Hey everyone! It's been years since I've written a TD fanfiction, let alone a fanfiction in general... I am the writer of Kazan Island which received some minor traction before I completely lost motivation... So sorry to anybody who was waiting for more chapters (and basically everyone who had to read it cuz it was a train wreck, but I had fun lol.)
For this story, I am writing a "what-if" or a my-way season 2 for the new TD series that is kinda like a reboot to the franchise. So with this, I am not really writing a prediction of the season, more so just what I and what I think other fans want to see. I will try to treat all characters with respect and equality but the earlier boots will probably get the short end of the stick so I'm sorry for that. Leave any feedback you have and enjoy reading! I will definetely finish this one as summer break just started and I only have to write 13 episodes lol.
Chris begins speaking as he waves his hand out a limo: "Last season on Total Drama Island! Priya, Bowie, and Millie faced off in an all-out battle for 1 million dollars! Priya wasn't so happy with Millie for writing nasty fanfiction about her in her journal, to which Millie almost killed her in lava by accident by sabotaging her boat to get Priya to like her again. Millie lost the chance at the 1 million dollars, finishing in third place, but winning back the love of her best friend." He announces as the camera shows Millie and Priya's reconciliation. "Yuck!" he exclaims in disgust. "After that snooze-fest, things heated up with Bowie and Priya racing down the mountain in orbs, of which both of them puked up their delicious goat-milk delicacies. After rolling down the mountain, Priya was revealed as the winner of the new season of Total Drama: Island!" He says as a flashback of everybody celebrating Priya's win shows on screen.
Chris steps out of the limo and is revealed to be wearing his original snazzy light-blue suit from the second season of Total Drama. "In lieu of this new reboot, we're taking it back to the film site from the original Total. Drama. Action!" He exclaims excitedly while raising his arms. He begins speaking again as clips from last season play of all the contestants, "These 16 competitors will once again have a chance to compete for a huge cash prize on this retro film-lot!"
"Who will embrace the pain? Who will bring out their inner movie star? Find out right here, right now on Total. Drama. Action!"
The theme song begins and ends, showing all of the contestants scattered throughout the film lot.
Chris and Chef wait at the entrance of the film lot as a bus drives up. Lauren comes jumping out of the window, landing perfectly on her feet and clapping her hands.
"Woah!" Chris yells as he jumps out of the way, fearing for his life as the bus comes to a proper stop.
Chef pipes up, "What are you doing? You could get yourself hurt!"
Lauren turns to them, staring with soulless eyes, "I live for the pain!..." She then skips away.
"Alrighty then…" Chris lets out awkwardly before properly introducing the contestants about to walk out of the bus. "Here comes last season's winner, Priya!"
Priya walks out of the bus with Damien and Millie following right behind her. Chris begins again, "Priya! You go stand over by Scary Girl."
"What?" Priya lets out in fear as she looks over Chris's shoulder to Lauren, who is giving her a huge smile and waving.
Priya in the confessional: "Oh… I don't know if I can go through another season dealing with Scary Girl." She cries as she nervously points her fingers together. "I wouldn't even be here again if it weren't for Chris's stupid contract…"
Chris motions for Millie and Damien to join them, "Also joining those two will be the best-friend betrayer and the guy who doesn't know what Total Drama is!"
"Hey!" They both outcry as Chris grins with self satisfaction.
Damien in the confessional: "Well obviously I know what Total Drama is NOW! After last season's embarrassment, I've really got to prove myself!... Y'know, now that I actually understand how it works, hehe."
Millie and Damien join Priya and Lauren. Millie and Priya smile and giggle at each other before they're distracted by the sight of Lauren standing menacingly behind Damien. He turns around, "Uh, what's she lookin' at me like that for?"
"Hey, Chris," Millie begins speaking, "When you say joining those two do you mean we're all on the same team?"
"Correctamundo!" Chris replies with enthusiasm as Julia and Nichelle walk into frame.
