Hello, everyone. This has been a tough week as I was laid off by my job and it's really hard to find a stable work now. I just want everyone to know that there might be times I won't be updating frequently as I'm looking for a job. But I promise to do as much as I can during this summer break.

But here we are, the second to last arc of this series. Let's get to it.

Chapter 01: Seven Seas Battle

Fusion Dimension – Academia

Despite most of the Academia soldiers having abandoned the ARC Area Project, Leo was able to swiftly get more students to enroll into the campus and he also increased the intensity of the curriculum so that everyone would use powerful cards.

"How much longer will it take to break open the seal?" Leo asked Eve.

"Unfortunately, since I didn't defeat Yuya when he had the key, it's taking longer to break it." Eve said.

"Well, hurry it up! The Dimension Guardians will be heading this way and I want to start turning all the people in the four dimensions into cards!" Leo ordered. "The ARC Area Project and Revival Zero needs to get moving along! I want my daughter and my home back!"

"You may want it, but she might not be happy. I mean, you are basically fighting your own grandson." Eve said.

"My daughter would never bear that Devil's spawn!" Leo smashed his fist against his throne, destroying one of the arm rests. "Ray is my only family…that's all that matters to me."

"You say that but you gave out orders to bring Reiji to you. Could it be that you still care about your son?" Eve asked.

"I gave that order because I know none of these idiots can take him out. I'm the only one that can outdo that feeble straightforward mind of his. And I'll prove that I don't care about him when I kill him myself!" Leo said.

"He may be straightforward but you are narrow minded. You're only focusing on Yuya and Reiji that you're neglecting the other potential threats." Eve showed a screen of some Duelists.

"There's Shingo Sawatari, he's mastered multiple summoning methods like Yuya and Reiji, and like them is in possession of one of the Three God Cards, and might I add that it's the strongest of them all."

"Then you have Katsuya Jonouchi, Asuka Tenjoin, Rua Godwin and Rio Kamishiro, they've all gained the other summon methods during their fights in the Synchro and Xyz Dimension. Not to mention that they each have a connection to a greater power that some of them aren't even aware of."

"And then there's the targets, Yuzu Hiiragi, Serena Andersen, Rin Hogan and Ruri Kurosaki. They managed to use Nature Dragons and evolve them beyond what we've believed."

Pictures of Jack Atlas, Edo Phoenix, Kaito Tenjo and Johan Andersen appeared. "Not to mention they have gathered are strong array of Duelists that they can be legends in their own right. You can't honestly think that they're not threats." Eve argued.

"That's because they're not! They all have one thing in common! They're noble which is why I gave each Duelist here a card that can turn the tides into their favor! I told you; I will do whatever it takes for these projects to succeed!" Leo said. "Now do as your told!"

"Very well…" Eve sighed. "Can I ask you something?"

"What?" Leo glared.

"Yusho and I told you the truth of what happened, so why are you blaming Zarc for what happened?" Eve asked.

"I understand your pain of wanting to get back together with someone you love and I understand Yusho's anger towards Zarc. The Ryuga family has done nothing but trouble in the United World." Leo growled.

"Care to explain in detail?" Eve asked.

"When I introduce the Real Solid Vision to the Duel Monsters game, it revolutionized our way of life." Leo said. "And when you explained to me of Genesis Omega Dragon's plan to further evolve the United World into the paradise you dreamed of, I knew that we were on the right path to a utopia."

"I've always wondered why you never came to use after we first met. Because you didn't evolve the Real Solid Vision system to our expectations, we had to come up with an alternative." Eve said. "We had to make the United World be a phoenix. Burn it down to a pile of ashes before creating a brand-new world with better results."

"When I shared it with others, they were all thrilled at the prospect of further evolution and agreed to help enhance the system until…" Leo said.

United World – Board Meeting

"Leo Akaba, this theory of the promised land may help everyone reach the apex of human evolution. But before we move further, we must put it into a vote, and it must be unanimous if we are to move forward with the evolution of the Real Solid Vision." The Director explained.

"Of course, sir." Leo nodded.

"All those in favor of further evolution of the Real Solid Vision?" The Director asked. Almost instantly, every hand that the director saw went up.

