Aruji-sama = It means Lord, Chief, and Master.

*Touken Danshi = AKA Sword Warriors, gods of swords created from ancient spirit and techniques that are given human form. They are the summons under Saniwa. (Touken Ranbu)

-Sword Types : Wakizashi, Uchigatana, Tachi, Ootachi, Yari, Nagitana, and Tsurugi. (Touken Ranbu)

*Sage = The power used by Saniwa to assist and summon new Touken Danshi (Touken Ranbu)

*Jikan sokōgun = AKA Time Retrograde Army and Historical Revisionists, antagonists and responsible of traveling back in time to alter historical events. (Touken Ranbu)br /

*Honmaru = Also known as Citadel, a Japanese-castle-like establishment where Saniwa and the Touken Danshi lives. (Touken Ranbu)

*Heroic Spirits = AKA Legendary Souls, are spirits of heroes who achieved great deeds in life, having become objects of worship after their deaths. (FATE)

*Servants = are Heroic Spirits that the Master of Chaldea commands. (FATE)

*Majutsu = AKA Magecraft, is the artificial reenactment of Mystery, which is ordinarily possible only by inhuman beings. It is the ability to bring about what is possible through science with supernatural means. (FATE)

Chapter 16 : Minamoto Castle Arc V – Two-End Battle

The clash was intense on different sides of the battlefield, Touken Danshi and Servants were working together in tandem like they had been for a long time now. Saniwa struggled to aid his main team who were fighting different opponents but that did not let him down and continued assisting them while Gudao screamed orders both verbally and in action as he assisted his own main team in their battle to support the Touken Danshi.

For the extra teams who were focused on dealing with Jikan Sokōgun, when there's a breath time, they could not help but look at the main battle to see what's going on. The extra team of Touken Danshi couldn't help but be surprised at the improvement of the main team, like all of the sudden they were on a different level as they could now match against their respective opponent despite the struggle still present before them.

"Tch, we can't let ourselves get behind." Heshikiri Hasebe said as he clenched his sword when he witnessed how Yagen Toushirou was moving faster and swiftly than before, as if he had leveled up so much, they were left behind.

"Heh, as expected of that old man Muramasa and Master." Nobunasa said, which made Heshikiri Hasebe turn to witness her watching the battle while all her floating firearms kept raining around her, not needing full attention to kill one or more Jikan Sokōgun in swift manner.

'If the ones she's gunning for were not Jikan Sokōgun but real people, this battle would have been long over and…' Heshikiri Hasebe couldn't help but imagine a lot of human dead corpses lying around, a real blooded battlefield. 'I hope nothing like that ever happened.' Shaking his head to get the image away from his head, he asked a question, "Did Muramasa-san do something?"

"Remember Master's theory about Touken Danshi?" Nobunaga said with eyebrow raised, "The sword you hold may be the reflection of your own selves, as such with Muramasa who's actually a blacksmith than a fighter, what he did was use his skill to enhance the sword they wield and what you see is the result."

"Amazing!" Heshikiri Hasebe whispered in amazement.

Nobunaga smirked, amused at his reaction. Feeling good and proud for her Master, she decided to double her effort by summoning her firearms twice to its number and began raining them again with bullets, killing and destroying a lot of Jikan Sokōgun in a few minutes.

Seeing how much Nobunaga was going berserk against Jikan Sokōgun, Ryouma who was guarding both Masters couldn't help but comment, "If's she's in a good mood then there's nothing else for us to worry about the Jikan Sokōgun, all that's left is to deal with the enemies' servants."

Okita Alter nodded in agreement, eyes focused on the Jikan Sokōgun surrounding them before asking, "Will they be okay?"

"They would." Ryouma is easily assured. Okita Alter nodded, understanding where the confidence was coming from. "Let's trust them."

"Alter." Master suddenly called, immediately Okita Alter's attention was focused on her Master. "Yes Master?"

"Since Nobu can handle a lot of them on her own, I'm starting to worry about the soldiers that are struggling to keep some Jikan Sokōgun at bay." Gudao said, despite knowing all those soldiers are very well trained by his Servants to make them able to deal with any of them on their own. "Please go and take command, have those who are unable to battle retreat and if possible, keep our damage to a minimum as much as possible."

Okita Alter swift her Otachi back to its scabbard before bowing to her Master, "Understood Master, I shall go ahead and lead them myself."

Hearing Gudao's order to Okita Alter and agreeing to the situation they're in, he turned to Kashuu Kiyomitsu who just finished two Jikan Sokōgun and ordered him, "Kashuu, go follow Okita Alter-san and assist her."

Hearing the order, Kashuu Kiyomitsu was overjoyed and answered, "Yes Aruji-sama!"

