A/N: Hiya guys! So as promised this is the spin off to "Children of the Future", although I did change some things around and this series will now mostly focus on what happened after the children left instead of showing what happened during COTF, I also added Yamichar towards the end as well hehe. But I still hope you'll all enjoy~! I'm not sure how often this will be updated but I'm hoping for once a week or once every other week depending on my schedule!

Gauche sighed softly as he waited for Grey to appear in the common area. He wasn't going to admit it to anyone, but he was actually very nervous. He tried to plan everything down to the tiniest details, but of course knowing his luck, everything would go completely wrong. He quickly shook his head, he had to think positive right? That's what Marie told him to do when he told her about it the day before.

He took a deep breath to calm his nerves, it was just a simple date, they were going to go to a small and quiet restaurant that Finral suggested. They were going to have a meal and chat just like they usually did, so there really wasn't anything to be nervous about right?

" U-Um…I'm ready." Gauche turned around at the sound of the familiar voice, and his eyes widened and a small gasp escaped his lips at the sight before him.

Grey was standing there nervously in a light blue dress that ended right at her knees, she had simple heels on, and a white cardigan. Her short blue hair was partially styled in soft curls, she had light makeup on and earrings that matched her dress. She fidgeted nervously as Gauche continued to stare.

" S-Sorry Grey," He said quickly as he looked away. The two stood there awkwardly with their faces as red as tomatoes.

" Don't you have something you wanna say to her Gauche?" Yami asked as he walked past the two, he gave the browned haired man a knowing look.

" Right. You look…beautiful Grey, very beautiful." Gauche said as his face turned an even deeper red, and Grey's face did the same. Except a very small smile appeared on her face.

" T-Thank you, Vanessa helped me pick out the dress." Grey admitted shyly, and the two stood together awkwardly again.

" C'mon you two I'll drop you off at the restaurant." Finral said as he opened a portal, Gauche and Grey looked at him before nodding and following him through the portal.

Finral dropped the two off at the restaurant before leaving again. Gauche noticed that it looked a lot busier than he thought it was supposed to be, he sighed, of course it had to be busy when he and Grey went out on their date.

He glanced over at the blue haired woman and saw she had a nervous look in her eyes as people moved past her and crowded around the restaurant. He sighed in irritation as someone bumped into him, Gauche turned to shout at the person but stopped himself as he felt someone grab his arm.

Gauche turned and saw Grey clinging onto his arm with her eyes closed, he felt all of his anger and irritation melt away.

" C'mon let's get out of here." Gauche muttered as he quickly steered Grey out of the crowd.

As the two exited the crowd he felt Grey's body relax a bit. He was glad to see that she was calming down, and he mentally told himself he was never going to take Finral's advice again.

" Do you feel better now?" He asked quietly, and Grey opened her blue eyes slowly and looked around before nodding.

" I-I'm fine." She told him softly as she took a deep breath, and a small smile appeared on her face. " Thank you, f-for getting me out of there." She added and Gauche felt his cheeks turn a bright pink, he turned away and rubbed the back of his neck.

" No problem, I didn't like it much either." He muttered, and he then began to look around the area for somewhere more quiet.

Gauche's eyes scanned the stalls and restaurants as the two walked, they all seemed to be busy and packed with people. He sighed, of course he decided to take Grey out on a date when it was the busiest time of year! He began to mentally scold himself when he suddenly felt something pull on his arm.

" What about…that place?" She asked as she pulled on his arm again, Gauche followed her gaze and saw one little food stall with barely anyone there. Gauche tilted his head a bit, he was worried that there must be something wrong with the food or the owners since no one was there, but when he saw the somewhat excited look on Grey's face he sighed.

" It looks okay. So we can eat there if you want." Gauche told her, and he watched as a brighter smile appeared on the blue haired woman's face, and it caused him to smile as well.

The two walked towards the stall and chose what appeared to be the most popular item on the menu. Grey quietly thanked the owner as she and Gauche took their food and sat down at a nearby table. When the two bit into their food they looked at each other with wide eyes.

It was delicious!

They both began to quietly talk about how surprised they were that such an amazing place had very few people visiting, and as the two continued to talk their conversations began to drift to various different topics. Including their future children.

" How do you think A-Aloys and Maelie are doing? Do you think we were able to save their future?" She asked as she looked down at the table, Gauche made a small humming noise before shrugging.

