Toshinori's Choice
Chapter six: Not all oversight can be prevented
In the alternate timeline, Toshinori was late getting to the USJ due to stopping various crimes along his commute. It's how Iida found him out in the field before sending him straight to the besieged USJ to help out there while Iida rushed to UA to get as many pro hero teachers as possible. Because of All Might not being there from the get-go to help out with fending off the villains, Aizawa and Thirteen plus ten of Class 1-A's twenty students were all killed, and the mist villain and Izuku alone had been able to escape capture by the heroes.
Due to remembering that, and praying that the crimes in this current timeline will be prevented by other pro heroes, Toshinori had convinced as many UA teachers as possible to come with him, and they made a straight beeline to the USJ, arriving just moments after the villains filed into the facility via the mist villain's misty portal warping quirk. Along the way, Toshinori mentioned several villains he had 'heard of' (i.e. remembered from the alternate timeline but he didn't say that out loud), such as the hand villain who he said is so dangerous that he had to be killed on sight if spotted.
The other UA teachers were surprised to hear it that Toshinori said that a villain was so bad he had to be killed on sight if spotted. But since this is All Might they were hearing this from, and that he would NEVER say anything like that unless there was a VERY good reason, they all instantly agreed that the hand villain, who Toshinori gave a brief description of, would be slain on sight if any of them found him in the field. Little did any of them (aside from the Symbol of Peace himself) know that the hand villain was going to be found very soon.
As such, when Toshinori and the UA teachers arrived, with All Might busting through the door, Snipe upon spotting Tomura with the villains who invaded the USJ instantly whipped out a gun and fired, scoring a perfect head-shot that dropped the hand-covered villain before he was able to do anything. The pro hero teachers then used the confusion the villains had from seeing their leader snuffed out so suddenly to storm in and defeat and capture all of the villains. Toshinori shouted for someone to keep an eye on the mist villain when he saw him try to warp away, but they failed and the mist villain successfully escaped.
Although that one blip from the alternate timeline still occurred in this timeline, Toshinori chose to take comfort in the fact that none of the heroes or students were killed; none of them were even seriously hurt. Toshinori today had prevented a dozen deaths (maybe only eleven; Mineta wasn't there due to previously being expelled) that would have otherwise occurred. The Symbol of Peace felt far more assured now, felt that if he kept taking measures and taking appropriate actions, he could still prevent the bad future of the alternate timeline.
...
Toshinori and the other UA teachers had just gotten off fighting the villains who attacked the USJ. The fodder force villains and the Nomu were all apprehended and sent off to jail (or a special facility for the Nomu), and the remains of the villain who was slain, Tomura Shigaraki, were sent to the morgue. It was Hizashi who came walking up to Toshinori. "Whew!" Hisashi said as he let out a breath, "Those news press guys I talked to about half an hour ago were more of a challenge to deal with than any of the villains in the attack!"
"You remembered what all to say, right?" Toshinori asked. Hizashi nodded in the affirmative, confirming that all he said was that one person died at the USJ. He gave no further details than that, so no-one outside of the know has any idea if it was a villain or a hero or one of the students. Toshinori felt it was best to keep things under wraps, at least until they were ready to take things and make them public knowledge. It was as Toshinori praised Hizashi for a job well done that they were approached by Sekijiro, one of the teachers Toshinori brought along.
"Hey All Might," Sekijiro said, "There was an accident on a highway on the way to UA earlier."
"An accident?" Toshinori asked; in the alternate timeline, he remembered hearing that there was a massive traffic accident sometime shortly after the USJ attack was resolved. It saw Endeavor fighting a villain, and said accident wrecked at least twenty vehicles and caused at least forty deaths. The official story on the matter, if the Symbol of Peace recalled what happened in the alternate timeline correctly, was that the villain that Endeavor had fought was the sole responsible party for the accident. Toshinori asked Sekijiro here in the current timeline for details, and everything Sekijiro said had matched up bit for bit with what had occurred in the alternate timeline's version of the event.
Toshinori was instantly alarmed, as the traffic accident occurred regardless. Granted, Toshinori felt it was in no way connected to preventing the bad future, and it was just a bit of bad luck that can ultimately be avenged, but it still pained him to know that forty plus lives that could have been saved were still lost. If Toshinori wasn't so single-mindedly focused on looking after Izuku and his peers, fostering their growth as pro heroes, then Toshinori might of had the foresight to do something that could have mitigated the damage.
Toshinori realized that he had allowed too much oversight, and vowed to himself to be more vigilant.
