Chapter 1:

Featuring Stereo hearts...who are they?

The large auditorium summoning upto 5000 number of young girls and guys as audience is blasting up with tumultuous cheers , applauds, hooting, whistles and showering their fan-love on the band that's about to perform on the stage.

The host who's presenting them is excited himself as he blurts out in his frisky tone to counter the overly optimistically aggressively happy public.

"Now on the stage, they are fresh, hot, and straight out of an oven, The Stereo Hearts!"

With lights dimmed silhouette, Fresnel and spot lights dancing briskly all over the coffered conical ceiling and backstage, loud brilliantly exciting music blasts in background. Six guys could be seen emerging out one by one.

They are dressed in funky yet cool tees and toughest jeans that could fit around them, that just adding the fan-girls to jump up, wave and pepper them with flying kisses.

Soon the drumming starts, "With a 1, a 2, an 4..." The rap uncontrollably starts and our protagonist singers and musicians get positioned with mics, guitars, piano, drums, violin and saxophones.

In the middle of the stage is Tyson, holding his beloved guitar and genuinely strumming it. He flashes his signature smirk at the audience and begins,

"Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep, dreaming about the things that we could be...But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard, said no more counting dollars...We'll be counting stars." His voice is magnificently tipsy and that's what the audience gets thrilled for.

"Yeah, we'll be counting stars," he winks.

Kai friskily beats up drum while Max plays the electric guitar speedily as per the tone.

Kane begins, in his masculine fierce voice, another taste that's irresistible, "I see this life, like a swinging vine, swing my heart across the line. And in my face is flashing signs. Seek it out and ye shall find,"

Ray clutches his mic and blurts loudly in the tone, "Old, but I'm not that old. Young, but I'm not that bold. And I don't think the world is sold. On just doing what we're told". Tala does the vocals while Zeo controls the synthesizers perfectly. In the fleeting next second, the entire band serenades in unison,

"I-I-I feel something so right, doing the wrong thing. And I feel something so wrong doing the right thing. I couldn't lie, couldn't lie, couldn't lie," the unity with which they sing is an overload of masculine charms as each one of them sings ethereally and soulfully. Their sounds are distinct but together they create a disastrous effect.

After a blunt pause, Tyson devastatingly drops a wink at them,

"Everything that kills me makes me feel alive!" He sings that verse so passionately that everyone turns on their torches on phones and waves at him with even louder whistles and cheers.

These are Stereo hearts, and their hearts really beat on music. Stereotypical.

"Now that was a blast, you may now get back to your seats. "

"You made me made proud boys!" Hiro says with a grin. He's Tyson's elder brother, doing the Internship.

"Couldn't have done if it wasn't for you, Music director." Tyson sarcastically spoke. They are undergraduates, of the Great National Tokyo's Medical University. But that hasn't stopped them from pursuing their passion. Music. Never.

"Don't forget the composer, Tyson." Zeo said looking at Tala.

"Yeah dude, how do you get these emotions? Huh. Found someone?" Teased Max.

"Will you stop that? I'm doing you guys a favor." Tala stated as he glared at his friends, but soon softened his facials.

"But I have to admit, you all did really well. The way Tyson was forgetting the lines, I thought we're doomed."

"No I wasn't!" Tyson back fired.

"Oh yes you were!" Tala teased,

"Give it a rest would ya? It isn't exactly his fault. I mean look at the judges. They are even more frightening than our algebra teacher from high-school" they surreptitiously chuckled. "No wonder he was nervous, besides he's mostly the guitarist, it's either me, you or Max that gets the mic. Isn't it Tyson?" Kane shuffled Tyson's messy hair, resulting in dropping of his beloved cap.

"Hey drop it!" Tyson immediately caught his cap, combing his hair with his fingers, "I can sing as well. Fan girls die to hear me sing ya know," he boasts. But it's sweet.

"Tyson always gets nervous when it comes to love songs. He prefers to sing them 'alone'. Why so shy Tyson? Who is she?" Ray nudges his buddy.

"Umm, I don't know." He shrugged and fell down in anime style.

"I mean, I always want to find my dream girl, but I don't know how. Wonder when I'll find her." Tyson sighed sadly.

