Chapter ten:

"Hikaru." Kyouya places a hand on Hikaru's shoulder causing the other to turn to meet his eyes with no glare on his glasses. "Let's allow Kaoru to explain what happened. Apologies can come afterwards."

Hikaru nods and takes a deep breath to help calm himself.

The two turn to look to Kaoru after this to wait for him to explain things.

"Well I think I should start a little early so things make sense. See, while our parents were forcing me to do this I met a woman. Josephine actually. She wanted to help me and is a part of a group that does help people in bad situations. Like how I was in a bad situation. So she'd pick me up every chance that she got and would try to hang out with me for as long as possible. She give me a lot of money for it to help keep our parents happy. Then one day she gave me an offer, a deal. To join her group and I would be free from the whole situation. With one condition that I can't really bring up. I was given time to think about it. Then that night came. After we went our separate ways that man tried to force me to join those that have already fell victim to him. I was saved by Josephine and her group. I decided to accept the offer and became a part of their group leaving everything else behind. I thought that there was nothing left for me there since I thought you hated me now." Kaoru explains which does hurt Hikaru's heart.

"I don't hate you." Hikaru informs Kaoru who blinks at him. "Not after I found out what our parents were making you do. I knew that what I found you doing wasn't your fault. Wasn't your own choice. I actually left our 'parents' place and am currently living with Kyouya. I do plan to change my last name. I just don't know to what yet. I don't want to be associated with them anymore." He blinks tearfully at his brother who he is relieved is okay. "I truly am so sorry for you almost falling to being that man's next victim. If only I had known back then I would have stopped it. You could have told me. Talked to me."

"I was terrified about you finding out." Kaoru admits a little quietly then quickly gets hugged by Hikaru who sobs to him. He hugs the other back and the two spend a little standing there hugging.

Hikaru pulls away though he remains close to Kaoru.

Kyouya clears his throat causing the twins to turn to him. "Well Kaoru. You are free to come to my place for now until everything is figured out. I am sure that I can negotiate a way out for you from this deal that you've made. Whatever it entails."

Hikaru feels his heart leap in hope. His wipes away his tears before turning to his brother wanting him to take the offer.

Kaoru shifts as if unsure that it truly is possible for that to happen. "The deal isn't really something that can be negotiated."

"Then I'll make the same deal!" Hikaru's words get a wide eyed look from Kaoru. He doesn't understand what this deal could hold, however he will be in it together with his brother and that is all that matters to him.

"I am sure I can find a way. What does this deal include?" Kyouya presses the younger a little about this now with a light glare on his glasses. "I won't share that you told me and I can perhaps begin to figure out a way to negotiate around it. Don't doubt my abilities on this."

Kaoru shifts again and is quiet for a few long moments.

Hikaru's worry about what this deal could mean deepens. He is getting a bad feeling about this. "Kaoru… They're not making you do something else that you don't want to? Are they?"

Kaoru turns to Hikaru with surprised eyes as if he can't believe that Hikaru would suggest such a thing. "Of course not! They treat me like family. Like actual family. They make sure that I am okay with whatever they let me join in on. Like being introduced to someone who runs a place where they get some of their money." His words do soothe Hikaru at hearing this. He looks away as if unable to look at either of the two. "It's… It's just something that cannot be reversed…" He lets out a breath before finally mumbling it out. "I agreed that I would join and let them turn into a vampire." He turns with his eyes closed and opens his mouth to show his vampire fangs.

Hikaru almost falls on his ass after hearing this and seeing the proof. He can't believe that this is even real to any capacity! Yet he has his proof right there in the new fangs that Kaoru sports. He blinks as he feels himself drawn to the present as Kaoru closes his mouth. He opens his own mouth wanting to say something only for no words to come out. He closes his mouth hoping that there is some way for him to get the words out.

"I see." Kyouya hums softly at this. "Well there still may be some way. It'll take longer to figure out." He turns to Hikaru who turns to look at him as well. "Would you like to continue to stay at my place?"

Hikaru does want to go with Kaoru however he sadly might not be able to. He isn't sure that Josephine will want him around if he isn't a vampire… And he wants to be there for Kaoru however he isn't sure that he can become a vampire as well… So he isn't really sure what to do. "I think I'll stay with you for now. Until I figure out what I want to do, or we figure out what to do about all of this."

"Hikaru. I don't want to become a vampire just to be close to me. We'll figure something else out." Kaoru informs Hikaru meeting his eyes when he turns to his twin.

"That'll be up to me." Hikaru gently places a caring hand on Kaoru's right cheek. "We will consider other things. However if it comes down to it I will seriously consider letting myself be turned like you." He tells Kaoru trying to make sure that he knows that he is serious about this.

They all jump when the school bell rings indicating that classes are about to start.

"Well we can figure out more things later. For now let us not be tardy." Kyouya adjust the glasses on his face.

The three of them hurry to their classes with that knowing that this also gives them sometime to think over the information that has come to light.

Hikaru is so bothered by what Kaoru told him that he forgets everything else he wanted to tell Kaoru. He can't stop thinking about what Kaoru is now all day, while sticking super close to Kaoru all day.

Not that Kaoru shows any signs of wanting Hikaru to back off as he gives Hikaru looks that it is alright to stay so close. In fact he almost looks to welcome it.
