~ CHAPTER START ~
Third Point of View
Lancelot walked up to Naruto and, intentionally but playfully bumped his arm against him. When Naruto looked back at him, he wiggled his eyebrows.
"So the Princess, huh?"
Naruto rolled his eyes, "Don't start with me, General."
"Come on, I'm rooting for the two of you. When will you confess?"
"I don't even know if she feels the same."
"I'm sure she does." Lancelot said.
"Why would she continually attend your practices and skip her own meetings just to see you do sparring?"
"Uhm, I'm her friend."
"My god"
"What? That's true." Naruto said. They had reached their field and other knights were lining up. Naruto is the youngest knight.
"Not only that, but didn't you notice how she looks at you?" Lancelot, then nodded to every knight that will bow to him, is trying to convince Naruto.
"The way she looks at me?"
"Yes! Like full of adoration when the two of you are talking or you are doing something, jealousy when some other knights or maids are talking to you. Gosh, I remember feeling that murderous aura. You are so oblivious, though. Every knights and maids are so scared to talk to you whenever the Princess is here because if gaze can kill, I bet they are not here." Lancelot explained.
Naruto shrugged and began wiping his sword with a towel.
"You don't believe me, do you?"
"Who knows?" Naruto replied plainly.
Lancelot gasped in dismay.
"Seriously? I can't with-" Lancelot wasn't able to finish his sentence when a long haired maid passes them.
"Damn, General is about to drool."
Naruto watched as his General observed the maid passing by while talking to her friend.
"Heh~"
This time, Naruto bumped his shoulder and teasingly draped his arm over Lancelot's shoulders.
"So Guinevere, huh?"
Lancelot blushed and moved away.
Naruto smirked when he noticed his blush.
"Ah, N-no. You got it wrong." Lancelot denied.
When an idea crosses his mind, he smirked.
"Hey, Guinevere!"
Guinevere looked in their direction and saw Naruto waving his hand. She was just new to the palace and Naruto had given her a tour.
"Naruto, Hi!" Guinevere returned the gestured. Naruto dragged Lancelot with him, despite of trying to be free from his hold, he didn't win.
"I want you to meet the General, Lancelot." Naruto introduced his General to her. "Handsome, kind, and single. Very very single."
"This kid-!"
"Hello, General Lancelot," Guinevere greeted him warmly. She even smiled and Naruto was sure that Lancelot's heart was beating fast.
'I can hear General talking shit about me in his mind.' Naruto thought.
"Ah Hahaha, yes, I'm Lancelot. Nice meeting you, Guinevere." Lancelot said, trying not to stutter which he succeed.
"I think we better go now, right Kurenai?"
Kurenai nodded and politely excused themselves. The two of them bid them goodbye. When they left, Lancelot glared at Naruto.
"Are you wishing for punishment?" Lancelot threatened.
"Are you wishing for embarrassment?" Naruto teased.
"You son of a-!" Naruto ran away from him as he chased him.
A knock was heard on the Princess' door. Arturia was peacefully reading a book when her sister entered.
"Morgan?"
Morgan walked in with a playful smile, "I heard something interesting, but I won't tell you."
"It's fine, I'm not even interested," said Arturia as she went back to reading her book, completely ignoring her sister.
"Even if it involves Naruto?" Morgan said.
Morgan noticed Arturia sitting frozen in her seat. Arturia closed the book and intently stared at her sister.
"I'm all ears."
Morgan internally laughed, 'Naruto shouldn't feel worried, my damn sister is so whipped to him.'
"I'm just kidding, sis," said Morgan, not wanting to reveal what she had overheard from the General and Naruto.
"Let's all leave this in Naruto. Can't spoil the fun."
"..."
"Don't be mad. I'm just trying to get your attention. Also, Father is planning a party to find a suitable partner for you." Morgan started. Arturia raised her eyebrow.
"For who?"
"For you. You're about to get engaged."
