Where was he?

Or really, how was he?

There was no sensation of anything surrounding him, yet he knew he existed, right here, right now. He felt light, airy, as if he was floating endlessly. Nothing tethered him to this ethereal plane of existence.

Was this purgatory?

No. It's the crossing of paths. Fate will now weave a new story.

Was that a thought or a voice?

Everything stilled. For just a moment, it all warped into a singular point.

The beginning. And the end.

-{ ~ }-

"Eat this!" Here it was, the most pivotal moment of Izuku Midoriya's life. Eating hair. Eating hair to gain power, truly, the hero society he lived in was one full of surprises.

"Are you sure that's the only way?" The green haired boy asked his mentor.

The hulking man shrugged. "All you would need to do is ingest some DNA, but unless you feel like drinking some blood after your hard work clearing the beach instead of water, you're free to do so." Izuku cringed at the thought, plucking the hair out of All Might's fingers.

"You're probably right," he sighed, defeated. "Well here goes nothing!" The hair tickled his esophagus, leading him to cough in disgust on the floor. All Might chuckled over his kneeling form.

"I'll admit, even the number one hero was knocked on his ass from inheriting one for all like that." Hearing him say that made Izuku laugh. "My mentor's hair… ah. It was quite long!" Izuku could feel a small break in emotion, but didn't dare question it. Maybe if they were closer he could, but not now. Especially with how much All Might just gave to him. "Now then, you should feel One For All begin to kick in just before the entrance exam. That gives you enough time to-"

Every word began to crumble and fall into the auditory void. Izuku stood straight, a blank look in his eyes as he started gasping for air. All Might just said it would be in a few hours, so what was happening now? He could feel it. The new sensation of One For All coursing in his veins. Was it supposed to be this powerful? Is this how All Might felt every day?

"Young Midoriya! What's going on?!" All Might grabbed the teen by his shoulders, lightly pulling him into his form as he stared at the boy's eyes. It was a shock to see his eyes rolled over, the whites shining in the rising sun. All Might was about to jump towards the nearest hospital when Izuku's body exploded in a burst of light.

Shimmering all around his form, a green aura enveloped the inheritor as he started writhing in pain, screaming into the sky. It was like fire bled into his nerve endings. Nothing in his body felt right. He needed to cut the flow of power now, but when had he activated it in the first place? He tried grabbing at his head but the ocean of sweat that was pouring off led his hands to fall limp at his sides. All Might could do nothing but watch, as every time he approached his successor's body, red lightning jumped off of his body and burned his form. To his utter dismay, it hurt like hell, enough to numb his fingers.

Yet as quickly as it began, it ended just as fast. The aura broke away, the lightning faded into the ground, but Izuku's body was still convulsing somewhat. All Might grabbed the boy by his back and knelt over him. "Midoriya speak to me! Did One For All do this to you?!" Worry dripped from his words as he watched Izuku's eyelids shudder and flap open. The bright emerald pupils he had gotten used to over the last 10 months were now dull and faded, harboring a world of emotion he couldn't even begin to understand.

"Mi…" he mumbled. "Midoriya?"

"Yes Midoriya, you! What's going on?"

Izuku looked to the floor. His gaze then traced the coastline slowly. With a final, slow turn of his head, he stared at his mentor. Deep ocean blue met forest green, and Midoriya's eyes widened with shock.

"Yagi?!" This was a surprise to All Might. "Yagi what- how are you- Gah!" Izuku dropped to the floor again as his head was pounding with information, yet none of it seemed to stay. What was all of this?

"Young Midoriya, how do you know my name? I never told you in the months I've known you." All Might paused as he thought about it. "Maybe I should have told you, but regardless, I didn't. So how do you know?" All Might watched the teen get up on his feet, but was surprised at the amount of effort it took. It was like watching a fawn stand for the first time.

"Yagi… Yagi! You're Toshinori Yagi!" Izuku exclaimed as he stumbled. "And- and I'm Izuku! Midoriya!" He managed to stand without having to forcefully balance himself. "Izuku. Izuku… Where… am I?"

