Donna had been reliving the horrors of the evening since they rushed Harvey through the emergency room doors over 2 hours ago. She had yet to hear any news and felt utterly defeated and alone sitting in the waiting room. She had called Rachel soon after arriving to let her and Mike know what was going on. Rachel, hearing the despair in Donna's voice, had attempted to assure her friend that everything would be all right and to put Seattle out of their minds until Harvey was back to 100%. Although Donna had played along, Rachel could hear the skepticism and uncertainty in her voice; highly out of character for the confident and composed redhead. Next, she called Louis afraid of what he might do if he found out from an outside source. He had insisted on getting on a plane to Wyoming, but Donna assured him that wasn't necessary. It wasn't that she didn't want the company, she did; but any action taken would have made this whole nightmare feel more real. Instead, she asked him to let Jessica and Marcus know but to keep their friends at the firm in the dark unless his condition worsened. She shuddered at the thought of it coming to that. Louis obliged hesitantly before ending the call. Now she sat with her head in her hands; dehydrated from all the tears she had cried.

Just after 5 am, one of Harvey's nurses emerged through the double doors that separated Donna from her husband. "I'm looking her the family of Mr. Harvey Reginald Specter" she called out into the waiting room. Donna shot up and hurried over to the women. "Im his wife. Is he okay? When can I see him?". "It appears your husband suffered a mild cardiac event, likely due to stress. While we were in the Cath lab, your husband's heart stopped and our team provided CPR".span class="Apple-converted-space" /spanOh my god, this could not be happening. "Please…no…he can't be". Donna sounded like a shell of herself as her eyes tried to read the nurse's mind. The nurse lightly rested her hand on Donna's shoulder before continuing. "CPR was successful and the minimal injuries sustained during his attack were successfully corrected to return proper blood flow to his heart". Donna breathed a sigh of relief as tears began to roll down her cheeks. "Please, can I see him?", she pleaded. She had to inspect him with her own eyes to truly believe what she was being told. "Mrs. Specter, most patients don't regain consciousness for quite some time after an ordeal like this", the nurse scoffed lightly catching Donna off guard. "Your husband however was awake and demanding to see you within 20 minutes of leaving the procedure room. He even started threatening to sue the hospital!". A small smile crept across Donna's face. That was definitely her Harvey. "He is currently in room 206…". The nurse had continued speaking, probably trying to give her directions to his room, but Donna was flying through the doors before she had the chance to finish.

It took Donna no time at all to locate his room and she threw the door open. Her knees went weak as her eyes fell upon the man she loved and almost lost. Harvey was fidgeting with his IV line and had obviously just removed the sticky tabs connected to his heart monitor because the machine began to screech a flat tone. His deep brown eyes instantly met hers. "Donna, I'm so sorry. I was just coming to find you. I-". She had crossed the room to his bed and crashed her lips against his. Harvey's doctor and 2 nurses came barreling into the room, alerted by the machine that indicated their patient's heart had supposedly flat-lined. That couldn't be further from the truth. His heart had never beat so strong as he was reunited with the love of his life. After some time, Donna released his lips from hers and began to feverishly kiss his face. The doctor was speaking now but she didn't care. "I love you Harvey. I love you. I love you. I love you" she professed between kisses. "And don't you ever scare me like that again". "I promise" he whispered before kissing her back a final time as the staff forced them apart.

"Mr. Specter, we told you to leave the monitor alone. We need to keep an eye on that heart of yours to ensure there are no complications from the procedure". Dr. Blake was an older man with grey hair and a bushy mustache that added a grizzly sound to his voice. "And I told you that I would sign whatever paperwork you wanted to discharge me now", Harvey rebutted. "Harvey listen to your doctor. You could have died and I for one don't want to relive tonight's events if we can at all help it". Donna's voice was stern and Harvey looked away from the scolding. He felt immensely guilty for all he had put her through. The last thing he ever wanted to do was to hurt her, but today he felt he had inflicted enough trauma for a lifetime. Donna pulled the doctor aside to speak. "How is he doing Dr. Blake?", she asked with a light rasp in her voice from all the crying. "Your husband is surpassing all expectations, Mrs. Specter". Donna felt her muscles relax with his words, letting hope and thankfulness wash over her. "However, we would like to keep him for observation over the next 24 hours to ensure his recovery doesn't falter. If he experiences no more abnormal heart activity, we will discharge him first thing tomorrow with a monthly supply of blood thinners to help avoid any blockages while the stint we placed heals fully. Other than that, he just needs to take it easy". During their brief conversation, the nurses worked to reconnect all of Harvey's wires, much to his dismay, but he complied for Donna's sake. Harvey couldn't take his eyes off of his wife, her beauty unaffected by the night's events, as she shook the doctor's hand and the staff filed out of the room.

"So…?", Harvey raised an eyebrow and waited for Donna to fill him in. Instead, she shook her head and gave him the most pitiful glance. He shifted over in bed, wincing a little at the soreness radiating from his ribs, and motioned her over. Donna crawled onto the bed and curled against his body. Her left hand balled into a fist around the right shoulder of his hospital gown and her head rested in the left groove of his neck. Harvey tightly secured her against him with his right hand while stroking her hair gently with his left. For once that night, she didn't cry. Rather, she breathed him in and thanked God that he had come back to her. Soothed by each other's touch, they fell asleep.