"Ugh, are you kidding me?" Julia whines as she rolls her eyes, "I have to be on a team with these losers?"
"Those are the rules after all," Chris replies, "Enjoy!"
Julia in the confessional: "I'm gonna have a huge target on my back for slaying so hard last season. But it doesn't matter who my teammates are, I can run circles around anybody who tries to vote me off! Or y'know, I can just carry my team to victory like how I won all those immunities last season." She proclaims as she files her nails and looks towards the ceiling, "I'm BACK baby!"
"And of course, the not-so glamorous fake-stunt actress, Nichelle!" Chris says right after Nichelle flips her glorious locks.
"Are you kidding me? That was one time!"
Nichelle in the confessional: "I may have flopped last season… literally, I mean did you see me on that obstacle course? I flopped on my butt that day more times than I ever have the rest of my life! But it doesn't matter, during the season break, I had my stunt-double Jerry training me!" She says as she gets up enthusiastically and punches the air, "Aw yeah! Who's the wo-man now?" She questions before losing her balance and falling on the camera.
The camera pans to the bus, showing Caleb helping Emma out of the bus.
"Aw, t-thanks Caleb!" She swoons and falls into his arms.
"Anytime." Caleb replies with a charming smile.
Chase follows them out of the bus, "Um, hello, Emma?"
"Oh, sorry Chase!" She replies while getting out of his arms.
Caleb walks over to the rest of the contestants, followed by Emma and Chase.
Emma walks over to the rest of the contestants, but Chase is stopped by Chris, "Woah, woah! Where do you think you're going?"
"Um, with my girlfriend?"
"Nope, go stand on the other mat buddy!" Chris retorts with confidence. "Only eight members on each team!"
"WHAT?!" Emma screams, full of rage. "You can't separate us! He's the love of my life!"
"Relax babe," Chase replies calmly. "I'll see you in the merge."
Julia leans over to Nichelle, "Yeah… like he's gonna make it that far." She whispers as Nichelle giggles.
Nichelle in the confessional: "Julia is like soooo gonna be my bff this season! I mean, I do have to face the facts… ever since my performance last season, I've been getting less and less gigs." She sighs, "Her and I might actually be on the same level of fame now! Especially after she roasted those raptors last season and gained all those followers…"
The camera returns to the contestants, Chris, and the bus. Emma is sobbing as Millie and Priya try to console her.
Chris points towards the long-necked individual walking towards him. "Zee! You're with Chase!"
"Awesome," Zee replies in an airy tone before high-fiving Chase.
"We're back in action!" Chase exclaims excitedly.
MK and Bowie are the next to come out of the bus, both of them walking slowly and keeping an eye on each other.
"Yo!" Chris shouts, "MK and Bowie, both of you individuals are quite sneaky. Looks like you're on the same team again."
Bowie in the confessional: "I do not trust MK one bit. After that stunt she tried to pull with the cameras last season, I'm gonna be keeping my eye on her."
MK in the confessional: "Aw yeah, looks like I'm back baby!" She sits in silence for a bit before jumping towards the camera and fiddling with it. "I hate to be predictable, but I'm gonna try and look at everyone's confessionals again hehe." She finishes before struggling to open the camera.
"Up next is Ripper and Axel!"
Axel glares at Ripper as he burps coming out of the bus. "Stay out of my way! You don't want me to have to kick you overboard again!"
Ripper replies, "Pfft, like I'm gonna listen to some uptight woman!"
Ripper in the confessional: "You may think I have nothing left to prove since I've already beaten the world record for longest fart, but I'm still in it to win it! I've been binging all of Bandrew Fate's alfalfa male podcasts in preparation."
Chris begins speaking again, "And finally, the last tw-" He is interrupted as Wayne and Raj start "hooting."
"HOOT HOOT!" They both chant as they run out of the bus.
