THE PILOT SAID THE PLANE…anything but a plane

Zeus frowned this time.

"That bad?" he asked Percy who shrugged.

"Well then, me, you, Thalia, Jason, Nico and Hazel and whoever else wants to join are going skydiving again but this time, its going to be different than last time as well. I can give you the guarantee that you're not going to be scared of planes again." Zeus declared. Percy and Nico looked mildly surprised but that was not the case with Poseidon and Hades who looked as if they'd jumped in a pool called 'surprise'.

"Done." Percy and Nico grinned and Hazel smiled.

He should've been…two families.

"Well, that's some good motivation." Clarisse said with a small smile.

"What better motivation?" Percy shrugged.

Juno had stolen his…he got her reasoning

"See! Even he gets it!" Hera said, throwing her hands up in the air.

"I also said that I still wanted to punch you in your godly face." Percy said mildly, making Triton muffle a snort.

"Your reasoning wasn't the problem. The position that you put Percy in was especially since there were two demigods that you chose and one of them got every possible thing that he could in order to reach camp while the other one didn't get sleep or food or shelter or clothing and was chased my monsters till he reached camp and of course, not to mention that he had to carry you while he was running from monsters." Amphitrite told her, counting on her fingertips. Poseidon smiled at Amphitrite as he gazed at her in wonder. Hera swallowed.

"That's how he would be accepted at Camp Jupiter." She defended.

"By being sleep deprived?"Annabeth asked "Even if your presence was needed when Percy reached, the rest of the factors that Amphitrite mentioned really weren't." she shrugged.

"Well, to be fair, he was sent to Lupa." Zeus intervened. Hera looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"Yeah, that's true but the fact that after that he didn't receive even the smallest of comforts, all of which Jason received is what makes it a problem. I'm not saying that Jason should have been tossed out like Percy was. No, that would be horrible. But I'm saying that Percy should have at least got basic necessities and not be plagued by the two Gorgons of all monsters on the way to camp without any help or sleep for that matter." Poseidon told his younger brother.

"Brother, you make a fair point but there is nothing that we can do right now. We cannot change it and we cannot keep arguing about it as we all have our opinions and sides on this. Hera may not understand your point and you may not understand hers but there is no point in debating this while we all make the same points. If one understands then we shall know but let us not keep extending the issue because it will, at one point, resolve itself." Hestia told Poseidon in a warm and calm voice with a smile that could make all anger wash away. Poseidon nodded and just kept his hand on Percy's shoulder.

If the two camps could…he'd never imagined before.

"It was amazing while it lasted but now, hopefully, another chapter of life is coming our way." Percy smiled at Annabeth who blushed but nodded in agreement.

"Any chapter of my life with you is acceptable to me, Seaweed Brain." She said. Percy grinned at her and gave her a kiss on her hand.

Silena and Aphrodite squealed and 'aww'ed'.

"Now now, loverboy. Lets focus." Thalia smirked at Percy who winked at her.

"Honestly, this is the most random question but how did you manage to decorate your dorm room? I failed amazingly at it." Connor shook his head "I mean, I just had my books and of course, my prank material and like 2 posters." He looked at Travis and Percy and Annabeth.

"Well, I had course books and fictional books as well as a few extra design books seeing as I was still designing cabins and Olympus as well. Had a few posters related to a couple of books and pictures of me and Percy and of me and me and my dad in San Francisco." Annabeth told Connor.

"Hmmm. I got the idea of city pictures from yours. What about you guys?" Connor said and then looked at Percy and Travis.

"A couple of books for the course. A few posters with aesthetic sea pics and quotes." Percy said with a sheepish grin at the end as he looked around and the sea gang chuckled. "And yeah, photos of me and Annabeth, me and mom, me and Tyson and me and a couple of you guys and I bought like a huge map of Ketterdam." Percy said and grinned.

"Ahh, Ketterdam. The best fictional place for me. The gambling and thievery and practical jokes." Travis grinned "Love it." He said.

"And murder." Katie raised an eyebrow at him and he chuckled. "Hey, if you ever figure out a way to somehow reach Ketterdam or something, I ain't following." She informed him.

"Pity." Travis sighed "I love Ketterdam but not nearly as much as I love you." He told her and Katie blushed but grinned at him. Travis looked at her earnestly and said "Nothing will ever be good enough to make me leave you." He told her and gave her a kiss. Demeter raised an eyebrow at Travis who shrugged. "It's the truth. This isn't something that I'd lie about." He said. Hermes grinned at Travis and gave him a wink.

