(Three months ago.)
Somewhere at an unknown location, a girl with blonde hair, wearing a white dress, white sun hat, and white, knee-high shoes, carrying a duffel bag is running from two people dressed in white uniforms. The girl reaches a triangular lift, and it goes up the next floor. The girl runs across a catwalk that's above what appears to be an indoor jungle while being pursued by two more people in white uniforms. She continues to run when her path was blocked by two strange people that appear to have light blue skin and wearing futuristic white and navy-blue outfits with eye visors. She turns to see the two people in white standing several feet from her. As she looks around, something inside the duffel bag she was carrying gives off a bright blue light, blinding the people who were after her. The girl was enveloped in a blue light, and she disappears into the night sky.
(Three months later.)
Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean in an airplane, Ed, Edd, and Eddy were fast asleep in their seats. Ed begins stirring and his eyes open. After rubbing his right eye, he lifts his arms up and stretches. The odor that came out of his armpits drifted to Edd and Eddy. The stench was enough to wake them up.
"Oh Lord! Is there a Stunky loose on the plane?!" asked Edd.
"Nah. I recognize that smell." said Eddy. Edd looks over to see Ed smiling.
"Morning, guys!" said Ed.
"Oh. Good morning, Ed." replied Edd.
"How close do you think we are to Alola?" asked Eddy. The voice of the airplane's pilot suddenly came over the intercom.
'Attention, passengers; this is your captain speaking. We will be arriving at our destination in about five minutes. Be sure to stay seated and make sure your seatbelts are buckled.' said the pilot.
"Well, I guess that answers that question." said Eddy.
"We're almost there, guys!" said Ed, excitedly as he buckles his seatbelt.
"Soon we'll start on our new Pokemon journey." said Edd, buckling up.
"I hope it's fun like our last one!" said Ed.
"I can't wait to hit the beaches and see the babes." said Eddy who was buckled up.
"I can't wait to get my new Pokemon!" said Ed.
"I as well, Ed." said Edd. Five minutes later, the plane lands at the Melemele International Airport. Soon, the boys exit the plane and enter a terminal. Once they did, they were greeted by hula girls who put leis around their necks and kissed each of them on the cheek, making them blush and smile goofily.
"I've only been here a minute and I already love Alola!" said Eddy.
"Indeed." said Edd as the blush on his face started to fade. After they got their backpacks and bags from the airport luggage conveyor belt, they leave the airport and step out to feel the warm sun on their faces.
"Ahhhh. Smell that tropical air, boys!" said Eddy. The Eds take deep breaths and release relaxed sighs. After travelling by airport shuttle, they soon stepped out and found themselves in a city. "So, Double-D; where are we supposed to go?" Edd takes out a complimentary map he got from a souvenir stand in the airport.
"Right now, we are in Hau'oli City. We're supposed to go to Iki Town which is a short walk east from here." said Edd.
"Great. Let's get going, boys!" said Eddy. As they walked to their destination, Edd looked at the tropical flowers and the beach that were in the city.
"Look at all these beautiful sights, gentlemen." said Edd.
"Oh, I'm seeing a beautiful sight all right." said Eddy. Edd looks to see that Eddy stopped walking and was looking at something with a big smile. He looks over to see where Eddy was looking to see two attractive girls in bikinis, walking by the ocean, laughing together.
"Oh my." said Edd, blushing. Ed, on the other hand was looking up at seagull-like Pokemon (Wingulls) flying over the ocean, then he looks down towards the ocean where he saw a blue, manta-like Pokemon (Mantyke) jumping out of the ocean and back into it, then he turns and looks across the street to see a woman, walking a white, doglike Pokemon with thick fur (Furfrou).
"Look at all the Pokemon, guys!" said Ed, excitedly. Edd looks at the Pokemon, then at the large travel bag Ed was carrying.
"Ed. What exactly did you pack in that bag?" asked Edd. Ed looks at the bag.
"I forget." said Ed. He then drops the bag to the ground.
"OW! ED, YOU BIG IDIOT!" yelled a voice from inside the bag.
"My bag is possessed!" yelled Ed. An excited look appeared in his face. "Ooh. Maybe by a ghost Pokemon!"
"Ed. Pokemon don't speak our language." said Edd. Eddy walked over to the bag.
"Wait a minute. I recognize that yelling anywhere." said Eddy. He unzips the bag and opens it up. Inside it was Sarah and Jimmy, wearing backpacks.
"Sarah? Jimmy?" said Ed. He lifts Sarah and Jimmy out of the bag with one hand each and sets them down on the sidewalk. He looks inside the bag to see a flashlight, a blanket, a book of fairy tales, empty sandwich bags with breadcrumbs in them, empty juice boxes, and an empty cookie box.
"What were you two doing in that bag?" asked Edd.
"We wanted to come with you on your Pokemon journey!" said Sarah.
