Hikari amusingly chuckled as Hilary narrated her yesterday's experience with her senior crush, or more precisely an undying senior love, at her home, discussing medical exhibition project outline and ideas.
"Okayyy, I'm beginning to think that Tyson was jealous of our dog pet. Because you gave no rest from showering your love on him which you absolutely don't flaunt on Tyson."
"What?" Hilary shivered, "You really think so?" She timidly laughed.
"I'd an awesome day at Kai's place. It's so easy with him. He gives so much space and at the same time he listens whatever I say and mostly agrees on it. I was so comfortable with him." Hikari smiled undeniably.
"Good for you. And here I'd Tyson who doesn't give a rest to make me blush or get me nervous." Hilary sighed, "I l-like him but he's too dominating and damn confident, almost gets me under him."
"That's because you're too soft for him. Actually you deserve a softie like Kai," Hikari giggled. Hilary choked, "Shameless creature."
"Haha," Hikari chuckled, rolling in her seat as their car reached the varsity.
"Ohhh, and just as to remind you, today we have the blood donation day." She whispered teasingly. Hilary froze as soon as she strode out of the car.
"Hey Lydia!" Hikari waved.
"Mariah is not well today, she's at home." Mariam added as she passed by, chirping some tune. Hilary sure thought that Max must given her some good note to hum on.
"So Hils, you're on first on list for getting blood donated today." Salima smiled.
"Aha, this is interesting." Lydia nudged her while Hikari was bated to hear more.
"Actually," Lydia continued,
"Tyson's blood group matched perfectly with yours, so he will be the one donating blood to you in afternoon session." Salima warmly smiled. Hilary's jaw hung down. She gasped out ghastly and felt her throat go dry.
"His...his blood?" She gulped, almost halting in her steps as they walked through the expanse near lockers.
"Just imagine," Hikari simpered vibrantly, "His own blood, which used to run in his own body, in his veins will be running inside you!"
"Aww!" Lydia smirked joyfully. Salima softly giggled.
"This is too good to imagine. I can't," she breezily mumbled and Hikari almost heard her.
"You two totally make a sweet couple," Salima remarked before leaving for her block.
"Yeah like, we should totally lock you two in a tiny room with a romantic movie to watch alone." Mariam said flippantly.
"That would lead to beautiful consequences." Lydia laughed out so happily that Hilary thought she'll freeze right there imagining things. She was blushing uncontrollably at their words.
"Anyways see you guys." The senior girls left with smiles waving off.
Hilary fought hard to ignore their thoughts. 'He's my senior. If he comes to know they talk like that about him, he'll definitely kick me out from his life, first, spare ragging.'
So guys, are you ready?" Hiro rolled up his sleeves as he lifted a call, entering into Stereo Heart's personal room in the break, while answering the call on Fae.
"Yeah they're just coming, are the recipients in?"
"Cool."
"We are ready, we were just warming up." Tyson said as he finished his pizza while Kane was done exercising and flaunting his well built muscles. While Kai and Tala were leaning across the wall.
"Is it that Tala is determined to hear what happened with Hikari and Kai last day?" Zeo blinked.
"I don't think Kai will say a word to us," Ray said,
"I know what happened," Max teased,
"Fill me up, yo Max!" They sauntered across the expanse of garden and small office as they walked to the ground beside their football's one.
Kai gave a bare glare to Max knowing that he's just teasing.
"Okay guys, Tyson, Kane, Kai and Tala. You will be donating first." Hiro instructed and clearly instructed them to be seated on the rows allotted for donors.
The ground had built multiple tents where cross transfusion tests were instantly done and big round circle of chairs crowded in the middle with cards for recipients as they were called at counters lined with a small bed and chair with physician at each counter for the donation.
Max and Zeo surreptitiously giggled and Tyson heard that he was talked about. Even Kane was curious now. Ray only smiled unsurely.
"What is it?"
Even Kai cracked now, "Amazing,"
"What's Amazing Kai?" Tyson barely laughed.