"You sound like a lovesick puppy, lil bro. "

Hiro chuckled softly. Tyson's only family he's. Their mother passed by when he was ten. From the very start of his childhood, music was his passion. He had many guitars which got used and broke; but the first guitar that he got... he still has. It was given by his mother. It's little old fashioned and caramel wooden brown but to him, it's as precious as gold. It's the same guitar he used in the concert as well today.

But Tyson does have his dream girl. He didn't find her yet, but he's been dreaming of her since his first concert, it's been seven years. He sees her in his dreams. She has dark brown lush hair, ruby eyes like gems that sparkle in her chic, and her lips are of perfect thickness and curves, facial muscles smooth and unblemished. He hasn't seen her completely but only the glimpses. She visits his dreams now and then.

"Don't worry dude, you'll find her, I'm certain of it. And she will be special." Zeo wrapped his arm around his shoulders cheerily.

"Yeah, but I want to see my sister-in-laws first." Tyson said as everyone busted in a fit of laughter. His sense of humor was just sprinkling charms everywhere. And the coolest thing about Stereo Hearts was they all are single yet. No girlfriends. Just few crushes.

"You guys wanna skip the class today?" A voice interrupted. Kai walked passed them towards his car with a smirk on his face and a bag slung over his shoulder.

Everyone blinked, then Zeo checked his watch.

"WE'RE GOING TO BE HORRIBLY LATE! THERE IS ONLY FIVE MINUTES LEFT!"

Tyson, Max, Zeo and Kane start darted the car, when Kane said, "Guys! Our bags are in the changing room!" They start running towards the room. Kai sweatdrops.

"Kai just wait for sec!" Tyson calls as he vanishes into the room.

Ray, who had kept his bag in the car along with Tala and Hiro, blinked and gave a hopeless sigh.

'Some things never change. '

Here are the Stereo Hearts : Tyson Granger, Hiro Granger, Kai Hiwatari, Ray Kon, Max Tate, Kane Yamashita, Zeo Zagart and Tala Ivanov.

They've been friends since childhood. Not just friends, but singers and musicians as well- Best in the University. There was just a gap of year between them in ages but that wasn't something. They ended up in school together, did high school together and now landed up together again in Medical graduation. They're in second year, except Kai, Tala, Kane and Ray who are in 3rd year. All of them are single yet. After done with the street concert, they headed towards their university.

"Woh, sorry, excuse me, pardon, woh there, sorry in hurry..." Tyson pushes and barrels the students as he reached his locker. The locker's area is less overloading with peers but they hurry as well.

"Bro! Your guitar!" Kane reminded.

"Sorry." Tyson took of the guitar holder from his shoulder and made space for it.

"Race you." Max said as he took a sprint, a 'no running in the hallway' was heard.

"Hey wait!" Tyson said as he was about to shut the door of his locker, but stopped. He glanced at the slightly visible caramel colored guitar through the glass. He smiled as he stroked the wood, and swiftly locked the door before sprinting towards his first class. Whenever he saw that guitar, he bet he knew his mom watched him from heaven because the feeling he got was just divine.

"I won." Max grinned as he showed his palm to him.

Tyson shook his head in defeat and handed him a chocolate bar as he sat next to him in class. The teacher enters.

"Okay class. Today we will be learning a new chapter. I hope everybody is here because I won't allow anyone once the lecture starts," the swarthy complexioned hefty man announced and the girls of their class gulp in.

"Today we'll be dealing with Cell necrosis. So..."

"Man, this is one of the toughest and longest chapters yet." Max said as he took out his book.

"WHAT?!" Tyson exclaimed in a low voice as he flipped through the pages.

"Oh no," he said as he saw the chapter's name. 'This is going to be a long day.'

At Recess:

"Hey your show was awesome! I've been at the concert!"

"It was fabulous!"

The new junior boys surrounded them with remarks and inquisitiveness. Tyson blinked nervously as they got overwhelmingly too much praise and attention all of a sudden.

It was New Academic Year and 2nd years were in full flow to see their juniors, flirt them, torture them, and a major part of ragging was still up. If they all knew this would happen, they wouldn't have roamed around their seniors but uh poor them.

"Seriously I've become your fan now!"

"Can I get an autograph?"

"You're Kai, right?"

"Can I click a picture with you?"