The morning after the incident at the USJ, all twenty students in Class 1-A were seated in class. "Wait a minute, Tsuyu," Uraraka said, a look of concern on her face, "What do you mean your parents never came back last night?"
"When I got back from school yesterday kero," Tsuyu began, "I found that it was just Satsuki and Samidare waiting for me. Samidare handed me a note that mom had written for me. In the note, mom and dad told Samidare and Satsuki that they had rushed off to UA to check on me after they heard about how there was one death at the USJ attack but didn't hear who it was, and they feared it was me. Now my little siblings and I are getting worried."
Mina gave an unsure frown as she heard that story. "Did you try calling them?"
"I couldn't attempt to call them until after we were allowed to go home yesterday," Tsuyu said, "It was fairly late when I got home, so after I failed to get a hold of either of my parents, I figured that they learned I had survived, were relieved to hear it, then decided to get something special for my siblings and I to celebrate the fact."
"But they didn't get back by the time your siblings and you got up this morning," Hagakure remarked.
Tsuyu nodded once in the affirmative. "I'm just assuming that they got held up somewhe-"
"So this is the famous class that survived a villain attack!"
"Oi! Get the fuck out of my way, you blonde hysteric holler monkey!"
The girls all perked up when they heard a random male voice get into an altercation with Bakugo, making all six of the girls look up and turn their heads to see Bakugo with Kaminari, Sero, and Kirishima trying to leave homeroom but being held up by a group of students from other classes, including a blonde boy who had a smug and self-assured air about him. The six girls all got up and made their way over, with some of the boys in class following behind, as Bakugo and the guys with him were right in the middle of dealing with the random students.
Pointing to Bakugo, the mysterious blonde boy scoffed, "You Class 1-A guys had made a good impression on the news, but from what I'm seeing it was nothing more than talk. I fail to see how you're as good as what the word going around about you all is saying."
"Bruh," Kaminari said, "It was a bunch of teachers showing up and kicking the villains' asses. We... just stood back at a safe distance and watched the show."
"So you all are cowards who slipped lies to the news media to puff yourselves up," the mysterious blonde boy replied.
"The teachers wouldn't let us fight the villains, dumbass," Bakugo snarled, "We had to wait for them to give us permission to use our quirks! Those are the rules for the hero course, you twat!"
"Feh," sneered another boy next to the mysterious blonde boy; this second boy had jet black skin and stark white hair. "Quit using excuses to cover up the fact that the lot of you were simply too weak to fight back against the villains."
"We could have wiped the floor with them if the teachers gave us the okay to use our quirks!" Sero snapped, "But again, it's hero course rules! What class are you guys even in?"
"We come from Class 1-B," the mysterious blonde boy said, "And we shall be the ones to put you sorry 1-A lot in your place!"
"Oh ho ho, thems sound like fightin' words," Kaminari remarked.
Nodding once, the jet black boy said, "They will be, given that the UA Sports Festival is coming up. We'll be seeing you-"
"Hey, you kids back away from the 1-A homeroom door," Ryo's voice called out, making the crowd of students back away and let the Hunting Dog Hero walk on in. Pointing at the blonde boy and the jet black boy, Ryo said, "You two are boys from Sekijiro's class. Why are you both leading a group of students to harass Aizawa's class here?"
"We were just letting them know that we'll be creaming them at the Sports Festival, Inui-sensei," said the blonde boy, "As well as tell them off for getting a swelled head over surviving the villain attack at that USJ place."
Sighing, Ryo said, "Yeah, Imma have to talk this over with Sekijiro." Making a shooing away gesture, Ryo said, "Anyway, Imma have to ask that you two move along now. I need to collect one of Aizawa's students." As the two Class 1-B boys left while the rest of the gathered students dispersed, Ryo turned to look at Bakugo and the other boys with him. "Can you boys find your classmate Asui for me?" Ryo asked.
"You need me Inui-sensei kero?" Tsuyu spoke up, making Bakugo's group turn to see Tsuyu, the other girls, and a few guys standing there.
Ryo nodded once in the affirmative. "I need you to come with me. There's something you need to be informed of." Looking to the group with Tsuyu, Ryo saw that Izuku was one of the boys standing behind the girls. "Ah, Midoriya," Ryo said, "All Might's secretary Yagi wants to speak with you. Yagi's your step-dad, right?"