"All those oppose?" The Director asked. He looked around slowly and just as when he thought no hands were raised, he looked directly to his right-hand man who had his hand raised. It was Zarc's grandfather.

"Why?!" Leo growled at Zarc's grandfather. "Why do you oppose this plan?!"

"Calm down, Mr. Akaba. Mr. Ryuga has been my right-hand man for many years. Furthermore, he has seen more of the world and has wisdom beyond even that of a seer." The Director said. "And I'm sure we all have learned from him as he approved and trained every board member that is present." The other board members agreed and nodded.

"Speak, Yuichi." The Director called Zarc's Grandfather by his name.

"Thank you, Director." Yuichi walked around the room. "I, for one, am grateful to the invention of the Real Solid Vision system. It has made Duel Monsters a more fun game that we all can enjoy. Whether you're like me an old man, or even a child just learning, Duel Monsters has brought many people together." Everyone nodded in agreement.

"And I'm sure you all know of my grandson, Zarc." Yuichi said.

"Oh, I love Zarc!"

"Great kid!"

"Bright future!"

"My kids love him!"

"Thank you, you're too kind." Yuichi said. "But regarding my grandson…he has…shall we say…an ability to speak to Duel Monsters."

"Speak to Duel Monsters?" A member asked.

"It does sound far-fetched, but we must remember the history of how the game was created, by our founder, Pegasus J. Crawford." Yuichi looked at a portrait of Pegasus. "His journey to Egypt, shed some light on how these monsters were created. And thanks to the Real Solid Vision, we can actually interact with them, but what if the Real Solid Vision gave them more?"

"What are you saying?" Leo narrowed his eyes.

"You've all seen my grandson in action. He rides with his monsters, speaks to them and he was able to achieve victory with them. What if these monsters…are not that different from us. What if they feel what we feel, think like we think?" Yuichi explained.

"Most of us see them as nothing more than tools to satisfy our entertainment. But if they have souls and hearts, and by giving them actual bodies with the Real Solid Vision, what if they make a choice to retaliate?" Yuichi said.

"I understand what you're saying." The Director said. "You're saying that if we continue to treat these Duel Monsters like tools and not like we treat each other, they could use the Real Solid Vision for their own use and wage war against us."

"Duel Monsters can connect to anyone so long as they are treated with respect. That's why Zarc is able to communicate well with his dragons. He doesn't see them as tools, but as his friends. That makes them loyal to their master. But the others…"

"Now that you mention it, when my kid got upset that he lost a Duel, he blamed his cards and for a brief second, I thought that monster was gonna attack him. It had that look of anger and hate." A board member spoke.

"While I understand that evolution may help us reach higher planes, we need to take a step back, reevaluate what Duel Monsters means to us and strengthen the bonds we have. My grandson has proposed a learning curriculum to help strengthen the connection between Duelist and Monsters. If we can master that, then we can reach a higher plane of evolution." Yuichi proposed. This got other members discussing.

"Order! Order!" The Director slammed his gavel to get everyone quiet.

"Director, I trust this board will make the right decision. Call another vote and this time I will abstain. If everyone is unanimous to Leo Akaba's proposal, I'll change my vote." Yuichi proposed.

"All those in favor of Leo Akaba's proposition?" The Director asked. This time, no hands were raised which made Leo furious.

"All those oppose?" All hands were raised.

"What are you all fools?!" Leo got angry. "This could help us and the sooner we start, the better the world will be!"

"I understand your frustration, Mr. Akaba. But Mr. Ryuga is right, we will hold off on further evolution of the Real Solid Vision System indefinitely. Meeting adjourned." The Director slammed his gavel.

Academia – Professor's Chamber

"I will never forgive the Ryuga Family." Leo said. "And I refuse to believe that my daughter would be infatuated with one of their kind! Yuya Ryuga is not my grandson! He is nothing to me! I will kill him with my own two hands!"

"And what if you daughter disagrees?" Eve asked. "A mother would do anything for their child."

"Then when she is revived, I'll erase her memories of anything to involve Zarc and Yuya." Leo answered.

"You can't erase memories, no matter how hard you try." Eve advised.

"Watch me." Leo started working on a device. "Now do your job."

Eve sighed before walking off. "Deal with it for now. Adam, we'll be together again soon."