"Young Midoriya, do you think this was caused by One For All? I need to know." All Might persisted with his questioning.

"One For All… Right. My name is Izuku Midoriya and," he looked straight at All Might as he spoke, his hand clutched tightly in front of him. "I am the tenth inheritor of One For All." All Might raised an eyebrow.

"Tenth? Did you miscount? You're the ninth." Izuku felt something. He felt as if that was the wrong answer. Why was it wrong? What was his body telling him? He spoke before he could really think.

"No. I'm the tenth. Nine is… nine was…" Izuku hesitated. He knew it was wrong, he knew he was right, yet he couldn't get the answer from his head to his mouth. Was the answer even swimming within his information pool at this point? "I'm the… ninth?" He could feel it. It wasn't his body telling him he was wrong, it was One For All itself. Its warm presence was just under his skin. He could feel his quirk! It was his very own quirk.

What was with this optimism and hope? Was it like this last time? What last time was he thinking of?

"Midoriya, perhaps I should have you take the recommendation exam instead. I believe One For All has had a profound impact on you and I would like to postpone your usage of it until I can get a handle of what's going on." A new conviction flooded his words.

"No!" Izuku startled himself with this confidence. "I need to take the normal exam! I have to prove my worth to everyone there!"

"Are you sure you can do it? You seem.. off, to say the least." Izuku just nodded. He had to do it on his own.

Why did he have to do it though? Izuku tried to make the gears in his head turn, but nothing new flowed from his brain. What was he even remembering? What did he know?

"I will be on my way then Young Midoriya. I trust you. I also trust you can make it to U.A on time." Midoriya's ears twitched at the mention of U.A. That was a familiar place. Maybe he could get his bearings there.

"Of course I can make it to U.A. Alone. That's... That was never an issue." All Might has his worries, but he'd save them for when he spectated the entrance exam. Maybe Midoriya was having a hard time adjusting to One For All. That was something he couldn't help with, however, so he had to let the boy run free with his new power.

"Then I'll be off. Get some rest Young Midoriya!" All Might walked away, towards his small truck on the side of the road. Izuku watched as the hero deflated before entering his car. He already knew this was Toshinori Yagi's true form, yet he couldn't help but feel nostalgic about it. He watched the truck leave and then he was left alone with his swirling thoughts. Idly, he started walking towards the one place he could locate with his mess of thoughts.

-{ ~ }-

The gates of U.A were different. He couldn't pinpoint the difference, but he knew it was different. They felt more open to the world, less like the stronghold he...

Izuku paused at the thought. Was it a fantasy or a memory? There was something clearly wrong with what he could remember and what he knew but it only bothered him when he really thought about it. It was a glaring problem, but every time he delved into it, One For All flooded his senses, keeping him at ease. It almost felt sentient, but just like the other things, he didn't think about it. He was just glad it was there for him.

"Outta my way, you shitty Deku!" The voice scratched at his ears and made his heart jolt. Turning around, he found the familiar face of Katsuki Bakugo, a scowl plastered on his face, seemingly permanent . "If you make me say it again, I'll blow you the fuck up with the rest of the extras around us, you got it?!" The ashen blonde gave no time for Izuku to react as he shoved past the teenager.

"Ka... Katsuki..." That wasn't right. Both he and Katsuki knew. The blonde's head swiveled around to look at Izuku. It was a look of shock he honestly hadn't seen before. If only he knew how he himself looked.

"The fuck did ya just call me?!" Katsuki stomped his way back towards Izuku as he racked his brain for a response. He felt like he should've panicked more, but something held him back and made him stand his ground. Katsuki was just a step away from the Izuku as he shoved his hand towards his face.