Heshikiri Hasebe smirked as he said to Kashuu Kiyomitsu, "Do your best Kashuu, don't become a disappointment out there." He joked. Kashuu Kiyomitsu commented back, "Of course I won't be, idiot!"

Okita Alter smirked on the two before saying, "Let's go Kashuu."

"Yes Alter-san!" Kashuu Kiyomitsu answered.

Okita Alter and Kashuu Kiyomitsu run out from the castle to do what they were told to do, of course it was an easy escape thanks to Nobunaga's raining bullets rampage.

Heshikiri Hasebe shouted at the rest, "The rest of you, don't let Nobunaga take all the glory, slice them up!"

"Roger!"

In the battle between Saito Hajime, Izou and Higekiri, it was a three-way dance of sword clashing with each other. Ever since he got a hang of his new power, Higekiri started becoming bold enough to come on the front line to match against Saito Hajime despite the clear difference between the two but Higekiri doesn't care because…

"Bestow him strength and defense!" Saniwa shouted as he used his power to provide Higekiri with a boost of strength and defense.

With his Aruji-sama supporting him, how could he lose? The best way to return the gratitude is to win this battle!

"HA!" Higekiri did a strong slash but it was dodge by Saito who was glaring at his two opponents.

Saito can see Izou's sword coming his way and to avoid being hit, he had raised his sword to block it and it was successful but no weight was felt from the blade.

'An illusion? …!' Saito was too late, behind him was the real Izou while in front of him was an illusion. What Izou did was take advantage of his current Heroic Spirit Class, Assassin.

With a given opening, Izou did not hesitate to use his Noble Phantasm, "Shimatsuken!" quick slashes over his body and ended with Saito being stabbed behind him. "I'm a genius…" Izou with his might raised his sword up, causing a large pool of blood spraying the surroundings, "Swordsman! Ahahahaha!"

"Ughhh!" Saito granted in pain from the unexpected release of Noble phantasm much less a direct attack against him, still as expected from the enhancement, the direct damage he had received can be considered minor as his body is recovering from his attack. "You bastard, I will kill you!" Saito exclaimed as he could slowly feel his arm moving and was focused on attacking Izou at this moment.

However, Izou merely smirked as he knew it was worth it. 'Finish this, Higekiri!'

Due to Saito Hajime's blind rage against Izou that he had forgotten another opponent who could actually damage him thanks to the effect of the enhancement, and that was Higekiri who's in charge position, sword back in his scabbard but hand gripping on the handle, he took a deep breath as he release his own sage power.

"Hissatsu!" Higekiri breathed as he dashed forward.

Sensing an incoming attack, he turned to the side to see Higekiri coming near him at great speed, sword being drawn out from the scabbard and sage power surrounding him. He could also see a symbol of Sakura behind him. Without giving any chance for Saito Hajime to make a counter, Higekiri began his elegant sword dance, slashing everything that's within his target area but attacks never leaving his original target, more multiple slashes until he gave a final slash that ends his battle, leaving beautiful Sakura petals bursting from the ground that shows despite a serious and battle of the death match, he could still procure beauty with his sword.

"Gah!" Saito Hajime silently screamed as he could feel himself crumbling down. The enhancement around him had broken apart, a clear show for everyone that Izou and Higekiri had won.

Not wasting the chance, Gudao took a deep breath, raising his right hand as his command seal began glowing as he chanted.

"Hear thy voice, for I am thy Master sent by the Counter Force, the one charged to change thy time's history and correct it according to thy mankind's desire, Heroic Spirit Saito Hajime of Saber Class, as a Counter Master I command thy!"

Some kind of magecraft seal appeared below Saito Hajime, enveloping him with a crimson light. Command seal getting brighter as Gudao finished the chant.

"For I embody all that is good in the world. I shall defeat all that is evil in this world. Come and serve me!"

The light encircled around Saito Hajime for a moment before depleting, leaving Saito Hajime on the ground unconscious.

Izou observed the unconscious Servant before him before taking a deep breath, he could still feel the damages he had received from this battle but unfortunately, he could not rest as of yet.

"You good?" Izou inquired Higekiri who was catching his breath, sheltering his sword back to his scabbard. Taking a deep breath, he stood straight as he turned to Izou and responded, "Yes, I'm fine."

"Good because it's not over yet." Izou said with a grin then glanced at his Master as he shouted, "Your order Master?"

"Join the battle against Amakusa, they need more help." Gudao ordered and Izou's grin widened as he glanced toward the battle against Amakusa Shiro, "Okay Master!"

Without delay, Izou dashed forward to join the battle.

On the other hand, Saniwa shouted, "Higekiri-san can you still keep up?"