Duel Academia

Right now, some students were either hanging out around at the courtyard, practicing Dueling with each other or simply enjoying a delicious Duel Bread, where they wouldn't know what kind unless they took a bite.

In a classroom, some students were either listening to a professor explaining some card techniques or they were dozing off as the lecture was too boring.

"In such an example, you would use Fusion to—"

A loud siren went off throughout the entire school, alarming the current students, teachers and other faculty workers.

"Soldiers! Academia is under attack! I repeat Academia is under attack report to your posts and prepare for battle!" A teacher shouted and all the students started running and getting their Duel Disks and decks.

A troop of Obelisk Force Soldiers headed out to their positions when one of them stopped in his place as he looked out the window.

"What's wrong, Rookie?" A soldier noticed him stop.

"There's too many…" The one that stopped pointed out. Sailing towards Academia was hundreds of ships, all full of Duelists and fighters with the goal of defeating Academia.

"It's gonna be a tough fight, but trust your instincts and above all, obey the Professor!" The Obelisk Force Soldier ordered.

"But sir, the Professor said the ARC Area Project was a method to bring unity? If that's true, then why are their ships coming to attack us instead of helping us?" The soldier asked again.

"Well, that's…look we just have to follow our orders. If we do that, we'll be fine. Now go to your station Atem!" The Soldier headed with his squad.

The lone Obelisk Force Soldier, now known as Atem looked at the sailing ships. "Father…what do I do?"

Guardians Main Ship

The Guardians were preparing themselves for their biggest fight yet. They were about to infiltrate enemy territory.

"Before we can get into the castle, Academia has produced a barrier that tampers with the Real Solid Vision system of any Duel Disks that is not part of the Fusion Dimension. As long as its up, we can't storm the castle with our monsters." Edo explained.

"Anyway, we can take down the barrier?" Yuya asked.

"Yes, there are Seven Pillars, each of them being protected by a powerful Duelists, we defeat those Duelists, we'll be able to break in.

"Seven Pillars. Okay, we'll split into eight teams. The seven teams will head towards a pillar and take out the Duelists, while the eighth team leads the charge with our allies." Yuya came up with the plan. "Here are the teams."

Guardians Ship – Front

Yuya looked out towards the horizon as Duel Academia started to appear in sight. He looked down at the Hero's Honor Duel Disk he was wearing. "I will…protect these dimensions."

"Yuya…"

Yuya looked behind him as Serena approached him. "Hey, you're wearing it." Yuya saw that Serena was wearing the pendant he gave her. "Looks good on you."

"Thanks…" Serena smiled. She then looked out towards Academia. "This is it…"

"Yeah…" Yuya said.

Serena reached and held Yuya's hand. "Don't you dare lose any of your Duels."

"I won't, I promise." Yuya promised.

Yuya and Serena then heard horns and they saw a multitude of Academia boats and ships beginning to sail towards them. "I'll see you at the island." Yuya said.

"You better." Serena let go of Yuya's hand and ran to her position.

Reiji and Sawatari joined Yuya by his side. "The time has come to end this war with Academia." Reiji fixed his glasses.

"Time got show these guys the power of the Guardians." Sawatari smirked.

Yuya raised his hand and swung it forth. "Sail forward!" All the ships sailed towards Academia with a multitude of Duelists from all four dimensions on board and prepared for war.

Dimension Guardians' Ship - Submarine Hanger

Seven submarines were getting ready to drop as the seven teams went into their respective ones.

Team 1

"Alright, time to show those Academia punks how we do things back in Standard!" Jonouchi declared.

"Right!" Yuzu agreed.

"I am ready to fight!" Tsukikage bowed.

Team 2

"Remember, we have to make sure that we take out the pillars for the others to begin their attack!" Asuka said.

"Understood." Kaito agreed.

"I, Jack Atlas, will not lose to Academia!" Jack declared.

Team 3

"This submarine is a little tight." Gongenzaka winced.

"Don't worry, with me behind the wheel, we'll get there before you get too claustrophobic." Crow smirked as he took the controls.

"Just get us there in one-piece, Big Brother." Rin buckled herself in.

Team 4

"This is it. We're almost at the end." Rio sweated.

"We'll end this and go home to everyone." Ruri was determined.

"We're ready." Shun said.

Team 5

"You ready?" Johan asked Serena.