"You're so clueless, aren't you?" Ray added,
"Tyson, do you've any idea whom your blood is gonna be donated to?" Max patted him from back.
"Doesn't matter," he shrugged, still clueless.
"It's one and only, our sister in law." Zeo and Max chirped and Tyson took a second longer to decipher what they implied.
"Hilary?" Tyson blinked, bewildered.
"Yea baka," Kane cleared his throat, "Hilary."
"Your blood group matches with her, flawlessly." Tala remarked, "See even the antigens of your blood are friendly,"
"But you're baka, you just rag." Max pinched him softly.
"Ouch. I didn't know this!" He whined and growled.
"But isn't that sweet Tys?" Max smiled.
"I guess," he wasn't sure.
"Tyson come here!" Fae called. Hilary was already prepared and her eyes were lowered at her wrist, skin burning in embarrassment already. It wasn't the fear of needle but Tyson's reaction itself.
"Hey there, partner." He teased, as he folded his sleeve and the nurse connected the needle into his vein on that beefy arm. Hilary looked away from his muscly arms which were hardening as the tourniquet was tied and he was absolutely calm while the process was going on.
"Hello Tyson." She smiled softly, trying to push off her nervousness aside.
"Sir. Okay?" He raised a brow and reminded sternly.
"Uh yeah, sir." She squirmed at his next remark that followed, "Good. Now when a part of me practically runs inside your body, you'll never forget. Or maybe you'll blush even more. RIP tomatoes!" He laughed relentlessly and she burned down here. Red.
As the nurse sighed at his antics, and withdrew the needle and bandaged him, he pulled down his sleeve, still laughing heartily, "Did I tell you my favourite vegetable is tomato? Juicy one."
"What!" She squirmed and looked away.
"And sweetheart you look just like tomato at times," he smiled amusingly, looking at her deeply for a moment; she forgot to get up, dazed momentarily. He cracked, realizing that she wouldn't break the eye contact, he himself held her hand and pulled her up in swift ride, "There you go," he beckoned her to walk to her friends and clear the space on side-bed.
She nodded, a small smile blooming on the corner of her eyes.
"Now that you've got my blood, you owe me something too." He winked at her with thumbs up, sauntering to his friends confidently.
As he walked back to his friends, he noticed that only Zeo and Max were lazing around, rest all were donating blood.
"Guess it went cool." The blonde teased,
"And by your vague blushing, I'm putting it, it went too good." Zeo added.
"Yeah," he whispered sweetly, her little smile not getting off his mind.
He had messaged her to meet him on terrace before leaving college premises. Because she wouldn't get a rest from teasing from her friends and that they had free periods for the rest of the day, she had spend time completing the outline of their project and plotting the ideas.
It was 3.05, time to leave and she noticed his message. Her face sparkled, and before she even said a single word, Lydia and Hikari whistled, smirking off badly. She gulped, "I've to go." She took the folder and barrelled against the students, smiling all way surreptiously to the terrace. Empty and large.
She frowned. He wasn't there? It was 3.10.
Suddenly he came running up storming out.
"Woah, I am a tad late." He heaved, gasping in and out for breath.
"Oh." She nodded, her hands fumbling in a swift second as his hands casually touched hers and she messed up the folders, causing it to drop down and the papers flew by, a gush of wind swaying wildly momentarily, causing her brunette bangs to flutter across her cheeks, loosening a button of her tee as she stiffened to kneel and pick up the sheets. He hurried too, crouching down and picking up sheets that were swaying wildly.
"Oh. This is not good!" She shuffled around and picked the last paper to which his hand caught. They looked at each other momentarily as his hand was wrapped around her slender wrist,
He frowned at her. 'Why the fuck was she so stunning?' He frowned even more deeply as her bangs continually played across her forehead, obscuring his vision to behold her ruby eyes. His frown dissolved and he remembered that this moment was already over in his dreams. He was purely staring her. He squatted with one of his knees to lock the paper on the ground that they were holding, leaning in and pushing aside her hair, softly cupping her cheek.