"Yes Aruji-sama, do not worry about me. I can still continue." Higekiri assured him with a gentle smile. Saniwa smiled as he nodded, accepting his answer. "Then please join the battle against Sakata Kintoki."

"Understood Aruji-sama, heading out!" Higekiri said as he dashed towards the battle against Sakata Kintoki.

On the other side of the battle, it was like a battle of speed between ninjas, appearing there with the sound of clashing metals before disappearing out of sight then appearing from another location. That's the current situation in the battle between Kiichi Hogen, Okita Souji and Yamatonokami Yasusada. At first it would be impossible for a Touken Danshi to follow this flow of battle but thanks to Senji Muramasa's enhanced help and his Aruji-sama's support in giving him more speed he was able to match up and fight in equal ground.

Still, there's no doubt in Yamatonokami Yasusada's condition, he's lagging a bit. Clothes tattered and damage clearly showed to his body but he kept pressing forward, not wanting to become a burden and mostly needed to fulfill his mission, to penetrate the enhancement and defeat the enemy.

Okita, ever since Senji's coming help, did not glance at Yamatonokami Yasusada's condition as her cold eyes were more focused on delivering attacks against Kiichi Hogen. It's because of this focus that Kiichi Hogen was having a hard time dealing with them despite the enhancement.

Kiichi Hogen in her lore is without the doubt a great warrior and mentor as she's a known great tengu so she should be able to deal with them like children but these two are different. The two were indeed refined samurais, knows how to use the strength of their opponent to become their strength, make her technique become their extension to deliver an attack and this situation truly flared Kiichi Hogen's flaming spirit to the core as she began to laugh madly as she swings her spears wildly not only to block their blades but also cause damage to their surroundings, not even caring if some attacks hit her fellow men like the Jikan Sokōgun.

"More! Bring come to me more! KANRA KARA KARA!" Kiichi Hogen laughs as she began to use tactics in her move that suddenly changed the flow of battle by erasing her own presence within the surroundings and attacking in surprise.

Yamatonokami Yasusada twitched in agitation when out of nowhere the enemy attacked from behind but he was able to block it and give his own but the attack merely missed as if he's attacking a thin air. 'This is getting nowhere, what should I do?' He thought as he looked around for his enemy.

He turns to see his previous owner, Okita running towards him. Before he could speak, he heard the sound of a fan from behind and barely witnessed a strong twirling gust coming his way. Unable to defend from the incoming attack, all he could do was brace himself from attack but what he did not expect was for his former master to pass through him and use her own body to take the attack head on.

"Okita-san!" Yamatonokami Yasusada screamed in horror as he witnessed her body bleeding but still standing strong, mouth bleeding but eyes held strong, focusing on her enemy before him.

Once the gust attack vanished when Okita had been forced to sit down, body unable to bear the damage. Okita grunted in pain but refused to drop down no matter what. Yamatonokami Yasusada hastily approached her as he asked, "Okita-san are you alright?"

"Never mind me, she's coming!" Okita glared and true to her words, Kiichi Hogen floated in the sky with a glee of madness, large fan in hand as she mumbled, "Taste it, my Noble Phantasm." Her surroundings began to change atmosphere, indicating her Noble Phantasm was about to initiate.

'Noble Phantasm… the Servant's most powerful move…' Yamatonokami Yasusada glared as he gripped his sword tightly and without hesitation charged forward, sword pointing toward his enemy and the move he's about to use was the move of his previous owner, Okita Souji's known signature move.

"The Heavenly drums ring," Kiichi Hogen said as a strong tempest surrounded her before decapitating, one Kiichi Hogen became four and all were standing in the air vibrating three different colors of aura: red, blue, yellow and green. "But not with thunder."

In normal cases, a sudden multiple enemy would have them pause but not Yamatonokami Yasusada and Okita Souji, because to them it doesn't matter how many enemies they produce because in the end, for the sake of their Lord, their swords will kill them.

"Grant thy blessing Yamatonokami-san!" His Aruji-sama screamed and a surge of power enveloped his body, twirling Sakura petals surrounding his body as well as the path he crossed, with this Yamatonokami Yasusada has nothing to fear.

"My thanks Aruji-sama!" Yamatonokami Yasusada breathed as he charged forward to Kiichi Hogen whose aura glowing in green, "Hissatsu!" A symbol of Sakura appeared behind him as his body was enveloped in sage power.

"The tengu streaks through-!" Before Kiichi Hogen swing her fan to release the tempest, Yamatonokami Yasusada was already right in front of her and because she's in the middle of releasing her noble phantasm she's paralyze to do anything else, as such with this disadvantage the Touken Danshi give his everything.