"Ka... Kacchan! Yea. Kacchan, that was it." Katsuki kept the staredown going. He growled as he drew his hand back.
"Don't try to act off around me Deku. You don't get to call me by my name. You're lucky we're at U.A and I gotta save my awesome power for the test!" With that, Katsuki spun back around and stomped towards the building. In the back of his mind however, he couldn't get over that lost look on Izuku's face. 'What the fuck has he been doing these last few months?'

Izuku stood there, as confused as he now seemingly always is. Walking forward, he thought about what compelled him to call his teacher by his name. Another pause in his mind broke that thought train. When was he ever a teacher, they're the same age. Why did he think of him like a teacher? Was there ever a time their dynamic was like that? As much as he could, he tried to reach those feelings buried in his memory, but tripped over a rock in the pathway before he could. As he fell, he felt a strong sense of embarrassment. Why didn't he react to that rock?

"Hey are you okay?" A soft voice broke him out of his stupor. Izuku could see and feel that he was no longer falling and was now in fact, floating above the rock he just tripped over. "Sorry about using my quirk on you, but I thought it'd be bad luck to trip right before the exam!" Now upside down, Izuku got a good look at the girl in front of him. Her brown bob cut, her soft cheeks adorned with a permanent rosy blush and her brown eyes, it was all so comforting. It made him blush at the familiar thought, though he didn't dare try to explore the implications. Instead, Izuku reached towards the ground and spun himself upright, using the cause of his fall as a foothold. "Ah! You got yourself back up pretty quick. Release." She tapped her fingers together, pink finger pads connecting with each other as he felt gravity hold him down once more.

"Gravity manipulation... that's pretty cool." He muttered. It seemed impossible, but the brown haired girl blushed a little more.

"O-oh thank you! I don't think it's that cool but... Well uh, my names Ochako Uraraka. Nice to meet ya! Good luck on your exams!" She dashed inside, a bit flustered from having someone praise her quirk like that so casually. Just like everything else, she was a familiar face, but the memories were different.

-{ ~ }-

Sitting down in the auditorium, Izuku felt another emotion other than confusion for the first time that day.

Anxiety. And a whole lot of it too.

It was his body's natural reaction to a big test like this after all. The written portions were extremely easy. Even with all of the curve balls being thrown at him today, the questions in the pamphlet were straight forward and weren't there to send him down the rabbit hole of confusion.

Izuku took his seat, giving a side glance towards Katsuki, who refused to meet his eyes, choosing to huff to the side. Izuku just looked back down towards the center of the podium, as a blonde man with a large tuft of spiky hair going a comical distance away from his body started to speak to the audience. Izuku kept an ear out for info on the practical, but kept trying to sort through information presented to him on his card. It felt like a routine, but the silhouettes shown in the paper were, again, familiar. Especially the large one.

"Tch. So they kept us separated from anyone we went to school with. Go figure. Weed out all the extras that try to team up." Izuku gave a slow nod to Bakugo, who was peering over his shoulder to look at his card. Sure enough, Izuku was in Arena C, while Bakugo was in Arena A.

"Excuse me, Present Mic sir! There is an error with the information given to us exam takers! There is a 4th robot here that you did not discuss! This is a grievous error that U.A should not overlook!" Another examinee had shot up from his seat to make this proclamation. Turning his head towards Izuku, he saw his square glasses shimmer under the light fixture above it. It highlighted the tips of blue hair that fell around his face. "And you, boy with the spikey hair! Stop trying to interfere with other examinees!" Well if you had to dig your own grave, that was a surefire way to do it.

"The fuck did you say to me you uptight bastard?!" Bakugo started to cup his hands before Present Mic shut both of them up with a quick yell. Sparks threatened to jump from his palms, but Katsuki would rather not be on the wrong end of that voice quirk.

"Well, we sure are a lively bunch!. As for that 4th robot. it's worth nothing! Think of it like an obstacle. Too large to take down, with no value in destroying it. Now that that's out of the way. Remember to stay safe out there. You will receive medical attention if you need any. Most of all, remember to go-"

"PLUS ULTRA!" The audience finally cheered when Present Mic wanted them to.