"Why?" asked Eddy.
"After hearing about your adventures in the Sinnoh Region, we wanted to have a Pokemon journey also." said Jimmy.
"I'm pretty certain I know what you two want to do first." said Edd. He then looks at Ed. "Ed." Ed turns towards Edd who points at a Pokemon Center. "Take Sarah and Jimmy over to that Pokemon Center and lead them to the bathrooms." Sarah and Jimmy were both fidgeting.
"How did you know?" asked Sarah.
"We went through the same thing while we were on our way to the Sinnoh region." said Edd. While Ed was bringing Sarah and Jimmy to the Pokemon Center, Edd went to the nearest pay phone to call Sarah and Jimmy's parents. A few minutes later; Ed, Sarah and Jimmy came out of the Pokemon Center with Sarah and Jimmy having looks of relief on their faces.
"That's better." said Sarah.
"I really had to go." said Jimmy.
"We should've gone to the bathroom before getting into that bag." said Sarah. At that time, Edd was finishing talking to Jimmy's father over the phone.
"Yes, sir. We promise to look after your son." said Edd. Seconds later, he puts his free hand on his hip and frowns. "Sir, there is no need for that kind of language. Okay. Goodbye." Edd then hangs up the phone and looks over at Sarah and Jimmy. "I just finished telling your parents that you're both here. You know, they were really worried about you, and even called the police. But now that they know where you are, they said they'll tell the police to call off the search for you two. I also promised we'd look after you."
"You better, or you're gonna get it!" said Sarah.
"Whatever." said Eddy. "So can we get going now?" Edd looks to see Ed carrying a shopping bag with a pokeball on it.
"What's that, Ed?" asked Edd as he points at the bag.
"I bought ten pokeballs." replied Ed.
"Where did you buy those?" asked Edd. "Didn't you take Sarah and Jimmy to the Pokemon Center?"
"Yeah. There was a PokeMart inside." replied Ed. An astonished look appears on Edd's face.
"You mean the two most important places for Pokemon trainers are together in one building?" asked Edd.
"Yep." replied Ed.
"How convenient." said Edd. He then looks at Sarah and Jimmy and sees that their clothes had some juice stains, splotches of peanut butter and jelly, along with some cookie crumbs on them. Edd looks around and sees a clothing store.
"Perhaps we should get you two some clean clothes." said Edd. "Plus, I don't think the clothes you're wearing right now are fit for tropical climates, Jimmy." He turns towards Ed. "Ed. Will you take these two to that clothing store and buy some new clothes for them?" They look across a street and see what looked like a clothing store.
"Okay, Double-D." said Ed.
"And make it snappy! We've wasted enough time already!" exclaimed Eddy. Ed took Sarah and Jimmy by the hands and walked them across the street and into the clothing store. Edd turns to look at Eddy.
"Perhaps while they're clothes shopping, we should take the opportunity to buy pokeballs for ourselves, along with some Potions." suggested Edd.
"Good idea, Double-D." said Eddy. He and Edd went into the Pokemon Center to buy pokeballs. Twenty minutes later, Edd and Eddy come out of the Pokemon Center with shopping bags; just as Ed, Sarah, and Jimmy walked out of the clothing store. Jimmy was now wearing a blue tank top with gray capri pants, and his regular shoes, and Sarah was wearing a pink Alola shirt, white pleated shorts, and her regular shoes. "Got what you needed?"
"You bet your sweet bippy we did." said Ed.
"Some people inside the clothing store wanted Ed's autograph." replied Sarah. Eddy's eyes widen.
"Autograph?" asked Eddy.
"Yeah. A lot of people in there recognized him from that Lily of the Valley Conference you three competed in over a month ago." said Sarah. Just then, they hear fast-approaching footsteps. They look to see a lot of kids running towards them.
"See? I told you it was them!" said a boy.
"I can't believe they're here in person!" said a girl. Soon the Eds were surrounded by the kids who were holding magazines that had pictures of the Eds with their Sinnoh starter Pokemon at the Lily of the Valley Conference.
"Can we have your autographs?!" asked a girl.
"We're huge fans of yours!" said a boy.
"I loved your Infernape, Mr. Eddy!" said a younger boy. Eddy smiles at the attention he was recieving.
"Well, I guess we can take some time to do some autographs. We don't want to disappoint our adoring fans." said Eddy as he grabs a magazine from one of the kids, pulls a pen out of his pocket and starts signing it. They spent five minutes signing autographs and answering questions while Sarah and Jimmy watched with astonishment.
"Gee, Sarah. The Eds are famous here." said Jimmy.
"I'll say. While we were in that store, I saw t-shirts that had my brother and his friends on them." said Sarah.