"Lightless, Three-Stage Thrust!" Yamatonokami Yasusada breathed as he thrusted his sword three times at lightning speed to strike her vital part, which is her heart.

Not finished yet, he twirled his body around and began his dance, slashing every single part of her and Kiichi Hogen could do nothing but scream in pain from the damage she's receiving. The activation of the Noble Phantasm ceased, resulting in four Kiichi Hogen returning back into one which was being barraged by him. The enhancement she's subjected to as well was showing cracks that's increasingly larger and larger until…

"HAAA!" With Yamatonokami Yasusada's final slash, the enhancement broke and Kiichi Hogen's eyes were pure white, a clear sign she had been lost and unconscious.

Without wasting time, Gudao repeated his chant, command seal glowing.

"Hear thy voice, for I am thy Master sent by Counter Force, the one charged to change thy time's history and correct it according to thy mankind's desire, Heroic Spirit Kiichi Hogen of Assassin Class, as a Counter Master I command thy!"

Some kind of magecraft seal appeared below Kiichi Hogen's unconscious body, enveloping her with a crimson light. Command seal getting brighter as Gudao finished the chant.

"For I embody all that is good in the world. I shall defeat all that is evil in this world. Come and serve me!"

The light encircled around Kiichi Hogen for a moment before depleting. The battle between them is over and they have won.

Yamatonokami Yasusada was breathing heavily as the sage power left him, gripping his sword hard to remain standing. Petals of sakura twirled around before disappearing. There's no doubt in the finishing blow, he had given everything to gain victory.

A sound of painful cough echoed, making the young swordsman remember her. "Okita-san!" He screamed in worry as he ran towards Okita who was coughing blood.

Okita smirked as she glanced at him, who sat in front of him and looked worried for her. "I'm fine." She assured, followed by praising him, "Good job remembering one of our weaknesses."

Yamatonokami Yasusada's eyes widened for a bit before smiling happily as he nodded, taking her praise to heart. He had indeed remembered how Okita and Alter provided them with information that would help them deal with Heroic Spirits.

The Noble Phantasm of Heroic Spirits were indeed the most powerful but also a weakness for those who are non-servants can exploit because the activation caused them to pause and chant to release the said Noble Phantasm, once started, not even they could do anything to stop it. So, if anyone attacks them while in the middle of activating their Noble Phantasm, they're nothing but sitting ducks awaiting to be taken down.

The two heard multiple steps heading to them, turning to the source, it was Gudao, Saniwa and the others.

Gudao smiled at Okita as he started using healing mystic arts to Okita and said, "Good job Okita, please rest for a bit and allow me to heal you."

"My apologies Master and thank you." Okita said with a smile as she allowed herself to relax a bit and began to take a deep breath, relishing her Master's power to heal herself so she could join again.

"Thank you for winning Yamatonokami-san, please rest as well and allow me to heal you too." Saniwa said towards his Touken Danshi."

Yamatonokami Yasusada smiled brightly as he said, "Thank you Aruji-sama."

Saniwa started using his power to heal him. While healing him, he couldn't help but feel worried as his eyes turned toward the remaining battle they had, which for his book is not going according to their favor.

"Any ideas on how to fight against them, Gudao?" Saniwa asked, seeing how Sakata Kintoki easily destroyed the surroundings like a true berserker to fight against them and there was Amakusa Shiro who they could barely touch and hinder them every time they moved to strike. Even with additional force, the situation hasn't changed at all.

Gudao understood his concern and he too was thinking the same thing, and to answer his question, "I have but I need time, I need them to buy me time."

"Master please allow me to assist." Okita said but Gudao shook his head, "You will but not now. Focus on recovering first, this is an order."

Okita felt conflicted but obeyed him, "Understood."

Ryouma couldn't help but comment, "I can guess what you plan to do but that would be tough Master, but as a strategist I agree with the concept."

Gudao smirked, "But the plan still has flaws. Unfortunately, Professor isn't with us so I have to trouble you with helping me patch this plan to succeed Ryouma-san."

Ryouma couldn't help but smirked back, "I really can't be compared with Zhuge Liang's strategic mind but I will do my best to assist you Master."

"Zhuge Liang… Kongming!?" Saniwa couldn't help but breath in shock upon hearing their conversation. For someone like him who is familiar with the Romance of Three Kingdom and its historical records, Saniwa definitely knew what kind of person Kongming was. 'This is so unfair! I want to meet him!' Sanima mentally fan-screaming, an image of his own Chibi self in crocodile tears showing in the background.

Thankfully his mental anguish can only be known by himself alone as the rest were focused on the next battle where the fate of Minamoto Castle will be decided.
