance. She watched them both amusedly as they both danced in unison and chuckled. She just had to click a photo for blackmail.
Hermes, his kids, Leo and Percy on the other hand had gone crazy. None of them were drunk but they sure as heck seemed like they were.
Once the party ended, the couples obviously had gone to their rooms while the guests went home and the planners had collapsed in the Apollo, Hermes and Ares quarters. It didn't seem like that they were going to wake up early the next day and that was right.
Everybody woke up at 12pm the next day. The planners however woke up at 1:30 pm and nobody woke them up because they all knew that they were bound to be tired. In fact, they wouldn't be surprised if the planners didn't wake up until the next day but that didn't happen. Chris and Ares had horrible hangovers which was not a surprise and Clarisse just showed them the photos and the videos and they managed to grin at each other.
Hestia made hot chocolate for everybody. She was in an extremely good mood, just as happy as the others about recent events. The couples were bursting with happiness even by just the looks of it and the planners grinned when they saw that.
"Children, we've got a note from the fates." Chiron then said to the house of heroes with a smile.
"Ah. Really?" Rachel asked. Chiron nodded.
"They say that we should start reading again." He said
"Well, they are right. Its been weeks since we haven't read." Travis pointed out. Chiron nodded.
"Lets get started after lunch then." Demeter stated. Everybody nodded in agreement.
Once lunch was over, they all went to the greenhouse to read. They'd all grabbed another mug of hot chocolate or coffee along with some snacks as they went. To set the atmosphere, Zeus started to make it rain again and everybody grabbed blankets as well then.
"I'll read first." Chris said as he picked up the book.