Stereo hearts gave them quizzical and weird looks,

"Do you've any idea we are your seniors?" Kane shot glare at them once and they were all shot quiet.

"And that you've to address us as ma'ams and sirs?" Tala icily said with thunderous glare. They all gulped. Tyson wondered what was taking them so long to just shoo away.

"Out. To your classes, kids." Kai smirked coldly and all of them stampeded out of their private room.

"Anything yet, Zeo?" Tyson sighed.

"No Kane."

The results of the street concert would be announced soon, and the Stereo Hearts are eagerly waiting for it. They shifted from their room and walked to the canteen, sat in around a round table with Zeo sitting with his laptop, Tyson with his guitar, Max on the table, Ray calmly chewing a ham beside Tyson, Kane standing behind Zeo, Tala standing opposite to them and Kai leaning against the nearest wall by his signature pose.

"Come on guys, chillax. I'm sure we're going to the top." Tyson said as he softly played the strings of his guitar.

"Look who's nervous now." Max chuckled.

"I am not nervous, just worried." Kane said.

"Tyson's least scared here," Zeo winked,

"Huh and why's that?" Tyson petulantly scowled,

"Because you're busy romancing with your guitar!" Max filled in and for a moment everyone heartily chuckled. Tyson rolled his eyes and quelled down his slight and sudden embarrassment.

"What's the difference?" Tala said as he chuckled.

"Any message." Hiro asked as he entered the scenario, lovingly shuffling his brother's hair before taking a seat beside Zeo.

"Ah, nothing yet." Zeo sighed for hundredth time.

"You sure you gave the correct address Zoo?" Max asked, using the pet name to irritate Zeo.

"Of course I have! And stop calling me that!" He exclaimed as a vein popped on his head. Suddenly he froze.

"There's an email."

"Then open it." Kai said as he finally recovered from his boredom.

"Okay..." Zeo gulped as he opened the email. Everyone held their breath and squinted at the green-head.

"We made it! We made it to the finals!" Exclaimed Zeo as he jumped from his seat.

"Then what are we waiting for? LET'S PARTY!" Tyson exclaimed as they laughed and gathered their instruments in canteen, ordered tons of cokes and pizzas, partied, and pulled out a regular frisky euphoric show of singing and banging the instrumentals in their own irresistible charms.

Everyone in the canteen smiled and watched them curiously and cheered for them, after all they were the hearts of the university, the Stereo Hearts.

This time, they all chorused together, except Kai that is who loyally played the drum and saxophones. His fingers were made for it!

"So why you walk straight into my dreams every day!" They caroled without holding back, as loud as they can, without the mics that is.

"One day just babe walk into my arms here, I'm waiting, hey." The rhythmic banging grew louder and the canteen cook smiled dreamily as they got a melodious show every day free, plus Stereo hearts always ordered so much of food almost every day.

"And ohhh ohoooo...oooo, and I'm right here for ya!" They chanted loudly and cheered. Tyson's voice was distinct and yet his charms would captivate the entire band alone. And then was Kane, who was the soul of the band, his loud, bold and aggressive voice just acted like magic to the audience.

Everyone in the canteen whistled for them, which was filled with their own classmates and seniors. The juniors didn't dare to show up yet. A few of them were spotted in corners, but mostly were girls.

A girl with chocolate color hair was sitting in a corner along with her friends, enjoying the blissful music, staring the navy blue haired guy dreamily and excitedly as he continued to play his guitar so smoothly and move his lips with the beat. Her eyes were all for it.

Flashback:

"Girls please! Leave me alone! I don't want to go to the canteen; I'm fine in the garden." The brunette exclaimed as she was dragged by her girlfriends.

"C'mon Hilary! You're missing out all the fun. You don't know how awesome it is there!" A pink haired girl exclaimed as the thought of a blackhaired boy came to her mind.

"Mariah please! I know you're talking about that boy band. Please, let me go. I don't wanna stalk anyone."

"Sis, we aren't stalking anyone. We're gonna hear them sing. What's life without music?" Hikari spoke as she continued to drag her twin.

"Yeah, and you have become a boring grandma in the library." Lydia spoke, as she walked behind them.

"And besides, we're 20, there isn't anything wrong about liking a guy?" Mariah said honestly, slightly blushing.

