Authors note: Thank you for all the feedback. To sorta elaborate on the comment by Wilson Eloy I do plan on having Edward come back eventually I'm not really sure how, I'm open to ideas if anyone has any, at this point in time I'm not planning on having them get back together or to kill him off. For the nurse I was thinking of a career that take up a lot of time where she wouldn't have friends or much of a social life but then when I thought of nurse I was like Carlisle could help be able to do that again.

Bella's Pov

I did it was all I was thinking. I really did it. Carlisle did say I'd have to wait a month to be safe, which is fair. We were in the car about halfway home at this point. He finally broke the silence

"I will make sure our shifts aline at first just in case someone does happen. I don't think it will but if it does I will be there to stop it"

"It won't be sketchy if you do that" I asked. I don't want him to get in troubled because of me

"With how big that hospital is I doubt anyone will even notice" He paused

"You will need to find gold lenses. Your eyes will eventually be gold but not in a month"

I guess he didn't think I could do it when I was sent in with green ones. I never really thought about how long it took for their's eyes to turn gold. I just knew they did if they drank the blood of animals instead of taking human lives. They aren't weaker because of it like some things you see on tv. It is a bit weird how your diet determines your eye color

"I didn't realize it took that long. I guess I didn't really think about it either"

"It will probably be two or three months. It's your human blood still in your veins that is making your eyes red now but in a few months when you are drinking animal blood instead they will be gold" he paused

"Edward didn't really tell you much did he"

"It was on a need to know basis, he didn't want me to become this so I guess it wasn't need to know" I frowned after the words left my mouth

"Are you okay" he asked me

"I buried the hurt for so long that I convinced myself it was gone. It wasn't though I just pretended. I know now with what happened I'm going to have to see what happened. I'm hoping it's not soon but I know it'll happen eventually"

"I heard you the other day, it's not your fault Bella. We honestly all assumed he wouldn't be able to go more then a few months without running back to you. If I had known I wouldn't have let anyone leave. Being realistic Alice kept having visions of you becoming one of us, he probably wanted to try to stop that from happening. That does not excuse his behavior though"

"I haven't seen any of you in three years and somehow it still happened"

"Maybe somethings just are meant to happen" he said while giving a slight chuckle.