-{ ~ }-

The gates to the faux city were intimidating. Familiarly intimidating.

Just how many times was he going to recognize everything.

It had only occurred to him that he hadn't spoken much, other than with Yagi in the morning, and the brief exchange with Katsuki and Ochako. Usually, he'd be muttering about all of the amazing quirks around him, but right now he was stoic and lost. Glancing to his left he saw Uraraka doing some stretches. Her hands were shaky and she looked queasy. He wondered if he could ease her stress a little. Before he could reach her however, a large hand grabbed him by the shoulder.

"I hope you weren't planning to interrupt that person before the test. Meddling with others is quite the offense." It was the blue haired boy from the auditorium. Izuku gave him a once over, noticing the exhaust pipes coming from his calves.

"Iida..." Izuku muttered. If there was any shock, the engine quirk user hid it well and simply smirked at his assessment.

"I'll admit, it's nice to be recognized, but regardless, don't interfere with the other examinees." Iida removed his hand from Izuku's shoulder but kept his gaze steady. "I would like to ask, how much do you know-"

"START!"

There was a click in his head. He dashed between the people that were standing around and broke out of the crowd, the first of the pack leading into the mock city. Some others got the message and stumbled out of the crowd.

"WELL WHAT ARE YA WAITIN FOR? THERE'S NO COUNTDOWNS IN REAL LIFE. GO! GO!" The pack was on his heels after this. Izuku watched Iida dash past everyone, the smell of exhaust fumes trailing him as he engaged the robots. He decided to break off from the main street and took a turn down a shopping district. There, he spotted a couple of one pointers.

How was he going to beat them? Just punch them with One For All of course. Yet he couldn't. The once natural instinct to call upon the quirk was gone. A moment of clarity struck Izuku. When was it natural? What was he doing? How would he pass the test without One For All?! For the first time that day after receiving One For All, Izuku felt like himself. It was hopeless to pass such a quirk focused test. He'd lose, right here, and be denied his dream of being a hero. And yet...

He moved forward. It was as if someone else was in control of his actions at this point. He grabbed a metal pipe from a shopping stand next to him. As the one pointer locked onto the running boy's form, it threw a relatively fast jab at him. He jumped over it, naturally, and pierced the robot's eye with the metal pipe. "A point..." he muttered. "I got a point." The robot fell with a clang as the other one quickly advanced on his fallen brethren's metal corpse. Izuku sidestepped another jab and swung the pipe with a level of ferocity he hadn't known prior. The robot's head was caved in from the side as it shut down and stayed upright on its treads.

It was exhilarating. Rushing out of the district, pipe in hand, Izuku spotted a green haired girl in an equally green tracksuit, much like how he tried to match greens that day. She was fighting a two pointer with her lengthy tongue, but failed to notice the one pointer about to hit her from behind. He made a mad dash for the girl and in the blink of an eye, completely batted the robots head off of its connecting joint. She had just destroyed the two pointer when she heard the commotion behind her. Her eyes widened before she realized what had happened.

"Thanks for the save, kero." She ribbited. It was quite endearing. Before he could say anything about it, she leapt off on her legs and started to climb the walls of a building next to them. Again, a familiar sight, but one he had no time to dwell on.

The first challenge presented itself. A three pointer.

The second challenge? There were two more.

Izuku had no time to waste. Rushing headlong into the fray of battle, he dodged the rubber balls the three pointers shot at him. Fluidly, he jammed the pipe into the neck of the closest three pointer and used it to lever himself upwards. The sudden change in verticality allowed him to dodge a punch from the second two pointer, who accidentally crushed the treads of its three pointer comrade. Izuku landed on the outstretched arm and took a few steps towards the head of drone. The pipe swung and landed dead center in its robotic eye, instantly shutting it down. Another instinctual dodge saw him narrowly miss the rubber bullet aimed for his torso. He responded in kind, by launching his pipe like a javelin at the last three pointer. He felt out of breath after this. Why? Wasn't his training harder than this? A new memory surfaced, but faded as quickly as it came, leaving him no time to take in its details.

