Two friends actually were well-known Cosplayer actors that are hired by many anime companies and public events these two friends were major fans of several shows, and were extremely talented in acting in the way the characters appear on the shows, which made it many people actually think that somehow these characters had managed to get out of the show and were walking around in conventions and fan festivals.
One of the friends was a major fan of Naruto and dressed very much like Naruto to attend the local convention festival, hired by several people that make quite a bit of money but also were planning to release a new Naruto RPG game for several game consoles. The man was known as Hiro, and his friend also was hired but he prefers to dress as characters who are usually not as loved, his chosen character for this festival was Sasuke, he actually went as far as to use contact lenses to give the illusion that his eyes were in fact real.
Upon seeing this his friend followed his example and thus it became a practice by the friends, to actually dress not as people pretending to be them, but make their appearance look as realistic as possible. They often talked to each other as they would talk with each other as these characters. They always were a crowd favorite among the people attending these festivals and they often asked them questions as if they were actually asking the characters questions, and much to their shock they responded as the characters would.
It seems that this particular festival was gathering quite the press since many people actually paid to be able to attend this convention event which apparently a new Naruto MMORPG Game was going to be shown to the people attending as a sort of a test to see how well the game would be perceived by future customers. To Hector, it made perfect sense why they hired so many people to act like the people in the anime that the game is based on.
This however had the negative consequence of two men who apparently thought that most of the people attending the event would be kids and their parents, with little to no security since it was a happy and fun event, so these two men clearly felt that it was the perfect chance for them to take all the money that was being collected from ticket sales for themselves, and these two maniacs came pretending to be people that were hired by the people organizing the event, to make matters worse Hiro noticed that they both sort of look like people who would be in the Root ANBU unit lead by Danzo.
People had no clue what was going on as they thought these two were like Hector and Hiro, or as they went by Naruto and Sasuke, but this was clearly not the case when one of them pulled a short barrel shotgun from his backpack and tossed his friend a small machine gun, which immediately caused the people to start to panic and try to run for their lives.
As these two maniacs went towards the people that held the cash deposit box, the two friends saw as one of them tried to kill off a little girl who was crying near where her mother was working selling tickets and other memorabilia. One of the men tried to shoot her with the shotgun when he suddenly found that somehow had thrown a sharpened version of a prop, a kunai at him, causing the blade to his hand and injuring him enough to cause the person to drop the weapon.
Hector, on the other hand, had grabbed a broom and used it to try and beat the other man unconscious, but it was clear that this would have little to no effect on his enemy since they were wearing much tougher armor than he was, and the fact that he was at least a foot taller than Hector.
The man looked at him and as he did Hector only had one thing to do since he knew after being shot by the man his death was most certainly a foregone conclusion, Hector merely took a hold of the rifle barrel pointing it away from the people but not without telling his enemy to look down, and as he did, he finally noticed that Hector actually managed to pull three pins from a bundle of grenades the maniac had tied on his belt. Hector told the others to run for cover as he held the maniac and as soon as they got far enough to avoid being harmed by the explosion, the grenades went off killing both the maniac and Hector.
As Hiro saw his friend die and he slowly felt his life slowing coming closer to the end, he also grabbed the weapon off his enemy and seeing that he would not survive having been shot at such close proximity, he turned the shotgun and used it to blast as his enemy sending him flying through the convention center till he ended up crashing on a far wall. As Hiro was beginning to lose focus and felt like his life was about to end, he heard the wails and sirens of the police cars and trucks finally reaching the convention center, it seems some of the people they told to escape managed to get somewhere safe and called the police.
The two friends would later be recognized as heroes that saved the lives of many people, and the only surviving criminal could only be heard laughing like a maniac as he shouted that he had at least killed those two annoying fakes.
The two friends would find themselves being reborn as people they knew only too well, but the thing is, thanks to these two spending so much time learning and knowing everything about their characters and everything about them when they were reborn unlike many others they were born with knowledge about their world most would have paid a fortune to obtain. Much to their shock they found themselves being reborn as the characters they were pretending to be right before they died.
Naruto was born to Kushina and Minato, and he was the Fourth Hokage, Sasuke was born into the Uchiha Family, along with his big brother Itachi, his father was the person in charge of law enforcement within Konoha. Thanks to them having all the memories, they knew exactly what the reality of their world was, and could understand it in ways that most people would think that Naruto and Sasuke were insane if they shared it with anyone, so they kept their knowledge of what will happen to themselves, but they did use the knowledge they had to help those that they knew would be willing to listen.