"Oh and by the way, I didn't decorate my dorm either. The only things that I had were a few books that I got for my course, pictures of me and Katie and me and you and a couple of prank materials." Travis told Connor and the two high fived.

"Great minds think alike." Connor snickered.

"What course did you take?" Hermes asked Travis, Connor, Chris and Katie curiously. Poseidon and Athena didn't have to ask their children as they'd already known what their kids had taken. Percy was somebody that Poseidon kept tabs on for anything important in his life while Athena already knew that Annabeth would be taking Architecture.

"Law." Katie said.

"Foreign trade." Chris said.

"Business." Hermes grinned at Travis and Connor, Chris and smiled at Katie as well.

"I like the law." He said. Artemis snorted.

"You like breaking the law."

"That's why I like it." Hermes grinned. Everybody laughed as Artemis playfully rolled her eyes.

"We actually contemplated law but there were too many limitations when we went into the field and honestly, business sounded more appealing to us." Connor said. Hermes nodded.

"If you're still interested then I could give you guys quite a few affairs dealing with those fields seeing as they do come under my domain and to an extent under yours as well." Hermes told them.

"Awesome!" The three of them grinned.

"I'll help out if you want to something related to law." Apollo offered to Katie who grinned at him.

"Thanks, man." She said.

"Anytime." Apollo smiled. Katie then continued reading.

As they took a taxi…"Enough."

Everybody laughed or chuckled at Frank's misery as he tried to understand Greco-Roman relationships.

"Those are never easy to understand. The best advice to live through it is that never try to make much sense out of it." Thalia snorted "And that the gods didn't really marry their own sisters or brothers…well….except…these two." She said, gesturing to Zeus and Hera.

"Well, like, you're related but it doesn't really count for most relations. Some of them do. Some don't." Nico told Frank.

"But if gods don't have DNA, then this-" Percy gesturing to himself and Poseidon "is trippy." He said.

"Ah, see there's the interesting part. Gods don't have DNA but when they…." Will cleared his throat "When they sleep with your mortal parent, they transfer certain characteristics and features over to you…not in the regular way-" Will cleared his throat again as he tried to not make it awkward as everybody was listening. "but they do transfer certain features. They can choose how much they want to seeing as it's the work of the mind and not actually the sexual hormones but most of them times it happens subconsciously as choosing how much characteristics is genuinely just time consuming and there isn't really much of a need for it when it happens anyway. But its not related to your DNA seeing as its something that their mind carries out. It also partially depends on how the…relation between the two parents is." Will explained, pausing at the end, nervous about how Amphitrite, Persephone and Hera would respond because their husbands' kids looked exactly like them, meaning it was a good relation. When he was confident that they wouldn't get angry about it, he continued.

"And it also has to do with if you somehow renounce your connection to your mortal parent in front of somebody not just in your mind. This mostly happens if your mortal parent…has well…passed away but of course, you could renounce even if they are alive but you need witnesses for the procedure as we know. But the point is that once you do renounce that connection, the characteristics that you have received get deeper." Will explained "Well, this is definitely not the reason for your similarity." He said, gesturing to Percy and Poseidon. Nico remained quiet when Will did not gesture to him and looked at him because he understood what Will was trying to convey to him. Apollo looked proudly at Will and gave him a high five.

"Well, that's insane then." Percy said as he tilted his head. "Dam, dad. That's a lot of features you gave me then." He said to Poseidon, his eyes twinkling. Poseidon chuckled and Percy joined in but the both of them stopped and turned to look at Amphitrite, remembering what Will had said about the good relations but Amphitrite just raised her eyebrows at them and they gave her identical sheepish grins.

"As long as he can…seventy years," Hazel said.

Hazel snorted in amusement at her own words.

"Well, that wasn't random." Thalia chuckled.

"What better way to say it?" Hazel grinned.

"Yeah, I visited before you were born." Piper supplied.

"That would be fun." Hazel snickered. Travis and Connor grinned at each other.

"I'm so glad she's one of us now." Connor said. Hazel gave them a mischievous smile with a wink and the two brothers high fived.

The driver slid the…of turquoise and gold.

"Sounds amazing." Jason said with wonder.

"Air that is free of pollution. Haven't smelled that since ages." Artemis sighed.

Then there were the giants…"When who did what?"

Everybody snickered or burst out laughing at that.

"This is even better." Clarisse wheezed and winked at her brother who blushed.

