For the first time in his entire life as he goes to the Airbus docking bay during a seemingly bright sunny morning, Jaune Arc never felt that he had to leave Arcadia behind to start a new at the Kingdom of Vale.
Clad in his trademark black hoodie with gray armor, jeans, and brown boots, the young blonde pulls two of his brown luggage bags while carrying his yellow, orange, and black backpack.
Though he does want to see Beacon Academy that lies within Vale, it still pains Jaune that he had to leave behind everything back home in Doremy, including his own family, who had agreed to help drop him off to Arcadia's docking area and gave him emotional support during one of darkest moments in his entire life.
Even worse, as the young man is forced to acknowledge, is that he's going to miss his older sister Rouge and his younger sister Bleu, who he respected despite the three getting on each other's nerves growing up.
So, while Jaune cam use his time in Beacon Academy to help hone his skills to become a better fighter and become an actual Hunter, it also serves as an excuse to get away from the scars from his past.
Including a certain redhead that managed to break his heart in the worst way imaginable.
As Jaune begins to move his luggage to a particular docking area, he can't help but feel that he's just abandoned the people that helped founded the group to not only investigate strange occurrences within Doremy, but to battle various threats along with it.
Sure, several battles weren't all that easy and Jaune has got his fair share of injuries along the way, but he and the group had managed to stay strong in spite of the hardships they'd faced.
Unfortunately for them, what caused the group to get disbanded was their leader having a relationship behind her friends' back.
Especially when one of said friends of the group having strong feelings towards the leader that leads the team that felt more like an actual group of friends that were supposed to be together through thick and thin.
Until said leader felt that a genuine relationship with one of her close friends apparently felt overrated, for all the wrong reasons why.
But his thoughts were quickly interrupted when the blonde unexpectedly gets a hug behind him as he continues to walk, stopping him without warning.
And while he can feel the softness of the hug, the hugger unfortunately carries an all too familiar voice.
"Jaune, where are you going?" a soft, almost whimpering feminine voice called behind him.
Said blonde didn't even turn around, knowing who that person really is.
"Getting away from you," Jaune grumbled darkly, not wanting to create a scene in the Arcadia docking area. "Scarlett Fairbairn."
Said female couldn't help but whimper even further. "Jaune, please, I'm sorry I cheated on you, I really am."
"How can I trust someone who think it's okay to date someone behind my back?" Jaune replied.
"I know, and I'm terribly sorry for all of this," the now named Scarlett replied. "Especially for breaking your heart, Jaune."
"Are you sorry for betraying me, Scarlett?" The blonde asked darkly. "Or are you sorry that you got caught cheating with someone else?"
The female couldn't even make response, further proving the young man's point.
"Jaune, please," Scarlett begged. "Our relationship doesn't have to end like this."
"The relationship did end after you decided to date Rad Stoneman, Scarlett," the blonde stated, before turning his head around to see a shaking young woman that managed to let go of the hug. "It's over."
Said young woman has almost very long yet slightly messy bright red hair that almost reaches to her hips, bluish green eyes, and was wearing a faded white long sleeve dress shirt with red trimmings, a slightly wrinkled black skirt that goes to the middle of her thighs, black pantyhose, and black shoes with red laces (think of oxford shoes in real life).
"Please Jaune," Scarlett begged, her faded bluish green eyes watering as she tries to control her tear-stained face as she appeared to barely have any form of sleep. "Don't abandon me, please?"
"I'm sorry," the blonde replied. "But this is a goodbye, Scarlett."
Jaune tightens his grip on the luggage. "I have to move on without you . . . my princess."
As he resumes his walk towards the destinated docking area, Scarlett races to the nearest empty bathroom before collapsing the floor, her cries now coming out full force.
Jaune, my precious knight, Scarlett start choking from the tears coming out of her eyes, guilt and remorse coming out of her. Why did it go so horribly wrong!?
She resumes crying for the next couple of minutes, hating herself for betraying Jaune's trust in her, hating herself for falling in love with that pathetic excuse called Rad Stoneman, and hating herself for losing one of her closest allies combined with the disbandment of their team.
But more important, how Scarlett's cheating ultimately caused one of the worst tragedies in her entire life.