" I dunno, but I'd like to think we did. If not, maybe we were able to make it just a little brighter and easier for them." Gauche said softly as he began to think about his future son and daughter. He knew in his gut that his relationship with Maelie would be the same as it always was, but he wondered what his relationship with Aloys would be like. Would it be the same as it was when he first arrived? Or would it be different now?

" I hope we saved them. They deserve it, after all those two have been through." Grey said softly as she looked up at him and Gauche nodded in agreement.

The air suddenly turned awkward again. The two had quietly liked each other for a while before their future children appeared, but now they both quietly questioned whether they were only going to get together because it was preordained by the universe or if it was because they actually liked each other and wanted to be together.

Gauche knew where he stood on the subject, he liked her well before their future kids showed up, and he had been debating on whether he should tell her that or not when they were on their way to meet Aloys for the first time. Even after their kids went back his feelings for Grey never changed, but he was hesitating to confess even more now than before.

" Gauche? Are you okay?" Grey asked, concern lacing her voice and shining in her eyes. Gauche was quickly pulled out of his thoughts and he rubbed the back of his head nervously.

" Let's go somewhere quieter, we need to talk about something." Gauche said as he quickly stood, grabbed her hand, and dragged her away from the stall.

The 'owner' of the stall quickly sighed in relief as he took off his wig and fake beard. He turned as a pink haired woman approached him with a chuckle.

" That worked out well didn't it?" Vanessa asked as she watched Finral slump forward. " Considering you nearly ruined their date by picking the busiest restaurant."

" Do you think this'll make Gauche forget how angry he is at me?" Finral asked with a bit of hope in his voice, and Vanessa smiled at him as she patted his shoulder.

" Not a chance."

As soon as those words left the pink haired witches mouth Finral slumped even more forward as he cried.

Gauche quickly led Grey away from the busy town and towards a quiet bridge that led to the other side. A beautiful stream flowed underneath it and reflected the moonlight perfectly, there were a few fireflies floating around and you could hear a few crickets chirping in the distance.

Gauche stopped as the two stood in the middle of the bridge, and Grey frowned a bit as he turned around and looked at her with a serious gaze.

" D-Did I say something wrong?" Grey asked nervously, she felt her heart begin to beat even more rapidly as Gauche placed his hands on her shoulders.

" Grey-." Gauche started softly, the woman quickly swallowed a lump in her throat as she noticed his eyes bounce around nervously. He took a deep breath before his brown eyes met her blue ones.

" I like you."

Gauche's heart stopped dead in its tracks for a second before beating rapidly again, he watched as Grey's face turned the brightest shade of red anyone had ever seen. She…liked him? Wasn't he supposed to be the one confessing tonight instead of her?

" I like you, and I've liked you for a while, long before Aloys and Maelie came into the picture. I…was too…scared to tell you before, because I didn't want you to feel pressured into dating me just because I said I liked you."

" But after all we've been through with Aloys and Maelie, and with all the time we've spent together recently, I'm more sure now than ever that I like you and want to be with you. I-If you'll have me that is." Grey muttered the last part more to herself than to him.

Gauche's eyes widened as he looked at how serious yet nervous Grey's face was. He could tell she meant every word she said, and he was pretty surprised that she confessed before he did.

The brown haired man smiled a bit as his hands moved from Grey's shoulders to wrap around her and he quickly pulled her into a hug.

" G-Gauche?!" Grey squeaked in surprise at the sudden hug, she hadn't been expecting that reaction out of him.

" I like you too. I don't feel pressured into dating you just because you confessed first, and I don't feel pressured into doing it because we have kids in the future either. I like you, and I was too scared to say it too."

Grey glanced over as Gauche rested his head on her shoulder and she saw a nervous yet relieved smile on his face. She could tell he was happy that he was finally able to tell her, because she felt the exact same way.

Gauche pulled away and looked at her for a moment, Grey watched as his face turned a light shade of pink as his eyes looked from hers to her lips and back again.

" Is it okay if I…kiss you?" He asked, his voice quiet and hesitant, and Grey felt her cheeks turn an even deeper shade of red then they had before.

She nodded slowly before closing her eyes. She heard Gauche give a small chuckle before he took a deep breath, Grey guessed to settle his nerves. She soon felt his lips gently press against hers in a gentle kiss.

It was a soft, gentle, and chaste kiss. But to Grey it felt electric, passionate, and romantic. It was a bit awkward at first for both of them, but they slowly found their rhythm right before pulling away for air.

The two pulled away and looked at each other for a moment before soft smiles appeared on their faces again. They walked off the bridge and went back to the Hideout, excited for the next step in their relationship.