But what they did not know is the secret that Fugaku, Mikoto, Kushina, and Minato have kept from everyone except Hiruzen Sarutobi what was the secret you asked they were Greek Gods that took the forms of demigods who try to repair their marriage.
Sasuke spent a few hours each day trying his best to help his classmates, and Naruto spent a few days trying to get them to leave their comfort zone and think in a way that he called outside the box. Sasuke helped Kiba deal with his feelings and insecurities, so much so that he came to accept his flaws and became that much stronger because of it.
Choji was often ridiculed for being called obese by others to the point that the word Fat became a taboo word for him, however, Sasuke took him aside and told him to follow him, as they sneaked outside the village and walked over to other towns and settlements, Choji saw how blessed he was when he saw children younger than he was digging through garbage to the point of fighting off rats and eating their freshly killed corpses. Sasuke told him that not everyone is blessed with having a happy home, and a warm bed, and could go to sleep each day without suffering the pangs of hunger or knowing the pain of starvation.
"Choji this life we live is not going to be pleasant, and it is not going to be pretty, we are going to be sent to deal with stuff most kids would roll into a ball and cry, but that is our fate as Ninjas, every time you eat, remember this, you are blessed with being able to so always be thankful for your daily meals, they call you lard butt, piggy, porky or any other fucking names, then use that anger to workout and push yourself to become stronger, strong enough that their stupid words mean less than a fart on a warm summer day breeze."
Choji was choked to hear him say this, as Sasuke placed his hand on his shoulder, "And I and Naruto will be there to help you along the way, so get off the ground, and let's go Choji, the beginning of your hell march is just over that horizon." From that moment on Choji was seen training and running alongside Sasuke and Naruto, Shikamaru called it troublesome, till Naruto told him that not training was not troublesome it was so stupid it could be considered a form of suicide.
"Yes, you can use your clan technique to hold a person in place but if your chakra reserves run too low, that person can break free, so instead of bitching and moaning as you sit on your ass watching fucking clouds, get off your ass and we can teach you how to increase how much chakra you have, make it more efficient, and even make you strong enough that you can still fight when your reserves are running low unless you aren't up for the challenge, scaredy cat."
Shino was the next boy that became good friends by talking with them and developing his social skills, developing his social skills allowed him to communicate with his friends, family, and insects much better and the training made him able to do things most kids his age consider impossible.
As they slowly grew up they began to sneak out of the village and pull off things that most parents consider crazy until they were the ones being rescued by the band of friends, thanks to Shino they were able to find out about the ninja's pretending to be people that wanted to establish a trade contract with her family, and thanks to the others the night that they tried to kidnap Hinata was the night that several supposedly highly skilled enemy ninjas were beaten and killed by the band of friends.
The rescue went pretty much as if they were dealing with a band of bandits, Shino used his bugs to sense and debilitate the enemy, Choji used his body expansion to basically become a giant and knocked some of the ninjas out, and Shikamaru held their leader in place as the fool was standing in the shadow of the trees of the forest of death. In the end, Naruto got to fight the leader and killed him in quick succession, using a style that for some reason it reminded people of a leaping toad. Naruto had access to all the books, scrolls, and diaries from his parents, and he put what he learned on those pages to good use.
As they were training more and more people were amazed at how much stronger, faster, and more focused the band of friends was as compared to other kids who were supposed to be only going to start at the Academy. Naruto knew everything he needed to teach them physically to make them that strong, and Sasuke knew all the other training that would get their skills to be this good.
As the day finally came the group of friends went together to their first day at the academy, most people play to be ninjas, these people had been doing that work in secret for some time, and the way they got to the academy showed it by them running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop like it was no different than a person running on the ground.
The last three people that joined their group were sort of surprising to Naruto but knowing what was in their future, he accepted, Sakura was someone that they had to break free of her insecurities and highly self-conscious about her own large forehead, and the fact that Naruto began to teach her things that truly challenged her made it quite easy and fun for her to catch up to the others in their little group of friends.