Wayne and Raj in the confessional: "Hey Raji, isn't it great to be back?" Wayne questions like a puppy. "Of course bro! We're gonna make it super far this time!"
"Especially since last time we only got out cause we got absolutely rekt!"
"Yeah, it was just like that time we got tackled by the entire hockey team and the ice fell through!"
Raj goes and stands next to Bowie, blushing at him.
"Looks like we're back in Action," Bowie says flirtatiously to Raj.
"Yeah, go ahead and leave the puns to me," Chris says in a snappy tone.
The camera pans to all the contestants in a long golf cart before Chris pipes up, "As I drive you to the challenge site, there's one important thing I have to announce!" He announces before he pulls a rod-shaped wooden object out of his pocket. "This season, I'm introducing an immunity idol!"
MK, Julia, Bowie, Caleb, and Lauren all look at it with stars in their eyes.
"This puppy has a McClain seal of approval on it, and whoever finds it hidden somewhere in the film lot will be able to use it once to save their sorry butts from elimination!"
MK in the confessional: "Aw ye-eah!" She victoriously exclaims, "I'm a pro at sneaking around to find things!"
Wayne and Raj in the confessional: "Wayner, we are so gonna find that immunity idol! Remember the time you got lost in the woods on vacation and your parents invited me over to track you down?"
"Totally Raji, you saved my tail."
"Yeah, I was able to track you down by the smell of your hockey-wood cologne! Finding that wooden idol should be a sinch!"
Wayne looks directly at the camera, "Yeah, Raji is super good at chasing down wood!"
Raj goes wide-eyed from embarrassment for a second, as Wayne doesn't realize the accidental innuendo he just made.
The camera shows both teams standing separately, looking up at Chris and Chef on a stage.
"Welcome to your first challenge!" Chris announces, with a little bit of twistedness in his eyes.
"Really?" Chef questions, almost offended, "The kids haven't even eaten lunch yet, they're starving!"
"Relax," Chris replies, "There will be plenty of time to eat after today's challenge full of game and all pain! But first, you'll need some team names." He explains as he paces around the stage. "I would just give you guys the names I suggested to the network, but they said it was 'too scandalous for TV'" He says with finger-quotes. "So, you guys will have to come up with your own names. I'm sure they'll be suck-tacular!"
Axel in the confessional: "I learned a lot from last season. What a team needs isn't violence… it's bossing and ordering around!"
Ripper pipes up, "We should be named the-" He is interrupted by Axel closing his lips with her fingers.
"We'll be named the Venomous Victors!"
"Hmm, nice," Chris comments with his hand on his chin. "You guys are the Venomous Victors!" He says as a red snake logo appears on screen and the rest of Axel's team looks at her with frustration.
"And what about you losers?" Chris inquires of the other team.
The contestants yell and fight with each other over what their name should be. Emma, Lauren, and Julia can be heard in the fray with suggestions like, "6 Girls, 2 Guys, and a Beach House - Blood-sucking Bad Guys - and Happy Hotties."
Once the noise calms down, Nichelle puts her finger in the air with a lightbulb above her head. "I've got it! We'll be Team Moo'd off the Stage!"
"WHAT?" The rest of her team question in horror as a cow logo appears on screen.
Nichelle turns to them, "Isn't it a great name? It fits the movie theme so well!"
Damien replies, "I think it's udderly awful…"
Julia jumps in, "Pfft, what a lame pun… Nichelle, don't mess this up for us! The steaks are high!"
A couple of the contestants giggle before Julia face-palms so hard that it leaves a mark.
"Oh c'mon, don't have a cow," Chris mocks, "I hear it's one of Nichelle's upcoming movies."
"That's right! I'm starring as cow #3!"
Contestants laugh once again before MK retorts, "Yeah, that's sure to be a box office smash."
Nichelle in the confessional: "A girl's gotta take the roles she's given!"