"I prefer to skip the 'step' part and just call him my dad, but yeah," Izuku replied. Ryo nodded once and told Izuku where to go find Toshinori. Izuku went off on his own while Ryo asked Tsuyu to follow him to Nezu's office. Mina made a teasing remark that Tsuyu might be in trouble, but Hagakure gently told Mina off, saying that there's no way any trouble is coming Tsuyu's way.
...
As it turned out, Toshinori wanted to see if Izuku was aware that the UA Sports Festival was coming up. Izuku nodded in the affirmative, and asked if it was even okay to hold the Sports Festival in light of the recent villain attack at the USJ. Toshinori assured Izuku that Nezu said nothing was up, and the swift and immediate response of UA's staff to fend off the villain attack showed that UA's security is still solid. Nezu still nonetheless planned to beef security up, as one villain was able to escape being apprehended by the heroes.
Toshinori had remembered what occurred in the alternate timeline; the Sports Festival was canceled after the USJ attack because two teachers and ten students were all killed. Furthermore, the surviving Class 1-A students were given grief by students from other classes over it, and there were a few students expelled from UA by Nezu due to how bad some of the harassment was. But here, where no teachers or students were killed (in fact the only death was a villain), the Sports Festival was able to go on as per usual this time.
Toshinori also got it from Izuku that a bunch of students from other classes came by to see Class 1-A and essentially declare war on them when it came to competing in the Sports Festival, but Hound Dog had shooed them away as he collected Asui and sent Izuku to see Toshinori himself. The Symbol of Peace was concerned by what all harassment happened here, and he planned to ask Nezu about it. But from what all Toshinori had on the matter at the moment, it was nothing more than friendly (but fairly heated) sporty rivalry.
As such, it was with that thought that Toshinori sent Izuku back to his classmates. The Symbol of Peace felt confident that things were going to be fine, and that there would be no need for any worries. However, he was proven wrong, and in a rather heartbreaking manner, when he got home later that evening, arriving a few moments before Izuku who went separately got home. There was a look of heartbroken worry on Izuku's face, and Toshinori feared that something had happened, but Izuku when asked said he'll talk about it during dinner.
Toshinori hoped it wouldn't be too bad.
"My classmate Asui lost both of her parents in the recent massive traffic accident on the highway to UA."
Both Toshinori and Inko were shocked by what Izuku had just told them. Even the worst thing Toshinori could have imagined (a girl turning Izuku down) paled in comparison to the news that the Tsuyu girl had just been orphaned. Izuku further went on to say that not only are Mr. and Mrs. Asui both dead, but that missing child reports had been issued for Tsuyu's little siblings as both are unaccounted for. Inko had actually cried when she had learned what all had just befallen one of her son's classmates at school.
As for Toshinori, this was something that had utterly blindsided him. This had NEVER come up in the alternate timeline. But then again, Asui was one of the ten students killed in the alternate timeline's USJ attack. The Symbol of Peace supposed that Tsuyu surviving here allowed for learning what had happened in the accident that was caused by the villain that Endeavor had fought. Toshinori planned to look into the matter of Tsuyu's missing younger siblings, devote what all he could allocate to finding two young kids who were bound to be hurting over losing their mom and dad.
After swallowing a mouthful of food, Toshinori asked, "Do you know of any arrangements that Young Asui has made for living?"
"Actually, Ochaco's family have already taken Asui in," Izuku said, "And they vowed to also take in Asui's younger siblings when they are found." Izuku then explained that Mr. and Mrs. Uraraka are helping with handling all arrangements for Tsuyu, such as covering funerary expenses for her parents, there were plans to set up a Butsudan Buddhist alter in a room at the Uraraka family mansion for Tsuyu's parents, and the Urarakas were even going to help with all of the packing and moving and what-not that was going to be involved.
Toshinori, although his heart ached over the ordeal Tsuyu was going through, was glad that the Urarakas were stepping up to help Tsuyu out when she needed it the most. They truly were goodly people. It made the Symbol of Peace feel all the more proud of them, made him all the more glad that he had held a hand out to them to help them up so many years ago in the current timeline. And their daughter Ochaco, although notably more well-fed in this current timeline than she was in the alternate timeline, was proving that she also was of goodly nature.
It filled Toshinori's heart up to see that it's not just Izuku proving to have a hero's heart.
The next two weeks flew by as the students of UA who were making plans to enter the Sports Festival trained and readied themselves to compete on one of the grandest stages the hero academies of Japan had to offer. Toshinori, however, didn't focus too much on how the students were doing, as he was hyper-focused on tracking down the mist villain, the only villain from the USJ attack here in the current timeline to escape. Regardless of timeline, he had been able to get away, and Toshinori was fully intending to make sure he didn't get away again.