"And I saw a boy carrying an action figure of your brother in there." said Jimmy. After another minute, the kids leave, but not before a teenage girl with long red hair, wearing a yellow one-piece swimsuit and sandals, hugs Eddy and kisses him on the cheek, making him blush and smile big. Meanwhile at that moment at the Lemon Brook Juvenille Detention Center; Lee Kanker, who was wearing orange coveralls, punches a brick wall so hard it leaves a few cracks in it. May and Marie Kanker, who were also wearing orange coveralls and lifting weights, stared at her with surprise.
"What's with you, Lee?" asked Marie.
"I don't know! I just had the sudden urge to punch something!" said Lee. "That man of mine better not be fooling around with another woman!"
"Whatever!" said Marie as she continued to do dumbbell curls. Back at Alola, the girl that kissed Eddy walked away, giving Eddy a wink as she does. After a minute, Eddy snaps out of his daze.
"I never want to leave this place!" said Eddy.
"Yes, well we be better get going." said Edd. The five start heading east towards Iki Town. As they did, Edd turned towards Sarah and Jimmy. "Oh. Do you two have someone looking after Happiny and Riolu while you're here?" Sarah and Jimmy each took a pokeball out of their backpacks that they brought with them.
"We brought them with us." said Sarah.
"We wanted them to make new Pokemon friends." said Jimmy.
"Why that's very considerate of you two." said Edd. Sarah smiles in response. "Perhaps you should let them out to enjoy this tropical air."
"That's a good idea." said Jimmy. He and Sarah let their Pokemon out of their pokeballs and they look around. They all then continued walking with Sarah carrying Happiny, and Riolu walking alongside Jimmy. After walking for a couple of minutes, they soon arrived at a small town that had small houses and what appeared to be a battle arena in the center of it. "Well, everyone. Here we are. Iki Town." As they looked around, they hear a voice calling out to them.
"Ed! Edd! Eddy!" The Eds, Sarah, and Jimmy turn towards where the voice was coming from to see a man with tan skin, wearing a white hat with a rainbow symbol on it, along with glasses, a white lab coat over gray baggy pants that have a green stripe circling the waist, and green shoes running over to them.
"Who might you be, sir?" asked Edd.
"My name is Professor Kukui. I'm the lead Pokemon researcher here in the Alola Region." said the man now known as Professor Kukui.
"How do you know about us?" asked Eddy.
"Kahuna Hala told me that you would be arriving here today." said Professor Kukui.
"Where is he?" asked Eddy.
"Well, he had some business to take care of somewhere." said Professor Kukui.
"Oh man." said Eddy.
"I want a Pokemon!" said Ed. Professor Kukui smiles and pulls three pokeballs out of his pocket.
"Don't worry, boys. That's why I'm here. Kahuna Hala asked me to bring you your starter Pokemon." said Professor Kukui. He then throws the pokeballs, releasing a black and red, cat-like Pokemon with red tufts of fur coming out from each of its cheeks; a beige, owl-like Pokemon with green leaves resembling a bow tie on its chest; and a blue, seal-like Pokemon with a light blue collar around its neck. Ed's eyes lit up with joy.
"Oh boy!" said Ed. Professor Kukui motions towards the cat-like Pokemon.
"This is Litten, a fire type Pokemon." said Professor Kukui. He then motions towards the owl-like Pokemon. "This is Rowlet, a combination of grass and flying type." Finally, he motions towards the seal-like Pokemon. "And finally, Popplio, a water type."
"Fascinating." said Edd.
"You boys may each pick a Pokemon." said Professor Kukui. Edd walks over to Popplio.
"I would like to have Popplio as my Pokemon." said Edd.
"Very well." said Professor Kukui. He then gives Edd Popplio's pokeball. Popplio goes over to Edd. It smiles at Edd who smiles back at Popplio. Ed runs over to Rowlet.
"I want Rowlet!" said Ed. Rowlet flutters over to Ed and lands on his shoulder. "Hi, Rowlet!" Rowlet smiles at Ed. Professor Kukui gives Ed Rowlet's pokeball.
"Then I guess I get Litten then." said Eddy. Litten walks over to Eddy and nuzzles his leg. Professor Kukui gives Eddy Litten's pokeball. Sarah and Jimmy walk over and look at the Eds' new Pokemon.
"They're so cute!" said Sarah. Jimmy kneels down and strokes Litten's back and pats Popplio's head. Ed kneels down so Sarah can get a better look at his new Rowlet. Sarah scratches the bottom of its beak. Professor Kukui looks at Sarah and Jimmy.
"Who might you two be?" asked Professor Kukui.
"This is my baby sister, Sarah." said Ed, pointing at Sarah.
"And that's her friend, Jimmy." said Edd, pointing at Jimmy.
"I didn't know you were bringing other people with you." said Professor Kukui.
"We didn't." said Eddy with a frown.
"They kind of stowed away in a bag that Ed had with him." explained Edd.
