Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or Oshi no Ko. Naruto is owned by Masashi Kishimoto, while Fate/Stay Night is owned by Kinoko Nasu respectively.
Certain elements of this story were inspired by Hadestown (Anais Mitchell). I loved that musical so much, I decided to turn it into a book.

~ CHAPTER START ~
Third Point of View
The seven-year-old girl looked at the dark alley. Reaching out for her mother's hand, she kept her gaze fixed on the alley.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" Igraine, the mother of Arturia, asked as she leaned in.
"What's in that alley, Mother?" Arturia asked. Igraine looked at the alley as well.
"Remember the story of Orpheus and Eurydice that I told you?" Igraine asked.
Arturia nodded.
"That is the way of the Hadestown, sweetie." Arturia's eyes glittered in excitement.
"It's real?!"
"Hmm," she said, "it's just a rumor. Several knights went to that alley, but none of them came back. They assumed that Hadestown was real." Igraine explained. She noticed the sudden change in her daughter's expression.
She carried Arturia in her arms; she said, "I see you are fond of the love story."
"It's the best! But it's also sad."
Arturia has always been a fan of Eurydice and Orpheus's love story. Ever since her mother told her about it, she couldn't help but feel excited. She loved it!
"It's sad that Eurydice went to Hadestown. After that Orpheus looked back to check on Eurydice. It's sad that it's not a happy ending but a tragic one."
"But at least they proved the world that they loved each other, right?" Igraine said as she walked with Arturia in her arms. They had reached the garden.
"Yup!"
"Greetings, your Majesty and your Highness." A knight approached them and bowed.
"What is it?"
"His Majesty is looking for you, Your Highness," the knight said. Igraine looked at Arturia and put her down.
"Mother is going to see Father, alright?"
Arturia nodded vigorously.
"Do you want to come?"
Arturia shook her head, "Ria wants to stay here."
"Alright, then," she said, kissing her forehead.
Arturia watched her mother's retreating figure. She was left alone in the garden. Not that she minds, so it's fine.
She looked around the garden until she spotted a beautiful flower. Quickly kneeling down, she examined it closely.
"...It's Middlemist's red camellia?" She whispered. It is one of the rarest flowers. She didn't know that a flower like this will grow in their garden.
"I must give one to my mother." She excitedly said. It was really beautiful flower. No wonder, it's is truely rare in their country. To see a flower like this? it's an honor.
"Hiii!"
She jolted in surprise when she heard a voice filled with enthusiasm. She looked at where the voice came from and saw a boy around her age, smiling brightly at her, peeking behind the fence.
"Who are you?" She moved back. Based on the kid's appearance, he's a commoner.
"I'm Naruto!"
"And so?"
The kid named Naruto looked at her in confusion. She just asked who was he and the way she responded is rude.
"You're mean." Naruto pouted.
"Argh, not with that pout." Arturia complained.
"Are you a princess?" Naruto asked. Standing tall with pride, Arturia answered, "Yes."
"Yes, I am."
"Why?"
"What do you mean 'why'?" Arturia asked. Naruto shrugged her off.
Naruto noticed the flower she was holding. "What a pretty flower!"
Arturia hid it behind her back, causing Naruto's smile to falter. Naruto pouted again. "Can I have that flower?"
"Why?"
"I was looking for a really pretty flower because my mother's birthday is today. I wanted to give her something special; I thought a flower would be perfect – it's her favorite."
"What if I say no?"
"I'm sure you wouldn't." Naruto said. "You won't resist someone as handsome as me."
Arturia raised her eyebrows and turned her back on him. "I'm leaving," she said.
When Naruto saw Arturia walking, he panicked. "Wait! Wait! I'm kidding, please! I really really want that flower!"
Arturia stopped in her tracks and looked back. "Make a deal, then."
"What deal? I don't have something to offer." Naruto mumbled. Why would a Princess wants something from him? He's just a commoner who happens to want a flower from the Garden of the Palace. That also happens to meet the Second Princess.
"Y-you don't have to serve me!" Arturia shoved the flower in front of him. Naruto smiled in delight. He can give his mother a pretty flower. A pretty flower that she deserved.
"Thank you! But are you sure?" Naruto asked, making sure that it's alright with the princess.
"Yes." She nodded. She finally calmed herself down.
"Thank you, Princess."
"You're welcome."
"You're nice," he said, looking at her with full admiration.
"Earlier you called me mean."
"I take that back. You're nice and really really pretty." Naruto said. Arturia felt her confidence return. She stood with full of pride once more.
"I heard that inside the palace a lot."
Naruto nodded, "Because it's the truth."
"I took this flower for my mother because it's pretty."
Naruto looked at the flower and then turned his gaze back on Arturia. His smile widened, making her stare at him in confusion.
"You're pretty, too. Can I take you home with me?"'
"For your mother?"
"No," said Naruto, shaking his head.
"For myself."