To this end, he called in a favor to an old friend of his, a top ranking pro hero from the United States of America. Cathleen Bate, known in her home country as the pro hero Star and Stripe, was a tall and physically imposing woman, essentially a female version of Toshinori himself when he's in his All Might form. He told Cathleen the details about the mist villain and asked her if she would be able to help him track him down and bring him in, as he has a lot to answer for given his role in the recent attack on the USJ.
Toshinori had recalled that he also called Cathleen in to help out during the events of the alternate timeline, but he never saw her again after he essentially sent her off to help with the search for the mist villain. Toshinori still sent her off to help, but stressed to her to be careful and not get in over her head. Cathleen assured All Might that she would be fine, that only All Might himself would be able to bring her down. The top ranking American hero then rushed off into Japan, eager to help the top pro hero of Japan with his task.
The Symbol of Peace had to be confident that Cathleen would be alright, and prayed that she'd be able to track down and defeat the mist villain. As for Toshinori himself, when he had the spare time he looked into trying to locate the missing kids. It pained Toshinori to know that two kids, ones so young at that, were now all alone in the world, separated from the only family that they had left after their parents were both killed in the accident caused by the villain that Endeavor had fought on the highway on the way to UA.
Speaking of little kids now all alone in the world, it was during the time leading up to the UA Sports Festival that Eri had landed in the lap of the pro hero teachers of UA. When she was found having been left in Nemuri's home, Eri told the story that Toshinori had remembered from the alternate timeline where they got Eri there. Eri had been in the hold of a villain called Kai Chisaki, who was taking blood from her to make special drugs based on how Eri's Rewind quirk works. Kai had apparently sought to use said drugs to control Japan to an extent.
However, while Kai and the rest of his brood were distracted due to the news report of the USJ attack and how there had been a death there (the same news report that didn't specify who exactly had died), a follower of Kai's, one Kendo Rappa, discovered what Kai had been doing with Eri, became rightfully disgusted, and secretly stole away into the night with Eri and every last dose of what all drugs Kai had made using Eri's blood. Rappa had eventually met up with a group of villains that was being formed, a group that Toshinori had dreaded would form here in this current timeline; Dabi's Crew.
According to Eri, all she saw when she was at a bar with Rappa was Rappa talking to Dabi, who was accompanied by two villains Eri described and Toshinori was able to realize were Spinner and Toga. Rappa then joined Dabi's crew, and Dabi had sent Spinner and Toga to leave Eri at a place that pro heroes were bound to find her at. As such, Eri had been left at Nemuri's home as Spinner and Toga broke in and left her there, telling her that the heroes will find her and be able to care for her. Toshinori wasn't sure, but he had a feeling that the villains were acting in good faith to do what was best for Eri.
And Eri showing up could not have occurred at a better time; a number of notable persons, as well as Sekijiro's student Tetsutetsu, had mysteriously been rendered quirkless, but thanks to Eri's Rewind, they were rewound back to the points of being they were respectively at prior to what happened. Due to being hyper-focused on both finding the mist villain and trying to locate the missing kids, Toshinori was actually blindsided by this. He instantly became alarmed, as he knew that many of the heroes whose quirks were lost and then restored had quirks that went into the prepping of Dabi's elite bodyguards in the alternate timeline.
The Symbol of Peace resolved to try and track down All For One, for he knew that most evil of bastards was behind all of this. But Toshinori also knew that if he acted too hastily, he could potentially scare All For One into hiding for longer. As much as he hated the idea, Toshinori felt that he may have to let things proceed as they did in the alternate timeline, at least in regards to confronting All For One, and only to the point where he could get that most vile of villains out in the open and do here what he'd done to him in the alternate timeline.
Something else Toshinori tried to look into was Lady Nagant, who was freed from Tartarus in the alternate timeline and had joined up with Dabi's Crew. Toshinori wasn't sure how the disgraced former pro hero had been freed, but he didn't want her freed a second time around. However, and to his piqued interest, Toshinori when he dug into the matter learned that Nagant had already been transferred out of Tartarus and to a villain's prison located overseas; Helheim, a villain's prison located over in the northeastern part of the United States.
Toshinori was relieved to hear it that Dabi's Crew will be denied a valuable member they had in the alternate timeline. That would make bringing them down all the more easy for the pro heroes. But Toshinori still couldn't rest on his laurels. All of hero society had to keep a vigilant eye out to stop villainy in its tracks. And it wasn't just the pros already serving to protect Japan from villainy; the students of hero academies, those training to be pro heroes in the future, had to give it their all as they worked on it to achieve the goal of helping to save the day.