"Y-Yeah…" Serena held on to the pendant that Yuya gave her.

"Hang on, Duel Academia. We're coming to save ya." Dennis declared.

Team 6

"To think I would return to Academia as a traitor." Edo chuckled. "It's ironic."

"You didn't betray Academia; you were trying to save it." Jim assured Edo

"We're gonna get ready to dive." O'Brien readied the controls.

Team 7

"It's almost time." Manjoume was prepared to hit the release button.

"This is it…" Aki took deep breaths. She then noticed Rua looking at the locket with the picture of his family on it. "You'll see here again." Aki comforted Rua.

"I know…" Rua smiled. "A hero always keeps his promises."

Team 8

"Looks like everyone is in position." Sawatari said.

"Begin the drop in 3…2…1…Drop!" Reiji counted down and the seven submarines dropped into the ocean and began heading towards Academia.

"Good luck, guys. We're counting on you." Yuya said. Yuya then looked out to see Academia soldier with Antique Gear Monsters aiming their guns at the ship.

"You guys ready?" Reiji asked.

"Always." Sawatari psyched himself up.

"Let's go!" Yuya shouted.

Yuya, Reiji and Sawatari activated their Duel Disks. "Pendulum Summon!" The three of them summoned multiple monsters.

"Charge!" Yuya shouted and the ships sailed faster towards Academia.

"Attack!" The Academia Soldiers sailed away from the port to intercept the Dimension Guardians.

The Antique Gear monsters fired their guns but Yuya's, Reiji's and Sawatari's Pendulum Monsters reflected their shots and even took out some of their ships.

"Uh, guys!" Sawatari pointed to the starboard bow where a pirate ship was heading towards them.

"Brace yourself!" Reiji quickly held a rail. Yuya and Sawatari quickly anchored themselves as the pirate ship slammed right into the Guardians ship.

"Cut the head and the body falls!" A pirate shouted as his crew charged onto the Guardians ship. Two of his men faced Yuya and Reiji. Both of them activated their Duel Disks.

"Fooled ya!" Both the pirates fired a red chain but they didn't connect to Yuya's or Reiji's Duel Disks. The red chains connected together between Yuya and Reiji, causing both of them to get distracted enough for the pirates to run around them and tie them up.

"Hey!" Yuya shouted.

"Damn it, I can't reach my deck." Reiji struggled.

"Hang on!" Sawatari was gonna run when a sword almost sliced him, making him stop.

"Hahahaha, you are so easy to read." The captain of the pirate ship approached the trio.

"That was a cheap move." Sawatari growled. "Though I should've expected from a pirate, they don't have honor."

"I'll gladly accept the compliment. Please to meet ya, I'm Captain Solo." Solo introduced himself. "Now, I've been under orders to take these two to Leo Akaba as well as eliminate anyone who is a threat to Academia."

"Captain! We searched the entire ship, there's no one else here." A crew member reported.

"What? But there should've been more on this ship?" Solo was confused.

"Sir, we discovered a hanger of submarines, they're all gone." Another pirate reported.

"So, an underwater infiltration. Clever." Solo turned to the trio. "And you three stayed behind as the bait. Well, no matter. Our comrades on land will take care of your allies and capture those girls in the process. With two of you out of commission, you are the last obstacle in our way." Solo looked at Sawatari.

"Heh, well it's too bad you picked the wrong opponent. Because I'm the Guardians' secret weapon." Sawatari activated his Duel Disk.

"Oho? Then show me how you are the secret weapon. But like you said, I'm a pirate, I have no honor." Solo activated his Duel Disk.

"Error. Error. Unable to activate Field Magic." Sawatari's Duel Disk went off.

"What?" Sawatari questioned.

"We know that you all have achieved victory using that infernal Dimension Gate Field Magic. That's why we blocked access from you all using it! Now you can't use it to get your way out of a tight spot." Solo explained.

"Hmph, fine then. I'll show you that we don't need it to kick your ass!" Sawatari prepared himself.

"Duel!" Sawatari and Solo declared.

Solo LP: 4000, Hand: 5
Sawatari LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"Before we begin, let's make things interesting. Boys!" Solo snapped his fingers and his crew mateys hung Yuya and Reiji over the water.