Once again, Arturia felt herself blush. She was stunned by Naruto's words. They struck through her heart.
"I'll go home now, Princess. I'll come back again tomorrow," he said and smiled at her. He started walking away with a flower in his hand.
Naruto looked back at Arturia and waved his hand. Arturia reluctantly did the same, causing Naruto to smile.
'See you' Arturia said in her mind.
'I didn't know that the Princess is so adorable.' Naruto went back home, presenting the flower. Kushina widen her eyes in horror and started questioning. Like, how the hell her son got this rare flower.
What made her want to collapse is where it came from, "I got it from the Garden of the Palace." Naruto proudly told Kushina, not knowing that his mother might get a heart attack.
"Are you done, Sweetie?" Queen Igraine asked when she noticed her daughter. They were eating lunch together, just the two of them since her father and her sister are busy.
Arturia nodded, "Yes, Mother. May I excuse myself now?"
"Ara~ Do you have something to do?"
"I have an important meeting." Arturia said while smiling.
"Is this about the boy you were talking about?" Igraine asked with a teasing tone. Arturia blushed at her mother's question. She found it adorable to see her daughter blush. She couldn't help but to tease her.
"Alright, then. You should go. He might leave."
Arturia nodded. Before leaving, she didn't forget kissing her mother's cheek.
'Guess I'll check them later,' Igraine thought to herself and continued eating.
Arturia hurriedly went to the garden. She wasn't particularly excited, not at all. She had been thinking about him since last night. She didn't have that many friends because of her status. The only friends she had were the daughter of the Tohsaka household and the Matou household. Excluding her relatives, of course.
"Hi, Princess!" Naruto smiled widely once he spotted the Princess. He waved his hand excitedly. "You're pretty as ever, Princess."
"O-of course." Arturia stuttered, "Why are you here, by the way?"
"I wanted to know you better," Naruto confidently said. "Didn't I tell you that I would be here yesterday?"
"You did."
"And you're here! You didn't avoid me, a commoner like me."
Arturia glared at him, "Hey! Don't say that!"
"But I'm a commoner," he pouted.
"It's not that bad being a commoner, you know. I think that you have the freedom you want. We don't have that here. We always need to follow this and that. And also learn this and that." Arturia ranted.
"Seems like the Princess is tired of it." Naruto chuckled.
"I'm sick of it."
"There's a disavantages and advantages of being a Royalty and Commoner, don't you think?"
Arturia nodded, "Yeah, I think so."
Naruto noticed a lady behind her. His eyes widen in realization when he realized who is it.
"Your Majesty," Naruto bowed, which caused Arturia to look behind her.
"Mother?"
Queen Igraine smiled but for Arturia, she view this as a teasing one. "Hello, Sweetie. Care to introduce me to your new friend?"
"Uhmm," She looked back to Naruto and went back to her Mother. "This is Naruto, Mother."
"Naruto Namikaze, your majesty," he introduced himself.
Queen Igraine nodded. "I hope my daughter made a good impression on you."
"Yes, she did, Your Majesty," said Naruto, smiling. "She accepted my request and she's really pretty."
Queen Igraine nodded in satisfaction. Meanwhile, Arturia blushed.
"Also, her name is like a melody." Naruto sang out.
"That's from Orpheus, right?" Queen Igraine asked as she noticed it. Naruto gladly nodded.
He said, "I love their love story, Your Majesty."
Queen Igraine smiled at Arturia. "My daughter loves it, too," she said. "I think the two of you would be good friends."
Queen Igraine gestured her knight to move forward. "Let this kid inside the palace. He can come in and out whenever he wants. Tell that to the guards at the front gate."
"Y-your Majesty?" Naruto stuttered.
"Mother?"
Queen Igraine smiled, "I don't want my daughter to feel lonely all the time when we are busy." She patted Arturia's head and looked at Naruto.
"You may be a stranger to us, but I can tell that you're a good person, Naruto. I can trust you. Take care of my Ria, okay?"
Naruto smiled and happily nodded, willing to accept her request. "Yes, Your Majesty."
"Come inside now."
The Knight was ordered to fetch Naruto and send him to the Garden. They entered through the main entrance of the Palace because the Garden doesn't have an entrance. Naruto couldn't believe what had happened. He was excited to tell his mother, Kushina, that the Queen had allowed him to enter the Palace anytime he wanted.
He won't let the Queen down!
"Princess!", he happily greeted Arturia. Queen Igraine was nowhere to be found, but he guessed that she might be busy, so he left her alone.
"Shh! It's too noisy, Naruto." Arturia complained.
"Sorryyy~ But Her Majesty is so kind and allowed me to be your friend."
"So uhm, you like Orpheus and Eurydice too?"
Naruto nodded, "Yes I do. My mom always tell me that story. Even though Eurydice went to Hadestown and Orpheus looked back to check on Eurydice, it's still the best."
"Do you think that tale is true?"