The ground quaked. Izuku fell off of his three pointer platform as he gazed into the city. He saw the head of a robot peaking out above the buildings ahead of him. He heard the sound of running and shouting as examinees flooded towards the central gate. Izuku would have done the same had he not heard the faint cry.

"Help..."

It was so silent, but someone needed to be saved.

Instantly, he ran, faster than he normally could, towards the behemoth zero pointer. He spotted a massive pile of rubble to his left, also noting the pale arm sticking out from beneath it. He grabbed the rebar and started lifting. He could see it was Uraraka stuck under the debris.

"Can you get up?!"

"N-no! My ankle- gah! It's broken I- I think!" Desperately, she crawled her way out of the rubble, managing to drag her busted ankle out of more harm's way. Izuku saw she was free and dropped the concrete slab from his clutches. It shattered as it hit the floor.

"Above you! Look out!" Izuku whipped his head around to see a massive metal foot approaching his location. He needed to run fast.

That's when he felt it.

One For All coursed through his body, a green aura shimmered around his body. Wisps of mint green light danced around his aura and his eyes started shining. The power compelled him.

In an instant, the green aura started to become erratic becoming less soft. The light around it began to crackle like lightning as it transitioned from green to red. The sleeve of his tracksuit burst apart as his clenched right fist started to push forward. When had he thrown a punch?

Fist met metal, and the whole city watched as the zero pointer was destroyed in its entirety from a quick impact at the foot.

The body, at least what was left of it, toppled backwards into its previous trail of destruction. No one could move as they watched the titanic robot fall. Instantly, all eyes fell on Izuku as he stood there, gazes wandering to his arm. It was a purple and twisted mess. Was that the price of power like that?

Izuku paid his arm no mind, instead focusing on the girl sitting on the floor. "You okay? Can you get up without your ankle?"

Uraraka stared at him, dumbfounded. "Can I- CAN YOU EVEN SEE YOUR ARM?!" Her voice was shrill with fear and awe. Being up close to a mangled arm like this was doing wonders for her nausea. She watched Izuku give his arm a passing glance and shrug with his good side.

"That's- ah. Normal, I suppose." It certainly felt normal. Nothing was odd about it, but his body was reacting a little differently. The blood loss started to make his head spin as he started to fall forward. As he started slipping into unconsciousness, he faintly heard the alarm of the test, signaling its end.

He briefly wondered about his performance.

-{ ~ }-

It was dark. Immensely so. It swirled around him and made his eyes hurt. Where was he?

A bright flash caught his gaze. A pure white ball, shining in front of him. He was compelled to reach for it. When he thought his hand brushed the light, he found nothing there, but felt it make contact all the same. It was a flood of emotion. He felt everything, new and old. He saw things he had never lived through. His vision was assaulted by memories of...

'Another life?'

"Realize, remember who I was. I will disappear soon."

The visions stopped. The darkness returned, but the ball of light was still there. It shimmered once more before breaking apart. Color spilled forward. Red, blue, purple, green, gold, yellow, pink and gray burst into his vision. It all faded away as he came to in the real world.

-{ ~ }-

He jolted awake, nearly giving the person looking him over a heart attack. He couldn't register their existence, however. He was too focused on what just happened. It was traumatic what he had glimpsed into. The swell of anger that was pumping in his blood was overwhelming and he nearly broke down right there.

"Are you listening to me Mr. Midoriya?" Right. He was in a medical wing. He shattered his arm. Looking over at the supposedly broken appendage, he was surprised to find it pale instead of sickeningly purple. Testing the waters, he raised his forearm to minimal discomfort. "Looks like you're finally, truly, awake. I healed your arm and had to perform small surgery on you while you were unconscious." Finally acknowledging the doctor in the room, he settled his eyes on a short woman in a white coat and a syringe styled cane. Her gray hair was done up in a netted bun with an equally matching syringe styled hair pin.