They entered the canteen, unfortunately, it was full.

"Now what?" Hilary asked.

Lydia looked around, and spotted a half empty bench.

"We can sit there." They went to the table, where a red head and a blue haired girl.

"Would you mind if we sit here?" Lydia asked in polite voice.

"Yeah, sure." The red haired girl smiled.

"So, stalking?" The blue haired girl asked, somehow reading their mind, smirking lightly.

"Uh, no, why?" Mariah stammered as Hilary glared at her.

"Well, if you look closely, then you see most of the girls, are here to watch the Stereo Hearts sing." The red head pointed towards a group of fan-girls.

"Not at all. I was forced here." Hilary said sipping her orange juice, not at all in a good mood.

"Hilary, Hilary Tachibana, Right?" The blue haired girl asked.

"You know me?"

"Who doesn't? You were the topper in the Medical entrance test, isn't it? The teachers won't stop giving an example of you." The red haired girl chuckled.

"Oh, I didn't know I was that popular." Hilary blushed.

"Hehe, yeah. I'm Mariam, this is Salima." Grinned the bluenette.

"I'm Hikari, she is Mariah, Lydia, and of course, Hilary, my twin."

"Figures. So tell me the truth. Are you really stalking them?"

"We would be lying if we said we weren't." Lydia blushed.

"We?" Hilary stated with a final glare and shock as she marked her head away and stared outside the window.

They rolled their eyes.

"We're cheering for them." Mariam said sheepishly looking at the blonde guy.

"Hey! They are going to begin!" Hikari exclaimed as she pointed to the center of the room.

Hilary continued to stare outside. 'Why am I even here?' It's not like I'm gonna like someone or anything. I don't even look that good.' But suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by a cheery masculine voice singing. Her thoughts betrayed her heart. Her heart danced for a second, adrenaline dose pumping in her veins. She carefully turned her lowered head towards the band and slowly lifted her eyes to just land up staring him who has moved her heart in the first place.

'Auburn eyes. He has auburn eyes.'

She stared at his serene face as he played the guitar and continued to sing. She sighed blissfully. His voice made her forget about her worries. She was in her own heaven. Little did she know, that hers and Tyson's friends noticed her. Her friends smiled at each other. And Tyson's friends nudged each other, Tyson being the only clueless one, absolutely.

End of Flashback

Ever since then, she has been visiting the canteen every day. Every day her feelings deepened. The only thing she feared was that she wasn't good enough. Hurting herself every now and then, trying to keep her emotions in check. But the more she tried, the harder she fell for him and more her friends questioned her of her quietness, contemplation, secret blushes and loving smiles she particularly gave to no one when she was alone. And suddenly,

"Enough is enough!" Julia, a 4th year, stood at the entrance, looking as if she was having a headache.

"What's with the nuisance? This is a university, not a fish market! Get out of the canteen!"

"Woah calm down. We weren't committing a crime here girl." Kane shouted as he was ready for a fight, pulling up the sleeves of his blue checkered shirt.

"Leave it guys." Tala said as he glared at the dual haired girl, but helplessly walked out of the canteen. Not just because Julia was their senior but because he really didn't want to pull an argument with her.

"Hey wait! Tala!" Their gang followed.

"Enough!" Mariam threw her fists on the table, catching all the attention.

"Let's go guys, there's a mood spoiler in the show." She glared at Julia, which she returned.

They left the room as well.

A large round garden was in the center of the campus, with a big fountain in the center and rows of roses lining its borders. Hilary was seated on the bench alone. Hilary was writing something in her dairy, pretty lost and yet happy as her pen worked.

'I heard his name is Tyson. Tyson Granger' she write delicately, her heart softly beating in slowness as she write his name in her diary for the first time, 'He's my immediate senior. Auburn eyes that looks luring and yet immensely loyal. His voice when he sings: just a mix of tipsy, frisky and brilliant. He has midnight blue hair He has so many friends and admirers, I don't even know half of them-'

"C'mon Hils! What are you writing again?" Lydia said as she tried to snatch it from her.

"No!" Hilary gripped the dairy harder.

"No wonder she's a topper." Mariam chuckled.

"Actually, that's her diary. She always carries it with her." Hikari said.

"Ooooo." They said teasingly.