She forgot to blush, too enthralled by his magnetism. She leaned in, nose inches apart. He heaved out a soft bated breath, not wanting by any means to let go of this chance. He slowly nuzzled on her side of cheek, breezily melting his chapped lips across her peach skin for a moment. She lowered her gaze, grazing her own fingers across his stubble on jaw.
Her touch burned him right there. He breathed in loudly and slow.
"Damn."
She pulled away shortly and so did he.
"Now..." he got up and she stood up, dusting off her jeans, "I-I completed the outline sometime back. You should check it out once I guess."
"Yeah I'll." He said, still holding both her hands which he has been since she got up.
Her mind was jammed between the folder and the paper at their feet and his hands that were genuinely holding hers. His were calloused and rough, hers were softer than his own pillow, cool and smooth.
"Getting late, huh Hils?" He asked.
"I don't remember the time." She said what was straight in her mind, a strange satisfaction occupying her as he gave her a nickname. The wind around circled, scurrying off the bare dust.
"I don't either." He left her left wrist and picked the folder, "I'll have a look at home."
"Bye."
"You owe me something too, but I'll tell you later."
She nodded, biting her lip.
He reluctantly left her other wrist and she reluctantly walked away, feeling his gaze bore into her back all the way till she was no more in his deep sight.
It's Saturday afternoon, everyone is excited for the weekend after the tedious week that went through.
Stereo Hearts qualified the final round of musical competition yesterday. Tyson has picked up an extra song to perform as solo, on song "Perfectly Perfect" after the entire group performed on "All the stars". They earned huge applauds after their first performance but there was more squealing, tumultuous uproar of cheers when Tyson performed solo, especially when he said that this song is dedicated to someone. The audience was uncontrollably upbeat, and his announcement caused even more of cheering mayhem. Sprinkling charms everywhere with his masculine deep breath-taking voice, strumming his guitar fleekly, smiling up at audience, wearing a black tee and black jeans, he rocked the entire competition.
He didn't receive the end of teasing from Kane and Max and almost everyone else from his group after they claimed the trophy. He have been charged guilty for dedicating that song to Hilary to which he has been chuckling nervously all time, not daring to admit that yes, he indeed has sung that song for Hilary. He had been doing that often these days. Unplanned written songs in his notes, dedications in canteen almost daily, getting cokes for his worked up throat, running faster than Kane in football matches, laughing at Zeo's waggish implications, Max teasing Hilary as sister in law.
Hilary almost get sweating periods when he blasts his voice in canteen, it has been becoming too good to handle. Plus that delectable confidence, as if he knows that that she should know that it's dedicated to her, by default.
Last even evening, when Hikari was showering, Hilary received his call and he has asked her to come on terrace. She was thrilled to bits. Courageously, she ran upstairs to the empty large and dark terrace. She was scared by darkness, always. When she reached there, she gulped down every bit of anxiety, before Tyson finally showed up and gave her a relaxing hug. She had hugged him back in the moment, her heart softly slowing down, getting accustomed to the darkness lit by bare moonlight and few stars scattered in the dusky sky. She was in her night dress, loose yet comfortable. When he retreated, she smiled. But he had laughed at her for being scared by darkness. She snorted but he dismissed.
"Should be more bold, Hils. This is no biggie." He smirked. She nodded, and looked at the sky. She had wanted to take a good look at the vast expanse of sky spread above her, since this was one of the rarest nights she was on terrace, peaceful and quiet, but dark. But since he has been here, she has forgotten her wish. But when he was not talking, just holding her hand and teasing her and staring her without a break and unease, she was little overwhelmed. She couldn't stare at him longer. She always looked around to make sure that she was doing fine and confident to minimal. She didn't want make herself blush, or in Tyson's language, juicy tomato.
He had brought her a gift, he pulled out a small box. It was much similar to a ring box, velvet coated. Or say, it had a semblance of a propose ring box. So naturally, she stared at him in joys, stepped slightly closer, gave a small vivacious smile, her demeanour perked up. When he opened the box, it wasn't a finger ring. She peered at a shining dot of stone that was present.
"What is it?" She asked, still staring at the stone.
