Ten minutes later, Luz came out of the bathroom, wiping her mouth of any remaining vomit.

"Yeah... that was a weed killer potion." Eda said, "You need to wear a special mask while using it, and it's only used by Plant Witches."

"Now you tell me." Luz said, groaning a bit as she held her stomach. "Why don't you label your bottles more often if it's your main source of business?"

"I have a good memory about what I make. And King and Hooty know not to just sniff bottles randomly." Eda said, reaching into her hair and pulling out a bottle of water. "Here, this should wash that taste out of your mouth."

Luz took the bottle and drank it.

"Well, as long as you don't sniff the potions again, I think you can handle a simple potion run." Eda said.

"Okay but how would I know where to go?" Luz asked, finishing half the bottle.

"King will be your guide. He's done this for me before so he'll lead the way." Eda said.

"Weh?" King said.

"Don't "Weh" me. It's either you help Luz or you start paying rent." Eda said to him.

"But I haven't even had breakfast yet!" King shouted at Eda.

'Please don't let my birth family be like this.' Luz thought.

After a short argument and a surprisingly good breakfast made by Luz, the hidden triclops and small demon were off on their deliveries with a sack of potions in hand.

"Be back before sundown!" Eda said from the door.

"Have a nice trip!" Hooty said.

"Alright, let's go." King said.

"I'll follow your lead." Luz said, holding the bag over her shoulder as she followed him into town. "By the way, do you mind telling me a bit more about this place?"

"What do you want to know?"

"What families have long Potion history?" Luz asked.

"Seriously? That?" King asked her.

"What? I'm still curious about it." Luz said with a shrug.

"Yeah, yeah but I won't be able to help much. I don't know as much as Eda." King said to her.

"Damn."

"Just ask her some more when we get back. You can wait that long, can't you?" King asked her.

"Yeah, it's just... I'm so close to finding my real family." Luz said.

"I get that but you're so impatient. Some things take time, don't they?" King asked Luz.

"Aww, aren't you a little wise boy?" Luz asked him.

"I'm not a little boy!" King said.

"Yes you are!" Luz said cutely.

"I am 8 years old, I am not a little boy!" King shouted at her.

"Oh, you're so-"

Luz wasn't watching where she was going and bumped into someone.

"Watch it!"

Luz quickly straightened up as she looked at the person she bumped into, finding her to have three eyes like her original form did!

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." Luz said, adjusting the potions bag.

"Whatever, just look more carefully." Boscha said before sniffing the air. "Also, put tighter corks on those potions, they'll expire faster if you don't."

"Oh, uh, thanks, I'll let my boss know." Luz said.

'She has the potion nose.'

"Good." Boscha said before walking away.

Luz stood there for a good three minutes.

"Uh, you good?" King asked.

"She... she looked almost exactly like me." Luz said, "The only difference is my hair is more of a magenta red compared to my anthracite red."

"Yeah, so? It's kind of standard for some demons to say they look like other when they're completely different." King said, waving his hand around.

"King, take this." Luz said, handing him the sack, "I need to know more about this girl."

"What? What about the deliveries?!" King asked.

"We'll get back to them." Luz said, "I need to know."

Luz sprinted away, trying to find the girl.

"Luz!" King called out before tripping, trapped under the sack of potions.

Luz looked around for the girl, but couldn't find her anywhere.

'Where did she go?' Luz thought.

Luz groaned.

"The one person that might be able to help and I lost her!"

Luz began to walk away and... you guessed it... bumped into someone. This time, the girl was a bard, with black and silver hair.

"Oh, I'm so sorry." Luz said, "This is just not my day."

"It's fine, honestly, I'm having a bit of a day to." The girl said, "I'm Skara, and have you seen a girl with glasses wearing a plant track uniform?"

"Plant track?" Luz asked, seeing the clothes Skara was wearing.

"Yes. Cloths like mine but the sleeves and stocking are green." Skara quickly explained.

"It's kind of common knowledge, you homeschooled?" Skara asked.

"You... could say that." Luz said.

'Another thing I need to learn about, magic school.' Luz thought.

"Anyway, no. I haven't seen a girl with glasses in a plant track uniform." Luz said to Skara.

"Damn it, Willow." Skara said, "Thanks anyway, hope I see you again."

"Yeah, me too." Luz said, waving Skara goodbye before continuing to look for Boscha.

'Darn, now she's really gone!' Luz thought.

Luz groaned and headed back to King. It's safe to say; the small demon was not happy to see her.

"THERE YOU ARE, YOU JERK!" King shouted, trying to pull the sack behind him!

"Okay, there is no need to say that." Luz said, "I had to go find her. She is the only lead I have to finding my real family."

"Oh boohoo! You think you're the only one who wants to know their real family! You don't think I want to know where my real family is but can't?! Well sorry to tell you this but that's just life!" King shouted as he picked up the sack in a jolt of strength. "So why don't you just shut the hell up and get over it so we can do theses deliveries?!

He threw the sack at Luz, making her nearly fall to the ground as she caught it. She gasped for air as she saw him walk away in a huff.

'What the hell was that?' Luz thought.

Luz didn't think King would react in such a way to her "kind of" ditching him but maybe this might have triggered something more personal within him.

"I... I didn't know he was also looking for his family." Luz said, "He's just like me."

Feeling a bit down from the unknowing truth King told her, Luz picked up the sack and began following him to complete the deliveries.

'I didn't mean to make him upset... I know what to do.'

"King, look at me." Luz said.

King looked at her with an annoyed look.

"I didn't mean to make you upset, so, how about this?" Luz asked, "If you help me find my family, I'll help you find yours."

This made him surprised, greatly surprised since they had just met, and she didn't owe him anything.

"Y-y-you mean it?" King asked.

"We're both demons, all alone in this world… I relate to you, and I want you to find happiness, just like me." Luz said.

"Pinkie promise?" King asked, holding out his pinkie claw.

"Pinkie promise, little buddy." Luz said, hooking her pinkie around his claw, "Now come on, the sooner we get these deliveries done, the sooner we can begin the hunt for our families."

"Right! The first place is this way!" King said, leading the way with more energy than before.

'This is going to be great!' King thought.