"So, who were you writing about? I bet it's that bluenette from the band, huh?" Mariah teased.

"No, of course not." Hilary denied but her florid blush betrayed her.

"Aww look how she's blushing, I really haven't seen someone in real life blush this deep and prettily!" Salima bit her tongue and pulled out her camera on phone. Hilary gasped and hid her face, "No way ma'am!"

"Come on, spit it out girl. It's not crime." Salima urged. Hilary largely gulped down the lump of fear and nascent love tingling her. She slowly removed her fingers after peaking at their curious faces.

"I guess you're right," Hilary sighed in slight jerk. "Maybe a crush, nothing more." She tried to close the topic immediately, blissfully staring at her dairy cover.

"Just a crush?" Hikari asked carefully, slightly disappointed.

"Um, I need to go to the restroom, if you'll excuse." She took her bag and went off.

"Hey wait! But why with the bag?" Mariam teased her from her back.

"Are you going to canteen?" Mariah teased,

"But brother-in-law is having classes now!"

"They'll look cute together." Lydia said as they smiled.

"I'm sure she's lying," Hikari said confidently, "I was born with her, if I wouldn't know, then who would?"

With the boys (Empty music room):

"Jeez, that girl's a witch! What's up with her anyway? Allergic to music?" Tyson said as he tossed his cap and caught it.

"Who knows? Maybe she is." Max said as he tried to make a new beat on the drum.

Kai sat on edge of a desk, cleaning his mouth organ with a handkerchief. Tala stood by the window, staring through the glass, still slightly pissed off by the whole incident.

Suddenly, Tyson heard snickering. Standing up, he saw Ray, Zeo, Kane, and Hiro discussing something and snickering. And did he hear his name?

Yes.

"Yo guys, what's so funny?"

"Nothing Tyson, just talking." Kane tried to reassure, but Tyson was a stubborn bull. He definitely heard his name and his curiosity was in skies now.

"But you were literally talking about me." Tyson raised an eyebrow. This wasn't very common for him to hold on a topic, but whenever he does, he doesn't give up easily. And they knew it.

"Uh, well, Tyson." Ray tried to think of way to distract him but instead Hiro simply said, "There's is this girl who visits the canteen every day. We guess she likes you."

Tyson blinked. "Who?"

"Hilary Tachibana." Max replied.

"Who's she?" Everyone fell in anime style, even Kai sweatdropped.

"So Tyson." Kane said.

"Why am I not surprised?" Tala shook his head hopelessly.

"She's the topper of her year, our junior by the way," Kai said, not attempting to move from his place.

"Oh, the first years!" Tyson spoke, "But how can you say that she likes me?"

"Simple, she is least interested in these things. She prefers to stay in a peaceful place, rather than staying in a place like the canteen. Well, that's what Mariah told me." Ray scratched his hair.

"Uh-huh..." Tyson was slightly dissatisfied, but let the topic go as he softly played his guitar, just like caressing his dream girlfriend.

'So she likes me huh?' He smirked, as a devilish plan came to his mind. 'Let's see how much. Time for some fun.' He chuckled. 'Plus she's a junior. We guys haven't even begun ragging yet.'

Little did he know, that his little 'fun' would, one day, threaten their relationship to the edge...

A/N:

(1) Simy here; okay guys, so I and Sam has been working on this fic since around 2 years, it went on and off. The background idea of this story was a song video where a crowd of boys was singing a song in a restaurant, so that was one part. But I have been ardently wanting to write a Senior/Junior fic so combined both of them in here. So I had outlined the plot and roughly has scenes in my mind, and asked Sam to co-write.

For almost few months, we completely forgot about this fic, busy in our lives, and then all of a sudden when I read the old chaps a month back, I ardently wanted to complete this fic. So within almost a month, we quickly wrapped up this fic. Recently. It was abrupt but I was hyped.

Let me give you all a fair warning, it's gonna be long, probably monotonous, and yes, toxicity will be there, and maybe too much of hurt/comfort as in genre in later chapters but as of now, there's just tease and humor. Also, since this is an A.U, Hilary's character has been slightly made softer than originally it was. So enjoy! Anddd, do leave reviews!

(2) Sam here;

Yeah so it's practically my first debut in real time, and since we're cowriting, it's gonna be grand!!
