Chapter 1

The wind was blowing snow haphazardly across the city of early Musutafu, Japan.

The blizzard showers over one mansion of a certain Number 2 hero,

The lights of the home show warmth and safety from the storm.

Unfortunately the inhabitants would disagree heavily, to them this 'home' is nothing more than a prison.

If one was close enough, past the gates of the Todoroki household they would be able to hear the screaming of a enraged man and a seething woman.

"They are only children! They shouldn't be torn down and tortured like this just because you have a grudge with the number one hero enji!" The woman practically growls out, her long Snow White hair tussled. Her dark silver eyes glare at the man before her in what could only be shown as anger but barley holding the immense fear behind them.

The red haired man only scoffed in annoyance. "It's not just a grudge it's for my pride to be on top, to be number one instead of that blond oaf!

So if I can't measure up to the task than my own children shall and will!

They're going to be the ones to be number one and surpassed all might! I'm going to make sure of that. If you dare argue with me again Rei I will not hesitate to ship you off into somewhere you'll never see our offspring again." His anger rose with the heat of his quirk. His electric turquoise eyes bore into her own with determination and Promise.

Her will shatters as her eyes flick away from the stare.

"Y-Yes I.. understand, but.. please just, try to understand my own feelings on the matter. Even if you want to train them they're still children! Hell they're still four years old.. they're quirks haven't came in yet so please.."

Her pleading fades as she sees his glare harden.

The red haired man sighs in annoyance, she's right, he understands he supposes.

"Fine, but know this, once they get they're quirks I will not hesitate to train the child that has the perfect quirk to surpass that blond oaf." The man then turns on the heel of his foot and stalks down the hall toward the dojo with heavy footsteps.

The white haired woman breathes a shaky breath, filled with fear and relief.

Unbeknownst to the two adults, two young children watched the whole ordeal behind the corridor of the hall.

One child has silky straight hair, one half is a soft white while the other is a deep red. Pale unblemished skin,

His eyes are conditioned with Heterochromia,

One eye is a dark silver while the other is an electric turquoise.

The other has white fluffy curly hair, his skin is pale but on his cheeks are eight freckles four on each cheek shaped like a diamonds, unlike his twin he has two silver eyes.

His stature is also smaller than his twin.

Both boys have different emotions showing on they're faces,

The heterochromatic child shows hesitated curiosity and fear,

While the other boy puts up indifference hiding his own fear.

They're mother takes one last shaky breath for reassurance before straighten her posture, she turns and instantly that fake control cracks when she discovers both of her youngest children watched the whole ordeal.

"M-Mom?.." the taller one of the twins forces out. His hesitation evident on his naturally pale face.

"Ah.. Shouto, it's alright, mom and dad just had a little disagreement that's all.." her smile is strained as she tries to calm the child as well as herself.

"Yeah, a 'little' disagreement" the smaller twin says with disdain practically dripping from his words as his silver eyes bore into the door of the dojo.

"Izuku! Be more mindful of your tone." His mother chides

The youth hinders his annoyance once more by his indifferent mask.

Rei sighs once more with no less annoyance the child is hiding.

"Your father just wanted to.. talk about when you both will start your training.." she slowly rubs the palm of her hand on Shouto's back as she says this, she knows she doesn't need to explain to Izuku, he's always been a little more perceptive than Shouto.

"Training?.. like Hero training?" Questions the heterochromatic child.

She winced at the words

"Yes, hero training.."

-

The fluorescent lighting of the hospital annoys Izuku without end, the buzzing, the brightness of it as well. The brightness of the light bounces of the pristine white walls causes the brightness tenfold, much to his dismay.

But his annoyance doesn't overshadow the anger he feels having to be in the same room as that man

At least it's bearable with his twin being here, even if the taller one is practicing with showing his indifference to the situation.

It took a lot of work for Izuku to drill that into the taller one of the two.

"That bastard enjoys our fear and anger I'm sure of it, that's why you have to not give any emotion away when you're with him got that? Don't give him the satisfaction" the shortest todoroki seethes out. Shouto with narrowed eyes nods in understanding.