"What are you doing?! I thought you were ordered to bring them to Leo Akaba?" Sawatari exclaimed.

"I was ordered, but he never specified dead or alive." Solo laughed.

"You bastard! Taking hostages…" Sawatari caught himself before he had a look of shame. "I'm one to talk."

"You're not that person anymore, Sawatari!" Yuya shouted. "You've changed and you're stronger!"

"Sawatari, you are the pride of LDS! Show them the power of the strongest student of LDS!" Reiji encouraged.

"Yuya…Reiji…" Sawatari nodded. "Let's do this, Captain Scum!"

"It's Solo!" Solo barked. "And I will start this Duel! My turn! Draw!" Solo drew his card. "From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Fusion! I fuse Pirate Ship Skull Blood with Skull Knight from my hand!" The two cards entered the spiraling vortex.

"Red Skull Mariner aboard the ship of dead souls! Black Knight lurking in the darkness! Now join as one and awaken as the Legendary Pirate! Fusion Summon! Show yourself! Captain Lock (ATK: 0, LV: 6)!" Solo summoned a pirate that had a gun for a hand and a sword as the other.

"A monster with 0 Attack Points." Yuya looked up at the Duel.

"It must have a Monster Effect." Reiji analyzed.

"That's right." Solo answered. "As long as Captain Lock is face-up on the field, both players are forbidden from Normal Summoning or Special Summoning monsters from their hands! Furthermore, they can't set monsters either!"

"Next, I activate the Equip Magic: Power Crystal! This lets Captain Lock gain 800 Attack Points!" Solo powered up his monster.

Captain Lock (ATK: 0→800)

"Let me tell you something. If there's a monster with 1000 or more Attack Points on the field, Captain Lock will be destroyed." Solo said.

"Sawatari's options are limited, but he still has a chance." Yuya said.

"Yes, he can either Fusion Summon…" Reiji said one option.

"Or increase Captain Lock's Attack Points above 1000." Sawatari said the other option.

"Don't think it will be that easy." Solo shrugged his shoulders. "I set one card and activate the Field Magic: Duelists Graveyard!" All around the ship were damaged Duel Disks that were buried in the ground.

"What is this?" Sawatari looked around.

"You'll see soon enough. I end my turn." Solo finished.

Solo LP: 4000, Hand: 0
Sawatari LP: 4000, Hand: 0

"My turn!" Sawatari looked at his hand. "He thinks he has me sealed, but I'll show him how wrong he is."

"Draw!" Sawatari drew his new card. "Yes! I activate the Magic Card: Abyss Fusion! From my hand, I fuse Abyss Actor – Wild Hope and Abyss Actor – Pretty Heroine!" Sawatari's two actors appeared on the field and entered the spiraling vortex.

"Actor of the Wild West! Actor of Female Warriors! Now is the time to become one and give birth to a new actor! Fusion Summon! Let's go! Level 6! Abyss Beast – Noble Steed (ATK: 2000, LV: 6)!" Appearing was a steed that neighed proudly as it prepared itself to charge.

"You fell for it! Duelists Graveyard's effect activates!" Solo shouted. The Duel Disk all flew from their resting places and swirled around Sawatari and Noble Steed.

"Wh-What?!" Sawatari was caught off guard. The Duel Disks then consumed Noble Steed and it was destroyed and Sawatari was knocked off his feet.

Sawatari LP: 4000→3000

The Duel Disks then went back into the ground. "Ow…what was that all about?" Sawatari saw Captain Lock still on the field.

"Field Magic: Duelists Graveyard. Once per turn, when the opponent Special Summons a monster from the Extra Deck, that Special Summon is negated and the monster is destroyed. Additionally, the opponent takes 1000 points of damage." Solo said.

Sawatari looked at his hand. "I set one card and end my turn." Sawatari finished.

"At this moment, Duelists Graveyard's other effect activates! At the End Phase of the opponent's turn, for every monster in the opponent's Graveyard, they take 200 points of damage! You have three because you fuse your Pendulum Monsters in your hand, so you take 600 points of damage!" Sawatari was struck by lightning.

Sawatari LP: 3000→2400

"Looks like my father created the perfect weapons against those that use multiple summon methods."

"But a card like that has to have some kind of risk." Yuya pointed out.