"Settle down everyone, settle down," Chris commands, "This challenge will be based on the rom-com movie, as every challenge this season will be based on a movie genre."
Emma looks at Chase lovingly a few feet away, "Ooh, we love watching rom-coms together, right Chase?"
Chase turns back to her, "What's that? We're on different teams, I can't hear you!"
Chase in the confessional: "I'm so grateful to have my girlfriend back! But she can be really clingy at times…"
Chris begins explaining, "For this challenge, each team will be tasked with recording a short film of two animals falling in love!"
"Aaaw, so cute!" Emma says while smiling.
"Maybe not so cute," Chris replies, "Each team will be saddled with animals that fit their team's names. So for the Venomous Victors, a rattlesnake and a mongoose!" He shouts while throwing a crate that houses the two animals.
Damien pipes up, "Rattlesnakes and mongoose don't even interact in the wild! Mongoose are from Africa and rattlesnakes in the Americas!"
Chris replies monotonically, "Not my problem. The two of them still fight like crazy, so it's entertaining either way." He states as the crate shakes from the two animals brawling.
Axel is the one holding the crate before she tosses into Zee's hands, "Here! Catch!"
"Aaaaw, look at these two cuties!" He says as he opens the door of the crate. Just then, the snake pops out and bites his leg.
"Woah dude!" Wayne shouts, "Are you okay?"
"Sure dude," Zee replies calmly as he detaches his leg and shakes the snake back into the crate to fight with the mongoose. "I'm like, basically invincible."
"And for team Moo'd off the Stage, a cow and chicken!" Chris explains while a truck dumps the titular cow and chicken in front of the team.
"Charming…" Julia comments, disgusted.
Chef then tosses the cameras and microphones to the contestants. "Here's your recording gear, now get on stage and shoot something that'll make a grown man wet himself from laughter!"
The camera swaps to the Venomous Victors, with Zee still holding the crate as Axel stands in front of the rest of her team. "Alright victors, if you want to win, you've gotta listen to my commands!"
"What makes you think you're in charge?" Ripper argues, "You probably don't even know anything about movies!"
"Yeah-huh I do! I've seen every Warrior Zombie Princess movie, so I know how a rom-com is supposed to go down!"
"Um… what exactly happens in those movies?" Bowie questions as he looks at Raj, who then shrugs.
The camera switches over to Moo'd off the Stage, who are struggling to move the cow as they push against it.
"This is hopeless!" Priya cries as she wipes the sweat off her forehead.
Julia pipes up, "Caleb? A little help over here?"
Caleb comes over as Emma, Priya, Millie, and Nichelle swoon, "what seems to be the problem?"
"We need you to lift this animal, stat!" Julia commands.
Caleb lifts up the chicken, "easy as pie! Why couldn't you lift this yourself?"
"No! The cow!"
Caleb then puts down the chicken and lifts up Millie.
Millie in the confessional: "I wanted to be angry about that… but he's so good looking!"
"No! The other cow!" Julia yells while pointing at it.
"Ooooh, why didn't you just say so, babe?"
Caleb in the confessional: "I had just enough time between seasons to catch up on what happened. Bowie convinced everyone to vote me off for being a threat! I may be devilishly good looking AND intelligent, but I've gotta downplay my brains in order to not be seen as a threat."
Damien and Priya fiddle with the chicken to make it look presentable on their team's side of the stage. Priya begins speaking with a shaky voice, "This chicken looks kinda….. Uh, not videogenic to put it lightly."
Lauren comes hovering over, breathing down Priya's neck.
"Oh! Lauren! I didn't see you there!" Priya shrieks as she jumps into Damien's arms, which makes him smile. "If you're gonna be pissed off about last season, I-"
She is interrupted by Lauren busting out a mysterious looking box that she fiddles with, pulling multiple cosmetic items out of it and applying them to the chicken.
Nichelle walks over, "Hey guys, we're almost done with the lighting, how is- AUGH!" She yells suddenly as she faints at the sight of the chicken.