Four chairs uncomfortably close with one another, from the one closes to the door is enji todoroki, the burley man barley fits on said chair but if he's uncomfortable he doesn't show it in his permanent scowl.

Next to him is one of the smaller of the twins, showing no fear nor concern with sitting uncomfortably close with the portable space heater of a father.

Next to Izuku is Shouto, his indifference unlike his twin clearly has cracks in the show of the sweat on his brow and the slight twitching of his hand on his lap

Last but certainly not least is Rei Todoroki, her mask of calm and indifference challenges even her own son's.

One side of the room is unbearably hot while the other side is almost cold enough to see your own breath.

The whole reason of this unnatural ordeal is because both parents begrudgingly agreed that the twins should be brought to a quirk counseling.

The door finally opens, walking in is a woman with magenta hair and violet eyes, her tall stature fits well with her lithe frame.

Her eyes flicker through all of the Todoroki's faces before looking back at her clipboard.

Before she can say a word, Enji interrupts "So, have you figured out what will be my children's quirks will be?"

Her violet eyes flicker between annoyance and hesitation

"Well, as I said before, we can't figure out a child's quirk is until they've shown signs of usage. But we can formulate an idea of what it will be through tests."

The Enji scowls but says nothing in return.

"Please Doctor, if you would.." the calm voice of Rei interrupts the heated glare between her husband and the quirk counselor.

The woman clears her throat

"Ah, yes of course. Well the test usually includes taking some blood samples, mainly to check for the quirk factor, specifically where it resides in the dna. We won't be able to know what it would be and what category it will be but we will be able to determine if it's an mental, physical, or optical quirk."

Both parents subtly nod at the counselor to continue

Both boys absorb the information like a sponge.

Izuku with all his annoyance and anger in the situation he can't help but feel giddy of what his quirk will be.

Shouto is also in the same boat but his giddiness is mixed with fear of having his quirk anything to do with his father.

The woman pulls out two small syringes from a plastic bag "Don't worry it will just feel like a little pinch" she tries to reassure the two boys, does little when they've handled worse.

"Alright that's it, we'll run tests on these and we'll get back to you about the children's quirks" with that the counselor leaves the room.

The steady air instantly gets tense with different emotions, giddiness, anticipation, anxiety, and dread.

Each second waiting the tension gets thicker. Anxiety rises until finally the door breaks the unbearable atmosphere.

But it instantly becomes worse when the counselor comes in with an intense uncertainty on her face.

She takes a seat on the squeaky stool and turns to meet the many eyes of the Todoroki's.

"W-well the results came back!.. Er mister Todoroki this wouldn't be a quirk marriage correct?.."

Enji's eyes darken and his scowl becomes something fierce.

"I would appreciate if you wouldn't comment on my marriage."

The counselor clears her throat once more in anxiety "uh of course my apologies, well the tests has come back and we at least found out that Izuku's quirk factor seems to be centered around his hands and arms but still has a great amount of his quirk factor around his body as well. We've also noticed he has an extremely prominent heat resistance, it could be that his quirk is fire based on that but we won't know for sure"

Izuku looks down at his hands, "so, a fire quirk? It makes the most logical sense since I have heat resistance.. damnit"

she continues onward but she starts to have a sweat drop at the information.

"Shouto's quirk factor seems to cater around his limbs extensively, while that's all well and good his cellular makeup is.. odd to say the least. He has two different resistances on either side of his body split down in the middle, the left side is a high resistance to heat while his right has a high resistance to freezing. So we can't determine if he will have a fire quirk or a ice quirk.."

Izuku looks up from his hands toward Shouto who in turn has a small grimace "it's obvious what's happening, I hope that it isn't the case, but It isn't unheard of both parents quirks combining into one. But if that's the case.."

Dread fills Rei as she looks upon Shouto, she looks up toward her husband and she cringed at the demented smile the man has hearing this information.

