Clouds were gathering in the sky. The sun was gradually disappearing behind them. It's about to rain...
William spent almost half of the day in the basement correcting previously made mistakes. Finally, it's time for another test. Picking up the control panel, William typed in the necessary combination on it. Now it was only necessary to wait and... Suddenly, the mask moved. Several of its details changed their location and the illusion was created, as if her eyebrows had risen. It turned slightly to the right and bent down. The mask seemed to be alive. Its smooth movements were strikingly precise and for a moment, William completely forgot that in front of him was an ordinary model of an animatronic head, because this is exactly what he was trying to achieve.
- It worked! - the man almost shouted and jumped on the spot several times.
When William saw Elizabeth, Chris and Naomi in the doorway, surprised, he smiled wider.
- Children, this is the beginning of a new era! - he moved away from the working mechanism so that the kids could see him.
- Hurrah! You managed to finish it! - Naomi was delighted, followed by Elizabeth and Chris.
William breathed a sigh of relief. However, he knew that this was just the beginning. Besides, what would Henry have to say about that? His reception will take place in a week. He needs to prepare.

11 hours 46 minutes
The Lord created the earth...
He created the water...
And then...
He created pizza!
There was no limit to Henry's disappointment. He rubbed the bridge of his nose irritably. How did he get tired of these stupid...
- Well, how about you? - two young guys looked at him with eyes full of hope.
- Get out of my restaurant... - Henry didn't even look up.
- But, Mr. Emily... - one of the guys dared to speak.
- Do you even understand how believers will react to this?! - Henry flew into a rage, slapping the table lightly. - For such an idiotic announcement, my establishment will be closed! How could you possibly think of such a thing? Get out of here! And don't come back again!
Both of them, clearly upset, they went to the exit. Henry didn't give a damn. He only made the twenty-third note in his notebook. Twenty-three useless applications to his office. Is it possible that no one sensible will come to him today?
11 hours 48 minutes
William straightened his purple shirt, and then began to put on a dark tie. William loved purple. In any case, it was impossible to be distracted. He had everything he needed in his bag. His invention also lay there. He had to take a bigger bag, because the layout simply did not fit into the others.
William never managed to tie his ties neatly, no matter how hard he tried. Therefore, Clara, passing by the bathroom, looked through the open door and grinned.
- Do you need any help? - she came up to him.
William sighed and then smiled at his wife as he gave up.
- I really need it. - he answered, and Clara tied her husband's tie with a few deft movements, and then kissed him on the cheek.
- Good luck... - she whispered softly.
Finally, the hour has come. William was completely ready.
The man nodded and moved to the front door, leaving the bathroom. Clara followed him. Looking to his left, he saw a large sofa. A plasma TV was attached to the wall, on which cartoons were being shown. Michael was sitting on the couch. The guy was reading something. Between the sofa and the TV was a rug on which Elizabeth, Naomi and Chris were playing. As always, toys were scattered everywhere, but fortunately the children always cleaned up after themselves. This situation calmed the man. William likes their life...
The father came to the exit. He glanced to his left again and was surprised. While Chris was trying to attract the attention of the redhead, Elizabeth was looking at William a little stupidly. When he looked at her, she smiled. That smile warmed William's heart.
11 hours 55 minutes
The thirtieth note. A round number. What a charm!
Henry was angry and upset. Idiotic costumes were brought to him, meaningless slogans were offered, stupid performances were staged... Someone even managed to bring some kind of mechanism! And before Emily could be happy, the chip on the mechanism burned out. In any case, he had already heard footsteps in the hallway. So, the thirty-first is coming to him...
12 o'clock
Only now did William fully realize that he was late. The reception started at exactly 11 o'clock. And Henry accepted only the first forty people. Now the clock showed exactly 12 o'clock. And why couldn't he have come earlier? The man was driving in a car past small shops, cafes and restaurants. His goal was not here, but suddenly William noticed a small toy store to his left. He saw animal toys in the window. Most of the toys were teddy bears. This was not surprising. Since the opening of Henry's restaurant "Fredbear's Family Diner", such toys have become very popular. Chris has a whole collection of plush animatronics. For some reason, William liked this shop, and he went in. Knowing that he had to hurry, William tried to look for a beautiful plush toy that was suitable for the price. There was one. On one of the shelves, Spring Bonnie's plush toy stood out among the others. It stood out with its color. While the other hares had purple and blue coloring and a red bow, the toy that William liked had a yellow color and a purple bow. This Spring Bonnie seemed to the man the most unusual, and besides it cost only 4 dollars. Without thinking twice, he grabbed a stuffed rabbit and walked towards the cash register.
12 hours 14 minutes
The thirty-fourth turned out to be an unusually cheeky type. He was a big man with red hair cut into a square, green eyes and a dark red mustache. He was wearing a business suit and his hair was tied in a ponytail. When he came to the restaurant, he began to offer Henry to sell him the place, along with Fredbear... No, don't offer. Demand!
- Do you even understand what kind of money I'm offering you!? - the impudent continued his senseless arguments. - You only need to sign a few papers!