Julia runs over and looks at the goth chicken, "Are you serious? That's how we're letting this thing be seen in our scene?"
Lauren then turns around with a huge menacing looking grin.
"Yep, fine by me!" Priya replies as she backs away.
The camera switches to the Venomous Victors, as Axel quickly unlocks the crate and tosses the snake to Wayne, "wide pass!"
Wayne catches the snake but gets bit, sending him down to the ground.
"Bro…" Raj comments, "He's a hockey player not a footballer!"
"No it's okay Raji… I'll just stay down here for a few minutes…"
"Way to go taking out a team member like you did last time." Ripper mocks Axel. "We need as many hands on deck as possible to get this shot rolling!"
"The cows or whatever have already started filming, we need to pick up the pace!" She replies, trying to convince him of the urgency.
Bowie grabs the mongoose from the crate and sits it down, "Axel's right, we gotta move fast." He says as he powders the mongoose's face, as it sits there in wide-eyed shock.
Zee picks up the snake from Wayne's body as it gnaws on his leg. "Don't worry, I've totally got this guys. We're gonna shoot the best. movie. Ever!"
MK stops fidgeting with the camera they're using for recording, "Alright, I've got this puppy up and running!"
Bowie comes over and taunts her, "Oh yeah, I know you're certainly good with cameras, aren't you?"
MK ignores him and orders Zee and Bowie to get the animals into their places. Ripper pushes MK out of the way as she yells, "Hey!"
"Sorry hacker nerd, but this movie needs to be shot by a real man!"
An hour or so passes and Chris announces that time is up, "I hope you've all gotten some proper footage, Chef and I just finished dinner and we're starving for some A-list content!"
Damien rolls a TV over for them to watch, "I hope you enjoy it! Our film is called A Serenade on the Farm, with voice acting by Caleb and Nichelle."
The TV starts the film, with ambient music playing in the background as the plot commences of a forbidden love between a chicken and cow, who are forced to live on opposite sides of the farm. The cow sings a lovely song every night to communicate with the chicken, who responds back with a clucking tune of its own. They reunite in the end when the cow breaks down the fence to let all the animals roam together freely. Chris and Chef are then seen sniffling and crying as they share tissues between each other.
"That was a real tear-jerker!" Chris cries before blowing his nose. "I give that 9 points out of 10!" He exclaims while both he and Chef hold up signs saying 9/10. After he collects his composure, he invites the Venomous Victors up to the stage.
MK wheels the TV on stage, "Introducing: A Snake Sheds its Skin." She states in a sarcastic tone, not very pleased with the name.
Wayne nudges Raj's shoulder, "Great suggestion buddy!"
The TV begins to play the movie, which showcases a plot of two enemies (in this case, the titular rattlesnake and mongoose) learning to love each other. Chris and Chef originally look to be impressed with the movie, before the screen hovers down towards the floor. Ripper then speaks up, "Did we get it? Is it over?" before the film ends.
Chris starts thinking, "Hmm, seems a bit odd that nobody edited that footage out. What do you think, Chef?"
"Seems a bit unprofessional."
Axel then stomps on Ripper's foot while MK pipes up, "Wow, nice job on the camera."
Chris and Chef hold up their scoreboards, which show scores of 6/10 and 5.5/10 respectively. "This means, Moo'd off the Stage win!" The team begins celebrating as Caleb lifts Julia and Nichelle into the air. "Which means, the Venomous Victors will be the first team to boot somebody off the film lot!"
The camera swaps to Axel with MK and Bowie, "Listen guys, I know I may have been a bit harsh during the challenge, but that's only cause I want what's best for our team!"
Bowie replies, "Oh, and I'm guessing you want us to vote out Ripper then?"
"Yes!" She exclaims with vigor before retreating, "Oh, yeah, sure… that'd be fine."
