Prologue:- Gathering the cast.

This takes place a few days after Age of Ultron. Now there is some Canon divergence here
1) Frigga is still alive. She was injured by Kursed and was later healed. So with her still alive Loki didn't do his act of dying and returned to Asgard after helping Thor defeat Malekith. Odin seeing this doesn't put him in prison but kept him in house Arrest in his rooms.
2) Unlike Canon. Nick Fury actually reveals that Coulson is alive. Pietro doesn't die. Bruce returns to the Avengers instead of being exiled in Sakaar by the Illuminati.
It has been a few days after the destruction of Sokovia and the thousands of deaths that Ultron's crusade against humanity caused. And now it was up to Tony Stark, his girlfriend and almost fiancee Pepper Potts and their merry band of Lawyers to deal with this mess.
This is one of the reason Tony had retired from the Avengers. He knows that it will be almost impossible for him to be on the team as well as manage all the mess that Project Ultron had left. That as well as the crushing guilt of creating a murder bot.
And while he hadn't informed the Team of this, merely stating that he was tired of Avenging and now wants to live a life of peace and quite, he still suspects that the righteous Star Spangled man, aka Steve Rogers, knew about his reason for retirement. Fortunately for Tony, the boy scout is too polite to mention it to the team.
Even though it has been nearly three years they have know each other, it sometimes still surprises Tony how Cap can deal with his bullshit. From the moment they have met each other at Stuttgart he had been nothing but rude to the Captain, because of his own petty jealousy and daddy issues.
Tony Stark is not a good man, even though he have changed after spending a few weeks in the boiling caverns of Afghanistan. At his core he is still the same insecure traumatic man who hides beneath the facade of a sarcastic asshole.
Shaking his head he looked at the projection of his new Suit, Mark 46. Just because he has retired from the Avengers, doesn't mean he can't prepare for future conflicts.
"Well at least they have taken my warning seriously" He thought somberly.
After Sokovia, the original Avengers had a lengthy discussion about any future problems that may potentially rise. Tony's warning about threats from outer Space being the forefront of the discussion. Thor too, vouched for Tony this time, saying that the emergence of two Infinity Stones in three years is not a coincidence.
So now the Asgardian Prince is currently travelling across the Nine Realms and beyond searching for any rumours or hints about who is stirring things up. His last communication being from some Planet called Xandar where another Infinity Stone is being kept. And just like Earth, it too was attacked by some Inter-Galactic Warlord name Ronan.
While their alien Protector is off World, Steve and Natasha were training the new batch of Avengers. The Maximoff Twins Wanda and Pietro, Vision, Sam Wilson and Rhodes. Five new recruits, all of them being talented.
"Well Six recruits" Tony corrected himself with a smirk. If he has any say then Spider-Boy is currently well on his way.
Suddenly a light flashed beneath his feet.
"What th-" Tony yelps in alarm calls his trusted A.I "F.R.I.D.A.Y!!"
But before the A.I can reply, he was engulfed by the light.
Tony groaned opening his eyes. He scanned the surroundings and found himself in the middle of what looks like a movie theatre.
"Where am I?" He thought getting up. Suddenly bright flashes filled the room and a number of people began appearing.
The Avengers, both old and new. Then there is Nick Fury, Maria Hill and Phil Coulson (whom Nick had recently revealed to be still alive and kicking ass) Some richly dressed people who looks like they appeared from Renaissance fair. A green alien with black hair and a bald blue cyborg lady. A human wearing weird costume, and...is that a tree and a raccoon standing on its hind legs?
Cries of shock and alarm filled the room before being cut by a powerful voice.
"What is the meaning of this?" Came the booming voice of an eye-patched wearing individual. His powerful voice and Aura immediately put stop to all the unrest.
"I don't know father" Came the response of their resident hammer wielding Asgardian friend, who immediately, noticed their presence. His cornflower blue eyes widened with warmth and joy and he shouted "My friends!!"