Ino was the second person who managed to break free of her unhealthy eating habits, and thanks to Sasuke and his understanding of psychology, her clan abilities became a lot scarier when Sasuke trapped her inside a Genjutsu, and in that place, he taught her everything she would have learned before, and thanks to her joining their training with others, she became much more powerful, confident, and skilled.
The third was someone that actually didn't need any training at all, she is a fully trained Jounin, but for some strange reason Naruto loved to spend time training and hunting with her whenever he had some free time, Anko for one loved the company since most of the village either insults her or tried to avoid her thanks to what happened with her mentor, Sasuke on the other hand, actually had to fight her in a spar to get her to agree to let him and attempt to sign the Snake Contract.
Manda was shocked to see a child ask to be given the chance to be their summoner, and thus Manda decided to make the test extra hard, to make the brat learn his place in the old food chain or so the snake said. It took Sasuke three months, but he actually managed to pass every test, and Manda with a bit of surprise allowed him to sign the contract. Sasuke whenever talking with him or the other snakes he treated them with respect, consideration, and friendliness, so much so that Manda's own daughter decided to become Sasuke's personal summon. her name was Stheno often joked that Sasuke would become good friends with her sisters.
The training was progressing smoothly, and by the time they had practical lessons, both Iruka and Mizki were quite impressed with the level of skill of their students. They had honestly expected these students to simply relax and have fun while growing up or at least till they entered the academy, but they were not expecting them to have so much experience with ninja knowledge and skills. The friends of Sasuke and Naruto were the most impressive of the lot, many of the other students came from long-standing clans or families with a long tradition as ninjas, but to see one of the civilian families have a daughter that could stand to be as strong as an Inuzuka, or and Yamanaka, it was shocking to both teachers. This girl named Sakura was sparing on the same level as one of the noble clans.
In less than a year it was clear that if Sakura kept training and studying as she was, she could easily be declared the best Kunoichi of the year, she had a gift for learning things rather quickly her chakra control was impressive, and much like her friends, she already mastered a basic chakra control exercise. Iruka was one day explaining what Chakra is and how it was used or where it came from when Ino put up her hand and told Iruka that she and her friends already know, to make matters even more shocking for the teacher, they already finished the test to check their elemental affinity.
Iruka hearing this asked Ino to explain how they learned their elemental affinity, to which she took a piece of paper from her pocket. "The Elemental Affinity is checked by using a special paper made using a tree that was grown using chakra, if a person sends chakra through the piece of paper it will react, depending on the affinity, the paper will turn to dust, or crumble into the dirt, can cause it to tear in half, wrinkle, even become damp." She pumped chakra through the paper and it quickly began to react, one third of it crumbled into dust, the second third burned to ash, and the remaining part was damp to the touch.
"My friends and I wanted to learn about our affinity when we were little because it will take us a long time to master elemental control of our affinities, most people only have one, and some people have two or more but those are rare. Like Naruto and Sasuke, who apparently have more than one affinity. It is thanks to them that we learned so much about Chakra and learned the joys of learning."
Iruka looked at Naruto and his friends and wondered how in the world did Naruto know so much when he was just a kid. "Good, that was a great explanation, as such I will provide you each a piece of chakra paper to test and see which affinity you each have, as an incentive however, the two students who are at the top of this class this year, I shall give them a scroll on elemental control. Most of you can test your affinity after today since I shall teach you next how to access your chakra."
As for practical skills, Sakura and her friends were hitting every single target and they somehow became very proficient in fighting each other in close-range combat, which for Mizuki kept him from falling asleep, since usually new students trying to practice new skills were extremely boring. Sasuke hit every target and Naruto actually managed to puncture them right through, meaning he didn't as much hit the target instead he wanted to destroy them, completely.
Time went by and sure enough other students had to ask the group of friends for help understanding something or another, but the one thing the other students wondered how the hell it is that they manage to get so much done in their studies, and so much experience in practical skills, to which Sasuke merely pointed at Naruto. "He made a seal, and that seal when placed on a person allows a person to make at least one shadow clone, a single shadow clone halves the time of a person's training or studies because everything the clone learns the original gets when the clone ends."
Naruto glared at Sasuke and began to shake his finger at him, "Oh, no, don't you blame me, you also managed to create a Jutsu that allows you to basically turn a few minutes into hours if not days, granted you are an Uchiha, your family is great at using Genjutsu, but to this extent, I am still calling bullshit on it that you never take credit for it."
