"Good point, I mean, if anything, it's only the Parker family that really needs that sort of wish now rather than me and Skyler. I don't know about the Watsons, but we're okay as is for the time being.", George explained.
"And it might be a bit suspicious if, say... like all three of our families won the lottery all at once.", Peter pointed out. "Last thing we'd want is for the IRS or the feds to think we've rigged something.", he chuckled.
Genie nodded, "That's very true. I can do the nearly indestructible, resilient thing for you kiddos, and for the Parkers, I can do that now, and for the Watsons, I can do it to happen within 5 years...After that, five years by then for you and George...Is that alright?".
"That's perfectly fine with me.", George smiled. "Hell, even with comfortable wealth... I think I'd still see myself on the force all those years down the line.".
"Yeah, probably commissioner and stuck behind a desk all day.", Gwen chuckled. "Hey, I wouldn't mind that, certainly less of a risk on that job. Worse case is I get a bad papercut.", George joked.
Skyler smiled, "Or you can still try out for mayor.", and George chuckled, "You know what, I'll give it a go, in a few years...After all, I'd have to work on being commissioner for a while before I could be mayor, since it's a class ladder of sorts.".
Peter chuckled, "Mayor George Stacy...That's a really nice ring to it.", and Gwen smiled, "Yep. Suits you, dad.". George smiled, and Skyler nodded at Genie, "Alright, have at it. You know what to do, Genie.", with a smile.
Genie nodded as he cracked his fingers once more, "Okay then, this will be a bit tricky for the first half of that, but I think I can handle that.". Genie flew up to Gwen before yanking a hair off her head.
"OW! Hey! You could've asked!", Gwen could already guess what he was planning with that hair, especially when he suddenly looked like an Einstein version of himself. He then made a whole small lab appear and then what looked to be a grade school chemistry set before he got to work.
"Pretty sure he doesn't have a doctorate.", Peter whispered as Gwen then chuckled, "Maybe... but hey, if he can take years off my dad, I think he can figure what makes me tick and carry it over to you three, easy.".
Jean then replied, "Don't forgot that he got thousands of years in being a genie...I'm sure he saw so many things we couldn't even imagine...", and Jasmine smiled softly, "Even so, having seven lives while being like you, Gwen, it would be...incredible...".
Gwen blinked, "Jesus, I haven't thought of how long my people would have lived with a sun like this...", widening her eyes, and Peter kissed her on the cheek, "Hey, being like you would mean that we're all together with you forever so you won't have to be alone...".
Gwen took a deep breath at just how huge the implications there would be, "Sorry, just... that's quite a bit to take in... I mean, I always kinda thought that maybe I would still be pretty spry and still feel like a teen even when I'm 90, but... who knows how long my original race could last on Earth...".
"Maybe we'll only be as long lived as the NĂºmenĂ³reans from Tolkien's work. That's still quite a few centuries.", Jean smiled. She had fun reading with Jasmine, and the others on the series.
Jasmine then joined in, "And we'll always have Agrabah, New York City, and the world...Heck, maybe be heroes in different cities every 50 years or whatever, and call it that we're our own children, which would be kind of weird, but would work either way.".
"That's true.", Peter nodded as Genie looked like he was done with whatever he was attempting to do with three bubbling test tubes.
"Okay, this will do the trick.", Genie said. "Won't really do much in terms of all the powers that Gwen there has, but certainly will incorporate certain things like her imperviousness.".
Jean chuckled, "Brilliant. Are we going to drink those, or have them infused into our bloodstream?", and Genie smiled, "Those are drinks...Now, I have to warn you, it's a bit like medicine, but instant, so expect them to have like that...what was it called? Oh, yeah, DayQuil taste a bit. So, different than your pop's de-aging potion.".
Gwen nodded, "Makes sense...Medicine is a boost for sick people, and this is a boost for Jean, Peter, and Jasmine.", and Genie nodded before snapping his fingers, and three empty cups appeared on the fountain slabs, "The fountain water is pure. But give the bubbling drinks a minute before you can wash your mouths.", as he gave the trio of Peter, Jean and Jasmine the test tubes.
"Any of you ever used up a whole bottle of NyQuil? It doesn't taste good, let me tell you...", Peter warned, remembering when he was 12 and the really terrible illness he caught. If that fever wasn't a sign at first of how his body practically was starting to already fail him in many ways... thankfully, that was all in the past thanks to that spider, he was better than ever.
"Well, at least it's not something we have to keep doing... just one brief moment of tasting probably what could be described as liquid death and then we'll be on par with Gwen.", Jean said.
Skyler looked at Genie in alert, remembering Jasmine's pregnancy, and Genie mouthed, "Harmless yet good to the babies.", and Skyler then looked relieved, nodding, as the teenagers didn't see the exchange of words.
Jasmine smiled, "Cheers?", raising her bubbling drink, and Peter and Jean smiled, echoing her, "Cheers.", dinging their bubbling drinks together before going for it.