Solo LP: 4000, Hand: 0
Sawatari LP: 2400, Hand: 2

"My turn! Draw!" Solo drew his card. "During my Standby Phase, I must take 800 points of damage due to Duelists Graveyard's cost!" Solo was covered in red aura and grunted.

Solo LP: 4000→3200

"I activate the Magic Card: Pot of Greed! I draw two cards from my deck." Solo drew two cards. "I activate the Continuous Magic: Great Sea Battle! This card doubles any battle damage from attacks involving Water monsters I control!

"Battle! Captain Lock, attack Shingo Sawatari directly!" Captain Lock went up to a cannon and it fired at Sawatari, hitting him and sending him off his feet.

Sawatari LP: 2400→800

"I activate my Trap Card: Step In! When I take damage from a Direct Attack, I can Special Summon one Abyss Actor monster from my Graveyard or Extra Deck! Return to the field! Abyss Beast – Noble Steed (ATK: 2000, LV: 6)!" Sawatari brought back his Fusion Monster.

"And with a monster with 1000 or more Attack Points on the field, Captain Lock is destroyed!" Captain Lock was destroyed instantly. "Now, I can summon monsters from my hand." Sawatari smiled.

"But you won't win this Duel! Continuous Trap: Deadman Pirates activates! I Special Summon Captain Lock (ATK: 0, LV: 6) with its Monster Effect negated in Attack Position!" Solo summoned back his monster.

"Also, once per turn, I can select a monster in my Graveyard and turn it into an Equip Card for Captain Lock, and add its Attack Points to Captain Lock! I choose Pirate Ship Skull Blood!" Captain Lock gained Skull Blood's power.

Captain Lock (ATK: 0→1600)

"And now to assure my victory, the Equip Magic: Blackbeard's Sword!" A pirate sword appeared in Captain Lock's hands. "With this card, when Captain Lock attacks or is attacked, it's Attack Points will increase by 1000! So, if you want to destroy it, you have to summon a monster with at least 2700 Attack Points! I end my turn!" Solo finished.

"With the way his Life Points are, Sawatari cannot summon monsters from the Extra Deck, if he does, not only will the summon be negated but he'll take 1000 points of damage." Reiji observed.

"And at the end of his turn, Sawatari will take damage equal to the number of monsters in his Graveyard by 200. It's crunch time." Yuya watched.

Sawatari gulped as he started to sweat. "Even though I knew the battles coming up would be tough, it's another thing to actually be a part of them." Sawatari looked at his last two cards. "I can summon monsters from my hand, but none of them are strong enough." Sawatari put his fingers on his deck.

"My turn!" Sawatari looked at his deck. "Please, answer me!"

"Draw!" Sawatari drew his card. "It's do or die now! I activate the Magic Card: Abyss Casino!" The area around Sawatari changed into a giant casino with slot machines, card tables, roulette wheels.

"What's this?" Solo was confused.

"Abyss Casino, this card is my last chance to defeat you. By paying half of my Life Points and sending the remaining cards in my hand to the Graveyard, I play a game that you decide. Now, pick one." Sawatari ordered.

Sawatari LP: 800→400

"I don't know what you're planning, but I choose the slots! With slots you can't stop it on your own!" Solo shouted.

"I was hoping you would pick that one." Sawatari smiled. The slot machine hovered over Sawatari. "Here goes nothing!" Sawatari pulled the lever and the slots began to spin.

Everyone watched in anticipation as the slots kept spinning and spinning until the suddenly stopped and three 7's appeared.

"Alright! Lucky 7!" Sawatari smiled. "Due to this effect, I'm allowed to choose any two cards in my deck and add them to my hand!" Sawatari picked his cards.

"It doesn't matter what you pick, I can easily negate your Special Summoning from the Extra Deck! Furthermore, my monster is stronger than your Fusion Monster! I've won!" Solo laughed his head off.

Sawatari smirked before showing one of the cards he chose and Solo instantly panicked. "A-A Ritual Magic?!"

"You think Academia would learn by now not to underestimate us." Yuya smiled.

"It seems my father has made a grave miscalculation." Reiji agreed.

"From my hand, I activate the Ritual Magic: Abyss Absolute Advent!" Sawatari played his Ritual Magic. "This card allows me to perform a Ritual Summon by either releasing monsters in my hand and field or returning them from my Graveyard to my deck!"

