Chapter 1: A new Friend
Jeane Mallio felt the cold water run over his bruised arm. He winced as pain spiked up the purple mark.
Not even a day and im already being bullied. Scolding himself about not fighting back.
No one is gonna respect you if you act like a doormat. He remembered that is what his father told him when jeane was younger.
The boy felt his chest tighten and his fist clench. If only I could show those bullies that im not one to be messed with.
A memory of that big jerk ned leeds flashed. The jock slammed jeane into a locker pretending that it was a joke. The snicker was like a dagger from hell stabbing his preys heart.
Jeane calmed himself because he knew that he was a weakling and there was no way he would do a thing to someone like Ned.
The mirror over the sink showed the boy who his true self. Black pixie cut hair, patsy white skin, and emerald green eyes. Skin and bones would be too generous for his figure as he lacked any sense of muscle.
Shaking his head Jeane knew he would never be a tough guy.
I wish someone would help me become a man like my dad. Like a silent prayer to whoever would listen jeane clasped his hands to his chest.
The bathroom door opened with a swoosh, cold air flowing in from the air conditioner outside the school.
Standing in the doorway stood a five foot five girl dressed in gray sweater and skirt with their school crest on the left-side of her chest. Her hair was dirty blond and cut into half undercut style that favoured the left with the right nearly bald.
Her blue eyes like pools of a deep ocean.
"Uh, miss? This is the boys bathroom… I don't think you're supposed to be in here." Jeane stammered taking steps to cover his arm.
The girl turned around and locked the door to the bathroom.
"W-Why are you locking the d-door." He asked, not believing what was happening. Taking a couple steps back when he met her eye as she her head to look back at him.
The girl then took a slow strut toward Jeane, her eyes locked on him. The clicking of her boot heel on the bathroom tiles echoed through the room.
Jeane stumbled back, matching her step for step until his back touched the wall.
The girl closed the distance and planted her hands on either side of jeane's head cutting off any escape.
"W-what do you want?" he asked, his heart racing.
The girl leaned in close until her and his lips were almost touching. "I've been watching you."
Those four words shook jeane to his core, making him wish he could back up more. He could smell her perfume a sweet scent and the look in her eyes made his heart skip a beat.
"What do you want?" he repeated.
The girl said nothing just staring deep into his eyes.
"You have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen." she complimented, her eyes scanning him from head to toe.
"T-thank you, but I need to get ready to go home." He made no move to get past her in case she was a violent one. He couldn't risk anymore bruises or his mom would make the situation worse.
"You're perfect you know." She said her arms leaving the wall and crossing over her chest.
"Excuse me?"
"You're smarter then anyone in this school, a straight A student since elementary school. You give money to any homeless person who crosses your path, and you're really cute." she said, her lips forming into a smile.
"How do you know this?" Jeane gulped.
"I told you I've been watching you. Looking into you. Learning everything I can… jeane mallio of 34 oakley drive new york queens." smirking the girl stepped closer to jeane and he noticed that she was a few inches taller then him and her stare reminded jeane of a predator whose cornered it's prey.
"What do you want?"
"You've asked me that three times now. You make it sound like I'm a supervillian looking to exploit you. I don't want to hurt you jeane, I want to protect you."
"P-protect me?" jeane eyeballed the exit, her being this calm when telling him how she basically knows everything about him made his flight instincts go into overdrive.
"I saw what the gorilla ned did to you. The whole team follows him around like a bunch of brain dead apes. I don't like seeing someone like you being hurt so with your permission… I'd like to be the one to keep those monkeys off your back."
"they're primates." Jeane blurted and almost face palmed himself.
"excuse me?"
"Apes and Monkeys are different species of the primate family. You called ned a gorilla and called the group monkeys."
The girl giggled her mouth open in a sweet caedance of joy.
Jeane snickered softly as well, nervous on what she might do
"You're funny too… I think we're gonna get along great."the girl extended her hand quickly.
Jeane flinched for a bit.
"Jumpy aren't ya. You don't have to worry I'll keep you safe from now on." She said in an even voice, her eyes softening toward Him.
Jeane thought about his options and decided being friends with her was better then getting bullied every day. He shook her hand. "My name's jeane but you already knew that. What's yours?"
The girl froze then a half smile crossed her lips. "Gwen… Gwen stacy."
The bell rung signaling that the school day has ended. "I need to go home now. So can I leave."
"Can you leave? Ha, you make it sound like I was holding you captive. Jeane you're gonna learn that everything I do is for your own best interest."
she walked away and jeane couldn't help but watch her go and think she looked kinda cute herself despite her creepiness.
Gwen leaned over the door extended her rear to jeanes vision and he could swear she was shaking it slightly.
The boy turned his head at the indecent display.
The girl unlocked the door. "Your free to go Prisoner." She joked.
Jeane walked toward the door when she held her hand out to stop him.
"You didn't look at my butt when I was shaking it. Does it not appeal to you?" she asked in an even tone, a sparkle in her eye.
"My M-mom says that im not supposed to look at ladies like that… it's disrespectful."
Gwen once again giggled. "Momma's boy huh and such a sweet heart. How's about I walk you home and I can meet your mother."
"No, I mean, I don't think I should just bring a girl home who I've only known for a day." Jeane gulped as he waited for her to remove her arm.
Gwen looked at him in the eyes and he could swear he saw a dark twinkle in them.
Jeane sweated as she removed her arm from the door and running it down his arm. She then leaned into his ear until he could feel her breath on his skin.
"Playing hard to get is so arousing."
Jeane felt a pinch on his rear and she then giggled. "Go on then. I'll see you tommorrow cutie."
Jeane was about to walk out when he looked at gwen whose gaze was downward toward his rear. Her head snapped upward to watch jeane leave.
'Stay beautiful Cutie."
Jeane felt his spine tingle from her words as he exited the bathroom and rushed to his locker. Praying for an end to this weird day.