A few moments and all of them were practically on the verge of vomiting, and certainly gagging quite a bit. "Holy shit, that's terrible!", Jean cursed as she was trying to keep it down.
"I take it back... I'd rather chug down the NyQuil...!", Peter groaned. Jasmine herself was fighting the urge to vomit, feeling a tumble in her belly, unknowing that her four little growing kitten-children is happily enjoying it, though they are a week old as of such.
After a few moments, the urge to puke was dying down though the horrible taste was still lingering for a bit before the trio went for the water to at least rinse it away.
Jasmine sighed in relief as she drank the water, feeling better as the bitter taste went away at last, "That was definitely one of the most awful things I ever tasted on my list.", and Peter replied, "Ditto.", agreeing with her, and Jean muttered, "Agreed.", before glancing at Gwen, "See anything different now?".
Gwen gave a small smirk as she chuckled, "Well, to be honest, not really much of a difference but certainly can hear that some things are a bit off from before... off in a good way, of course."
Peter replied, "Like our bones are stronger?", and Gwen nodded, "That, along with plenty of healthy organs, and all of your skin is pretty much impenetrable.".
Jasmine smiled widely, "That's great!", and George chuckled, "That makes me have peace of mind for all of you.", before taking the lamp gently from Skyler, and looked at Jasmine, "You sure you don't want the lamp?".
Jasmine exhaled deeply, "I would want the world to have peace and all, but that means people couldn't have struggles and all to grow to their fullest extent, to reach their potential to do something...".
"Hmm... never really thought of it that way... I suppose you're right.", George said. He then took a deep breath. "Still... maybe you should take it for one wish... you know it would be the same one I'd give.", he reminded as Jasmine's mind clicked at what he was thinking. What Aladdin would've probably wished for with his last one...
Jasmine smiled and nodded, taking the lamp from George gently, and glanced at Genie, "You ready?". Genie grinned at her, "Yep, go for it, Jasi. Whatever you got, I got it!", cracking his neck with a chuckle.
Jasmine took a deep breath, "Genie, I wish for you to be free and be human at will.". Genie's eyes widened upon hearing that. He knew that Aladdin would've probably wished for that with his last had he lived... but to hear it now... he barely registered himself being freed from his servitude to the lamp.
Everyone smiled in awe and delight to see Genie looking shocked as his golden cuffs came off, his wisp tail into legs, and the lamp fell to the ground, dull and tarnished.
Genie whispered softly, "I'm free...I'm free...", before seeing everyone smiling at him, and he gave a small laugh before it came into full-belly laughter, "I'M FREE!", going into all kinds of overjoyed motions.
"I've never seen a prisoner have a more excited reaction to freedom before.", George admitted as Gwen chuckled, "Yeah, well, I don't think a prisoner's been imprisoned for as long as he has...".
George chuckled, "Touche.", as Genie hugged everyone happily, "Thank you, thank you! I'm free at last! Oh, I really gotta check out the world! I can go anywhere!", snapping his fingers, and a suitcase appeared as he packed it up, "I can go ride the Ferris Wheels in any fair, I can go explore the outback, I can play with the penguins, and I-I, oh, ", before realizing that he'd miss Jasmine and the others...
Jasmine smiled softly, "It's alright, Genie...You know you can return any time, and you know, since you have knowledge of kingdoms, literally, you can always have a position on my board of advisers...I am never going with a grand vizier ever again...".
"Good call.", Peter said as Jasmine chuckled, "Still, offer remains, but for the time being, Genie, if you wish to explore the world and enjoy your freedom to your heart's content, you can go right ahead. It is, after all, the least any of us can do for you after all you've done.".
Genie smiled warmly, "Oh, Jasi, I'm gonna come back for your ceremony as Sultana, that's a promise.", hugging Jasmine deeply, and Jasmine chuckled, "That'll happen on New Year's Eve...".
Jean nodded, "Fitting. New start.", and Genie grinned, "Mind if I take Abu and Carpet?", and Abu chattered excitedly, and Carpet clapped his tassels.
Peter blinked, "How could that be possible?", and Genie chuckled, "I may be a semi-phemeonal genie, but I can put an illusion on Abu, when people see him, he's a pet dog or cat, and Carpet, he's practically invisible to the world as the part of making this island of Agrabah hidden from the world affects all magical things. Only sorcerers can see him beside me and Abu, beyond Agrabah.".
"Well, you won't run into many, that's for sure.", Jean said, "Maybe one might take an interest, but I doubt Dr. Strange will bother as long as you're not causing much trouble.".
"Trust me, I won't give the 'magic police' a reason.", Genie grinned. Peter then replied, "What about the comfortable aspect of the other wish?", and Genie chuckled, "Got your folks a winning ticket for the lottery. They'll be surprised soon, in a couple of days.", with a wink.