Sasuke was quick to remind Naruto that technically he is basically using a Genjutsu that a person has to have a fully mature Sharingan to use, he called it a much more peaceful and beneficial effect of the Tsukoyomi Genjutsu, basically changing the place to something more friendly, with stuff he needs, minus all the gore and torture, and the Tsukoyomi is a clan technique so he couldn't very well take credit for it, it wouldn't be ethical.
Days went by and Naruto and his friends continued to train, had the fact that Itachi's once beloved had remained to help Sasuke not been present, Sasuke could only say his daily life would be very much different, to the point that he would have no one, or at least that is what most people would think, but unlike most people Naruto and Sasuke knew things, and they knew who they were, they knew what is their connection and how much they were if anything family.
So no matter how many people would believe that without his new adopted mother figure, he would be alone, well that is simply not true at all, in the end, he would always have his cousins and those within their families, Naruto was not clanless and in some other timelines he was so called, four clans, four clans that were instrumental in the founding and creation of Konohagakure were in fact very much connected, these four clans were the descendants of the sage of six paths. He only had two children, but those two were the progenitors of the four clans that founded Konoha and in some sense the creation of ninjas.
As they went through one history class after another, the urge to scream at some points was absolutely maddening, they knew the real reason why the bloody feud that tore the two sons of the sage happened, they knew the real reason why Uzushiogakure was in fact destroyed, they knew all these things and couldn't say a single thing about them without risking being called either a liar, traitor or nutcase.
They lived like that for years, going through so many history lessons that had been changed and morphed into something that they could barely recognize that made them sick to their stomachs. The only aspect that kept them going forward through the academy was two in fact, the first is that they both still shared the desire to make their parents proud, and the second was the desire to help their friends. Those friends were the only part of the academy that made the entire thing worthwhile.
It didn't take long before they were assigned to a team and much to his shock Naruto was actually placed in a team that they knew would happen, Team Seven under the tutelage of Kakashi Hakate. The only exception was since they knew what would happen, Naruto actually avoided killing quite a few people, the demon brothers for instance, he actually got to reason with them, and that got him to meet Zabuza and Haku.
Knowing everything Gato was planning to do and where to find the evidence of these plans proved to be quite beneficial in convincing Zabuza and those that were with him to switch sides, and like that, they used the knowledge they had to try and save as many people as possible. Sasuke was in fact told to pretend to abandon Konoha, to get Orochimaru to become an ally of Konoha, Sasuke immediately agreed to know what was coming their way, and knowing all that he did, he had the one thing Orochimaru wanted more than just his eyes.
At the end of the wave mission they returned back to Konoha but with the added members of Zabuza's group, and once upon hearing why they were doing this, Hiruzen immediately offered Zabuza and those that followed him an invitation to join Konoha, doing missions to help the village hidden in the mist overcome a tyrant that had begun a bloody genocidal campaign against anyone with a bloodline trait.
Sasuke left with the sound five and they thought that their master Orochimaru had actually gotten the last Uchiha to betray Konoha, but it was all an act, in one of the many times that Orochimaru taught things to Sasuke, Sasuke told him there is a way for him to become an immortal, and that got the attention of Orochimaru, but he knew better than to expect it to be free.
"Look Orochimaru, you want to be free from the danger of death, you want immortality, fine, your obsession with getting revenge on Konoha needs to stop, the fact is that naming you Hokage would have done more harm to Konoha than good, but besides that, you would never be able to do as much research as you have if they had given you the title you want. You want to be immortal, and I know how you can achieve that, but there is a time of great tragedy and trouble coming our way, from a place you can't even imagine, and as such we need to work together to be ready to fight genocidal monsters that others would call gods, and to do that, Konoha and the world will need you and your genius."
Orochimaru was actually smiling hearing Sasuke say that, to hear someone recognize his achievements as a researcher as a genius and hearing the appreciation for it was enough to fill Orochimaru with pride if not joy, "You are probably right Sasuke, but what about your revenge against Itachi, the one that killed most of your clan?" Sasuke told him Itachi didn't kill most of his clan, it was the insane machinations of one person, the same person that had tricked him over and over for countless lifetimes, the one member of the Akatsuki and their true leader, the one people called Black Zetsu.