It's what he wanted, the perfect combination..

\~/

Izuku sits alone in his room contemplating the events that happened a few hours ago.

Both him and Shouto got separated right when they got home, his father demanded that the twins separate themselves from one another since 'Shouto is his perfect creation'

His hands clench in irritation, his emotions betray his indifferent facade.

Face cold with calm unrelenting rage, piercing silver eyes staring ahead.

His hands clenching and unclenching

fucking bastard..

A loud crash snaps Izuku out of his trance. Worry builds as he leaves his room and starts running towards the noises, each crash getting louder the closer he gets to the dojo.

He pushes the door to the dojo aside, without warning a torrent of flame comes straight at him. His eyes widen and time seems to slow as the fire creeps closer to his face.

Cracking of crystals can be heard when a thick sheet of ice blocks the fire, both canceling out.

Izuku breathes out the air he was holding and looks toward his mother with her palm outstretched toward him in a protective manner.

Izuku looks back toward the dojo, there on the ground is Shouto, a bruise is already forming on his cheek from the impact of their father back handing him.

"Damnit Shouto use your quirk! And don't give me the bullshit of not wanting to use it! This. Is. Training.." The seething man trails off as he sees his fourth son at the entrance of the dojo.

"Ah Izuku, what did I say about interrupt training. Get. Back. To your room. I don't need a failure near Shouto." His father growls out

Izuku stands there in a trance looking at his twin on the floor writhing from an unknown wound, it's clear the bruising on his cheek isn't the cause of it.

His hands claw inwards as his breathing becomes erratic and glares at his father with a piercing gaze.

"BASTARD!"

Now Izuku hasn't used his quirk, so for all he knew he was about to send a torrent of fire at his father in anger, it's the most logical response since he has a natural fire resistance must mean he has a fire quirk. Well that's what the counselor concluded.

Instead of a torrent a heat and fire, his hands shoot out Cold Unforgiving Frost.

The room originally hot as a sauna drops in temperature as cold as the blizzard winds of outside.

Enji's eyes widen and in response he shoots out his own torrent of flame,

Izuku's blast of frost starts crawling up his arms as he continues the stream. Up his shoulders across his chest and finally up to his throat. The pain is excruciating, it feels like his skin and flesh is burning and separating from his own quirk, but the adrenaline and anger he feels towards that man overcomes the physical pain he feels.

Both fire and ice clashing causes a thermal explosion from both extreme temperatures.

Izuku opens his eyes in a daze, his vision is unfocused and his ears are filled with a loud ringing. But all of that pales in comparison to the pain he feels in his arms and neck for using his quirk for the first time, especially that large of a burst from using it.

His eyes focus at his arms and they widen at the angry red frost burns, it's almost as if the skin is lifted off his flesh, as he moves his hands around he realizes the skin of his arms isn't even connected to his hands any more.

And all he can do is scream.

2,295 Words. Hi! Uh this is my first time writing, so any feedback would be appreciated. I've always loved reading so many novels and fanfics of different genres and shows, so I thought 'hey why not' ya know? Uhm this is strictly a side project not gonna have a schedule or anything. Hell I don't even know if this will get off the ground or not I'm just doing this for self indulgence.

So in this story I'm obviously making Izuku a Todoroki! Yea I know there's a lot of those and what not but.. nothing tickles my fancy, every time I read one it's always either izuku gets half hot half cold variant or izuku has a fire quirk but for some reason it's trash? Than other times he literally gets OFA out of no where and defeats the purpose. Oh and god forbid he doesn't get a quirk at all in this what if. So that's why I'm making one of my own!

So in this fic Izuku gets an ice quirk, dear god don't remind me of the little amount of ice quirk fanfics out there is fucking criminal. Anyways back to his quirk, if some of you are wondering then yes he doesn't have a resistance to his own quirk! I thought it would be cool to have izuku have the same problem as dabi, or touya either way to explain further unlike dabi that has the body of a ice quirk user. Izuku's body is that of a fire quirk user.
