A/N- Phew, its been long. I'm really sorry for not posting but like I said, I couldn't use my laptop for a long time!
I hope you guys like this chapter
For those who wanted a reaction chapter, I'm really sorry but I had to put this chapter in between but I hope you enjoy the drama :))
"Should I maybe get some medicines?" Will asked, slightly nervously.
"Oh no, I don't think there's a need for that. Words would cause more scars than any medicine could heal." Annabeth said to him with a smile which normally scared the living daylights out of her enemies.
"Well shit. You're screwed." Michael told Hera and then shrugged.
"Where would you like to go?" Nico asked politely with one of his coldest grins. Percy just stood next to him, running his finger down his sword which was strapped at his side. Clarisse whistled.
"I hope it happens here. Wouldn't mind seeing the drama or showdown." She muttered to Chris who gave her a wry smile.
"Sit." Percy's voice rang out, not with his jovial nature. "Now tell me-" he started but was interrupted almost immediately by Hera.
"I have nothing to tell you. Your fathers were absolute deadbeats. They did nothing for you because to them you were just a bunch of demigods. They wouldn't have cared if you would have lived or died in the war. I tried to do something but I'm the villain here." Hera snapped. "Let's all target Hera because she tried to drop a statue on Annabeth." She said mockingly.
"What has your father done for you?" she turned to Percy. "He did nothing when you had to be sent on a quest to receive the bolt. He did nothing when you fought Ares. He did nothing when you went into the sea of monsters or when you held up the sky. He did nothing when you delved into the labyrinth and faced Antaeus who was also his son. He did nothing to help you beat Kronos. To him, you were just a pawn." Poseidon froze on spot. Then Hera turned to Nico.
"You. What did Hades do for you? He got your mother killed. He let your sister get killed. He let you lose your family and did nothing. He trapped you in a casino and let you fall into the influence of Minos. He didn't fight with you when the war came. He was too busy with himself to even think about fighting in the war if you wouldn't have talked to him." Hades turned paler than anybody had ever seen him. It didn't take long for anybody to realize that the pain of the death of Nico's mother and sister still haunted him though he had moved past it. It was painful to see the god of death be pained by death.
"If our dads were deadbeats then you were practically its explanation and definition. You did something, yes, but it was something that could have ended us all. You did that something without any future planning. Like, oh, the kids can figure it out. No, you did something not to save us but to save yourself and yet, even that fell on Jason and the others because you got captured and created an even bigger problem for us." Percy all but growled.
"And where matters for them caring whether we lived or died, well, even though I'm the son of Poseidon, I would have somehow managed to drown myself when I was 12 if it wasn't for his help. I would be dead with poison racing through every bit of my veins. I wouldn't have been who I am if Tyson wasn't sent to me and shit, I wouldn't be alive because most of you here wanted me dead but he stopped everybody here from killing me. Twice." Percy said, raising his voice. "I would have been dead. YOU WOULD BE DEAD IF HE WOULDN'T HAVE CARED!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. Somewhere outside, a storm broke out. "He made mistakes. We all did. You made the most of all." He said to Hera who winced as if somebody had hit her.
"And now, you listen to the voice of shadow. You listen to the ghost king because I command you." Nico said, as his eyes glowed the color of black with the images of the most horrifying monsters and spirts that Hera had ever seen.
"My father did not kill my mother. Your husband killed my mother. My father did not send Hera to the hunters of Artemis and to the quest. That was her decision and the hunters' and she stood by that till the end. The next time you say anything similar to the lines that you just said, it won't be me you face, it'll be your nightmares in every waking moment. He put me in a casino till the time was right and if he hadn't I'd still be living in the time of Hitler without anybody. He made me meet my family rather than stealing them from me. He kept me SAFE during the war. HE WANTED TO KEEP ME WITH HIM WHEN THE WAR WAGED." Nico said, screaming at the end.
"You never treated him like your family and yet he fought for you. He fought for his brothers and his sisters. He fought for you. He treated me like family. The minute he realized, he did everything that he could to help, even when he was going through split personalities but you…" Nico said, his voice turning colder than Stygian Iron.
"You did nothing. You did nothing except make excuses for your own mistakes and made plans to resolve them which made them worse. You exploited us demigods. You killed your own champion and did nothing to revive him. You might have felt sorrow when he died by the arrow's hand but did nothing when it was you who caused his death. You wouldn't have minded if your brothers' and husband's kids would have been killed. You wouldn't have cared at all if Thalia would have cared. You only cared about Jason because he was given to you. Had he not, you wouldn't have minded killing him either. I can admit that my dad did make mistakes and is not perfect but our dads would have waged war against the world, they would have waged war against you if something would have happened to us." He continued
Hera was speechless. She looked around the room and then at Zeus and Jason who had kept quiet throughout this whole drama. Hera gazed at Zeus who swallowed.
"Honey, I love you but…but I can't agree with you here. Poseidon and Hades did a much better job than me…than us at raising any of our kids. I cannot agree with you calling them deadbeats especially in Percy and Nico's lives. There is a certain distance that gods have to maintain with the mothers or fathers of our children when they are born mostly to keep them out of danger and that was known to both Sally Jackson and Maria di Angelo so you cannot call them deadbeats when both of them had tried to be in Percy's and Nico's lives as much as they could." Zeus said to her with a slightly apologetic look. "Even if it went against the rules." He said, then looking at Poseidon and Hades with a slight amused look to let them know that he knew about that. Hades and Poseidon looked a little surprised but smiled nonetheless.
Persephone and Amphitrite along with the help of Annabeth and Will were trying to keep Tyson, Hazel, Percy and Nico under control. Percy had his eyes closed as he tried to calm the storm that was waging outside while Nico kept the ghosts underneath and back under his observation. Triton was unnervingly quiet and Tyson was looking close to breaking some furniture and Hazel was being comforted by Frank.
"And here I thought that after our vows, you were supposed to be on my side." Hera snapped at Zeus and stormed out. Zeus flinched at that but said nothing. Thalia snorted in disgust.
"He can't support the wrong thing even if there are vows. None of the hunters would kill any men without reason just because we have a 'no lover policy'." She shook her head. Artemis nodded.
"Guys, I think we should just read. It's going to help us calm us all down…well at least some of us." Castor said "The ones facing an internal war have a different story." He muttered ominously which everybody heard. Dionysus looked at him then at Hermes, Ares, Poseidon, Zeus and Hades and nodded in agreement. Here he thought that they were all making progress…but then again, he revised the conversations that took place in their heads and as he got a hint (with Apollo's help) of what certain people in the room were facing. There was no denying that they had made progress.
"I'll read." Nico said and nobody dared to object even if they were without a member.
