Disclaimer: I do NOT own The Chosen. Dallas Jenkins does and I am NOT making any money off of this. I only own my Original Character: Leah. And none of the events with Leah happened in the Bible. Thank you and God Bless you.

AU storyline here from the previous chapter because I need to write some drama and fluff! This fanfiction stuff is an outlet for me right now and it's either this, cry or do both. Also I think this will speaks volumes about how my faith is faltering right now. So no hate! Not that I read reviews anymore. I know I have said that before but...The review on my other fanfiction says I need to say it once more. Be kind.

"John where are we going?" Leah asked as she ran up behind her brother, finally catching up to him.

It was late at night and Leah was even surprised that her parents had allowed her out this late. She wondered what John could have been planning because he had a devious look on his face. She hoped he wasn't pulling a prank on her.

"Okay tell me what's going on knuckle head" she said now as she stopped him for a minute.

"Time to face him sis" he said simply before he kept walking.

"What?! Oh no! No! John I am not doing this right now!" she said before turning around, ready to run.

Leah had not seen Jesus since they had gotten back to Capernaum after the wedding. She had kept herself well hidden from the man who had broken her heart. She had stayed away from her house miraculously the other day only to come back to find there had been a huge mass of people there earlier and their roof had been torn off.

John caught her arm now and turned her around to face him as tears formed in her eyes. "Leah he wants to speak to you and told me specifically to bring you tonight."

"Why John? So he can break my heart more?" she broke down into sobs in the middle of the street, not caring if anybody heard.

John gathered her into his arms, rubbing her back. He was very protective of his sister, but he also knew that Jesus was a good man and wouldn't intentionally hurt anyone. "Just hear him out sister."

She sighed and continued to walk along with her brother until they reached some steps just outside a house, leading to a roof where Leah heard an all too familiar voice. She sighed and sat down next to John as he started writing in his journal what he was hearing. It all went by in a blur. Leah didn't know where the time had gone when she felt her brother's hand on her shoulder. She looked up at John with a sad look and let him help her up from where she was sitting on the steps.

Just then Jesus walked down the stairs towards the three of them, nodding at John and Andrew before turning to face Leah. "There she is" he said softly. "I thought we had lost you Leah."

She she stared at her sandals before looking up at him with tears in her eyes. "Yeah well you have me here. Now what do you want?"

Jesus sighed softly and turned to face John and Andrew. "You to go on home. I'll take care of Leah here."

John and Andrew nodded before walking off now. When they were a good distance away, Jesus turned around to face Leah who was now visibly crying. It broke his heart to see her this way and he didn't know what had happened.

"Leah" he said simply reaching for her shoulder but she backed off, starting to shake. Partially because she was upset and also because of the cold.

"So you find my journal and just suddenly decide that things can't happen between us? That's how it is now? I didn't even want people to read that!"

"Leah I already know what is in you're heart. It doesn't take a journal for me to know that."

She looked up at him angrily. "Right! Because you're the almighty Messiah and I'm just a stupid little girl who doesn't know anything about love or what I want. Listen to me well Jesus. I have been rejected three times now by men and I'm starting to feel a little worthless here. I didn't even want to fall in love again and then you show up and now I'm a broken mess again! Why bother with love?"

She turned to walk away, but not before Jesus lightly took her arm and turned her around to face him.

"Leah. I may not be here for long. The prophecy says that the Son Of Man must return to his father at some point."

"Jesus I don't even know why I am standing here talking to you" she said now, wiping at her eyes, but the tears just kept on coming. "I don't want to love you anymore. I don't even want to follow you anymore! But it's just hard for me to resist you! And I hate that! I'm losing my faith in you."

Jesus looked down now, tears filling his own eyes before looking back up at her, examining her. She was simply beautiful. Light brown hair, dark brown eyes and flawless skin. She was beautiful in every way and he hated that she was so sad. But what broke his heart the most was that this pure, kind and generous girl didn't want anything to do with him.

"We're both here now Jesus. Can't we be happy that we have that?"

He took a step towards her now, tears streaming down his face as well, reaching out to touch her cheek, wiping some tears away before surprising her with a gentle kiss as he took her face in his hands. It took her a minute to adjust before she wrapped her arms around his waist, clutching at his cloak. She pulled away reluctantly now, her eyes filling with more tears.

"This is the most complicated situation."

"Well let's uncomplicate it" he said softly, taking his cloak off, draping it over her shoulders as he pulled her close. "I just want you're heart Leah and so does the father."

"You had it Jesus. But now I'm not so sure I want to give it to you."

She started to look down once more, only to have Jesus catch her face and lift it up so she could look into his eyes.

"How do I know you won't break it?" she asked shakily, wiping her eyes on her sleeve now as Jesus pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Because I love you" he whispered into her ear shakily as he kissed her cheek softly before kissing her lips once more.

She sobbed into his mouth and wrapped her arms around his neck now, pulling away for a minute. "You let me believe that you didn't love me."

"I only did that to protect you, but now I can see I was wrong. Forgive me please Leah."

She looked into his eyes now that were just as flooded with tears as her's. She had done this and now she felt bad. "I'll never stray from you again" she whispered, kissing him once more.