"Well, why would they do that?" asked Professor Kukui.
"They wanted to come along on our Pokemon journey here." explained Edd.
"Well, that was very reckless of you two." said Professor Kukui.
"We're sorry." said Sarah and Jimmy with shame.
"But what should we do about getting them their own Pokemon? I gave the only three I had to you boys." asked Professor Kukui. Sarah and Jimmy looked over at their Happiny and Riolu.
"We already got Pokemon." said Sarah, surprising Professor Kukui.
"Where did you get them?" asked Professor Kukui.
"During our time in Sinnoh; Ed and I each acquired a Pokemon egg. We forgot we had them in our possessions when we returned to Peach Creek. When we gave them to Sarah and Jimmy, they both hatched into the Happiny and Riolu you see before you." explained Edd.
"I see." said Professor Kukui. "Well at least you all have Pokemon to protect you against wild Pokemon." He reaches into one of his lab coat's pockets and pulls out three small booklets. "Here are your Trainer Passports, boys." He hands one to each of the Eds.
"Oh boy." said Ed.
"Thank you, Professor Kukui." said Edd.
"What are these for?" asked Eddy.
"They're just to keep your personal information in." explained Professor Kukui.
"Oh." said Eddy as he puts his Trainer Passport in his backpack.
"Hey! Don't me and Jimmy get Trainer Passports?" asked Sarah.
"Well, I do plan on taking the Eds' pictures to put in their passports at my lab. I have a few more passports there also. After I take your brother and his friends' pictures, I'll give you two Trainer Passports and take your pictures as well." said Professor Kukui.
"Goody, goody, goody!" said Jimmy with excitement. Professor Kukui reaches into another pocket and pulls out a red device that has a monitor with appeared to be eyes above it.
"And this is your Rotom Dex." said Professor Kukui as he holds the Rotom Dex towards the Eds.
"Thank you, Professor Kukui." said Edd as he takes it.
"Let's try it out, Double-D." said Eddy.
"Double-D?" asked Professor Kukui.
"You see, me and Ed's names are almost alike, except my name had two D's, so to avoid confusion, everyone calls me Double-D while everyone just calls Ed, well, Ed." explained Edd.
"Oh, I see." said Professor Kukui. Edd then points the Rotom Dex at his new Popplio.
"Popplio, the Sea Lion Pokemon. Popplio gets on top of its bouncy water balloons to jump higher. It's quite the acrobatic fighter!" said the Rotom Dex.
"Intriguing." said Edd. "And according to this, my Popplio is female, she knows Pound, Water Gun, and Growl, and like my Empoleon, she too has the Torrent ability." He then points the Rotom Dex at Ed's new Rowlet.
"Rowlet, the Grass Quill Pokemon. It feels relaxed in tight, dark places and has been known to use its trainer's pocket or bag as a nest." said the Rotom Dex.
"According to this, your Rowlet is a boy, he knows Tackle, Leafage, and Growl and he has the Overgrow ability." said Edd.
"Like Torterra?" asked Ed.
"Precisely." replied Edd.
"Cool." said Ed. He then points it at Eddy's new Litten.
"Litten, the Fire Cat Pokemon. Its coat regrows twice a year. When the time comes, Litten sets its own body on fire and burns away the old fur." said the Rotom Dex.
"Geez. That sounds more painful than waxing unwanted hair." said Eddy.
"I'm certain a fire type like Litten can easily take the heat." said Edd.
"Good point." said Eddy.
"This says your Litten is a boy, he knows Scratch, Ember, and Growl; and much like your Infernape, he also has the Blaze ability." said Edd.
"Sweet." said Eddy.
"What does that have to say about my Happiny?" asked Sarah. Edd points the Rotom Phone at Sarah's Happiny.
"Happiny, the Playhouse Pokemon. When it sees something round and white, Happiny puts it in the pouch on its stomach. It sometimes becomes overloaded and can't move." said the Rotom Dex.
"That's weird. Your Sinnoh pokedex had a different description of Happiny." said Sarah.
"I guess the Sinnoh pokedex has descriptions that are different from the Rotom Dex." said Edd.
"Try in on my Riolu, Double-D." said Jimmy. Edd points the Rotom Dex at Jimmy's Riolu.
"Riolu, the Emination Pokemon. It uses waves called auras to communicate with others of its kind. It doesn't make any noise during this time, so its enemies can't detect it." said the Rotom Dex. Professor Kukui walks up to the Eds.
"So, what do you think of your new starter Pokemon, boys?" asked Professor Kukui.
"They're so cool!" said Ed.
"They're quite fascinating." said Edd.
"I can't wait to start training my new Litten!" said Eddy. Litten mews with delight.
"That's great to hear. Welcome to the Alola Region, Eds." said Professor Kukui. The Eds, Sarah, and Jimmy have just stepped into a whole new world. Their journey has now just started.
