FOR A HEARTBEAT, HAZEL WAS…or the grass gets it!"
Demeter huffed.
"They hate you! Why can't I at least threaten them?" Percy complained
"Fine." Demeter said begrudgingly. Nico and Hades mock fainted in the background.
Frank winced like the flame…He's crazy!"
"Why, thank you. I feel highly flattered." Percy grinned.
"Anytime." Hazel chuckled.
The remnants of the karpoi…"Excuse me?"
Everybody snickered.
"I can imagine the confusion on your face." Nico sniggered.
"No like, imagine, you ask somebody and they just respond with 'a big pile of schist'." Percy defended.
"Guys," Frank called from…those rumors was marching by.
Everybody furrowed their eyebrows in worry.
"The Earthborn fought the…Centaurs are good guys."
Chiron smiled sadly at Percy.
"Unfortunately my brethren and I are some of the only good ones out there. Many choose to join the enemy." He said. Percy sighed.
Frank made a choking sound…drunk and killing heroes."
"Hey now." All the older Greeks said in annoyance.
"Watch it." Beckendorf said calmly
Hazel watched as the horse…"Let's not ask them, okay?"
"Good choice." Leo nodded and swallowed.
Sure enough, lumbering after…All wrong."
"I'm sorry, brother." Tyson said sadly.
"Its all right, big guy. Not everybody can be as good as the underwater cyclopes." Percy said, patting his back.
"Yeah but somehow, most of the Cyclopes are connected. The main reason for so many going rogue is because there are too many and they get no attention…they're basically abandoned." Triton said in worry and a sigh of regret, adding the last part quietly. A flash of pain crossed Poseidon's face as well.
"Well then, that's going to change. If dad can't attend to all of them then I think we should at least visit and let them know that they're looked at and cared for and aren't invisible to us." Percy sighed. Triton and Tyson nodded in agreement and Poseidon and Amphitrite looked proud of the three of them.
The monster army was enough…scrambling his mind in the process.
Castor and Pollux winced.
"I'm still not happy about what you did to my son. Maybe you are fine doing it to Jason though I'm not happy about that either and not to mention, you put my son in absolutely horrible conditions." Poseidon glared at Hera who grimaced, not exactly wanting to be at the end of the sea god's wrath.
She glanced at Frank…Then she saw the giant.
"Is that Alcyoneus?" Piper asked
"No, I don't think so. He doesn't like coming out of Alaska because then he can be killed." Hades said, after thinking about it. Everybody then sat forward, not really eager to know which other giant it was.
When he appeared over the ridge…This giant was a supersize retiarius.
The sea gang except Percy and Tyson froze, finding out exactly who it was and not at all happy about it.
"You faced Polybotes?" Triton whispered in horror and he turned paler as Percy nodded.
Who is he?"… That's Polybotes."
"Bane of Poseidon." Athena informed.
"Why is that the kids are facing their parents' banes?" Artemis shook her head.
She wasn't sure how she knew…no one in the store was impressed
Everybody snorted.
A tiny dark object came sailing…Where Ding Dongs?"
All the teenagers except Hazel and Tyson, Apollo, Ares and Hermes roared with laughter at the other meaning that they derived.
"Let's attack," said…I come to annihilate you!"
"Wow, should we be flattered that she remembers our names?" Jason said dryly
"Aw, that's nice of her but I do hope she remembers how I defeated the kids because you know, I really worked hard for that." Leo said with a slight pout.
The other Cyclopes bellowed…That couldn't be a coincidence.
"The monsters know more than we did at that point." Travis said with a light chuckle
Below them, the army began…"I smell sea god."
Poseidon and Triton swore violently. Amphitrite didn't even try to chide them but was actually nodding in agreement.
"That's not good." Nico said
"Yeah no shit." Thalia snorted. Nico stuck his tongue out at her.
Percy was shaking…press him flat against the rock.
Poseidon trembled as he felt Percy's emotions flow into him. He glared at Hera as he realized that though there was fear, the main reason that Percy was so shaken up was because he felt as if his mind was being ripped to absolute shreds. He didn't know where he was from. He didn't know who he truly was. If Poseidon was going to be honest with himself, he didn't understand how Percy and the other demigods still had enough loyalty for them in their hearts after dealing with so much at their hands.
"Hera." He growled.
"I had absolutely nothing to do with him being afraid of Polybotes." Hera hissed.
"It is not because of the fear that he was feeling sick." Poseidon said sharply "Its because his whole freaking mind is being torn apart thanks to you." He said angrily.
"Brother, you must calm down." Hestia said softly.
"She's right. There's nothing you can do right now. Doing or saying anything to her is not going to make what we're reading anything any better." Hades said, trying to calmly explain that to his brother. Poseidon looked at the two of them. Those two really knew what to say to him to get regulated at times. He gestured for Amphitrite to read again.
The lady Cyclops Ma Gasket…March! March!"
Everybody couldn't help but sigh in relief that the giant hadn't noticed the three.
He took one last look at the…into the tall grass on the hillside.
Connor whistled. "Dude has issues." He stated
"Wasn't that obvious?" Katie said with dry amusement.
Then he marched south…should get him back to the boat
Poseidon shuddered as well, the same emotions rushing back. He glared even more ferociously at Hera this time, making her turn pale.
On the other hand…burning rainbow might comeback."
"If it's something related to rainbows then it might be Iris." Hephaestus wondered
"That's quite possible." Aphrodite nodded. Chiron looked like he agreed as well.
They both looked at Percy…shaking like he had hypothermia.
Poseidon shuddered violently this time. Triton and Amphitrite glared Hera now. Poseidon glared at her with such rage that Hera thought she was stuck in the middle of a whirlpool with the worst sea creatures surrounding her and that was when she realized that Poseidon was making her see all those images and just what he actually was capable of doing if something else mentally or physically painful happened to Percy because of her plan. Gods, she hoped he'd be all right.
Though Jason wanted to make things better with his patron and step mother, he couldn't bring himself to stand up for her when his cousin was going through such mental pain and the fact that he had been put in a horrible situation as well though maybe not as bad as Percy's.
Zeus wasn't able to defend Hera either because even he was reading just how much the sudden headaches and the missing memories were impacting Percy. He wasn't too fond of how much Percy's mind was being ripped from inside. Though he didn't have a close relationship with Percy like Hades had, he still did taken a strange fondness for his nephews and niece. At the same time, he hadn't forgotten that Jason had ended up in the same position and had even got killed by seeing Hera's true form. He loved Hera but at some times, it was difficult for him to defend her as well.
"We've got to try,"… can't be all bad. Let's go."
"Chapter's done." Amphitrite announced.
"I'll read." Thalia said. Amphitrite smiled and passed her the book.