The thirty-third, and he was a young blond with bangs, covering one eye, was in no hurry to leave the office and watched the impudent man with surprise. He himself was afraid to breathe the wrong way in this office, and this man was doing this... He clearly made an impression on the guy.
- I accept talented people who can surprise me. And not rich people who know how to bargain. - Henry stood his ground.
The answer clearly did not please the man. The blond man swallowed.
- Do you want a scandal to start here?! Will you exchange a rich life for this small, insignificant restaurant?! - the impudent man was furious.
Henry smiled.
- Then why do you need this "small" and "insignificant" restaurant? - he asked.
- Do you care so much about it? Listen to me carefully. If you don't want to sell me this place, I will be forced to...
- And now listen to me, you impudent bastard! - Henry's patience finally ran out. - If you come to my place to my office again, I will call a security guard who will beat you on the head with a baton! Now hide your dirty money and get out of here, now!
The cheeky man's face contorted.
- You'll regret it! Soon you will become bankrupt!
With these words, he left the office, simultaneously showering Henry with abuse.
- Uh, goodbye. - the blond man said, simultaneously leaving the office behind the impudent, still shocked by the scene.
The man just took a deep breath.
12 hours 15 minutes
William had already paid and drove towards the restaurant. He wouldn't want to be even more late. William walked briskly into the room. No sooner had he closed the door behind him than some nasty guy pushed him off the road. A man with red hair, a mustache and green eyes. It was obvious that he was unhappy.
- Be careful, man! - William almost fell, and it irritated him.
The guy walked past without saying anything and only glared at Afton. However, it doesn't matter now. William went to the office, still hoping to make the appointment...
12 hours 20 minutes
Henry had written down the number thirty-five in advance, waiting for the next person with some kind of leaky bear costume. Someone knocked on the door.
- Come in... - the man said wearily.
The door opened and a painfully familiar figure appeared in the doorway.
- Hey, Henry, I'm on a break. - it was Scott, as always cheerful, with a bag of food in his hands. He pulled out some snacks and put them on the table. - I came to look in on you. How are things going?
- It's been worse. - Henry replied, taking one of the snacks. - Damn, thank you for coming in, otherwise I would have gone crazy.
- Is it that bad? - Scott was surprised.
- It's worse than bad.
Then there was another knock on the door.
- Come in. - the man said, frowning, realizing that he would have to listen to some fool again.
The door opened and William appeared in the doorway.
- Hello.
- William! - Scott was delighted.
Henry came up to him and gave him a friendly hug.
- Damn it, you are unrealistically on time! You have no idea how long I've put up with all these idiots! - Henry released William.
- Is the burly one of them?
- This impudent man? Oh yeah. For a long time I listened to his stories about wealth... Have a seat!
Henry sat down at his chair. Following him, on the other side, William sat down next to Scott on the sofa.
- How much did he offer you? - William asked.
- A million dollars. With Fredbear about one and a half.
- This idiot estimates a priceless invention at half a million! - Scott said through a mouthful of food.
- Yeah... And what am I in your account?
- The thirty-fifth... Are you afraid you're late? Don't worry, I'd let you in even in that case. So, what did you want to show me?
- I think the phrase "I just came to talk to friends" would make you very sad - William grinned. - But don't worry. I managed to do something fantastic! And so, look...
William took his mock-up and remote control out of his bag. Henry immediately realized that this was what William had been so eager to talk about a week ago. And this was the very idea to which William was pushed by Elizabeth's phrase. William entered some combination, and the mask moved. The parts of the mask moved symmetrically, complementing each other. Their movement created an illusion, as if the mask expresses emotions. Underneath it was a complex system of interconnected metal parts forming a mock-up. It was... Wonderful! The performance was over, and all the parts of the mask folded again, forming a bear's muzzle.
- Well, how do you like it? - William waited impatiently for his friends' response.
- What do you think? It's just perfect! - Henry responded enthusiastically.
- Are you kidding? It's incredible! - Scott added. - Can you show us the blueprints?
- Of course! - said the brunette.
Rummaging a little more in his bag, William found the drawings and shoved them to his friends.
- How much time have you spent on this... - Henry looked confused.
- 6 months and 19 days. - William replied.
- So you've been planning to improve the technology ever since we first invented it? - Scott asked.
- Absolutely right. - William smiled.
Henry had nothing more to say. He just wrote something down in his notebook.
- Come to me tomorrow at twelve o'clock in the morning. I'm going to have an exhibition and I want you to show people your invention. - Emily said.
William was wary.
- But... I can't Henry... I do not know what to tell people about this. You know I'm a bad storyteller.
- Don't worry, we will support you! - Scott clapped his friend on the shoulder.
- Scott's right. If something doesn't work out, I'll help you, William. The main thing is to speak from the heart. In the meantime, leave these diagrams and layout to me. - Henry encouraged.
William nodded and picked up his bag from the floor. He left the building inspired and happy that someone finally learned about the importance of his work. But tomorrow what is going to happen will happen.