"I suppose they will be...", Peter said as Genie smiled. "Don't worry, no one was going to win the next draw, I'm not stealing it from anyone.", Genie assured him of any twinge of guilt he might feel.
Peter nodded, and George smiled, "Hey, Genie, how could you like to start your vacation in New York City? Say, attend our second wedding?", and Skyler widened her eyes, "George...".
George smiled, "It's Christmas Eve yet I'm sure churches are open...Will you marry me once more, Skyler?". Skyler blushed as she thought about it, "Sure you don't want to do some planning there? Make it more of the sort that many dream of?".
George chuckled, "If it's impromptu or planned, I don't mind... all I want to do is be next to you at the alter and say, 'I do' and I would be happy.".
Skyler smiled warmly, "Then I will marry you once more, my captain.", kissing him on the lips happily. Genie squealed excitedly, "Let's get you lovebirds hitched!".
Jasmine hugged Rajah, "I will be back soon, okay? I will get some lamb chops for you.", and Rajah purred. They all headed back into the palace, to the portal doorway, and after giving Rajah rubs, the rest stepped into the warehouse 2nd floor hallway, with Genie touching the wall, with another lever hatch, with labels 'Off' and 'Agrabah'.
Genie replied, "This is invisible to any daring burglar, not that they'd get that far thanks to you kiddos, and it's only keyed to all of us in this warehouse.", as he pushed the lever upwards, turning off the portal.
Gwen grinned, "Smart.", before glancing at George, "Should you go to a jewelry shop first, and get a set of rings?", knowing that he threw his first wedding ring out after his ex-wife left him.
"Oh, George...", Skyler smiled as she kissed his cheek as he smiled. "Well, if we're going to do this again, I think we should do it right... not that the first time wasn't.", George rubbed the back of his neck as he got a bit nervous with what he said there, slightly embarrassing himself.
Skyler giggled, "Hey, we couldn't blame Agrabah for being old-fashioned and being a lot of Arabic and Muslim there, and within time, Agrabah will catch up, but yes, doing it right sounds perfect to me...even if it's impromptu.".
Jean then grinned, "Then let's have a girls dinner party/bridal fitting!", and Jasmine nodded happily, "Yes!", and Gwen chuckled, "Good thing that I'm a quick fashion designer by nature.".
Peter then chuckled, "Then we boys will go to the ring shop, and pick up your uniform, George, from your apartment, and some takeout on the passthrough.".
"Sounds like a plan then.", George smiled as he looked back to Skyler. "You alright if we part ways for a little bit? I know it's a bit of the first time that's happened...".
Skyler smiled warmly, "I'll be fine, George.", kissing him on the cheek, whispering lowly into his ear, "At least we don't have to wait too long to be together as one...".
George blushed, smiling, realizing what she meant by that, happy to see her becoming bold even if she's confident, shy, and loving with him already, and he nodded, kissing her on the cheek.
And so, both sides of the group split off to do their plans, with the boys taking George's civilian car which needed gas first, lasting for a couple of hours, and luckily, with the computer being informative, a small and romantic church is found, open thankfully for Christmas Eve today.
The boys went to the church after completing their plan, with Genie as human, and George went to ask the pastor of the church, and to his joy and happiness, the pastor accepted to do the ceremony, and Peter texted Gwen that they can come now, in Jean's car.
"You doing alright?", Peter asked George as he nodded, pacing a bit. "Yeah... alright, just... a bit nervous, that's all.", George said as Peter smirked, "Was it that bad in Agrabah? Seemed to have gotten through that fine.".
George shook his head, "No, it wasn't bad...It was wonderful, and Cassim, he knew what to say and ask in the ceremony...I guess I wasn't nervous before since I suppose I was saving that anxiety for the whole thing with Jafar...And now after winning today among losing some important people, and doing those wishes...God, alright, I am very nervous...I haven't been married here in New York City for so long since, and this...I wish I had asked Genie to erase my memories of the ex-wife...or something...I don't want Skyler to think that she's second place, you know?".
"Hey, look, I can't say I've got anything in terms of experience with this sort of thing...", Peter admitted. "I mean, I've never been married or anything, but I would think that was a bad idea to erase the memories of your ex. Look, I know she left a mark, but let's be honest, you wouldn't have been the person you were today because of it. You wouldn't be a father to Gwen, and you certainly wouldn't have ever met Skyler.", Peter pointed out.
George widened his eyes, exhaling, having never thought of it that way before...He was right...George wouldn't have found Gwen if he wasn't camping up there, and he would have been stuck in a rut or something in that marriage...He would never have learned that family is important, or that he was supposed to balance his job and his life...He would never have met Peter, Jean, and Jasmine, finding a place to belong, and he especially wouldn't have met Skyler...a remarkable women who taught him that being affectionate in company was worth more in a relationship than telling lies and being overworked...
Or that right now, he wouldn't have been here in a church, with Peter as his best man, to be married once again...George looked at Peter with a smile, "For being 17, you are remarkably wise beyond your years...".