"What?!" Solo exclaimed.

"From my Graveyard, I return Wild Hope and Pretty Heroine!" The two actors popped out of the Graveyard and went to the altar and became eight blue flames.

"Actor that has become a legend to countless generations, now is the time to prove that you are still the true star! Ritual Summon! Descend! Level 8! Abyss Legend – Emmy Star (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" A red carpet rolled out and appearing was a fiend actor in a suit and he struck a pose.

"Damn it…" Solo cursed. "But, even if you attack, the damage that I will take is only 2400! I still have a chance!"

"Is that so?" Sawatari asked.

"I activate Noble Steed's effect! Once per turn, it can become an Equip Card and double the Attack Points of the equipped monster!" Noble Steed went up to Emmy Star and Emmy Star got on and the horse neighed.

Emmy Star (ATK: 3000→6000)

"I'll still have Life Points!" Solo repeated.

"I activate Emmy Star's effect! Once per turn, I can banish an Abyss Script in my Graveyard to activate its effect!" Sawatari shouted. "The script I banish is… Abyss Script – Legend of the Knight! With this, when an Abyss Actor attacks a monster, the effects of all Magic and Trap Cards on the opponent's field are negated!"

"Since Captain Lock got its powerups from those cards, if their effects are negated…" Reiji realized.

"Captain Lock's Attack Points will be 0." Yuya smiled.

"Battle! Emmy Star, Noble Steed! Attack Captain Lock!" As both knight and star charged the Abyss Script changed Emmy Star into a knight with a lance and Captain Lock got weaker.

Captain Lock (ATK: 1600→0)

"Piercing Lance Stab!" Noble Steed charged faster and Emmy Star pulled back his lance before thrusting it right through Captain Lock's chest, destroying it and sending Captain Solo flying back to his ship.

Solo LP: 4000→0

Winner: Shingo Sawatari

"Captain!" Solo's crew mates cried out for their captain. Noble Steed then glared at both of them and the two of them quickly pulled Yuya and Reiji back on the ship, released them from their chains and ran away in fear.

"Nice one, Sawatari." Yuya praised.

"That'll teach them to mess with us." Sawatari gave a thumb up.

"Don't think this is over! Men aim the cannons!" Solo shouted from his ship.

"Uh, Captain…" The crew mates were as pale as ghosts as they pointed upwards.

"What?!" Solo was getting frustrated but when he looked up, all confidence was drained. Above him were the three Nordic Gods, Zushin, Gustav Max and Water Dragon. "Eh…Parlay?" Solo whimpered.

The monsters destroyed the pirate ship and sending Solo and his crew flying across the sea and into the unknown.

"Thanks guys!" Yuya waved to their allies.

Academia – Professor's Chamber

Leo watched with frustration as Solo failed his mission. He opened a window and the face of a large muscular man with gray hair and mustache appeared. "Professor." The man bowed.

"Launch it, Sanders." Leo ordered.

"Understood." Sanders pressed a red button on his control panel.

Academia – Beach

The seven submarines made it to the beach and the other Guardians stepped out of it and stretched their legs. "Finally, here." Jonouchi moaned.

"Okay, guys. Let's do our part and—" Asuka was gonna tell the team their strategy again when a loud sound echoed across the beach.

"What's going on?" Ruri was confused.

"There!" Dennis pointed to the side where a small cannon came out of the cliff side.

"Are they gonna shoot down the ships from here?" Kaito asked.

However, the cannon didn't fire a cannonball, it instead dropped a small missile like object into the water. "Huh? That's kind of—" Crow was gonna say anticlimactic when the missile suddenly sped towards the ships.

"It's an underwater missile!" Serena quickly went to her Duel Disk.

"Hey, did you guys make it?" Yuya asked.

"Yuya, get out of there! They fired a missile!" Serena shouted.

Guardians Main Ship

"A missile, but we don't see—" The ship suddenly lurched to the side, knocking Yuya, Reiji and Sawatari off balance.

"It came from underwater." Reiji grunted. The ship then started to sink down to the side.

"Oh, crap! Run!" Sawatari shouted as he, Reiji and Yuya quickly ran to one of the life boats.