"Nose ring; uh stud I suppose." He shrugged. She opened her mouth to laugh out, this was so cute and exciting. She had got her nose piercing after receiving his donated blood, and she has been wearing the twig for few days now. She had wanted to get a nose ring but she kept on forgetting. What made her heart bubble up was the fact that he noticed her nose piercing, like obviously everyone else did in girls group, but him noticing it was not in her expectation list, and now that he made a conscious effort to get her a nose stud that would bedeck her slender sharp nose, she felt very elated.
"Thanks," her cheeks dimpled as she smiled, resisting the blood rush.
"So, wear it?" He asked, forwarding her the box. She wasn't sure how exactly it was worn but since he'd asked her, she was sure going to give it a try.
She discarded the twig and tried inserting the stud and locking the other end with the post. She resisted the urge to sneeze and sniffled slightly. He wanted to ask if she needed any help but she had then spun on her heels to fully face him and flash a cheery smile, flaunting his own gift.
For a moment, he was expressionless, as if wondering how she was undeniably the same girl he had been dreaming off, and he could remember the same smile she had given him long back in his dreams. Then flashed to reality, he smiled at her, more of smirked at her and instinctively nuzzled across the stud on her nose. Her hands held his during their brief tryst after which he withdrew.
"Looking pretty." He remarked, "But not too much." He cracked. She frowned at him but chuckled back. He wanted to ask her if she liked finger rings, not in proposal sense, but he imagined how cute her fingers would look in them, but the moment was broken with an angry Hikari glaring them from the terrace door.
"I'm hungry! Dinner!"
Tyson groaned, for breaking their moment while Hilary jumped out of her skin practically. She was almost on the verge of asking Tyson of what he had wanted her to do as payback for donation. She knew he hasn't forgotten it, but she was inquisitive the same. Nonetheless Hikari intervened scarily.
"Manners huh!" Tyson commented, before brushing off against Hilary's shoulder as he traipsed off.
"You could have waited for tomorrow, brother in law. Coming to terrace to meet her in night time, so restless you're!" Hikari's waggish tone and her words bristled Tyson momentarily.
"Restless? Wha-"
"What would have unfolded if I weren't here?" Hikari teased, Hilary stared at her sister unbelievably.
Tyson frowned at her. Then he winked at Hikari and replied back, "I can unfold anything even in your presence. Your sister is all mine." He could sense the anger coming out of Hikari in sheer sense of possessiveness for her sister.
Flash forward today, Saturday morning, Kane and Tyson has visited the first years block to inform them about the exhibition that was going to be soon in show and they were going to be packed for the next week.
Tyson has checked the files which Hilary had given him and with Hiro's help, he had completed half of the model plan that they planned.
'All mine. Huh?' Hilary breezily sighed as she strode out of Anatomy lab after performing the eyelid dissection today. His words non stop reverberated in her head, giving saturated doses of happiness all over again and again. Hikari has been pulling tantrums since last evening that how dare he claimed her. According to her, Hilary was first hers and then Tyson's.
Hilary gave her a doubtful look when Hikari has asked her twin not to meet Tyson to avenge her insult. But as luck wanted it to be, she clashed perfectly into Tyson when turned in the hallway to the other side from where he was coming. He had instinctively pulled her up in his arms snaked around her little waist when she had moaned in fright due to their clash. He looked at his own neck where her hands were crumbling his shirt which had held there seconds ago. She nervously left his shirt which beautifully yet unconsciously she had unbuttoned a button or two. Kane chuckled heartily at the scene.
"C'mon Tyson, please just tell her already." Kane smirked.
Tyson quickly left her but she'd anyway balanced.
"Uh he's saying to tell you that you walk very carelessly." Tyson rolled his eyes and Kane gasped, just like Hilary. Kane wanted to interrupt but his ears caught up Max's cheeky voice 'Sister in law' calling along with Zeo's on background. Hoping it was his girl, he darted upstairs.
"You should walk consciously." He folded his arms across his chest and lectured her.
"I wasn't-" Hilary was confused,
"Argh, give it a break. You shouldn't be day dreaming. Now, what you're?" He asked harshly.
