Chapter 4
If you were to ask Izuku what he hates the most in this world, he'd either ignore you for the sake of his broken social life.
But if he had to respond it would be in this simple order.
His father
His quirk
And now this tie.
It's been five minutes trying (and failing) to get the U.A. uniform's tie correctly or at least an attempt to make it presentable.
Luckily he was near the front door and Fuyumi helped with his plight (bless her).
Walking along the trails from his home 'prison'
And entering the stuffy limousine, he's greeted by the sight of his twin sitting in the opposite end.
With a small grunt of exertion on getting in, he plops down on a cold leather seat.
For the first time in 10 years they make eye contact, and they both see the difference from then to now.
Shouto's piercing heterochromatic eyes widen a minuscule amount at the dull almost lifeless silver eyes of his brother.
Izuku's own reaction isn't too different as he takes in his brother's form.
Both pairs of eyes look away from the other, finding the people outside far more interesting than they should be.
Izuku knows this is going to be a long and tiring day.
\~.~/
Walking down the hallway of this 'prestigious' school is a little jarring for Izuku since it's so early, no living soul or sound other than the pair of shoes on each boy's feet clacking on the polished floor.
They finally find the door to their class.
Large bold letters read out above a tall and large door, '1A' it's strange seeing a door this large but what does he know, could be some mutation quirk in his class that needs large doors like this.
But before Izuku could open the door Shouto finally speaks up for the first time since that declaration towards him all those years ago.
"I want to make it clear, I don't want to be interacting with each other in class. I'm not looking for friends either, strictly to get stronger, and not deal with the others.
Don't act like you know me either, as far as I am concerned we're strangers."
And once again Izuku can't respond properly since the other is already walking in to the mostly empty classroom.
"Asshole"
As he sits down at the top left row of the seats in the room closes to the windows he takes in the surroundings of his home room class, the walls and floor are polished to perfection and the large black board with a pristine pedestal sits prominently in the middle at the front of the room.
Izuku supposes since he's clearly way to early to be here he may as well get some rest.
'I AM HERE! AS A PROJECTION! Young Todoroki, your written portion of the exam is quite stupendous! Getting a even 98% that easily places you in the top five in the written portion of the exam!
And for the practical I must applaud your determination and sharpened skill set within the exam! A great score of 42 villain points!
That easily puts you in the top 10! But what hero school is we don't count heroics! Yes there was a hidden point section, hero points!
Saving young Hitoshi from the zero pointer gave you the maximum of 60 hero points!
Adding all of to a whopping 102 points! Welcome Izuku Todoroki to your Hero academia.'
All Izuku can do stand there, his dull eyes gaining a light shimmer of awe looking at the scoreboard.
"I got in.. I did it.."
He even got first place in the rankings, he feels the edges of his lips twitch with the want of a smile.
The door slamming open jerks Izuku awake.
"Great the blond prick is in my class.."
With his piercing vermillion red eyes roam over his competition/extras, he stalks towards a desk and plops both his feet up on the one in front of his own.
The arrogance in his action baffle Izuku as his silver eyes stare at the spikey haired douche.
Slowly more and more of his new classmates filter in and taking there own seats, already forming groups to talk to one another.
More than once he could tell he's gotten someone's eyes flick towards his form and linger for a second or two before they look towards what they were looking at before.
The ones Izuku did caught staring was the one lanky purple haired boy that looks like he'll pass out either from exhaustion or boredom.
The other was a pink skinned girl with fluffy pink hair and horns on top, staring intently at his own fluffy white hair. Can't tell if she cares he knows that she obviously is staring or she genuinely thinks he doesn't know.
The finale one is the annoying blond himself, not so much as staring but more like glaring.
Izuku can't tell if he somehow angered the Pomeranian or he perpetually has a scowl on his face. But either or his glaring gets interrupted by that one blue haired teen from his own exam site. Quite the site as he reprimands the ash blond for his actions of having his shoes on a desk.
His amusement gets interrupted by a large yellow caterpillar.. thing that rolls around the ground at the entrance of the classroom.
The thing gets up and unzips the front of it revealing a scraggly tired man, stubble on his jaw and eye bag's prominent on his sickly pale skin.
To Izuku's surprise the man stare straight at him before flicking his gaze at the still chatting class before he announces his presence.
"If you're here to socialize and make friends then get out.. it took you an disappointing 12 seconds to finally quiet down, it's obvious we're gonna need to train on your observation skills later on this year." The hobo looking man drawls out with a monotone borderline annoyed tone.
"My name is Shota Aizawa, and I'm your home room teacher. Now, put these on and meet me on the field." He pulls out multiple blue tracksuits from his (sleeping bag?) and practically throws it towards the students.

Izuku follows the other teenagers toward the men's locker rooms.
Each boy he notes his noticeably ripped or toned in a way that fits with their quirks, as he goes to change into the track suit he's bombarded by multiple gasps and the squeaks of shoes on polished marbled flooring.