"Thor" Steve smiled at his fellow blonde teammate before wincing as he was engulfed in a bear hug by the over-enthusiastic Thunderer.
"How did we all get here?" Fury demanded.
"I remembered a light" Natasha said quietly.
"Sorcery" The voluminous man with red hair and beard muttered distastefully.
The other one-eyed man, Thor's father, frowned before narrowing his eye and turned towards..oh.
"Loki!!" The man demanded "Is this your doing?"
"LOKI!!" The original team shouted, some more than others. Clint was particularly frothing in his mouth while Bruce had a tinge of green up his neck.
"Wait" Sam interrupted "Loki? As in New York, big ass alien fleet. That Loki".
"The very same" Clint growled.
To his credit, Reindeer Games only rolled his eyes looking almost bored.
"How could I transport so many people in a single room without the Tesseract, father?" The Asshole drawled "And here I thought you were called wise".
Odin purpled with rage and was about to summon his Weapon when he realised with a jolt that Gungnir wasn't in his hand.
"Where is Gungnir?!" Odin demanded.
The Asgardian Warrior's eyes widened and they hastily searched for their own weapons.
"Where is my precious Fimbuldraugr?!" Fandral the Dashing cried out, searching for his Sword.
"Hridgandr is missing too" Hogun the Grim said...well grimly.
"As is Brandrheid!" Volstagg said in concern.
"As is Undrsigr" Lady Sif clenched her fists.
"No!! where is Mjolnir?!" Thor cried out in shock, feeling a part of himself is lost.
"We all are missing our Weapons" The man in Ravager outfit said as he noted that his and Rocket's blasters, Drax's and Gamora's Sword were all missing.
"What have you done now Reindeer Games?" Tony asked as he saw both the Avengers and Asgardians all glaring at the trickster.
Said Trickster is getting frustrated himself.
"Come on Tin Man I am a prisoner at Asgard. I have done nothing this time" Loki groaned out.
"A likely story" Clint snapped.
"Come now, Man of Hawks. My brother is a changed man now. He even helped me and Jane in stopping the Dark Elves from plunging the realms in Darkness" Thor said, feeling the need of defending his brother.
"My Son, Thor is right" The Soothing voice of Frigga All-Mother instantly drained the tension of many "He has been well behaved this past two years".
"Then who is responsible?" Sif demanded crossing her arms.
"I am" A voice chimed and with a flash of light a ten year old kid appeared in front of them.
While the humans only saw a harmless child, the Asgardians particularly those who have mastered the Arts of Seidr and can sense the life force, become alarmed at the amount of raw energy that seemed to flow from this boy.
"Who are you?" Odin asked warily.
"Hi!" The kid chirped grinning, as he excitedly waved his hand "My name is Dis, but you can call me D. And I brought you here".
"Why?" Loki asked intrigued.
"Because I am bored" The boy whined pouting before grinning "And I want you show another Universe".
"Another Universe?" Tony asked in excitement. Oh all the possibilities!
"Yes. You see my People live In-Between the Void which surrounds the Multiverse. We see the Universe as movies" D explained "And while we aren't strong enough to influence it, we can see certain events as it happens or had already happened".
"So are you gods too?" Wanda asked.
"No! We are not. As I said earlier we can see the events but we cannot change or influence it" D explained.
"Besides I won't call myself gods when their are powers higher than us" D thought shuddering, his mind flashing with images of the shifting tides of immaterium and the powers that resides there.
"All is well but why are you showing this to us? What do we gain from this?" Nick Fury asked suspiciously.
"Because like it or not. You guys are my favourite people and the future that lays await in front of you all is dark and uncertain" D said gravely causing his audience to share concern glances "The Universe I am about to show you is very Dark and Depressing and seeing it maybe will help you understand a few things".
"Like what?" Steve asked quietly.
"That sometimes no sacrifice is too great in way of victory" D said solemnly before snapping his fingers which caused a big screen to appear.
"Let's get started!"