"I-I wasn't day dreaming..." she stuttered,
"I asked what you're?" He reiterated,
She didn't understand. What was he asking? She stared at him, thinking fast, quick.
"Don't be dumb, you are a medical student now. You should concentrate. Even when you're not in lab or studying." He chided, the arrogance was felt, the sweetness which he had in his tone last night just disappeared.
"You're right, Tyson." She meekly nodded, feeling slightly disappointed.
"Arghh not again!" He grumbled, "How many times should I say you, its sir!" He glared at her. She defensively stepped away in the spur of moment.
Her nose reddened slightly, the nose stud shining more brightly. Tyson sighed. Maybe he just was too hard on her.
"Anyway, carry on-" he shouldered her carelessly, walking past.
"Sir, I'm sorry." She turned quickly and blurted immediately.
"Doesn't matter. Good luck ahead with the project. I want it all done by tomorrow." His voice got mixed up in pandemonium of canteen kids as he had walked a couple of steps away from her already. But Hilary had heard him distinctly.
Next week was eventful. Or maybe the entire month itself. There was exhibition, then prizes, and then college fest in which academic and sports prizes were given, and shortly after few weeks, there was Christmas. Hilary was excited for all of it. But her little encounter with Tyson got her mood ruined and pondering all till she completed the project that night itself, staying awake till 2 past midnight, not wanting anymore harsh words and scolding from Tyson.
She had re checked the model and everything multiple times, hoping he wouldn't find a flaw to criticize her. She didn't say a word about it to Hikari knowing how hot headed she is. She had made a mental note to always call him sir from now on. She had shed few stingy tears before falling asleep, thinking all over again about what happened in sadness.
The next morning, Tyson woke up begrudgingly as Hiro yelled from downstairs. He got up, slamming his alarm shut and the bathroom door. When he'd come out, and was rubbing his hair dry, his eyes caught the glimpse of his phone lying on the floor. He realized he had slipped it in his sleep in night when it vibrated. 'Was there any notification?'
He checked.
'I'm sorry for yesterday. Didn't mean to irk you.'
His eyes widened at Hilary's message. Which was at 2.14 a.m. 'Was she awake all till that time?' His brows knitted together as he tried figuring out, 'What the hell she was doing till that time? Thinking about me?' He wondered, airily chucking.
He had walked with Kai and Zeo this morning till his block arrived, narrating what all happened and the message he received. Zeo was unsure how to react but Kai gave a sharp glare to him, "I'll make sure Hikari learns this, so you'll have a good time then."
"What!" Tyson shouted, "You can't be serious! That twin is so unbearable. I can't handle your girl."
An anime vein popped at Kai's forehead 'My girl?'
"Handle your own girl first, respectfully though." Kai smirked,
Tyson groaned, but his eyes sparkled as he saw Hilary clumsily running to her block.
"I'll get to you! Catch ya later!" He stormed in her direction, with Zeo running behind him, "Hey wait up!"
Kane watched from behind as Tyson ran, "What's going on, Kai?"
"Hilary, for Tyson. Ever since quite time now." Kai clarified.
"Oh, did something happen?"
Hilary briskly opened her locker, searching for her notes. She had not seen them at home last night too. Or was she really forgetting things? Peers around were hurrying and she had to hurry up as well, they have Biochemistry lecture in five minutes.
Tyson finally caught up with her from some distance. He held his knees, panting and watched her. A sky blue shirt and black jeans covered her figure. Regal. A perfectly hasty bun to add, with similar studs of earrings!
He rolled his eyes and smiled jauntily, relentlessly running towards her, taking her by surprise and kissing her roughly on her side of neck, just below her ear stud, from back. She squealed in surprise, jumping away, heart pounding up!
"Tyson!"
But he was already gone in quick haste, as Max raced with him,
"It's sir for you, sweetheart!" He winked at her before disappearing completely.
Hilary groaned, with mix of anger and embarrassment. Her peers around chuckled at her, few winked others ignored and rolled their eyes.