"Hmm, I don't know. It feels true, but at the same time, it's not. I mean, I do believe what I see and experience." Naruto answered her question.
"Wiil they be able to continue their love story?"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders and said, "Maybe, maybe in another life."
"I like the part where Orpheus asked Eurydice to come home with him. It was so romantic." Arturia dreamed. They sat in the ground, admiring the view. "He sang her a song and wrote her some poems. He was brave to raised his voice to the King of the Underworld."
"That one is my favorite part. He made them feel love through his music again," Naruto said. "It was a beautiful story. Not all love stories will end in a happy ending."
"True, you know what?"
"What?"
"I like you already. We have the same taste."
Naruto chuckled. "You might want to marry me someday, Princess. Though, I'm not complaining."
"Haha, no we're friends for now."
"For now?...well, I'm looking forward to our future, Princess." Naruto grinned, making Arturia rolled her eyes.
"You can stop calling me Princess. We're friends now." Arturia declared. She doesn't really mind if Naruto starts calling her Arturia. Her friends don't call her Princess, it's Ria or her real name, Arturia.
Naruto made a small gasp. "Are you sure? Won't I get executed if I stop calling you 'Princess'?"
"No, you won't"
"Are you really really sure?"
"Hundred percent"
"When that day comes, I won't call you 'Princess' anymore," Naruto said. Arturia looked at him in confusion.
"That day?"
"Yep, that day."
"What do you mean by that?" Arturia asked.
"I'll tell you someday."
"Come on, tell me now."
"Nope~"
The day ended with Arturia asking Naruto, but he didn't give her the answer she wanted. Naruto left the palace and went home to his mother, excitedly telling her what had happened. Even Kushina couldn't believe it; the Queen had given permission for her son to enter the Palace?
"Listen, Naruto. You must not disappoint our Queen, alright?" Kushina said to him.
Naruto eagerly nodded.
"Mom, when I grow up, I want to be a knight," Naruto declared. Kushina knelt down to meet his eye level and patted his head gently.
"A knight, huh?"
"Yup, I want to protect the Princess!"
"The first?"
"The second." Naruto corrected. "And I'll make her my lover because I like the Princess so much."
"But we're friends for now. I'll take it slow. We got the time all we want. I'll use it to make her fall for me." He quickly added.
"You like the Princess that much?"
"Yes!"
"Alright, then I'll support you with that," said Kushina, smiling warmly. She saw how confident her son was and the burning passion in his eyes.
"You'll be the greatest knight and will make the Princess your lover." Kushina added.
Naruto quickly hugged Kushina and kissed her cheek.
"I will!"
Time Skip
Ever since that day, Naruto started going whenever he wanted inside the Palace to accompany the Princess. Sometimes they will have a tea, they will play, or whaever they want to do. But they are always eating in the garden.
Queen Igraine noticed the positive behavior of the Princess. She couldn't help but smile whenever she saw her daughter smiling. She's convinced that she made the right decision.
Naruto makes her daughter happy. The Princess don't feel lonely anymore.
When they reached ten, Naruto started training at the palace. Meanwhile, Arturia watched him from afar after finishing her own lessons. Eventually, Naruto spotted her and greeted her warmly and excitedly.
Through the years, Naruto fell for the Princess.
They're 16 now, Naruto is considered as the youngest knight. He already beat many knights and one of the best.
"Princess!" Naruto happily went towards the Princess. His face was covered in sweat from the massive training he had just completed. The Princess reached out for her handkerchief and wiped his sweat away.
"H-hey, I can do this, Princess."
"Stay still." With the order, Naruto obliged.
"How's the tea party with Lady Rin and Lady Sakura, Princess?" Naruto asked to avoid the awkward tension. Once Arturia was done with wiping his sweat, he moved away.
"They were so noisy. Let's say, chaotic party." Arturia sat on the available chair. "By the way, when are you going to stop calling me Princess?"
"Who knows?"
"Aish, you're just tripping."
Naruto laughed at her cute tantrums. Arturia really wanted him to stop calling her by her title.
Naruto pinched her cheek, "Your Highness is a cutie, isn't she?"
"Am not!"
"You are"
"I am not!" Arturia repeated. Naruto rolled his eyes.
"Everyone here in this palace will agree that you are a cute, Princess."
Naruto flicked Arturia's forehead. If someone witnessed it, they would think he was digging his own grave.
"Oww! How dare you disrespect me?" Arturia glared as she massaged her forehead. "And how dare you call me 'Princess' when I asked you not to?"
Naruto was about to answer when he was cut off by the General, "Hey, two lovebirds! Naruto, you need to practice now."
Naruto looked back to see General Lancelot, "Aye, sir!"
He started walking as his eyes went back to Arturia, "See you later, Lover!"
He gave her a wink, leaving Arturia in confusion. "Lover?"
She mumbled, "Naruto is being playful again." As she smiled.
