Disclaimer: I do not own Danny Phantom.

Also, this story takes place during PP- before the asteroid hits but after Vlad reveals himself.

"Good morning students of Casper High. With all of the uncertainty and chaos surrounding our town's mayor, we have a lot to go over this morning," the principal stated to the sea of students, all eyes fixated on her.

"Oh man, this is about Vlad? This can't be good," Sam said, seated to Danny's right.

"Therefore, you will all be excused from the rest of your morning classes, which will not resume until further notice," she paused. "To give this presentation, we'll be bringing in Amity Park's own ghost hunters- Jack and Maddie Fenton!"

Sam and Tucker turned to Danny, who just put his head down, facepalming.

"Good morning, everybody!" Maddie Fenton waved as she walked up the stage. "Hi, Danny!" Maddie said, looking directly at Danny who was sitting in the front row. Danny looked up at them, sighed, and put his head down again, giving his forehead another smack.

"Now, before we begin-"

"Where are the Guys in White?" A student from the back of the assembly theater yelled.

At this, Danny shot his head up, a look of annoyance and fear settling on his face.

"Well, the Guys in White have some rather, uh, intense tactics, so in order to keep all the students calm, we brought in the Fentons instead," the principal explained.

"My parents? Calm?"

"Right, and Jazz is working at the Nasty Burger!" Sam threw both her hands up in a sarcastic manner.

"Now, please continue Mr. and Mrs. Fenton."

"As we were saying, we want to preface this presentation by saying that there is no need to panic about this situation. We have everything under control," Maddie explained to the Casper High students. "Although, we do think it is important that you are all able to defend yourselves. That is why we have decided to open ghost fighting lessons for all of you, as well as provide you with your own ecto-guns."

"Like the Fenton Annihilator!" Jack chimed in, beginning to pull a weapon out of a pocket in his jumpsuit.

"Jack, honey, what did I say about pulling weapons out in front of the students?"

"Save it for the ghost fighting classes," he put his weapon away, disappointment in his voice.

"How come you can't just put the ghost shield up and save all the trouble of training?" A student from the second row asked.

"That's a very good question, which brings me to my next topic," Maddie started. "As you all are aware of, Vlad Masters, the former town mayor, is half a ghost and half a human. Now, we don't know how that's possible, but since then, we have developed a new sensor that picks up abnormal ecto-energy similar to his. Through this new development, we have discovered another specter very similar in energy to the Wisconsin Ghost. We do not have confirmation on what ghost this is, but our sources lead us to one entity- Phantom."

Everyone in the audience gasped, and not soon after, they began talking amongst themselves, coming up with ideas of who the ghost's human counterpart could possibly be.

Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker were speechless. Their mouths hung open, and while Sam and Tucker were piercing their eyes into Danny's mind, Danny's gaze lingered on his parents on the stage.

Tucker was the first to find his voice. "Dude, this isn't good. You know they're going to be all over every kid in this school."

"What are we going to do?" Sam found the courage to ask.

"It's going to be very obvious if it isn't already that Phantom is about the age of the students," Tucker added.

"I-I know. I don't know," Danny finally spoke up. "I can't think about this until after this assembly's over."

"Do you have any suspects?" A blond-haired jock asked.

Maddie shook her head. "We don't have any leads on who Phantom might be, but we do suspect that he's about the age of you students."

"Which is why we have spoken with the principal, and classes will be suspended until he is caught and revealed. The only activity that will take place on school premises is our Fenton ghost hunting classes!" Jack added enthusiastically.

"Which will start tomorrow morning at 10:00 am. Until then, everyone will go home and rest. But first, are there any questions?"

"How are you so sure you're going to catch him?" A student who the Fentons knew as Valerie Grey asked.

"Good question, Ms. Grey," Maddie started. "We know Phantom is drawn to ghost attacks. When a ghost attacks, we'll go to the scene, capture him, and take him to our lab to interrogate him."

"Great," Danny murmured under his breath.

"And how are you so sure that'll work?" Valerie asked again.

"Because we're not going to be alone. We're going to assemble a team. A team of Casper High students."

I'm sorry this chapter is so short, but there will be a part 2! Stay tuned :)))