"Hmm… I'll think about it." Bowie states with a mysterious tone of voice.
"Well, count me in," MK retorts, "That jerk thinks he knows more about cameras than me? Well jokes on him, I stole his wallet!" She gloats as she waves it around.
The camera swaps to Ripper sitting with Chase and Zee in the trailer. "We have got to vote out Axel, she is getting way too big for her camo's!"
Chase agrees, "I think so too! A man should always be leading!"
Emma then chimes in as she enters the room, "CHASE! Where have you been? We're supposed to meet at the campfire, remember?"
"Ahaha, coming babe!" He says in a shaking tone of voice before leaving with Emma.
The camera shows the contestants walking to the auditorium, with Bowie, Axel, and Ripper being focused on with worried faces. The camera then swaps to the elimination ceremony, where Emma is sharing the stump with Chase.
"Umm, helllooo?" Chris questions as he waves his hands at the two, "You know you can't be at the other team's elimination ceremony, right Emma?"
"Just try me!" She snaps before Chris motions to Chef, who brings out the taser, "Alright, I'm going, I'm going!" She shrieks before whispering to Chase, "Call me!" before running away.
"Ahem," Chris begins announcing while in his powder blue suit, "You know how this all works, go vote somebody out now!"
The camera swaps to a collage of the contestants writing down somebody's name on a piece of paper with serious or worried looking faces.
"Before we begin the ceremony, Chef has some words he'd like to say."
Chef then points at Axel, "Axel, you bossed your team around and threw a snake at Zee."
"Don't worry, it's s'all good man." Zee responds calmly.
Chef points at Ripper, "Ripper, you lost the challenge for your team by pushing MK away from the camera and recording the floor at the end of your short film."
"Oh c'mon! That's obviously Axel's fault…"
"How exactly is it my fault?" She asks with irritation.
Chef then points at Chase, "Chase!"
"What did I do?"
"You're just generally an annoyance… what with your relationship with Emma and all."
Bowie interrupts, "It's true, it's pretty revolting."
Chris then announces which players are safe, "MK, Bowie, Raj, Wayne, Zee, and Chase!"
All of the players are relieved as they catch their gilded Chris statues, but Bowie and MK side-eye each other.
Axel and Ripper glare at each other as Chris begins speaking, "Axel and Ripper… you two have quite the rivalry. Will Axel be kicked off for her bossy attitude once again, or will Ripper fall victim to his sub-par camera skills?"
Chris raises the marshmallow above his head, "The final player safe is...
...
...
...
...
"Axel," Chris says as he tosses it, "Who is safe with 3 votes against her."
"WHAT?" Ripper screams as he tears his shirt off.
Axel sticks her tongue out at him and chews the head off her Chris statue before Chris shouts, "Woah! Woah! Please keep it on… this is a family friendly show… for the most part."
Axel in the confessional: "Yes! I knew it would work if I just reached out to some team members! As much as my pride and expert zombie-apocalypse skills make me a lone wolf, I'll have to try harder this time to make some allies."
Chris brings Ripper along to the red carpet of shame, where Ripper asks, "So, when do I get to ride in that sweet limo?"
Just then, a helicopter comes flying down onto the red carpet, taking Ripper's balance away as he tries to stand still.
"Cool!" Ripper exclaims, "I've always wanted to ride in a helico-" He is interrupted by a helicopter cable picking him up by his shirt.
Chris lets out a maniac chuckle as Ripper is flown away into the distance, "Sorry! Limousine is for me only!"
"What will be in store for our competitors next? WIll they survive or die trying? Find out next time on Total. Drama. Action!"
The camera shows the Venomous Victors walking back to camp. MK nudges Axel's shoulder and they slow down their walking speed.
"Axel, I know you have trouble keeping your uh…. 'Temper' under control so how about I act as the brains and you, my brawn."
"Hmm… it's a deal." She replies with a stable tone as they shake hands.