"Jeez man, the hell happened to you?" One chipper male says, Izuku's head slides toward the direction of the now known red head classmate's voice.
"It's just from my quirk." Is his curt response
Most of the others either understood that's all they'll get while others either stare intently at his scarred arms or just look like they want to ask questions.
\~/
"Finally you're all here. Now, we're doing a quirk apprehension test.
Other schools press you children on not using your quirks during normal apprehension tests, that is illogical. Quirks are more apart of you than what many think, it's not just a tool nor is it as simple as a muscle, each and every quirk is unique to its user."
The tired man looks directly at Izuku for a moment before calling him out
"Izuku Todoroki, you placed first on the practical, what was your ball throw in middle school"
Izuku stares for a moment before replying
"I've been mainly in online schooling so I haven't had a proper apprehension test."
The man just nods curtly before tossing him the ball, "go the the circle and throw it with your quirk, anything is permitted the only restriction is the circle"
Izuku stares at the ball in his hand before turning on the heels of his shoes toward the circle.
"Since the circle is unforgivingly small I can't just generate a intricate slope to shoot out the ball at high speeds, only logical way is to just throw the ball with a burst of frost in the palm of my hand."
With a nod at his plan he grips the ball in his palm before cocking his arm back while keeping the ball close to his cheek.
Instantly Shota recognizes the stance the teen is performing, simple but the effective 'shot put' position.
Izuku then throws as quickly as his quirk activates to give the ball an edge in propulsion.
The balls flies with a torrent of frost aiding in the pressure of his throw as it rockets off in the distance.
Aizawa's device beeps for a moment before he turns the device show casing the display towards the class. '240.2' meters is displayed on the small led screen. "This year we will be testing your limits and working on them to better yourselves as heroes."
A chorus of awes and chatter erupts from the class
"We can use quirks? Alright!"
"This is gonna be so fun!"
Without warning Aizawa's hair stands up and his eyes go red with the effect of his quirk, stopping all chatter and cheers.
"This is fun you say? How about this for fun, who ever comes last in this test gets instantly expelled."
With a wave of displeasure cries and shouting of unfairness, Izuku blinks in contemplation, "is this what they call a logical ruse? But why? Is it to make us fail? Or it it to push us to the limits.
But so far it might be real since Sensei doesn't seem to be the type to just lie for no reason, since he obviously has a realist view of the world."
Izuku quickly noticed his quirk doesn't have a lot of applications in a few tests,
The first test was a strength gauge.
His was 42kg while another boy that has some form of arm mutation quirk was able to get a crazy 500kg.
The next test was a speed dash test, the most prominent people that excelled in this was a girl that has dark green hair with almost blank looking eyes and large hands with some form of a frog quirk.
And that tall blue haired boy with glasses that has a engine like quirk in the calf's of his legs.
Both gaining a great score of 3.04 and 2.90
respectively
Izuku was partnered with the ash blond boy for the test.
The Pomeranian slightly bends forward with the palm of his hands splayed out behind him with a determined but manic grin on his face.
While Izuku slightly gets into a skate pose with the palm of his right hand in front of him.
Both boys instantly speed off when the robot initiates the test.
Large explosions flare off the manic blond's palms.
While Izuku's shoots gusts of ice in front of him and starts skating towards the finish.
A 4.09 for the arrogant teen and a 4.50 for Izuku.
The other only notable tests for Izuku was the long jump and for that one he takes a page from his twin's book and just makes stairs over the sand pit.
With the test concluded from the last ball throw from a brunette girl that has a gravity quirk caused the ball to fly off into the stratosphere and assumingely into space.
"Now I'm not going to list off your names and what place they would be, because that will be a waste of time and I'm already tired of just thinking of that prospect. So here's the results"
Aizawa sensei drawls and tosses a puck like disk down on the ground, before a hologram appears above it listed with the ranking of the class.
Now If you were to ask Izuku what he hates the most in this world, he'd either ignore you again for the sake out of annoyance this time.
But if he had to respond it would be in this simple order.
His father
His quirk
His school uniform tie
And now his place.
1. Momo Yaoyorozu
2. Shouto Todoroki
3. Izuku Todoroki
4. Katsuki Bakugou
...
His eye twitches with annoyance as he stares at his name below his twin, he doesn't understand why but seeing him already loosing to him is quite.. displeasing.
Izuku wasn't the only want annoyed of his placement since the scowling ash blond is glaring daggers at the back of Izuku's fuffy white head.
The tall purple haired boy looks a mixture of acceptance and disappointment
"It was all a logical ruse to push all of you to your limits so I can have a clear and decisive look at what you excel and lack at. Class is dismissed, your syllabus will be on all of your desks."
As Izuku looks at his syllabus and heads to his next class the only thought in his already exhausted brain is:
This is has already been a tiring day..