And the first sign of that, at least from Toshinori's immediate range of view, would be the UA Sports Festival.
The day of the UA Sports Fesitval finally came, and Toshinori in his base form found a good place to watch things. He even sat with Tensei Iida, the pro hero Ingenium and the older brother of Tenya Iida. Tensei is one of the pro heroes Toshinori had recruited in his various side efforts here in the current timeline, although Tensei has no idea that All Might and Toshinori are the same guy. Toshinori recalled, in the alternate timeline, that by this point Tensei was cripplingly injured due to a fight with Stain the Hero Killer, but due to Tensei being involved with efforts here, the attack never happened.
Toshinori didn't even think about that, didn't realize he prevented a bad thing until it dawned on him when he and Tensei sat down in a VIP viewing room to watch the matches of the first years' fighting tournament. But he was nonetheless very happy that he had (albeit unintentionally) saved the older Iida brother. "Wow, your boss sure was able to get us some impressive seats, Yagi," Tensei remarked.
"Well he got it that my step-son and your little brother are both in the festival for their year here," Toshinori explained, "He said that he wanted us to be able to get a good view of it as we watched them do us proud."
"Ah ha ha!" Tensei laughed, his tone sincere and good-natured, "I can't recall one moment when my little brother didn't try to make me proud! He's a sweet kid, Tenya. A bit on the stiff side sometimes, which prompts me to have to tell him to relax, but he's still a good kid." Tensei's expression relented a bit, took on a bit of a somber hint. "...That said, it pains me on something of a personal level to have heard what Tenya's classmate Asui is going through in regards to her little siblings having gone missing. I would be besides myself with worry if Teyna went missing."
Toshinori nodded once in understanding, as the older members of a family often care about and fret over the safety and well-being of the younger members of their family. It was clear to Toshinori what it wasn't just him who wanted to do right by Izuku. Tensei wanted to do right by Tenya, Asui wanted to do right by both of her little siblings. Toshinori was willing to bet good money on it that Enji Todoroki, the pro hero Endeavor, was wanting to do right by his son Shoto who is in the same homeroom class as Izuku, Tenya, and Asui.
Nothing is stronger (or more important) than family, it would seem.
Anyway, by the time Toshinori and Tensei had gotten into their seats, the fighting tournament for the first years in the UA Sports Festival had been decided. There was a total of sixteen students competing, so it'd be a four round tournament with eight fights in round one, four in round two, two in round three, and one in the final round. The Sports Festival didn't occur in the alternate timeline, so seeing it occur here was another fact that made Toshinori feel all the more assured that the bad future was preventable here in the current timeline.
Toshinori, as well as Tensei, was amused to see it that both Izuku and Tenya were in the tournament. In order from first to last for round one, the fights would be Izuku versus Tetsutetsu, Shinso versus Yaoyorozu, Todoroki versus Sero, Ibara versus Kaminari, Bakugo versus Ochaco, Kirishima versus Mina, Fumikage versus Yugo, and then lastly Tenya versus Mei. The selection saw mostly students from Aizawa's homeroom of Class 1-A, but Toshinori spotted a few students from outside of the students under the guidance of the underground hero.
Two of Sekijiro's students, Tetsutetsu and Ibara, made it into the tournament. Toshinori was especially happy for Tetsutetsu as he's just recovered from having his quirk restored via Eri's Rewind; it was a reminder to the Symbol of Peace to look into tracking down Dabi's Crew to try and cut off their rise to power. There was also the Ibara girl under Sekijiro's authority, and she must be skilled if she was able to break into the tournament here. Toshinori also took note of Mei Hatsume, one of the students in the support course under Power Loader.
According to Power Loader, Mei is bar none one of the top students in the support course, but she is, as Power Loader had put it, a few picnics short of a sandwich. That told Toshinori that Mei is just one of those 'eccentric inventor' types. Still, Mei was one of the good guys, so some leniency on her less disruptive eccentricities ought to be considered for her. Toshinori also got it that Mei had reviewed the blueprints Power Loader made up for planning out the construction of Izuku's Air Force Gloves, and had expressed interest in seeing Izuku use them.