"He is soo confused that its precious." Pollux chuckled amusedly.

"No but like Percy is just casually saying that he fought Kronos when he invaded Manhattan without batting an eye." Katie laughed.

"Hey, regular life." Percy shrugged but with a grin.

"Long story…fairly bothersome to Percy

Everybody burst out laughing at that as well.

"Agreed. It sounds more than bothering." Persephone told Hazel with an amused raised eyebrow.

"It was an accident." Hazel snickered.

"Yeah, so um, funny story, I almost got stepped on by a blue giant. Sounds like a good story." Connor laughed.

"Its interesting. I'd listen to it." Hermes shrugged and smiled.

But the taxi kept driving…breakfast if I could.

Thalia and Percy cheered.

"We have another one!" Thalia grinned and Frank grinned back.

"You have another one." Nico said, faking his misery.

Though, um, I'm sure…enough to see her again.

"Of course you would. You're not getting away from me that easily." Annabeth told Percy as she nudged him lightly and he grinned at her and nudged her back.

"I could say the same." He said

"Go ahead." Annabeth told him playfully.

"I'll show you." Percy told her with his troublemaker grin as he kissed Annabeth. Thalia and Nico looked at each other in fake misery while most of the people hooted and wolf whistled and Aphrodite squealed and squirmed in her seat. Poseidon looked proud and Amphitrite looked at Poseidon.

"Was that enough?" Percy asked a red Annabeth who grinned.

"Would you like to know?" she asked playfully again.

"Ahhhh. My ears can't take more of this." Nico screamed

"They have taken more than this." Percy told him amusedly and Nico glared at him.

Think positive…I'm hungry."

Everybody gasped dramatically.

"Hey! At least I didn't say Rudolph." Percy defended.

"And you better not." Leo threatened.

"Never." Percy shook his head.

The food was excellent…did not stand a chance.

Everybody chuckled and Frank grinned sheepishly.

Between bites of blueberry…"And we're the eye."

They all sniggered.

"Man, I forgot how much I loved Percy's POV." Hermes laughed and winked at Percy who returned it.

Hazel glared at him…seagull's head," Percy noted.

"What an observation." Nico commented.

"I know right!" Percy agreed and Nico face palmed and sighed.

"How do you deal with this?" Nico groaned dramatically towards Hades.

"I don't." Hades smirked and shrugged. Poseidon frowned slightly at that but didn't say anything.

Hazel sighed…Sally Jackson, he thought

A few of the people smiled at Percy at the thought that he'd thought of Sally when he'd had the chance to.

That was his mom's…but still…not cool.

"We told her that you were missing but alive. Grover had the empathy link and Tyson said that he would know." Chiron told Percy with a small smile.

"And not to mention that I would have figured out a way to kill a particular goddess had something serious happened to you." Poseidon told Percy who gave him a smile.

He picked up the receiver…barely speak at the tone.

"It does hit hard…at least I guess so." Jason told Percy, knowing that it would be hard for his cousin to not react when he hears the voice of somebody from his family who he hasn't heard for a few months. It would be similar to how he would have reacted had he had anybody to call. Zeus grimaced at the same thought that Jason had had nobody to call during his time even if it would have hurt, it would have been nice for Jason to have somebody to tell that he was all right.

"Mom," he said…They didn't ask for details.

Poseidon sighed as he felt Percy's emotion turmoil and squeezed Percy's shoulder reassuringly. Though he wasn't going through that now, he still felt the need to somehow let Percy know they he was there and that he understood just as Percy had done for him.

Soon they were heading…but he let it go.

"It's a thing that the children of Ares do. They tend to think of all possibilities that could happen after or during a fight and draw out a battle plan." Clarisse explained. Ares nodded. This was something he did and a characteristic that all of his kids had as well.

"Children of Athena do that as well. The possibilities part depends on person to person but the battle planning instincts is something that we all possess." Annabeth nodded in understanding.

After about an hour…thought about taking a nap.

"Well, if you're too comfortable, that means trouble is coming." Grover sighed.

"It always like that for all of us. We start to relax too much and boom! The monsters decide that we relaxed for a few too many seconds. Kind of like a jinx." Chris said

"Its typical." Percy said with a casual shrug.

Then a shadow passed…train toppled off the rails.

"Shit." Apollo said.

"Indeed." Artemis agreed.

"Chapter's over." Katie said in relief.

"I'll read next." Demeter said as she took the book from her daughter.