"T-thank you."

"You know, your use of One For All is terrible. Don't emulate Toshinori. His body could handle all of One For All right off the bat, but yours can't." Izuku's head started to spin. Seeing his panic, the doctor continued. "Don't worry. Obviously I know about One For All or I wouldn't be talking to you about it."

"But... who are you?" Finally, a person he didn't recognize that day. It was a relieving feeling to not know something when he felt he should know everything.

"Well my hero name is Recovery Girl, but I haven't worked active duty for many years. So I'm mostly just U.A's resident nurse, Chiyo Shuzenji." The hero reached for something on her desk and walked back towards Izuku. "Take this candy, it will help speed up your recovery. And please don't make a habit of breaking yourself with One For All. Toshinori is a terrible teacher, so you'll have to discover this on your own." Izuku just nodded.

The walk home was more exhausting than he thought. He seemingly forgot where he had lived and it scared him, but he had the smarts to check his phone and sifted through the saved addresses on his map app.

Back to his main dilemma, however. This unending case of amnesia and foreign memories. The words of his dream, the memories he had at some point and the new instincts that were hard wired into his body that he had never developed before. He felt himself double checking every corner for safety and gazing over his shoulder for possible assailants waiting in the shadows. These weren't his habits, they were strange and anxiety ridden, much more than his usual self.

'I will disappear soon.' What could that have possibly meant. Maybe he could sleep again and discover the answers there.

He sighed as he crossed into his house. It was familiar. There was no doubt and no pang of nostalgia. It was just warm.

"Izuku honey, is that you?" Then a torrent of rage and pain flooded his body and heart. From the kitchen, his mother stepped forward but when he laid eyes on her, the rage had subsided substantially.

"Hi mom. I was in the doctor's office because I umm... broke my arm..." His words teetered at the end. The pain was still evident but was replaced with satisfaction and joy. But that was quickly turned on its head when he was put in a headlock by his mother.

"Don't scare me like that Izuku!" She was drenching the ceiling with a jet of tears coming from her eyes. "I know that if you become a hero, this is to be expected, but you're not a hero yet. You're still my baby boy!" More tears flowed as Izuku melted into her embrace. It was a deep longing he felt in his body. To be held by his mother again.

"Embarrassing Izu-nee again mom? I can take some new pictures if you'd like!" From the hallway, a head popped around the corner, long curly green hair surrounding the face of a girl, who had freckles on her cheeks, arranged nearly identically to his own. "And what's with you Zu-nee?! You didn't come back after your morning training to take me to the entrance exam. You're so lucky mom got up to do it for you or I'd be throwing you into orbit!" As she approached the mother-son duo, Izuku couldn't help the confusion plastered on his face. A sister? Some part of him agreed naturally that yes, he had a sister. The other part was adamant that this was a new factor in his life.

"W-who... Um. Yea. Sorry about... that. I've just been so... out of it today." His sister, Izumi, looked satisfied with that answer. She huffed a little as she turned back towards what he could only assume was her room.

"Right and I made a new friend today after the exams. Hey Mina-chan, meet my brother." Faster than anyone had anticipated, a pink blur appeared in the hallway. A set of yellow horns protruded from this new girls equally pink hair. Izuku took a look into her black sclera and amber eyes and was relieved when he saw a new face. Though his surprise didn't last as long as hers.

"Oh my God! You didn't tell me your brother was the guy that destroyed the zero pointer!" Izuku felt a blush adorn his cheeks from the praise. An emotion shared with his new other half, while Izumi had an astonished look on her face. Freeing himself from his mother's headlock, Izuku walked over to the girl, Mina, and put his hand out.

"So ah... you saw that huh? My name's Izuku Midoriya." Izumi, from the side, eyed this interaction with interest. When had her brother become so calm?