"Fire!" The Antique Gear monsters fired more shots and this time, destroyed Yuya's, Reiji's and Sawatari's monsters. It also destroyed the life boat before they could get on.

"Damn it, we're stuck!" Yuya cursed.

The ship kept getting hit more and more before it couldn't hold anymore and it collapsed, sending Yuya, Reiji and Sawatari into the water.

Sander's Office

Sanders laughed as he watched the destruction of the Guardian ship. "You were fools to take on Academia!" Sanders then typed in a code on the computer.

"Now to use the Real Solid Vision System as it was meant to be used!" Sanders pressed enter on his keyboard.

Academia Oceans

Yuya came up and gasped for air. "Reiji! Sawatari!" Yuya called out as he looked around.

"Here!" Sawatari called out as he and Reiji were holding onto a piece of floating wood.

Yuya quickly swam to them and grabbed onto the floating wood.

"Hang on, President!" Nakajima shouted from another ship.

"Big Brother!" Reira shouted with worry.

Suddenly, the water around them started to shift. "What now?!" Sawatari shouted.

"Damn it, a maelstrom!" Reiji cursed.

Yuya, Reiji and Sawatari screamed as they were being sucked into the maelstrom and the ships couldn't get close to them without risking getting suck in.

"Quick, summon your monsters!" Nakajima ordered.

"System Shut Down. System Shut Down." Multiple Duel Disks of the Guardian's allies started to shut down.

Academia – Beach

"No!" Serena cried out.

"Impossible…" Gongenzaka couldn't believe what happened.

"You fools were never in control." A giant hologram of Leo Akaba appeared so that everyone could see. "Did you really think you could invade us?"

"You bastard!" Shun cursed.

"My soldiers who are on the island, eliminate the remainder of the Dimension Guardians, but bring me Yuzu Hiiragi, Serena Andersen, Rin Hogan and Ruri Kurosaki!" Leo ordered.

"And the soldiers at the sea, their guardians are gone! Invade all four dimensions, take prisoners, seal them into cards!" Leo ordered.

Multiple ships began to disappear while some continued to head to their allies.

Allied Ships

"Reiji!" Himika shouted in worry as she looked at the maelstrom.

"President!" Nakajima shouted.

"Big Brother!" Reira cried out.

Academia ships began surrounding all of the boats and soldiers started charging in. The allies all fought back the best they could, but Academia was dishonorable and turned many of them into cards while taking the others as prisoners.

Standard Dimension – Mayor's Office

"My boy! My boy!" Mayor Sawatari cried as he was watching what was happening on his TV.

His door then burst open and multiple Obelisk Force Soldiers charged in and grabbed him. "Get your hands off me you murderers!" Mayor Sawatari cursed as they took him away. He also watched in horror as Academia Soldiers turned his staff into cards.

Standard Dimension – Sakaki Residence

Academia Soldiers burst into the Sakaki Residence where the You Show group was taking refuge.

"Let us go!" Tatsuya cried as he was tied up with Ayu and Futoshi.

"Don't you hurt my students!" Shuzo shouted.

"Shut up, old man!" An Academia solider struck Shuzo.

The Academia soldiers started breaking everything in the house, including pictures of Yuya and Yoko and they started pouring gasoline all over the place.

"You monsters!" Yoko shouted in anger as two soldiers tied her up.

"Burn it all!"

The Soldiers dropped matches and the entire Sakaki Residence caught on fire.

Academia – Leo Akaba's Chamber

Leo smiled as he saw the destruction take place. "It's done." Eve appeared and held out three cards.

"Yes…" Leo smiled as he took the Three Phantasm cards. "With this, the ARC Area Project and Revival Zero reach their final stage!" Leo put the three cards into the machine and cards started flooding into the machine as people across all four dimensions that did their best to hide from Academia, were turned into spirit energy and into the ARC Area machine.

Academia – Beach

"No…" Yuzu covered her mouth as she cried.

"This can't be…" Ruri felt the light in her eyes disappear.

"Tell me this is a dream. Tell me it's not real…" Rin closed her eyes and put her hands on her ears.

Serena grasped the pendant around her neck as she screamed in frustration that it echoed throughout the dimensions.

And that is the end of the first chapter of the Fusion Arc. What did you all think? Was it good? Are you excited for more?