Perhaps after the Sports Festival. Right now, the first years' tournament was started. To Toshinori's delight, Izuku was able to win against Tetsutetsu via ring-out and advance to the second round, where he would fight whoever between Shinso and Yaoyorozu won. Already Toshinori felt his heart swelling with pride in his step-son, as he had just taken another step to becoming the fine pro hero that the Symbol of Peace knew he could become. But this was only the first round, and Izuku still had a lot to get through. But Toshinori was confident in him.
...
"This second match in the first round will see Hitoshi Shinso versus Momo Yaoyorozu!" Nemuri who was acting as a referee declared, "The match is over when one competitor is rendered unable to continue, or is put out of bounds, or yields! Now then!" Cracking the whip that she had brought with her, Nemuri yelled, "BEGIN!"
Yaoyorozu, looking at Shinso with a confident and amused look, said, "Well now, let's see how long you'll last before I-"
"Can I ask you something?" Shinso interrupted, "Why are you such a bitch sometimes?"
"Excuse me?!" Yaoyorozu shouted, "How dare y-" Yaoyorozu suddenly stopped short, a blank and spacey look on her face, as she simply just stood there.
Shinso gave off a smirk of his own, albeit a small one. "Turn around and walk off of the platform," Shinso said to Yaoyorozu.
Acting as told, the enthralled Yaoyorozu turned around and proceeded to walk away, eventually walking off of the platform. After she had walked off, Nemuri cracked her whip, and Shinso let off the brainwashing. "Momo Yaoyorozu is out of bounds!" Nemuri declared, "Hitoshi Shinso advances to round two!"
As the audience cheered for Shinso's win, Yaoyorozu who had regained her sense of self just realized she had been had. She was very much embarrassed, but kept to herself and sulked. Toshinori would later get it from Aizawa that Nemuri took issue with Shinso calling Yaoyorozu a bitch, but Aizawa had explained to Nemuri that Shinso's quirk sort of need him to get a target to respond; if taunting and insulting a person until they respond out of anger works, then so be it. It was, as far as the underground hero was concerned, a valid tactic.
...
The next couple of matches in round one flew by fairly quickly. Todoroki scored a solid win against Sero and as such advanced to round two. Toshinori had a feeling that Todoroki would at the very least make it past round one. After all, the two-toned haired boy had Endeavor as a biological parent. Interestingly enough, Toshinori saw that Todoroki had defeated Sero using only the ice half of his quirk; the Symbol of Peace got it that Todoroki's quirk let him use both ice AND fire. This was something that he was going to wanna look into.
The next match saw Sekijiro's other student in the tournament, Ibara, pull off a win against Kaminari. "Well it makes sense," Tensei commented when Toshinori spoke about Ibara's win, "That Shiozaki girl is a grass type, and the Kaminari boy is an electric type. Grass resists electric. But she'll be going up against an ice type who is part fire type supposedly in the second round, so she'll be facing an uphill battle."
Turning to look at Tensei, Toshinori said, "You... you play video games, don't you, Tensei?"
The next match in round one caught Toshinori's attention; Bakugo versus Ochaco. In the previous timeline, one was Toshinori's successor to the power of One For All, and the other had been killed in the USJ attack. Here, they were just randomly assigned to face one another. Toshinori and Tensei watched it from the VIP viewing room as Bakugo walked up onto the platform while Ochaco got onto the platform as well. Toshinori wondered how the match would go, given Bakugo here didn't have One For All, and Ochaco here weighed at least two-hundred and thirty kilograms.
It would be an interesting match to see.
END, CHAPTER SIX
Author's notes;
This (slightly longer than average for this story) chapter covers fallout from the USJ incident in the current timeline, where Toshinori taking preemptive action prevented any innocent deaths. However, despite how careful he is and how he goes about doing what all he can to prevent the bad future of the alternate timeline, there is STILL a bit of oversight. Case in point, the mist villain escapes, and signs are showing that Dabi's Crew is being formed. There's also Tsuyu losing her parents due to the traffic accident caused by a villain Endeavor had fought, and Tsuyu's little siblings had gone missing. They also get Eri, and she had proven to be a big help so far.
Toshinori makes finding the little Asuis a priority, but he has other things on his to-do list. He calls in some help from overseas, and even teams up with heroes local to Japan to help take care of everything. He even unintentionally prevents Tensei Iida's injuries at the hands of Stain the Hero Killer due to recruiting Tensei's help. They are able to put things on hold to watch the UA Sports Festival, and are amused with the matches. Toshinori especially so as Izuku won his first round match against the restored Tetsutetsu. The other matches go by, but the chapter ends before the match between Bakugo and Ochaco. How that match will go will be seen next time.