"How could anyone not see it?! You blew up a mega robot like pwoosh and bwoom!" The two teens laughed at the sounds she made with her mouth. Grasping his hand in both of hers, she grinned happily and shook with fervor. "Name's Mina Ashido, but you can call me Mina cus me and your sister are like super best friends now! Also, I saw why you did it too. Helping that girl from the rubble, super heroic, manly even!" Izuku smiled brighter. Being recognized for heroics wasn't what heroics was about, it was about doing the right thing and making sure people were happy, but praise behind closed doors was always nice.

-{ ~ }-

Mina had left some time ago. The three teens had a nice conversation about the exams while Mina prodded Izuku about his injury. He had to assure her constantly that he was fine but she was pretty relentless with her teasing. Or maybe it was flirting?

Izuku shook his head. Those thoughts weren't him. As if sensing his feelings, he heard his sister's voice from the bunk above,

"Izu... you were very different today. What's up with you?" He watched as a hand slipped below the mattress above him. Instinctively, Izuku grabbed her hand with his own. it was a bonding act he was familiar with. One he was, not the other part. Though that part of him was curious.

"I just... how much do you know about my quirk?" Izuku had a goal in mind.

"You just said it was so strong that it didn't manifest until you started training. Why?"

"That's a lie." Instantly, he felt his sister's hand go rigid in his own. He swirled a thumb around the top of her hand in an attempt to soothe her. "What I'm about to tell you is something top secret, ok Mi?" He didn't need to see her to know that she had nodded her head in agreement. "My quirk was given to me by... All Might." He hesitated to say the name. It was wrong in some way, he knew it was the foreign memories interfering with his speech, but it was true enough now. The memories came with the transfer of One For All, so he kept going. "It's a quirk that's been passed down for decades, going from one hero to another. It's a stockpiling quirk. Now I have the stockpiled potential of... eight other heroes, including All Might. That's not everything though." Now came the hard part, to relinquish the secrecy on his new emotions, he knew no one better to trust than his sister. It was a gut emotion.

"Wow talk about blowing my mind. Not even my Psychokinesis can do that yet." She laughed wearily, trying to calm herself down in the wake of this Earth shattering news. Her brother is the star pupil of All Might himself. The man whos face was plastered on every part of the room that surrounded them.

"When All Might gave me One For All, something happened. I saw these visions of someone else. It was like I was watching someone else's life through their eyes. I haven't been able to describe any of these visions though. But the entire day, I'd meet people, new or old, and feel a whole different set of emotions about them. After I beat the zero pointer, I knocked out and had a strange dream. There was a ball of light and a voice that said 'Realize, remember who I was. I will disappear soon.'" He paused after the explanation, hoping his sister might have some input.

"Maybe... you said the power of One For All comes from stockpiling right?" Izuku hummed in agreement. "Well maybe it stockpiled those other heroes memories. maybe it stockpiled more, who knows." Izuku blinked.

"I think that ball of light I saw in my dream was One For All. And I think you're right, about the stockpiling. I'm sorry for acting so weird, I'll try to act more... normal I guess. But these emotions are rooted in my brain now. I changed seemingly overnight and that scares me, Izumi." He felt her grip his hand with a little more pressure.

"You're still my dorky brother anyways. I don't care how much you change, you're still a hero at heart." He smiled as their hands came apart. Sleep had eluded him for too long at this point. Both of them needed to sleep on this information and work through it in the morning.

'You're still a hero at heart.'

As he drifted into the world of dreams, a memory finally made itself clear.

Ending on a cliffhanger of a story I might or might not touch again knowing my bad writing habits? Perfect. That's very me.

I had another story in mind before writing this one. A whole three part story actually. But building that world from the ground up with a cast of OCs probably would've gone over as well as sandpaper over paint.

So instead, I wrote the sequel first. If I ever do finish the story, God knows that's a monumental task, then I'll write the origins. Do try to figure out what is going on, I'll leave a hint and say there's a big break coming when the USJ hits.

I definitely want to work on chapter two right after this. I've got nothing better to do.