"I must talk to father." Arturia was about to stand but Morgan stopped her.
"Why?"
"What do you mean 'why?'" Arturia asked. She didn't want to marry whomever her father had set up for her. She refused for it to happen.
"The party must stop." Arturia added. "I don't want whoever Father chooses for me. It should be me finding it."
"But you found him already?" Morgan teased, wiggling her eyebrows.
"Don't look at me like that."
"I mean - you're head over heels in love with him. I could tell you really felt something for him."
"..."
"I'm not wrong, am I?" Morgan asked. Even though she knew the answer, she wanted to hear it from her sister.
"You're not wrong. I'm in love with him." Arturia said.
"Then? What are you waiting for? He feels the same, tell him already." Morgan encouraged her.
"I know."
Morgan gasped, "You knew?"
"Yes, of course. I know Naruto, I know his feelings for me."
"Then why aren't you telling him anything?" Morgan asked.
Arturia went back to her bed and sat on it.
"I want him to confess first."
"Haa, right." Morgan reacted. "Anyway, don't stop the party."
"Didn't I tell you that-"
"Don't you want to witness jealous Naruto? Like damn, Naruto is a hottie. You've watched him sweating because of the sparring which is hot and it's Naruto, so a total hottie. Have you seen those builts? Yes of couse you do. You always stare at him from head to toe, intently Sis. Intently. How about watch him burning in jealousy?"
"I didn't know you've experiencing thirsty feelings for my Naruto."
"Haa! What do you mean 'my Naruto'? He isn't yours yet, Sis. I can still steal him from you." Morgan playfully threatened.
"Naruto is mine and he knows it."
"So much confidence, I'm outta here. See ya, Sis." Morgan left Arturia's room.
Naruto started preparing the swords for sparring later. He's sure that the Princess will be around like what she always did.
"Gather around!" Lancelot exclaimed.
Everyone gathered and went toward him. They found him with a male they didn't know.
"This is Shirō, Emiya Shirō. He's a geologist and will be staying with us for a while. Be good to him." Everyone went to him and started greeting him. You went back to the troops.
"You're not gonna greet him?" Lancelot asked.
"Nah."
"Why not?"
"I'm too lazy to interact with new people. Maybe next time."
"Right - Oh! The Princess is here." Lancelot noticed.
"Gather once more and greet Her Highness."
Everyone did what they were asked to do. Arturia went to Naruto after greeting them back.
"Starting?"
Naruto nodded, "Was about to."
Shirō went to them and introduced himself. It's an honour to meet the Princess.
"Princess, I am Emiya Shirō. A geologist from Ishigami Village. It is a pleasure to meet you, Your Highness." Shirō bowed and asked for the Princess' hand, which she raised. He then held and kissed it as a sign of respect.
"You're the geologist that my father was talking about." Arturia started. "Pleasure to meet you, too."
"What a pleasure it is for His Majesty to speak of me."
"My Father admires you."
Noticing that Shirō was still holding Arturia's hand, Naruto snorted. The two were both engrossed in their conversation. It seemed as if the two of them had known each other for a long time.
Not liking what he was seeing, Naruto coughed, making them look at him.
Shirō let go of her hand and bowed again. This time, he excused himself.
"What was that for?" Arturia asked.
Naruto gave an innocent look.
"What?"
"You coughed."
"My throat is dry, that's why."
"Sure, you can fool me."
Naruto pouted and walked closer to her. He wrapped his arms around her body.
"Sorry, Lover."
Arturia relaxed against his arms. "Are you digging your own grave? They're probably talking about us, you're casually hugging me."
"They can talk but they can't join." Naruto said. Which made Arturia hug him back.
"You called me 'Lover' again."
"Do you want me to address you as 'Princess'?"
"No, stick with Lover." Arturia whispered. "I don't mind."
Naruto released Arturia. "We'll start sparring now. Talk to you later, okay?"
"Okay."
